My life on being a first time momma is very challenging sometimes you have to juggle work, wife duties and to your ugh... "pocket upkeeps".I am a mother of a nine month old rocker and one of my goals in life is to have him baptized before he turns one year old... I search online for the baptismal souvenirs, balloons, restaurant, and even a rent a car for a day to help our ninongs and ninangs transpo from church to reception. Everything was an easy-breezy if you put your techie side in your mommy instincts.

So, let's start... first of all, decide first how much is your budget (I guess that's the first thing you have to consider) next, is the date when, and where (what church) do you want to baptized your little one. I just made my online invitations and I made it personally using my photoshop skills! (yup, you need to exhaust your talent sometimes haha!) Then, according to your budget, choose among online listings the affordable yet fabulous souvenirs according to your budget (you have to be strict on this one!), I got a very affordable one, that is P25/pc. I ordered around 12 pcs. You're done with the invitations, souvenirs or giveaways next is the church... I considered the church where my in laws and my family can meet halfway, plus my staycation place for the event is just a few blocks away.

Then, the restaurant! This part gave me so much stress! the event schedule was a season's hectic schedule... every restaurant and event place was fully booked that time and I was so lucky because I was able to find a great deal restaurant with a promo that time, I spent around 7k for 20 plus persons... and of course, the party will be so boring without balloons right??? I scout online and found a very affordable I spent 400 pesos for the balloons, and that is transpo inclusive. Lastly, the car that I rent for a day, anyway, this is optional so you can skip this one... but since I wanted everything to be flawlessly perfect, I made an arrangement for an Adventure (1k for a halfday) who will fetch us with ninongs and ninangs going to reception area. All in all I guess I spent less than 8k for the whole thing! Everything was a blast, had fun and enjoyed the day! Just remember mommies, you have to make diskarte to have an awesome and affordable baptismal!

It was near end of school year and I am a bit curious about the ad in the internet about AutoCAD.... Some says it is only for the "boys" since it has so many architectural drawings and geometrical stuff, and my friend told me that "curiosity can kill the cat", but what the heck! I said to myself I would like to try... so, I decided to enroll and was able to finish the whole course...without absences! Indeed, it was tiring,, and the drawings and computations are eye sore to me but with the help of divine intervention (full of prayers) and of course hardwork, I was able to make it and will get my certificate after a month! I am still thinking if I want to try the advance AutoCAD... Why not??? KUDOS to all women out there who strived hard for their dreams and never give up! I know women can make it! :-)

NDDRMC: Death toll from magnitude-7.2 quake rises to 158

(Updated 11:30 a.m.) The death toll from Tuesday's magnitude-7.2 quake in Central Visayas rose to 158 before noon Thursday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.

In a media briefing, the NDRRMC said the latest two fatalities were from Bohol and who were previously reported missing, radio dzBB reported.

Of the 158, the NDRRMC said 146 were from Bohol, 11 from Cebu and one from Siquijor.

Of the 374 injured, 188 were from Bohol, 182 from Cebu, three from Siquijor and one from Negros Oriental.

The number of people affected also went up, to 671,967 families or 3,406,227 people.

At least 72 evacuation centers have been set up in Cebu and Bohol to accommodate 12,976 families or 65,274 people.

Showbiz power personality lovebirds Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil separate ways on Thursday morning, July 25.

In a statement, that was confirmed by ALV Talent Circuit, which manages the careers of the 31-year-old "It's Showtime" host and the 25-year-old "ASAP" mainstay, in a statement cited in a Yahoo! OMG report published Thursday.

"On behalf of our artists, Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil, we are greatly saddened by their admission that they have indeed mutually agreed to end their relationship of more than four years," the statement read.

"With due respect to their privacy, we are refraining for issuing any other facts or statements related to the issue at this critical juncture," it added.

The reason for the break-up, which reportedly took place last week, was not specified.

Gil was reportedly seen emotional inside her "ASAP" dressing room last Sunday, a source told ABS-CBN News.

On Monday, and in subsequent episodes of "It's Showtime" this week, Crawford continued to regularly co-host the program.

Last January, Gil openly shared that she feels Crawford is the man she will spend the rest of her life with. "Parang in terms of, kumbaga, checklist, check na check lahat. Mga 98 over 100 siguro," she said at the time.

Crawford, for his part, has said he "couldn't ask for more" in their relationship. "Hindi naman siya perfect... wala namang relationship na perfect, but it's more than perfect for me," he said in March.

As I was browsing thru newspapers ads, a web design class ad caught my eye, as I was wonderin' how it works so I gave it a try, at first I was quite hesitant, but eventually enjoyed it... Every Saturday I need to wake up early to prepare my breakfast and all, need to rush to commute, because I don't want to be late, heck, no! with my classmates being there on time... but I laughed when got there, to my surprise, it was only me and one of my classmates waiting at the training room to open... lol. Well, as minutes got by, one by one we were complete, and every Saturday my instructor patiently taught us how to do codings, html, animation, web designing and gave us some points we can keep if ever we wanted to become web designers... and after 40 gruelling hours of training, it is not only the information that I got, but also new friends I found... classroom full of laughters while doing the activities and sometimes, asking each other what to do, how to execute the activity, we did successfully! And Oh! I won't forget the "Amihan" Restaurant where we ate our lunch with my classmates, laughing and telling life stories of our own, and the Carinderia near the President Tower with open fresh air, hehe. I won't forget the experience and all... I got two important things when I enrolled, new friends and new information... :) kudos everyone!

“I’d take more chances, I’d take more trips, I’d climb more mountains, I’d swim more rivers, I’d visit places I’ve never been to. I’d eat more ice cream and fewer beans.

“ I’d have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary ones!

“You see, I was one of those people who lived prophylactically and sensibly and sanely hour after hour and day after day. Oh, I’ve had my moments, and if I had it to do over again, I’d have more of those moments – moment by moment by moment.

“I’ve been one of those people who never went anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a gargle, a raincoat and a parachute. If I had it to do all over again, I’d travel lighter next time.

SECTION 2. The proclamations declaring national holidays for the observance of Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha shall hereafter be issued after the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar, or upon Islamic astronomical calculations, whichever is possible or convenient. To this end, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) shall inform the Office of the President on which day the holiday shall fall.

SECTION 3. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) shall promulgate the implementing guidelines for this Proclamation.

SECTION 4. This Proclamation shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 5. This Proclamation shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation.

Hey, working girls! I know we’ve been so busy working all day and we have no time to prepare for something healthy and easy to do desserts, aside from it is low in fat, it will also energize you for a whole day... you can bring this to the office, school or can be a sweet gift to your loved ones...

I prepare a dessert that is soooo easy, you don't need to be a pastry chef to do this and this is not expensive... Get your pen and paper and start writing it down and try this.

CRUNCHY CRUNCH

INGREDIENTS

100g butter

½ cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons golden syrup

2 ½ cups rolled oats

½ cup crushed nuts

1 egg, beaten

Extra crushed nuts

PROCEDURE:

1. Melt butter, brown sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan over a low heat.

2. Mix oats, nuts, eggs and melted butter mixture until well combined.

3. Divide mixture into 4 even portions and shape into bars.

4. Roll each bar in crushed nuts, wrap in foil and set in refrigerator. Serve cut into small bars.

This will make 48 crunchy crunch.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Nutritional Value Per Serve: Fat 3g Carbohydrate 5.5g Protein 1g

Going Loco over BayView Park Hotel

Okay, here we go... I was preparing for my seminars and the place where it was held - BayView Park Hotel. As I enter the hotel with my friend I noticed that the place is clean, it is quite small but nice and cozy... i think it is a 3 star or 4 star hotel... big and bright chandeliers are on the ceilings, smiling staff are there to greet you and assist you where is the seminar. So, when we enter the room, coffee buffet as I call it, because the corner of the room is for white cups and saucers with unsurmountable amount of cream, sugar and tea packs (if you like tea) are being placed at the table with of course freshly brewed coffee. The room where the seminar was held was too cold, even if you told the waiters to lessen the temp. of the aircon, it was too cold! So, my advice is bring your jacket with you folks! (just in case you will have an event at BayView Park Hotel. ) The staff are very nice... and friendly... they always smile... so I smiled back at them too... the waiters inside the room makes sure that they gave their assistance, example, if you need something like coffee, juice, or water... while the seminar is on-going. About the food, it was so delicious! It is not a buffet style, It was served one by one with a well groomed waiters, and they were on time. I also would like to congratulate the chef for his or her job well done... the steak are well done and the red sauce is superb! The other meal is seafood, i like the white sauce on top of the breaded shrimp and the mouth-watering calamares with breaded fish with white sauce too and the crunchy veggies. I noticed how they accentuate their dish, it was simply amazing!...desserts are okay too, peaches and creamy mousse i think it is cheese, on top of it is cherry... yummmy....

So, if you would like to stay in a cozy hotel yet affordable, or you would like to conduct a seminar, why try BayView Park Hotel located at the heart of Manila? Well, I'm not here to promote the hotel... lol... but I'm just giving a piece of advice... by the way, the seminar goes well too... thanks to the place where the seminar was held it was successful because we are comfortable with their very good amenities and well trained staff. :)
