There must be a reason why I don't reach for this dress too often, oh yea, the fact that it's bright neon pink! I just feel so obnoxiously in your face every time I wear it out. No one can miss me, that's for sure. Well after weeks of wearing colored denim, it does feel good to go back to my cute dresses again.

I've been wearing this golden necklace with everything recently, it makes me feel like an egyptian queen or something to that effect. So definitely a new favourite for me.

In other exciting news, I'm hankering for a haircut and possibly, a new hair color. Hopefully I can find time to get them done soon! It's so hard growing my hair out again, I feel like it's trapped in the shoulder length twilight zone ♥

First off, apologies for the silence again. For the past 2 weeks, I've been hit by a terrible flu bug and I've been spending my time nursing the cold. So I'm sorry if I look really ill in these pictures. Anyway, I'm apparently still not tired of colored denim, in fact I went a little matchy-matchy with the shoes too! And I don't know if you guys can see it, but I had polkadotted nails. Some of my friends commented that they looked like ladybirds and I rather think it's adorable:)

It feels like ages since my last post! Anyway, I've been all about collared shirts lately, I particularly love the sharp collar on this peachy top. Decided to pair it with my bright pink denim for a casual day out, because I guess I'm not over the obsession with colored denims yet as well!

Oh, and can you spot my cute umbrella earrings? It was a gift from a friend and I love them so ♥

Lately, I've been really addicted to collared tops and colored denim, which is really quite a strange thing considering the amount of dresses I've amassed and usually feel more comfortable in. Maybe I'm starting to grow up a lil? And I love the whole necklace over collars thingy going on everywhere, in fact I can't get enough of it!

Another thing that I can't get enough of? Topshop makeup! Those of you following me on instagram (@sherilynne) may well be aware of my obsession. Here I'm wearing the Topshop Infrared lipstick (saw it on Zoella280390 and I just had to try it out myself) which is a nice orangey red kind of shade. I picked up Oh La La and recently Innocent as well, and I must say the I really love the texture and quality of their lipsticks. It doesn't dry out my lips like some other lipsticks does and the colors are so gorgeous. They also have a really big collection of nail polish that I find hard to say no too! All in all, I would definitely recommend checking their makeup collection out ♥

Pardon the awkward silence these past few days, it feels like forever since I've had the time to sit down and prepare a blog post. Hence, this post is about a week late!

Anyway, I'm really excited about two things in particular right now.
One, this simple but oh so gorgeous pair of black pumps (I promise better pictures of them in the next post!)
And two, husband and I've just booked a trip to Hong Kong in June. We've never been so we're definitely looking forward to all the eating and shopping to be found there. Gonna put in some research time now ♥

Anybody else shocked that it's April already? Though there are plenty of exciting things all lined up for me in the later part of this year, one of it being my only sister's wedding in September! Now if only time would slow down a lil for me to hunt down that perfect maid of honor dress! Fingers crossed xx

Yesterday, I decided to mix peachy pink and various shades of brown in what may seemed like another boring maxi dress and jacket combination. But I threw on the long chain necklace that I found in my old room the other day and voila, this outfit became completely fresh and a bit uncommon again (at least that's what I think). I don't know, why don't you guys be the judge!

I'm so loving my naughty saute pink lipstick from mac, here I added a lil of candydoll's strawberry milk lipgloss and I kinda love the pale pink results in the end. I'm forever collecting pink lipsticks, it's such a terrible habit ♥

Hope your days have been as bright as the colored jeans I have on here! Had to get some color here as I just realized my last 3 posts have been really blue-ish. And yes, I matched my nails to my red jeans, though my nails are actually more of an orangey red in real life. I also can't get over how cute the pokadotted bow ring from F21 is, I think it looked really nice with the nail color ♥

So I've been rather taken with layering my necklaces over my collared shirts these days. Why didn't someone think of this earlier? It would have saved many a drab outfits:)

And I can't imagine ever seeing cutout blouses making a comeback but here they are again! The last time I wore something with cutout shoulders was when I was twelve, in a birthday dress from my aunt which I remembered cherishing so much. It's honestly crazy to see them back in the shelves again ♥

Toughened up my pretty bow dress with a brown cropped vest the other day. I quite liked the end result so I may pair up the vest with my other sweet dresses in the future, just to change it up a little. Anyway, this was what I wore for a brunch outing with the husband to a place called Marmalade, where we possibly had the best avocado salad ever. Heavenly ♥

Every so often I like to pretend I'm a schoolgirl again, at least in a Blair Waldorf-ish kind of way. Although in reality, we actually only had ugly tiresome uniforms to put on every school day. Oh well, at least now, I finally get to clothe myself in schoolgirl outfits the way I imagine them to be!

Who was your favourite best dressed in this year's Oscars? I managed to catch a bit of the Oscars and was instantly captivated by Rooney Mara, which was my favourite. Her dress was simple and elegant and I especially loved her hair and make up. A close second would be Michelle Williams in her sweet red dress ♥

My collection of lipsticks! From the darkest shade to the lightest (the Sephora honey on the furthest right is a new purchase and I must say I'm really loving nude lips). I wear the Revlon Persian Melon super pink lipstick almost all the time, it cost next to nothing and it's by far my favourite go to. I'm curious to know what are your favourite lipstick color and brand!

My collection of lipgloss tends to be super girlish pink, I think they're the best color for lipgloss. Especially when they come in shades that looks yummy and edible too.
I must admit I was more impressed with the Sephora lipstick wand packing than the colors themselves, but I haven't try out all the colors yet. So the process of trying out each color should be quite fun in itself!

These two items are some new addition to my makeup collection and I truly love them to bits. Posie tint gives such a beautiful pink blush to my cheeks and the Porefessional does its job really really well in minimizing the appearance of pores. So I'm really glad I got them the other day.

These are the other blushers I have that I've neglected a little after I got the posie tint. Still those Stila blush pots are wonderful products and I can't believe such tiny pots had lasted me for years! And I use them almost everyday too.

Eyeliner is such an important part of my makeup routine. It does wonders to open up one's eyes and my favourite would have to be the Canmake pencil liner, its gives a really thick creamy effect that I just adore.

My favourite mascara is actually the giant Kiko mascara that I bought during my trip to Paris last year. It was really really cheap and I've never heard of the brand before but it beats the rest of the mascaras I have here.

I tried and I tried to get my hands on the Urban Decay Naked/ Naked 2 Pallete in Sephora but no such luck till today! So I settled for their Book of Shadows IV which is pretty neat but I hope I get to a Naked pallete one fine day soon! My favourite eyeshadow colors are the midnight rodeo and midnight cowgirl, they're so shimmery and glittery:)

I got this collection this month and have only tried out the pink color, can't wait to try out the other 4. It took me about 1-2 coats to get a really matte shade, so I'm pretty pleased with this buy too.

Lately, I've been enjoying some time off blogging, basically just lazing around and enjoying life. Besides working from Monday to Friday, that is.

I've recently became quite the beauty and make up junkie (must be all those youtube makeup tutorials I've been obssesed with lately). Macaron pink

I've been dying to title one of my posts 'macaron pink' and finally today I could! I've had this pretty pink peter pan collared dress (quite a mouthful, i know) in my wardrobe and thought today was the perfect day to wear it. I honestly felt like such a doll in it, even more so with my aptly named candydoll 'macaron pink' lipgloss (i'm thinking of getting the one called strawberry milk too, should i?), my new hair colour, and the cutesy ribbon pin on my collar.

After a stint of polkadots, I'm now back to a steady diet of peter pan collars, hearts tights and loafer pumps. I didn't realize though that I was in all shades of brown this particular day. It's a color I rarely wear but somehow I think it looks really pretty in this outfit. So here's to adding more brown-ies in the closet ♥

I've been listening to two new favourite songs on repeat lately, this cover of Safe and sound by Taylor Swift and I won't give up by Jason Mraz. So good!

Hi lovelies! Chinese new year celebrations coupled with some quality time with the husband has kept me from checking in here this past week. It's been quite awhile since husband has had a long (and by long, I mean 5 full days!!) break from the hospital so I try to spend as much time with him as I possibly can. It's also been some time since I've worn my striped tutu skirt here, so this is me in a gothic-ish ballerina outfit. But I can't stand being in all black and white so that's how the red heels came into the picture ♥

Honestly, I did not plan on having three consecutive polkadotted outfits in a row but as fate would have it, here I am in the third one! Hope you're not too bored of dots yet! I paired my paperbag skirt with hints of red and pink for a kind of pre-valentine theme. It's way too early but I'm quite excited at the thought of celebrating valentine's day with husband for the first time in three long years ♥

Happy new year, lovelies! Hope you had the best of time ushering in 2012 with your loved ones. After a delicious japanese meal, husband and I decided to head home and countdown with some apple juice in champagne glasses. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my last hour of 2011 ♥

2011 has been a really wonderful year for me, God has blessed me with a beautiful wedding, a great husband and a lovely new home and I really couldn't ask for more. Am truly grateful for everything that I have and looking forward to see what 2012 has in store. Hopefully it will bring greater and better things for all of us!

My new year's outfit is this simple polkadotted dress with scalloped edges, which had me at hello. And the adorable bee ring is a gift from husband when we went out shopping yesterday, love the little guy:)

Hope you guys had a really wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. I spent a perfect day, first in church in the morning and then dinner with husband at tony romas for some good old ribs, they were so yummy. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas. I still can't believe how fast this year has passed by, it's insane!

This was actually what I wore on boxing day, but better late than never right? It was a really comfy outfit so I added the chunky necklace husband gave me for christmas to add some glitz to it. I can easily envision this necklace in so many other combinations, so I'm really glad husband got me something I love!

Now that the celebrations and festivities has come to an end, how does everyone feel? I'm quite sad and bummed about it so I think I may just have to keep my Christmas tree and lights on for a little bit longer ♥

Decided to wear this forgotten dress with sort of Christmassy colors last weekend. The thing I love most about it is the velvet trimmings on the dress, it's so pretty! And of course, I had to pair it with my lovely bright red platforms ♥

It was such a surprise to see this dahlia dress making an appearance on glee courtesy of rachel berry few weeks back. Well, it only added one reason for me to love it even more. And I still can't get enough of this satchel purse.

Over the weekend, we stuffed ourselves full with various Christmas parties and I think it may well continue over the next few weeks. Getting so excited over the thought of spending Christmas with my loved ones. I'm sure everyone is feeling the same way. Truly can't wait!
