He Is Risen

“[Jesus Christ] rose from the grave to ‘become the firstfruits of them that slept’ (1 Corinthians 15:20). As Risen Lord, He visited among those He had loved in life” “The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles,”

This lesson will teach the doctrine and events associated with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. As students increase their understanding and testimony of the Resurrection, they will gain perspective and hope as they face the challenges of mortality.

“The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it”

· Why do you think all other gospel principles are “appendages” to the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ?

“Without the Resurrection, the gospel of Jesus Christ becomes a litany of wise sayings and seemingly unexplainable miracles—but sayings and miracles with no ultimate triumph. No, the ultimate triumph is in the ultimate miracle: for the first time in the history of mankind, one who was dead raised himself into living immortality. He was the Son of God, the Son of our immortal Father in Heaven, and his triumph over physical and spiritual death is the good news every Christian tongue should speak”

Explain that the Resurrection redeems us not only from physical death but also from spiritual death. If there were no resurrection, then all people would eventually become like the devil. Testify that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ completed the Atonement and made it possible for God’s children to return to His presence

“If Jesus was in fact literally resurrected, it necessarily follows that He is a divine being. No mere mortal has the power in himself to come to life again after dying. Because He was resurrected, Jesus cannot have been only a carpenter, a teacher, a rabbi, or a prophet. Because He was resurrected, Jesus had to have been a God, even the Only Begotten Son of the Father.”

“Therefore, what He taught is true; God cannot lie.”

“Therefore, He was the Creator of the earth, as He said.”

“Therefore, heaven and hell are real, as He taught.”

“Therefore, there is a world of spirits, which He visited after His death.”

“Given the reality of the Resurrection of Christ, doubts about the omnipotence, omniscience, and benevolence of God the Father—who gave His Only Begotten Son for the redemption of the world—are groundless. Doubts about the meaning and purpose of life are unfounded. Jesus Christ is in fact the only name or way by which salvation can come to mankind. The grace of Christ is real, affording both forgiveness and cleansing to the repentant sinner. Faith truly is more than imagination or psychological invention. There is ultimate and universal truth, and there are objective and unchanging moral standards, as taught by Him.”

“Given the reality of the Resurrection of Christ, repentance of any violation of His law and commandments is both possible and urgent. The Savior’s miracles were real, as is His promise to His disciples that they might do the same and even greater works [see John 14:12]. … Given the reality of the Resurrection of Christ, death is not our end, and though ‘skin worms destroy [our bodies], yet in [our] flesh shall [we] see God’ [Job 19:26]”.

“The ‘lively hope’ we are given by the resurrection is our conviction that death is not the conclusion of our identity but merely a necessary step in the destined transition from mortality to immortality. This hope changes the whole perspective of mortal life. …

“The assurance of resurrection gives us the strength and perspective to endure the mortal challenges faced by each of us and by those we love, such things as the physical, mental, or emotional deficiencies we bring with us at birth or acquire during mortal life. Because of the resurrection, we know that these mortal deficiencies are only temporary!

“The assurance of resurrection also gives us a powerful incentive to keep the commandments of God during our mortal lives”.

“For two and a half years [the Apostles] had been upheld and inspired by Christ’s presence. But now he was gone. They were left alone, and they seemed confused and helpless. …“What was it that suddenly changed these disciples to confident, fearless, heroic preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? It was the revelation that Christ had risen from the grave” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: David O. McKay [2003], 62).

UNDILUTED TEACHING ABOUT DEATH AND RESURRECTION

There’s probably no other subject harder to preach or teach than that of the state of the dead. We humans are very sensitive about what happens when we die. Almost all of us are in one stage or another of grieving for a loved one. And someone, who is struggling with a terminal illness or knows someone who’s struggling, will most likely find the subject disturbing.

It’s not a subject we enter into lightly, but is something that Jesus Himself confronted on more than one occasion and most of us want to know what He taught about death.

Humans seem to be the only animals on earth that are disturbed by death thought. It’s only natural that we are, because God did not create us to die. He had eternity in mind for us from the very beginning. Until this foreign element of sin and death entered the picture, we were meant to live forever. Mankind has always taken this desire to live beyond the grave seriously and understandably so. God gave us that desire.

Key Text: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.’ “ John 11:25 NKJV

Jesus fulfills our hopes for eternal life. He gave us life when we were born, and has the power to give it again at the resurrection. We’re not just talking about death here, but resurrection, about life.

Christianity is the only world religion today that can point to an empty grave of its founder, Buddha, Muhammad, Abraham, and Confucius remain in the tomb.

This should not be a depressing subject, but a joyful one. It involves the greatest promise given to us in God’s Word. Someone has said that the resurrection isn’t the most important thing. It’s the ONLY thing! This week we discover why this is so.

SUNDAY: THE STATE OF THE DEAD

Jesus brought several people back to life, but perhaps His crowning act of this nature was with His friend Lazarus. In this case, Lazarus had been dead and in the grave for four days. What a dramatic display of Jesus’ power over death this was!

You’ll recall Jesus’ description of Lazarus’ death. “…He said to them, ‘Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.’ “ John 11:11 NKJV

Like the Old Testament writers, Jesus used the metaphor of sleep, or rest, to indicate the state of the dead. See I Kings 11:21 (David slept with his fathers). This is a fitting illustration of the unconscious condition of a person after death.

Martha also made a correct statement regarding her understanding of the state of death. She said to Jesus in John 11:24, “…I know that he [her brother Lazarus] will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Notice she didn’t say, “He HAS risen”, but that he WILL rise again…AT THE LAST DAY.

You may recall that Satan’s first lie to mankind was “You will not surely die.” Genesis 3:4 NKJV It was a common belief among pagan religions even during Jesus’ time that the soul was immortal. That some part of us lives on after death. Satan has used this concept of the dualistic nature of man, having both a soul and body, to further blur the lines of our understanding of the certainty of death.

The belief that our souls or spirits go directly to heaven when we die has opened up the opportunity for heretical beliefs, such as purgatory, spiritualism, and even channeling. And it will certainly set the stage for more deceptions in the future.

Discussion Questions: Read Luke 23:43, Jesus’ promise to the thief on the cross. Read it twice, once with the comma before “today” and again with the comma after “today”, knowing that commas were not in the original text, but supplied by translators. How does the meaning change? [Why could Jesus not have fulfilled that promise to the thief on that day? Read John 20:17 to verify your answer.]

Read Genesis 35:18, talking about Rachel’s death. Versions describing this event vary. Some say her soul was departing, but others say she breathed her last. Which do you think is the best translation of the word for “soul” here? Strong’s Concordance verifies that the word “soul” has both meanings. How might this apply to other examples in the Bible and why is our correct understanding of death in the first place is so important?

MONDAY: THE HOPE OF RESURRECTION

Since our focus is on Jesus as we explore this topic of death, we are encouraged to find that Jesus has power over both life and death. John 1:4 says, “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” NKJV This passage takes us back to creation. The Gospel of John begins with “In the beginning”, same as Genesis.

Let’s go back to creation and see how Jesus created man. It says in Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” [Notice it doesn’t say man HAS a soul, but that he became one. Other translations render the text with the phrase “became a living being (or person)”.]

Jesus also pronounced Himself as “the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) This is the basis of our hope that Jesus, the Giver of life in the first place, can provide for our resurrection, which is a reversal of death.

But how does the resurrection happen? We’ve seen how Lazarus came back to life. Jesus called him, “Lazarus, come forth.” (John 11:43) Once again, when He resurrected Jairus’ daughter, we discover:

“But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, ‘Little girl, arise.’ Then her spirit [or breath] returned, and she arose immediately…” Luke 8:54, 55 NKJV

As God spoke our earth into existence, He will someday call all His “sleeping” children from the grave. Paul describes it this way:

“For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” I Thessalonians 4:15-18 NKJV

Discussion Questions: Read I Corinthians 15:50-58. How do we know that this event and the one in I Thessalonians refer to the Second Coming of Christ? See also Matthew 24:31, the chapter where Jesus described the Second Coming, in response to His disciples’ questions about the end of the world.

Read Matthew 16:27 for what Jesus said about when we receive our reward. [What is the purpose of the Second Coming if all the saints are already in heaven? If the unrighteous go straight to their reward in hell, as commonly thought, what would be the justice of having some suffer longer than others, depending on when you died?]

TUESDAY: THE RESURRECTION AND THE JUDGMENT

A check with Strong’s Concordance indicates that the resurrection was a favorite topic of the New Testament church, and understandably so. Jesus, however, mentions the word only sporadically. Most notably was His reply to Martha that “I am the resurrection and the life.”

Jesus also gave this statement in John 5:28-29, which verifies that there are actually two resurrections in store for this planet:

” ‘Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth–those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.;’ ” NKJV

This statement corroborates what we find in Revelation 20:5, 6:

“But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection [the one that occurred at Jesus’ Coming]. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.”

This second death occurs after the second resurrection:

“Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:14, 15 NKJV

Discussion Questions: Although none would contend that we are saved by our belief in Jesus, what parts do works play in the judgment? The last chapter in Revelation seems to point to our works as a major factor in who will have access to the tree of life and who will perish. Read Jesus’ entire discourse in John 3:16-21 and find what effect our belief or lack of it has on our works.

Do temptations still reach God’s people, even after they surrender their wills to God? Are we always successful in avoiding sin and how often will God forgive us if we continue to sin? Thank God, He judges us not just by our actions, but by our hearts. And only He knows the true condition of the heart.

WEDNESDAY: WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT HELL

A look through the Gospels to determine what Jesus said about hell reveals some very reassuring words. (Check Strong’s Concordance under the word “hell”.)

First, Jesus does verify that there is punishment for the wicked, for those who do not surrender themselves to God and strive to live for Him. Evil will not always reign on our planet. God has a plan to eliminate sin and those who have aligned themselves on Satan’s side of this universal conflict.
Second, although Jesus does refer to the everlasting effects of this lake of fire, even saying it can’t be quenched in Mark 9 (as when the fire department can’t put out a fire, it’s called unquenchable; it leaves nothing but ashes), there is no indication that Jesus intended hell (which is also a word translated “grave”) to be a place where people are suffering the intense pain of burning continuously in some unknown place the instant they die. This kind of suffering and punishment does not seem possible for a God, who claims to be full of mercy, justice, and love. And many people have rejected Christianity, based on this doctrine alone.

Some theologians use the parable of the rich man and Lazarus to substantiate their claims of this hidden underworld of endless torture. The story, found only in Luke 16:19-31, does picture a place called Hades, in addition to a place simply called Abraham’s bosom. Like many of Jesus’ parables, He uses an earthly story to illustrate a heavenly point about rewards and punishment.

We have other Biblical evidence to support this view of hell as a place for future punishment and total destruction of the wicked. These and other verses assure us that sin and sinners will be totally eradicated:

II Peter 2:9 “then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,” NKJV
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…”
Psalm 37:20 “But the wicked shall perish…”
Malachi 4:1-3” ‘For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up, ‘Says the Lord of hosts. ‘That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,’ Says the Lord of hosts.” NKJV

Discussion Questions: Read the parable in Luke 16:19-31 and discuss what lesson Jesus seems to be teaching with this story. Who was His target audience?

Strong’s defines Abraham’s bosom as “expressive of heavenly status”. Could this indicate that Jesus was also using figurative language to describe the final punishment of sinners?

THURSDAY: JESUS CONQUERED DEATH

Jesus performed three resurrection miracles before laying down His own life and taking it up again. There was Jairus’ daughter and the son of the widow of Nain. But what a dramatic event when He raised Lazarus, before a crowd of many respected witnesses from Jerusalem. Even the Pharisees were alarmed and it caused many of them to plot more fervently to end the Savior’s life and ministry. This was an extreme threat to their power and control over the people.

Two verses stand out as evidence that it is God who has power over death:

John 5:21 “For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.” NKJV
John 10:17, 18” ‘Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.’ “ NKJV

Men, including Elijah, Elisha, and Peter, to name a few mentioned in the Bible, were instrumental in raising someone to life with the power of the Holy Spirit. But no man has ever had that power available to raise HIMSELF from the dead, except Jesus.

Discussion Questions: Read John 11:14, 25, 40, and 42. What seems to be Jesus’ motive for raising Lazarus from the dead?

What was Jesus anxious for them to believe by witnessing this miracle? And why is this belief important to God’s followers?

Read I Corinthians 15:17-26. Why is Christ called the “firstfruits”? Why is death considered the last enemy?

SUMMARY

"HE IS RISEN!"Without the resurrection (Christ’s and ours), Christianity is just another religion, without the power and hope that leads to eternal life. No religion can offer an empty tomb of its founder. Our belief in the resurrection of Jesus, and in our own resurrection in the future, sets us apart from the world.

Our correct understanding of the state of the dead and the promise of eternal life is of utmost importance for believers. Jesus gave us many insights about the nature of death, combined with promises of a glorious eternal future with Him in heaven.

If ever a firm decision to believe the Bible and the Bible only was important, it is with this topic of death. Many deceptions and false teachings have already entered the Christian world. Most people, even Christians, hold erroneous views about life after death, which may lead to even more deceptions in the future.

CHALLENGE

Using the topical index of your church hymnal, read/sing hymns under the topics of “Death and Suffering”, “Hope and Comfort”, and “Resurrection and Ascension”. Find the verses that are most meaningful to you.
Meditate on Psalm 23 and why it has become so popular, especially as comfort for the dying.
Try to imagine the resurrection scene during Christ’s Second Coming.

LIGHT OF THE WORLD!

Dear heavenly Father, my master and my all in all, you created earth and sky by your great power by merely stretching out your arm.

Dear God for all you have been through my life and ministries “there’s nothing you can’t do” ___ Jeremiah 32:17.

THE MYSTERY OF CREATION/ MAN’s DISOBEDIENCE

In the beginning, God created man in His own image and likeness; blessed him and always had fellowship with him (Genesis 1:26-28; 3:8).

Man lived in the Garden of Eden and enjoyed with no problem of any type. What a glorious, blissful and problem free life! How then came problems into the world? The question to answer. What is the source of headache and unhappiness; sickness and diseases; bondage and oppression; disappointment and failure; wretchedness and poverty transgression and death? SIN is the root cause of all! (Isaiah 57:21). “There is no peace for the wicked, says my God.”

The fall of Adam transferred the sin nature to every person born of a woman; and the wages of sin is trouble and death. “When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned” __ Romans 5:12. “All have sin and fallen short of the glory of God” __ Romans 3:12.

BEWARE OF DISCOURAGEMENT

Discouragement is as a result of fear in man, and the spirit of fear is a powerful force that disintegrates the good targets.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such hostility of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds. You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” __ Hebrews 12:2-4.

“Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of your fathers has said unto you; fear not, neither be discouraged” __ Deut. 1:21.

God is not an author of confusion, He will not tell you to go ahead and at the same time be opposing you on the way. If anyone tries to discourage you from carrying out divine mandate, that person is the devil incarnate, and just as Jesus did to Peter you are expected to tell such a person “get thee behind me Satan.”

Discouragement does not come to a man that has no future. The Bible warns us against being ignorant of the devices of the enemy; the devil will not try to discourage you if you have no bright future or glorious destiny ahead of you.

CAUSES OF DISCOURAGEMENT

ü Seeing God as man

ü Comparing yourself with another man

ü Inability to see God in what you are passing through

ü Relying on men

ü Believing negative report

ü Inability to persist

ü Doubting the possibility of a thing

Beloved, the way out of all problems, challenges and troubles is now opened wider. “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon”__ Isaiah 55:7.

Jesus invites you, even today, to come and enjoy rest, a good life and a time of refreshing.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).

Don’t delay!!!

STEPS TO SALVATION

ACKNOWLEDGE: Admit that you have sinned and need God’s help. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

CONFESS AND REPENT: Be genuinely sorry for the sins you have committed and ask God to forgive you. “Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).

FORSAKE: Determine with God’s help to turn away from all the sins in your life. “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon”__ Isaiah 55:7.

BELIEVE: When you have honestly and sincerely taken the steps above, believe that God will save you. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

RECEIVE: The Spirit of God will bear witness with your spirit, that the work is done. “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16).

Vindicate me Oh LORD!

Vindicate me Jesus!

"Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the LORD without wavering" ___ Psalm 26:1. (RSV)

When the Lord speaks the unusual thing takes place, vindication is a subject that is guaranteed only to those who keeps the Lord’s ways, those who chose to walk in the light of his righteousness and are obedience to the given instructions and commands.

From our text (Psalm 26:1-12) David was confidence and bold of his conflict free inner thoughts (motives), actions, ways of relating or keeping companions or associating with other in respect to his dignity and integrity before God, in his services to God, and to his fellow mankind. He was sure that no single fault or guilty will be find in him as he called upon the Lord to put him on trial and to cross-examine his motive. David has diligently kept the truth, obeyed the instructions, kept the ways of the Lord and recognized who God is to a mortal man.

If today the Lord is to put you on trial and to cross-examine your motive, could all those qualities of justification found in David reveal itself in you too?

Definition and Meaning of Vindication

A definition of vindication means the act of vindicating something or someone and this means to clear, as from an accusation, an imputation, a suspicion, or the like as in the case of vindicating someone’s honor whose name and reputation has been slandered or false accusations have been made against them. The word vindicate has a similar meaning within the context of where it is found in Scriptures and for those who God is vindicating, it’s great news but for those who the Lord directs His vindication toward, it is the worst of news possible.

Vindicating God’s Holy Name

God has said in His Word that “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name” (Ex 20:7) and repeats this warning in multiple places in the Bible such as in Deuteronomy 5:12 where it is written “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.” This is what He means in Ezekiel 36:22-24 “Thus says the Lord God: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations to which you came. And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land.” Today, God’s name is customarily used in euphemistic ways such as “Oh my God” and in the most profane way possible in abbreviation as “OMFG” even though His name is to be revered and is most holy. Jesus’ name is also blasphemed on a regular basis, such as “In Jesus Name” and “Christmas” in the most profane way possible in abbreviation as “IJN” and “XMAS” respectively and this is what taking His name in vain means; in an unthinking, useless, and careless way. Another example is where many use “damn” as God’s last name in their profanity even after repeated warnings from Scripture that “the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.” Sadly, the vast majority of people in the world take no heed to this warning.

The Holy treated Profanely

When God allowed Israel to be taken into captivity as a way to bring them back into a relationship with Him He inspired Ezekiel to write why, “when I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from their enemies’ lands, and through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations” (39:27). The same reason was given in the above paragraph in Ezekiel 36:22-24. Isaiah writes to Israel in speaking for God “He who vindicates me is near. Who will contend with me? Let us stand up together. Who is my adversary? Let him come near to me” (Isaiah 50:8).

God Will Vindicate His People

I get called about every name in the book because I write articles about the Christian faith and the Bible. That’s okay with me because those who persecute me actually bless me although they don’t even know it. That’s fine with me because I’m in pretty good company as Jesus said “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matt 5:11-12). This shouldn’t surprise any Christian brother or sister because Jesus told us ahead of time that “A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20) so “When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it” (1 Cor 4:12) and “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2nd Tim 3:12). I trust God with all of this as Paul wrote in Romans 12:19 “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord” and “The LORD is a God who avenges. O God who avenges, shine forth” (Psalm 94:1). The author of Hebrews writes “For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people” (Heb 10:30). In due time “the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone and there is none remaining, bond or free” (Duet 32:36).

Conclusion

Vindication is not up to us. We must trust God and wait for Him to execute justice for He surely will. It is not for us to take vengeance on those who hate us and persecute us. We know that God will vindicate His people but it will be in His time, not ours. Even among those who profane His holy name He “will not hold him (or her) guiltless who takes his name in vain,” of that you can be 100% certain.

So as you are alive to be; may the God of I and my ancestors "Abraham, Isa'ac and Jacob" vindicate you of all wrong accusations!

THE THREE ROADS TO ETERNITY

PREFACE

The voice I heard from the Lord was “Christian religious teachers, preachers and elders you have misled my flocks, you have putting them into confusion, you have led them astray from my true way of salvation, you teach them on how to practice evil act instead of good deed, you kept them in the custody of disobedience and misbehavior to I your Lord and master. And I the Lord almighty say you “Religious teachers, preachers and elders shall carry their responsibilities on the last day.

I am pleased with the way the Christians of this generation are easily confused and being misled by many false prophets, teachers and preachers, but have said that your religious teachers, preachers and elders shall carry your responsibilities on the last day. Some are weighing the perfection of the Christian faith base on the standard of their various denominational churches. Denominationalism have greatly separated the Christians apart, diversity in the practice of doctrine have led many away from the initial and original truth of the teaching of Jesus Christ about the churches and the functions and the primary mission of the churches.

Bring your selves down and be awake to your primary assignment.

“His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, and loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs who can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, everyone for his gain, from his own quarter. Come you, they say, I will bring wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant” (Isaiah 56:10-12).

“I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be diligent in season, out of the season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they draw to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto myths. But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry” ___ 2Timothy 4:1-5.

The light shined for a while but none of you sighted it. Don’t you realize that the end has come? Don’t you notice some false prophets, teachers, preachers and elders by name following the believers of Christ faith one after the other, and church by church? They are winning their attention and interest with false teaching and miracle as way of winning more members into their various churches or associates into their company.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. Not everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? And in your name have cast out demons? Andin your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity” ___ Mathew 7:15-23.

A single seed is buried into the soil to yield multiple fruits, and yet after the seeds of the fruits produced shall replicate more fruits of it kind, so this sustain the continuity of generation. Just of recent the trumpet sounded once for warning, but not all believers heard that, and even some of those who are opportune to hear the sound, do not care.

THE THREE ROADS TO ETERNITY

Road One is full of bad people: drunkards, robbers, false religious teachers, people seeking pleasure and perversions. The folks on this road don’t even claim to be good. They are on the road Jesus spoke of when he said, “Wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, many there be which go in it.”

Road Two is traveled by people quite the opposite. These folks are dedicated to living in the fear of the one who will judge the world. They deny themselves of fine things big and small that they consider a danger to their spiritual lives. They live as if this world were not their real home. They walk on the road Jesus spoke of when He said, “Straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Road Three is traveled by people who seem too good to be on the first road and yet do not fit on the second. These folks are called Christians, but they would never be considered fanatics. They have sins in their lives and hearts which they consider to be irrelevant in this era of grace. They go to Church, do mission work, and help others. They appear to be on another road to heaven. These things appear to the casual “Christian.” The idea of third road raises some questions for the person who studies the Bible.

Why did Jesus mention only two roads in His sermon on the mount? Did He forget to classify all those good people who don’t seem to fit on either of the two roads?

If not, what is this third road, and where are the people headed who are on it?

However, let’s me concludes my long narration with a brief exposition on the “Road Three”. This road is popular among religious people because it seems right. “There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” ___ Proverbs 16:25.

Pastors themselves travel it _ “His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, and loving to slumber. They like to believe that with all their baggage they can still travel the road to heaven. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust shall they draw to themselves teachers, having itching ears” ___ 2 Timothy 4:3.

Beloved readers of this publication I didn’t expect you to miss that narrow road that leadeth to heaven, your days and nights labor on entry the kingdom of heaven after the trumpet might have sound ought not to be in vain. You now have the grace to make any possible amendment in your area of weakness. The wisdom and strength is of the Lord.

Prayer a medium of communication between God and man.

PRAYER THE ACCESSIBLE WEAPON OF ALL CHRISTIANS!

WHAT IS PRAYER?

P^{RAYER
is the deepest, quite the most profound, activity that any of us – child, man,
woman – is capable of. Nothing we do, think, say, or feel is more authentically
itself than when it is prayed. Two pillar truths support this: God is the defining
reality of all that is, including us; two, God is personally present to us in
all that we are and do. This is what Christians and Jews have always believed.
It follows that when we pray, receiving God’s personal presence and responding
in kind, we are most in touch with reality – the Real World, the God World –
and most ourselves, our true Image-of-God selves.}

^{But this is not an
understanding of prayer current in our culture. The modern world, at least when
it gets down to what it thinks of as serious business, is suspicious of prayer.
Sometimes it is downright hostile. Much of this suspicion derives from the
“masters of suspicion” of the last hundred or so years who have treated prayer
variously as a narcotic that dulls our sensibilities, in capacitating us for
dealing with the hard task of living (Marx); as wishful fantasy, a childish
escape into a dreamland where we never have to grow up and take on the
demanding responsibilities of adulthood (Freud); and as a sieve into which we
pour our powerful energies of will only to have them dissipated useless in the
dirt (Nietzche). Whether as narcotic, fantasy, or sieve, these are not images
of designed to bolster confidence in prayer.}

Prayer is not a method of using God; rather prayer is a mean of reporting for duty to God. Beloved prayer is never a “magic”. But prayer is within the laws of the universe, and the spiritual laws of the universe are as certain and sure as the physical laws. Physical and spiritual laws work together, they are never in conflict. As Pierhal states it, “Although prayer is supernatural, it is not anti-natural.” Prayer is never a substitute for effort. A certain college student failed in his examinations. He was very much surprised. When his lecturer/ counselor inquired how much he had studied, he replied, “I did not study at all. I thought that if you asked God to help you that was all you had to do.” On the other hand, prayer is something beyond our efforts. Prayer is speaking or thinking or feeling with the belief that there is somebody who cares and who will respond. Prayer is a means of contact with God. Prayer is opening our lives to the purposes of God. As earlier stated prayer is not a method of using God; rather prayer is a means of reporting for duty to God.

CAN ANYBODY PRAY?

The answer is, everybody can and does pray. Some people think they are self sufficient and do not need help. Some people scoff at the value of prayer, calling it a silly waste of time. Some people lack faith; others are ashamed to face God in prayer because of some sin; some are afraid to pray because they do not want God telling them what to do.

But at one time or another, in one kind of crisis or another, everybody prays. Need becomes stronger than doubt, and sometimes we will turn to God in spite of ourselves. There is a hidden hunger of man’s spiritual self that cries out to be satisfied. Sooner or later that hidden hunger asserts itself and makes the demands felt. It was just as Victor Hugo said, “There are times in a man’s life when, regardless of the attitude of the body, the soul is on its knees in prayer.”

Have encountered several Christians of such experience, some was due to terrible sins they had committed, while others was due to sorrows, trials, criticisms, troubles etc.

GOD IS AVAIBLE FOR YOU ALWAYS!

Beloved if I should ask you a question, my question would be how often do you maintain a quiet time with God, asking Him to guide and direct your ways toward the accomplishment of His heavenly will; to reveal the plans and desires He has for your life? God has already created, blessed and destined you with abundance wealth and riches. I commend those who have earlier discovered this blessing in them. They are those who sincerely complied with the laws, and rules that God the master has codified down for all sincere believers. Jesus disciples are encouraged to spend enough time with God in prayer. Pray to God, confess all your sins, seek the grace for doing His will, declare and claim all the blessing He has for you through prayer.

Prayer as commonly known to be a means of reporting duty to God, but still there are many questions that our minds will never stops asking ourselves or other people of the same faith on prayer; the mystery, value and power of prayer.

Why some believers pray as though God is reluctant to answer their prayers?

Why some believers doubt the power of prayer?

Why some believers cry and beg God as though he can be coerced (forced) in to obliging their request?

Dear brethren these are some of the blockage problems that I studied in the limited believers I have ever come across in my ministry.

ANSWER

Some times a bridge falls, but that does not mean that the law of gravity has failed, some times lines are short circuited, but that does not mean that the law of electricity has failed. And some times a disciple betrays his Lord, but that does not mean that the law of love has failed. Some times a prayer is seem to be unanswered, but that does not mean that the power of prayer has failed. Do you know that the scientist does not quit when the lines are short circuited, or when the bridge falls? Then why should you quit your prayer life? Just think of what would happen if all Church people united in prayer with a great faith in the laws of God as scientist have in the laws of nature. But instead Christians are fighting, searching and consulting for a perfect denominational Churches here on earth, instead religious leaders have left the substance (God) and following the shadows (the ripped fruits of other denominational churches). “Churches are in conflict.”

Science is showing us that the smaller and more invisible a thing is, the more powerful it is. Pasteur proved to an unbelieving world that bacteria which is tenth-thousand (10,000) times smaller than flea could kill a man. Physicists are proving that the tiny cosmic ray is far more potent and penetrating than the visible sun ray. Radio operators are proving that the short wave length carries a message farther than the long wave length. And love is invisible, but all powerful love is more potent and penetrating than cannons, submarines or airplanes ever can be. What I try to explain here is that, prayer in the inner room, invisible to the eyes of men, is still as potent as in the days when Jesus said, “Pray to thy Father who is in secret and thy Father who seeth in secret shall reward you openly” let’s me conclude by saying “who riseth from prayer a better man, his prayer is answered.” That is really the best result of prayer, but prayer brings definite tangible results. However, we must keep in mind that we ourselves must become part of the answer to the prayer we prayed.

“Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks” __ Mathew 7:7-8. (NLT)

Don’t be relent in asking God for the secret key to His heavenly treasures; for the Bible says “pray without ceasing.”

A PRAYERFUL LIFE IS A GRACEFUL LIFE!

Prayer as it has been previously defined is a key of communication between man and God. Praying is the act of communing or conversing with God as manner of an intimate relationship between man and God. Despite the fact that there are different channels to which blessing and favor could be access, and irrespective of this, suppose as man to man often hold a conversation for a better understanding and the expression of the inner feelings as way of seeking for any possible solution or way out. So likewise man needs to commune with his creator as manner of developing a close and mutual relationship between man and God. And the only accessible channel for that is called “Prayer.”

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.” __ Mathew 7:7-8.

The servant isn’t greater than the master, so we obtained the root and likewise the foundation of a praying lifestyle from Jesus Christ, who does nothing on his own without first of all consulting (praying to) the Father for the right direction and guidance. “But I do nothing without consulting (praying to) the Father.” __ John 5:30a.

Hope you could again remember the song that says, “Prayer is the key/2x Prayer is the master key, Jesus started with prayer and conquered through praying; Prayer is the master key.

The above exposure shows that the entire life of Jesus Christ was spent in praying, consulting the will of the Father on his given assignment. Jesus often felt impress while seeking the divine guidance, so as not to go astray from doing the will and accomplishing the work of the Father. The same thing which I and you ought to be doing for our daily successful living.

PRAYING IN THE NAME OF JESUS

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.” __ Proverbs 18:10

Every answered prayer is the prayers laid and prayed in the name of Jesus. The uniqueness of the name of Jesus prevails in our praying lifestyle and the method which we adopt while praying. There’s no any other name which we can use to tender our requests and desires before God, except by the mentioning of the name of his Son (Jesus Christ) in attachment to our tendered requests and desires. “I appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” ___ John 15:16b.

“You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father: Yes, ask anything in my name, and I will do it!” __ John 14:13-14.

The real believers of the gospel of Jesus Christ ought to pray in the name of Jesus, not through the name of Jesus. For instance, assuming you pray a prayer point as this; “all you strange Spirit of sickness inside of me, I cast you out through the name of Jesus.” My dear, surely know that, you have not yet pray to cast out that spirit. But when you pray as this; “I cast you out in the name of Jesus,” surely know that they are out already!

THE POWER OF PRAYER

“Yea have not, because ye ask not.” ____ James 4:2.

A message from God is combined in those seven short words. Six of the seven are monosyllables, and the remaining word has but two syllables and is one of the most familiar and most easily understood words in the English Language. Yet there is so much in these seven short, simple words that they have transformed many a life and brought many an inefficient worker into a place of great power.

You will find these seven words in James 4:2, the seven closing words of the verse, “Ye have not, because ye ask not.”

These seven words contain the secret of the poverty and powerlessness of the average Christian, of the average minister, and of the average church. “Why is it,” many a Christian is asking, “that I make such poor progress in my Christian life? Why do I win so few souls to Christ? Why do I grow so slowly into the likeness of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ? And God answers in the words of our text__ “Neglect of prayer. You have not, because you ask not.”

“Why is it,” many a minister is asking, “that I see so little fruits from my ministry? Why is there so little conversation? Why does my church grow so slowly? Why are the members of my church so little helped by my ministry, and built up so little in Christian knowledge and life?” And again God replies: “Neglect of prayer. You have not, because you ask not.”

THE EFFECTS OF PRAYER

1. Prayer Will Promote Our Personal Holiness as Nothing Else Except the Study of the Word of God.

But what specifically, will prayer do? We have been dealing in generalities; let us come down to the definite and specific. The Word of God plainly answers the question.

In the first place, prayer will promote our personal piety, our individual holiness, our individual growth into the likeness of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as nothing else but the study of the Word of God; and these two things, prayer and study of the Word of God, always go hand-in-hand, for there is no true prayer without study of the Word of God, and there is no true study of the Word of God without prayer.

Other things being equal, your growth and mine into the likeness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be in exact promotion to the time and to the heart we put into prayer. Please note exactly what I say: “Your growth and mine into the likeness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be in exact proportion to the time and to the heart we put into prayer.” I put it in that way because there are many who put a great deal of time into praying but they put so little heart into their praying that they do little actual praying in the long time they spend at it. There are others who may put so much heart into their praying, that they accomplish vastly more by their praying in a short time than the others accomplish by their praying a long time. God Himself has told us in Jeremiah 29:13: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

2. Prayer Will Bring the Power of God Into Our Work

But not only will prayer promote as almost nothing else our personal holiness, prayer will also bring the power of God into our work. We read in Isaiah 40:31, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk [plod right along day after day, which is far harder than running or flying], and not faint.”

It is the privilege of every child of God to have the power of God in his service. And the verse just quoted tells us how to obtain it, and that is by “waiting upon the Lord.” Sometimes you will hear people stand up in a meeting, not so frequently perhaps in these days as in former days, and say: “I am trying to serve God in my poor, weak way,” Well, if you are trying to serve God in your poor, weak way, quit it; your duty is to serve God in His strong, triumphant way. But you say I have no natural ability; then get a supernatural ability. The religion of Jesus Christ is a supernatural religion from start to finish, and we should live our lives in supernatural power, the power of God through Jesus Christ, and we should perform our service with supernatural power, the power of God ministered by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. You say, “I have no natural gifts.” Then get supernatural gifts. The Holy Spirit is promised to every believer that he may obtain the supernatural gifts which qualify him for the particular service to which God calls him. “He (the Holy Spirit), divideth to each one (that is, to each and every believer) severally even as He will” (I Cor. 12:11). It is ours to have the power of God, if we will only seek it by prayer, in any and every line of service to which God calls us.

“YOU ARE THE PRODUCT OF YOUR THOUGHTS.”

Client: Dear counselor, I am grateful for the previous times I had with you, and for given me a good directive means of understanding myself better than any. Sir, this time around I have thousands questions to ask, but only if I would be given the grace to say out all my questions.

And which some part of my questions goes as this; sometimes ago, you gave me a thought that says, “I am the product of my thoughts.” Sir, how? And why? Again, I have seen people of my age and under age excelling and progressing, while I myself still depend on my parents for provisions. And right from my childhood up bring my mother has always called me a destiny child and have several time encouraged me to a hard-working citizen for an excellent award, but with the above experience, what does it mean to be called a destiny child? Three years ago, I read from Bishop David Oyedepo’s book on purpose that, it could often cost someone a price to discover his purpose, and another different strategy cost to fulfill that purpose. Is it true?

Please I need more delight on destiny and purpose fulfillment.

Counselor: Hmm, my beloved client you said you have thousands of to ask?

Client: Yes!

Counselor: But in counseling class, we don’t often welcome too many questions or complicated issues at a time; all things ought to be in sequential means. We abide by treating problems from the simpler to complex. We handle single problem at a time and tackle the issue to the best satisfaction of our responsible client before we could have access to listen and tackle the next problem.

So, hope you will allow me to feed you of your hunger not in complexity, but simplicity.

Actually I sometimes ago shared a factual point that says, “You’re the product of your thoughts.” But even the Bible said the same thing in Proverbs “As man thinketh, so is he.” As an individual we are the image of our thoughts. Before we could act or react to anything, we reason first. You thought of nakedness to be ignorant and abnormal, and that’s why you clothed yourself with a beautiful clothes. You thought of education to be cheaper than ignorance, and that’s why you chose to attend schools and colleges.

For example, when you often think of failure, so don’t expect the manifestation of anything else, but the failure. And the time you begin to think of yourself to be very important and great, and then you discover yourself acting as the one.

What does it mean to be called a destiny child?

Being called a destiny child doesn’t have any impact on someone’s life, like the fulfillment of that destiny. Every creature created by God has in it a tag mark called destiny. So you being called a glorious son or daughter without such glory has been materialized, that has no any meaning because the people around you are still seeing the former and normal you, not the new you! Your destiny is in you, so strive to fulfill it! And Bishop David Oyedopo was very right; because every race runner runneth for a prize, and before any prize could be won there must be a put down price.

I am also a tutor of destiny and purpose; so much is expected from him, he who wants the best. “Destiny is a call to be.” Who you’re fashioned to be in life is your destiny. And “Purpose is a call to serve.” The expectation of God from that which you have being fashioned to be; is called a purpose.

What if I were to tell you that there is a power within you that can revolutionize your life.

A power that is invisible, intangible, but completely real. A power that can transform you so dramatically that under its influence and guidance you can become an entirely new person, stronger, more confident, better balanced, more energetic, more resilient, more capable of coping with the ever increasing complexity of modern living.

Suppose I added that this remarkable force could lift you from failure to success, from illness to health, from self-doubt to self-assurance.

And then, if I assured you further that it could help you find congenial friends, solve problems, break out of stale habits, fairly explode into a world totally different from the world you have known before, a world of enthusiasm and exhilaration and understanding and joy what would your reaction be?

I think you would want to find out about this power: What is it called? Where does it come from? How do I find it? What must I do to make it operative in my life?

My answers might surprise you because basically they are simple. Everyone knows that there is a life force that sustains and animates every living thing on this planet of ours. With it, you are alive. Without it, you are dead. This life force was put into all of us by God Himself. What I ‘m writing about here is a special manifestation of it, a special concentration of it that will do remarkable things for those who understand it and reach for it and allow it to function in their lives.

I call it the supernatural-endowment power.

It’s the quality of extra-ness that we see in certain people.

People who live with more eagerness, more energy, more enthusiasm than others.

Who set higher goals and achieve them more often. Who keep going despite adversity and hardship. Who shrug off misfortune and give out warmth and caring and encouragement wherever they go.

People, in short, who have in themselves, a marvelous supernatural-endowment power at work.

Well, you may say, I know such people, but what about me? How do I get hold of this extra-ness? Where can I find this supernatural-endowment power?

The answer to that is simple, too. You will find it in the last place you might think of: within yourself.

When the good Lord fashions a human being like you or me, how does He go about it? I like to think that first He arranges all the intricate parts of the body so that they are in balance and harmony with one another: the skin, the bones, the nerves, all the elements that go into a marvelous machine designed to last a lifetime. But He, who created us “a little lower than the angels,” adds one thing more. He gives each of us a power that I call the supernatural-endowment power – that extra something in the spirit.

There it remains, deep in the personality of every individual. You don’t have to search for it; it’s already there. But there is one thing you must realize about the supernatural-endowment power. Its power is potential, but it is not self-activating. It is latent in human beings and will remain latent until it is activated.

That is why it manifests itself more strongly in some people than in others. They are the people who have learned how to call it forth.

If you want this wonderful stream of power to be activated in you, there are four preliminary things you should do.

· First, make the key discovery that the supernatural-endowment power is no myth, no abstraction, but a reality that has been recognized and used by wise men and women for centuries.

· Next, you accept the fact that it is already planted inside of you, waiting to be released.

· Then you decide you want it to become operative. There can be no maybes, no hesitancies, and no half-heartedness about this. You must want it intensely, urgently, and ardently. And you must want it now.

· You decide to face the fact that this marvelous potential built into you is not being fully realized. You admit that in the past – partly through ignorance – it has been blocked, ignored, neglected. You make a promise to yourself to rearrange your thought patterns so that the blocks are removed, and the power can come surging through.

· Finally you do the thing that gives power to your life – the Scriptural method, “But to as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).

We live in a universe of laws that operate in the spiritual as well as the physical world. And here is the crucial thing to remember: The supernatural-endowment power makes its appearance in a person’s life in proportion as that person is in harmony with God and His universal laws.

If you want the supernatural-endowment power to operate in your life, if you want to be on the receiving end of the extra flow of power, you need to learn to think a certain way and act a certain way and be a certain kind of person.

This learning process is well within the reach of all of us, and this Guidance and Counseling page is programmed and designed to help you master it. But don’t expect that mastery to come easily. The supernatural-endowment power is implanted in all of us. But it is planted deep.

It is almost as if the Creator knew that a degree of struggle is good for His children. He also knew that they value most what they value most what they have to for. Consequently, He arranged things so that the supernatural-endowment power is not going to emerge spontaneously in a person. It has to be understood and activated. The Lord installed this hidden dynamo, but it’s our job to remove the blocks and hindrances that short-circuit the emergence of power. It’s our job, to open the doors of our inner selves and let this force, this supernatural-endowment power, come through.

You can often tell at a glance whether the supernatural-endowment power is working in people or not. You see a young walking down a city street, bright hair blowing in the wind, an almost tangible aura of health and vitality about her, confidence in her clear eyes, a sense of purpose in her stride, and you say to yourself, “Yes, there it is. She has it. She has the supernatural-endowment power and the supernatural-endowment power has her.” Then you come upon some unfortunate derelict slumped against a wall, head sunk on chest, eyes staring vacantly into space, and you know very well that the supernatural-endowment power is not operative. It has been blocked by some or all of a whole series of minus factors: alcohol, drugs, fear, and anxiety, and guilt, disease, negated to the point where the individual is no longer able to cope with even the most elementary challenges of existence. Or there may be a person of obvious ability who is not living at a level of creativity that his aptitudes indicate he should attain.

I do not believe there is any exact blueprint or precise formula for the release of the supernatural-endowment power. If there were, we would all have it to a far greater extent than we do. But the more we learn to believe in it, trust it, and open ourselves to it, the more we find that goals are achieved, ambitions are realized, high energy levels are maintained, fears and tensions subside, and spiritual growth becomes not just possible but almost inevitable. In this page I shall indicate some of the key areas of living, and show how the supernatural-endowment power has helped people in times of difficulty or distress, and offer suggestions that will help the reader find it and use it. The purpose of this Guidance and Counseling department is to make possible a better understanding of you, this inner potential and make it begin to operate in people.

Let’s begin where the supernatural-endowment power impinges on an intangible and remarkable aspect of human existence: the area of dreams.

Do you sometimes feel that you are living below your potential?

Are you ever troubled by the thought that greater energies, more creative ideas, and problem solving capacities are locked away inside you?

If so, you are not alone. We all have such feelings from time to time.

I think such feelings come from awareness that the life force in each of us is a fraction of the great universal Life Force that we call God. Since we are made in His image, as the Bible says we are, then we should have access to all the power we need to live successfully and triumphantly. The supernatural-endowment power should operate in us, not just now then, but all the time.

Why don’t we have it every minute, every hour? Because we let certain things block it. Ignorance can block it. Fear can block it. Hatred, envy, anger, anxiety, negative thoughts, selfish actions …….. all these things can keep the supernatural-endowment power from functioning. Some of it may get through, enough perhaps to keep us going, barely. But it will be only a trickle instead of the powerful force it is supposed to be.

Fortunately, just as there are attitudes and actions that narrow the flow of power, there are some that widen the channel and let more of the power through. The first step to be taken in order to start the supernatural-endowment power operating is to learn to be a creative dreamer.

Let’s assume you have begun to liberate the supernatural-endowment power in your nature by the process of creative dreaming.

Now what must you do?

Since the supernatural-endowment power is to function with ever-increasing power, you must work on those dreams.

You need to shape them, focus them, and hammer them down to their essence.

You have to build a viaduct over which they can pass from the world of dreams to the world of reality. In other words, you have to learn to set goals.

“No wind favors him who has no destined port.” __ Michael de Montaigne.

From the above expression Michael de Montaigne meant that a person without clear-cut goals in life is forever doomed to sail in circle, always frustrated, always rudderless, never getting anywhere.

And I think his words were real then and perhaps they are even of more real today, because the world which we lives in today has become a more complex and competitive place. In this fast moving, super specialized century, unless you are able clearly and calmly and deliberately to set goals for yourself, you are becalmed in indecision and inertia.

When people set goals for themselves that are clear and distinct; when they hold tenaciously to those goals through times of disappointment, frustration, or even apparent failure; when they image themselves progressing steadily toward those goals and finally achieving them, then a force emerges from deep within them so powerful that it is virtually irresistible. That is the supernatural-endowment power.

Once the supernatural-endowment power makes its appearance and really takes hold, the surge of energy and confidence becomes so strong that it overcomes all obstacles.

We have written about the importance of creative dreaming. We have stressed the necessity of setting goals.

Now, is there a logical third step in this process of liberating and activating the supernatural-endowment power in human beings?

Yes, there is. And this consists of just two magic words.

“To be or not to be; that is the question.” Of course it’s the question! Is the supernatural-endowment power to be a force in your life, or is it not? Are you going to set goals and reach them, or are you not? Is success something you will achieve, or isn’t it? Is happiness going to come to you, or will it ever remain just beyond your grasps? Are these things to be, or are they not; that is indeed the question.

And now we get down to two magic words tell us how to accomplish just about anything we want to accomplish, two powerful words that can change any situation, two dynamic words that all too few people use. And what are these two amazing words?

“Do it!”

Have you got an idea? Do it!

Do you have a dream? Do it!

Do you have an ambition? Do it!

Have you some great impulse, some burning desire? Do it!

Are you defeated by something? Are you afraid of something? Are you hesitant to try something? Many people spend their lives being afraid to do what they really want to do. But if they stand tall and say, “I will do this thing!” then the supernatural-endowment power is liberated and power begins to surge into them.

That power begins to flow at the moment one takes the first step or even when the first positive thought comes. No matter how intense your dreaming, no matter how clearly defined your goals, nothing is going to happen until you make it happen by taking an active step toward the fulfillment of those dreams, a decisive step toward the realization of those goals.

Emerson said, “Do the thing you fear, and the death of fear is certain.”

So what are you afraid of? What is holding you back? What is it that stands in your way?

Do it! I have seen this simple rule work so many times. When I can persuade someone to do it, they become victorious instead of defeated.

Usually it is fear of failure that is blocking the flow of power from the supernatural-endowment power. That fear leads to inertia, sometimes to a real paralysis of personality. And the longer the inertia persists, the harder it is to break through it.

Sometimes it can be literally a matter of life or death. Do you want power in you?

Do you want peace in mind and heart? Do you want to reach for success across the quicksand of timidity and doubt? Then take these two magic words, say them to yourself again and again and again. Ask God to help you – and DO IT. And not tomorrow or next week or next month or next year.

Now. Do it now!

So far I have suggested methods to activate the supernatural-endowment power……

Dream creative dreams.

Set high and worthwhile goals.

Take the first decisive step toward your goal. And then what?

Then take another step, and another, and another, until the goal is reached, the ambition realized, the mission accomplished.

No matter how long it takes, persist. No matter how discouraged you may get, persevere. No matter how much you want to quit, hang in there.

President Calvin Coolidge, known widely as “Silent Cal,” said, “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.” Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of human race.

Winston Churchill said something of similar nature, but it was expressed in different words. Where any worthwhile endeavor was concerned, he said: “Never give up. Never, never, never … give up!”

Why is persistence, why is perseverance of such enormous importance? Because so little of consequence is achieved without it. And because lack of it leads so often to failure.

Sometimes we see people persevering in the face of what seem to be insuperable odds. When that happens, I can’t help but think that through their supernatural-endowment power information has been conveyed to them that even they are unaware of.

Here’s how my dictionary defines these two important words:

Persist: To continue steadily and firmly in some state, purpose, or course of action, especially in spite of opposition, remonstration, etc.

Persevere: To persist in any undertaking, maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty or obstacles, continue steadfastly.

Take a good notice of that last phrase: continue steadfastly.

Does this unseen quality, the supernatural-endowment power, activate and strengthen the capacity for persistence in a person, or does a display of perseverance in an individual call it forth? I think it probably works both ways. If you make a determined effort on your own, the supernatural-endowment power will come to your aid. On the other hand, there seem to be times when the supernatural-endowment power is manifested in a most unlikely way. It causes that person to choose an almost unattainable goal, and persist against almost insuperable odds until a hopeless hope becomes an actual reality.

Do not minimize the power of persistence. Just hang in there always. And never, never give up. Realization and achievement come to those who persist.

“The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21), Jesus told His disciples. He also said, “If ye have faith ….. nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Mathew 17:20). The supernatural-endowment power is a reflection of eternal truth.

Thoughts are things! TRULY, “thoughts are things,” and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation into riches, or other material objects.

Nothing you encounter that’s not common to another persons previous experience. A lot of men have had business setbacks that came unexpectedly, and were not their fault, but they suffered because of them. All of us have experienced disappointments of one kind or another; no person can live long without some kind of suffering. But God never promised a life with no trials, nor did He promise skies that would always be sunny.

Faith in God is not an insurance policy against physical pain; neither does it insure us against mental pain that results from such things as fear, anxiety, loneliness; neither does our faith protect us in every case from the remorse and agony over some sin of the past, though it may be repented of and now forgiven; and neither does faith protect us from the hurts and bruises that sometimes result from the environment in which we live.

As someone said:

God hath not promised: Sun without rain __ Joy without sorrow __ Peace without pain.

But God does promise His companionship, strength, and love. “Lo, I am with you always” (Mathew 28:20), said Jesus, not only to His first disciples but to each one of us.

All through the Bible we are promised dividends from troubles. Trials and tribulations are gold mines from which may be taken some of life’s riches prizes. So, to begin with, instead of praying, “Lord when am I going to get out of this?” it is better to pray, “Lord, what am I going to get out of this?”

The Bible tells us: “We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts” (Romans 5:3-5). Often it is that tribulations do lead to the flooding of our souls with bright sunshine of God’s love.

Saint Paul wonderfully wrote, “I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). That is his way of saying that no matter what may come, you can still hold on to God and you need never step outside the circle of His love.

George Matheson beautifully wrote:

There is an Eye that never sleeps, Beneath the wind of night. There is an Ear that never shuts, When sink the beams of light. There is an Arm that never tires, When human strength gives way. There is a Love that never fails, When earthly loves decay.

In a time of illness – a time of helplessness and near despair – we can lean back easier on that “arm that never tires” and we find it sufficient. During a war, someone noted a sign in front of a church in London that said, “If your knees are shaking, kneel on them.”

One other thought – as we kneel (i.e. prayer) we find the strength to hold on. Emerson said that a man is a hero not because he is braver than anyone else but because he is braver for ten minutes longer. Put your hand in His hand, and God will give you the help to keep you brave as long as necessary. Know more about the power and the effect of prayer on lives and destinies __ Power House

Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. The godly give good advice to their friends. (Proverbs 12:25-26a)

The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich and he adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22)

Fear of the LORD lengthens one's life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. Hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked are all in vain. The LORD protects the upright but destroys the wicked. The godly will never be disturbed, but the wicked will be removed from the land. (Proverbs 10:27-30)

Dear clients; as the days change, the human experience advances and becomes the resourceful need of their fellow humans.

As of a matter of facts, you have nothing to worry about; life is a journey of turn on and turns over.

"My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart, for they will give you a long and satisfying life. Never let loyalty and kindness get away from you! Wear them like a necklace; write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people; and you will gain a good reputation. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:1-6)

KEY WORDS on verse 5&6

When the Bible says we aren't to trust ourselves or our own understanding, it doesn't mean that we shouldn't use our mind to think things through. God has given us the ability to reason, and he expects us to use that ability. The problem comes when we get an inflated view of ourselves because of our ability to solve problems. Sometimes, in fact, we may try plans A through Z until finally, in desperation, we ask God for help. Trusting God completely means that we go to him first, asking for his insight and guidance. Then he will want us to use our brain and devise our plans, but he will be in control. I wish you all best and profitable outcome of life.

Valentine is an Anniversary, But Loving One Another is Our Obligation!

· Love is the expression of believe in God.

· Love is accepting the real nature of God.

· God is love; he’s the origin and the source of love.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. __ 1John 4:7-21.

Since the starting day of this month, noises and invitations has extremely went round the globe where many are busy demanding for who to be their “VAL”, a sex partner of the 14^th of February. And therefore I can’t stop to imagine the ungodly characters, attitudes and immoral practices which many teenagers, youths and adults will exhibit and display on this long awaited date. No wonder God exclaimed that “My people are perishing because they lack the knowledge of his word.”

Remember that love is the nature of God, and whoever loves has God in him, and him in God, and he that loves not has no God in him; because God is love.

Brethren watch your action of today 14^th February against 14^th November.

The Concept of Love

The concept of love is not real someone quoted: “Love” is a term that defines the altered understanding of relations. Humans, animals, most all living thing, develop a connective response toward one another. A bond starts to form amongst one another. But “love” is a concept that only man would be foolish enough to develop. We view “love” as a dedicated, undeniable, unbroken attachment between people. But, in my opinion, I believe it to be nothing more than an insipid yet effective method of fictitious happiness. We devote ourselves to the idea of “love” to give hope to the thought that we can be fully satisfied by this happiness we have found within this other person. It gives a sense of purpose and a sense of socially justified motivation. “Love” can motivate someone to get through the day. “Love” can keep one fixated or distracted on this overly pursued happiness. All “love” is a glorified, overly credited joy that we all wish to exaggerate to help us in our own personal ways, whether we see it this way or not. Realistically, relationships and bonds can form. But a society that pressures everyone to find an abundant amount of happiness solely within another person can ultimately end in either disastrous heartbreak or a questionable bond that was most likely rushed. If people didn’t see “love” in such an idealistic perspective, there wouldn’t be as much emotional anguish when someone that you seemingly shared a bond with has severed that bond, whether intentionally or not. And this comes from a young teenager of 18 years that’s never been in relationships from the outside. And this is the conclusion I’ve watched bonds slowly diminish to nothing after months of just barely standing each other. The reason those relationships hang on until they finally come to realization seems to be simply because they thought it was “love”. But love is an illusive concept created to phycologically benefit humans.

The concept of love is real, because it is the concept of a human being caring about another. Love is something that humans are capable of feeling, even though humans cannot ever love perfectly, because they are not perfect. Love is putting a person’s needs and wishes ahead of your own. Human can do that.

In another way round, love is total acceptance of everything…… total peace with everything. People who have been in love (if you think you are, you are not) know that they are unable to find even a smallest flaw in the target. I say target because being in love is not just being in love with a person ……..the target might be anything, from a person to an experience, to a car, to a sex, etc. Being in love is total acceptance. Love is total acceptance. (Bible and other holy scrips ask us to love each other). The opposite of love is not hate, but not accepting (it leads to desire and to other “sins”.) I do truly believe that the concept of love is real. I think that all people are capable of feeling love, and that the feeling of love is something that can last forever. Many couples have been married for very a very long time, and I think that proves that love is real.

The concept of love is absolutely real. Everyone in this world experiences their feelings slightly differently, but all concepts of emotions are very real. Loving someone is a wonderful feeling and it would hard to say any emotion that’s strong and powerful is not a real concept. All our emotions are very much real. The concept of love is real. When a person falls in love, they feel happy. When that love is not returned or is rejected, it causes the person to go into depression. I know because I’ve been heartbroken before and the feeling is horrible, it makes you wonder what to do with your life. If love wasn’t real then it wouldn’t be able to produce the sensation of happiness or the horrible feeling of sadness. It is true that the concept of love is real. For example, the way I feel about my wife is not like any way I feel about anyone else. Also, the fact that you can care about someone more than you care about yourself definitely defies human nature and therefore should be explained by love.

“Love is just a primitive hormone for us in” order to reproduce to avoid extinction. We just do this to avoid dying alone and insanity. Eventually the sun will implode on itself and the earth and many other planets will all explode. Assuming this happens so will the human race and so, love is a human concept that people made to produce joy, it is not scientifically real nor is any other version of love.

Introduction

Impossibility is a force working against the manifestation of the glory and the power of God in your life; is a force holding back the hands of blessing, favor, breakthrough and that of healing from reaching you.

It was for this purpose that Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against Spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.” (KJV)

GOD’S WORD® Translation: “This is not a wrestling match against a human opponent. We are wrestling with rulers, authorities, the powers who govern this world of darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in the heavenly world.”

There was a widow woman who shouldered the responsibility of three children; while still in the agony of loneliness two of her children gained admissions into two different universities in the same year, and the third child was hoping to graduate from secondary college that same year, and which tendered the demand of thirty thousand naira (30,000) for his WAEC/NECO SSCE. The lonely widow who was a pure water seller in one of the motors garages within Ilorin, Kwara state metropolis. Inside of her was a feeling of joy, that all her three children were still alive to make her proud despite the fact that her husband is no more, and the other feeling was the agony of her state of poverty, that two of her children gained admissions into universities and the younger one is about graduating out of the secondary college, and there was no money to give as their registration fees. With the heavy drops of tears from her face, she lamented “I am unfortunate!” the blessing and favor that ought to locate a rich and wealthy family was the one located the unfortunate poorest widow woman in the world. She said “I was born and being brought up in one of the godly family in the world, and was unluckily married to a wealthy and influential man who has no God fearing mother, brothers, sisters, and uncles, who denied her the joy and blessings of her hard and painful labors after the dead of her beloved husband; except the father who rescued her life and that of her three kids. In a nutshell, on one quiet night she saw the appearance of a man in white garment at the entrance angle of her small rented room stretching hand toward the rows of pure water bags she arranged at the left corner of her room, and clearly heard a voice that says “with these bags of water I shall make you great and rich; and announce to your three children that you are serving a living God, and before the day break of next tomorrow you shall give to each of them more than they have demanded.” And by the mentioned of the last statement the man disappeared. Who could this man be? Was it the appearance of Jesus or the ghost of my dead husband? These are the questions she was asking herself. Nevertheless she became committed to the voice heard, after her regular morning devotion with the children, she announced exactly what the man has told her to announce to them. Then loaded all the bags of pure water in her room into a taxi car and set-off to shop. · Fear is the red sea of fulfilling destiny and purpose

· Fear doubts the possibility of a matter

· To fear is to war against your self-worth

· Fear is a satanic logo

Fear is a common knowledge of experience among all men of blood and flesh. This proof the sense that only those that have received the power of the Holy Spirit has overcomes fear, this is because they are no longer under the control of flesh (they have exited the ordinary man’s nature. i.e. they are no more ordinary men of blood and flesh but now fully under the control of Holy Spirit).

Some people usually communize fear as a short term or temporal sense of scare that ought to express itself within all humans.

“Ignorance is a worse disease which secretly eats up the complete sense of a man.” One thing you don’t know about fear is the fact that, fear has no any other mission than to enslave, and captivate its victim; it turns you against yourself, and makes you a betrayal of your destiny and purpose. God has created you with all necessary abilities required for the fulfillment of destiny and purpose, and as well as the courage you need to confront all forms of challenges in the realm of realities. Even before you were formed in the womb of your mother the almighty has known all the challenges that you ought to face and which in return shall yield the expected success, accomplishment, and destiny and purpose fulfillment. Just as he quotes to Jeremiah, and reminded him of the sufficient capability in spite of what Jeremiah thought to be his weak point (age), age, academy qualifications, social status, body stature or body size has no concern in the criteria of God for chosen or to bless and favor whomever he felt pleased with.

Jer 1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Jer 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth.

Jer 1:7 But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.

Jer 1:8 Be not afraid of them [their faces], for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.

The above text teaches the fact that God has all the details of Jeremiah right from the night of his conception in the womb, and since that very night God has divinely qualified him of been capable enough to be his prophet and before the birth of Jeremiah, God has made him to be different from all his brothers and other brethren (separated and set apart) for the final approval of his destiny and purpose.

Hope you have now discovered the possible effects of fears on someone’s destiny and purpose; there was a reflection of fear in Jeremiah’s experience of a call, but God quickly rebuked that spirit in him, and reminded him of his ableness quality: Jer 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth.

Jer 1:7 But the Lord said to me, Say not, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.

Jer 1:8 Be not afraid of them [their faces], for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.

Let me now flash back on the earlier definitions and the terminologies of fears, as earlier stated, “Fear is inability to face or challenges the reality, Fear is the red sea of fulfilling destiny and purpose, Fear doubts the possibility of a matter e.t.c. One effect of fear on lives is to create the sense of disregarding the original thoughts and the plans of God for your life. But don’t forget that to each destiny is the attachment of purpose, for example, Jeremiah had a destiny of Prophetship (Jeremiah 1:5); Moses had a destiny of a leadership “Now go, for I am sending you t Pharaoh. You will LEAD my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10). As we have just studied the details of Jeremiah and Moses’ destiny, let us likewise study the purpose attached to each of their destiny.

Jeremiah, Destiny: “Prophetship”, Purpose (assignment): “God expects Jeremiah to build others up in the knowledge of His words and to plant them, in that way they could likewise yield many fruits (souls) into the kingdom of God.” Then the LORD touched my mouth and said see, I have put my words in your mouth! Today I appoint you to stand up against some nations and kingdoms. You are to uproot some and tear them down, to destroy and overthrow them. “You are to build others up and plant them.” (Jeremiah 1:9-10 NLT).

Moses, Destiny: “Leadership”, Purpose: (assignment) “God expect Moses to bring the Israelites out of the bondage and the yoke of slavery and captivity in the land of Egypt under the control of Pharaoh.” “You will lead my people, Israelites, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10b NLT).

From the texts above, could you point out the areas where Jeremiah and Moses expressed the fear of not be harm by the enemies? They were once influenced by the spirit of impossibility just as many of us are still practicing today. Fear is a grantor of an excuse, thus, Jeremiah: “O sovereign LORD,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young” (Jeremiah 1:6). Age was his excuse (i.e. how could a child of 10years condemned the intelligent elders of been wrong or of missing the right direction). The same thing is happening today, God has so much busy in rising the young youths to build, redirect, and rebuke the attitudes and behavior of young, youth, and elderly fathers and mothers, just as he sent Jeremiah to face his people.

But instead to leave that purpose unfulfilled, Jeremiah encountered divine empowerment: the Lord said to Jeremiah, “Don’t say that,” the LORD replied, “For you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid (fear not) of the people, for I will be with you and take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” (Jeremiah 1:7-8). The Lord has never made a plan that has no resources of support.

Moses replied to the Lord, “But who am I to appear before Pharaoh?” Moses asked God. “How can you expect me to lead the Israelites out of Egypt? (Exodus 3:11). The experience as that of Jeremiah. Imagine a hunter confronting a lion with an ordinary catapult at hand. Even without much thought one could easily foretell a winner and a victim. But instead of Moses to neglect his people (through the influence of fear) he encountered divine empowerment: Then God told him “I will be with you. And this will serve as proof that I have sent you: When you have brought the Israelites out of Egypt, you will return here to worship God at this very mountain.” (Exodus 3:12).

So you don’t need to welcome the spirit of fear because when you do you won’t receive a different counsel from God, but the same counsel he inculcate in Jeremiah, Moses, and other people of the similar circumstance. “Don’t be afraid (panic, fear, lose focus), for I will be with you.” ___ Jeremiah 1:7-8, Exodus 3:12.

No wonder Paul testified of resisting the spirit of fear in 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.” It is for this purpose that Jesus promised to send the great comforter (the Holy Spirit) and left us with the below words of consolation even before the coming of the Holy Spirit: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” __ John 16:33.

THE DAMAGES THAT FEAR DOES ON LIVES, DESTINY AND PURPOSE

“For the thing which I greatly fear comes upon me, and that of which I am afraid befalls me.” __ Job 3:25.

The above Bible verse has disclosed that fact that even before Satan the Accuser was given the right to test Job’s faith and trust in God, Job has already nurtured the spirit of fear within him (i.e. fear of lost, disaster, and mischievous) and whatsoever we grow in our minds usually comes true.

Fear adds nothing of good value, but it damages the present and future.

· Fear could distract your attention from facing and doing the reality:-

“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou; bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.” __ Mathew 14:28-32.

Nothing else carried away the mind of Peter from the command statement of Jesus to walk on water as he did, but the four lettered word fear. Jesus responds to Peter’s request: “And he said, come.” This connotes the invitation to facing and doing the reality. Facing and doing the reality is an allegiance risk of a fulfilled life, destiny and purpose, but failure to resist fear will make all things seems to be impossible.

· Fear often threatened life with unbearable struggles:-

Reflecting back on the definitions and terminologies of fear: “Fear is a sense of disregarding the original thoughts and plans.” The original plans of God for the Jonah’s assignment was to go to the great city of Nineveh (bloody city), and to announce his judgment against them because of their wickedness. Instead of Jonah to go the exact city of his assignment, he allowed the fear of not to lose his life in the bloody city of Nineveh, so that fear made Jonah to disregard the original place of his assignment and as well as the original intention of God’s reward for a successful delivery of that assignment, but Jonah went toward the opposite direction as means of escaping the anger of God. I can compare the city of Nineveh (bloody city) to some states in Nigeria (for example, Borno state) where sect called Boko haram are shedding over thousands litres of blood daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Which pastor, evangelist, bishop or disciple will be courageous enough to welcome the invitation of God to go to Sambissa forest the hiding place of Boko haram to declare the judgment of God against them for the killings and shedding of the innocent’s blood just as the invitation of God to Jonah to the bloody city of Nineveh? Many great men of God are there openly announcing themselves to be called by God into healing, salvation, deliverance, prophetic, empowerment etc ministries, and they are been televised round the world to be performing miracles, signs and wonders, but my question is, who among them could welcome the invitation of God to Borno state to be precise Sambissa forest in Nigeria for miracles, signs and wonders in their healing, salvation, deliverance, prophetic and empowerment ministries, because that state needs the divine revival of the Lord.

When the call came to Jesus: “who shall go for us?” And Jesus said here I am Father send me.

Why allowing fear to over-rude our lives, destiny and purpose?

“Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.” __ Jonah 1:1-3. You could safely escape the physical disaster, but nobody escape the spiritual disaster without the acceptations of the Lord’s original thoughts and plans.

· Fear can easily terminate someone’s dreams of a brighter future/ tomorrow.

The consequences of our sins may generate great fears in us, the pleasure of sins lasts a for moment, but the consequence of sins last till eternity; only those that the mercy speaks for escape the eternal destruction.

For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. __ Romans 2:11-13.

We were saved by first, love, second, grace; love is our general heritage and it was poured on every one of us without measure (for God so loved the world ……… John 3:16); not like the grace, each individuals has a different measures of the grace, on this sense God willingly chose to bless and favor all his creatures differently, in a different qualities, quantities, forms of expression, on the levels of merit and unmerited. You could be age mate with a friend, but not in the term of grace.

Adam and Eve sinned against God through their act of disobedience to his given instruction while been placed in the Garden of Eden. “And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” __ Genesis 3:2-3. Behind the fear of Adam and Eve was a result of their disobedience. First, “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”. __ Genesis 2:25. The above text comes before dipping hand into sin. That era was an era of uncivilized Adam and Eve, because as of that time they both don’t know what it means to be naked. Second, “And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” ___ Genesis 3:9-10. That was their era of civilization in the garden. Civilization is devilish and often contradicts with the original plan of God. What was the Lord’s respond to Adam? “And he said, who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” ___ Genesis 3:11.

· Fear makes you a best friend of the world:-

Remember the counsel of the Scripture which says “though you are in the world, but you are not of the world.” When we have set our minds on the pleasures of this world it will become difficult for us to neither listen to real voice of God nor become committed to doing the will of God. As faithful believers of the gospel of Jesus Christ we have greater advantages over the world itself, we can easily command the world to yield blessing, prosperity, breakthrough, excellent endeavors for our benefits. Being a friend to the world doesn’t makes you live above the world; rather you keep operating under the law of uncertainty. Personal salvation ought to be the first step to the encounter of blessing and other pleasurable materials of this world and of the eternal reward. Obedience to the voice of God and the realization of the perfect will of God is very important in our daily dealings, which ought not to be optional. Abraham was originally a blessed man in disguise even before the Lord called him out of his father’s compound (land) and when the Lord desired to manifest and materialize the blessing of Abraham into the physical fact of realities, he called him out of his own land to the land where he had for long kept, hid and preserved the blessing and breakthrough of Abraham’s on. But ‘faith and obedience’ were the two keys Abraham to unlock the door of his divine treasures which the world willingly yielded at a simple order or command from above.

There’s always a disaster ahead of those who had prioritized their primary goals on acquiring the riches of this world. You don’t have to look back as the Lot’s wife did, make up your mind to forsake the past; face the present which is the reality of the future. “But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” ____ Genesis 19:26. This explained the experience of Lot and his family while moving out of the Sodom and Gomorrah. Remember that Lot was a relative of Abraham, whom by right had received portions of blessings from Abraham. Dear readers I declare this by the power of the Holy Spirit in me that those who laugh at you while responding to the call of God upon your life, destiny and purpose shall benefit from the reward of your obedience to his call in Jesus name.

Lot and his family were moving out of the Sodom and Gomorrah before the effective action of God to destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. So lot enjoyed the grace of God on him which has led to his calling out (escaping) from the land and city of Sodom and Gomorrah.

· Fear can stops you from saying the truth:-

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” __ John 8:32.

There’s different between knowing the truth and saying the truth. Knowing the truth is to identity or recognizes the fact or reality, while saying the truth is the bold confession or the expression of the identified fact or reality.

· Fear can hinder you of divine blessings.

WAYS TO CONQUERED FEAR

Ø The number one possible way of conquering fear is through your daily meditation on the word of life that comes from God (Bible).

Ø Always learn to purify your mind and surroundings with the positive words of hope, courage, faith, and confident and all these have to be through daily positive confession, declaration and affirmation. “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” __ 2 Timothy 1:7.

Holy Spirit you are my best teacher, so there is no pressure on me to teach, I speak, but you teach, so it is now your time of manifestation!

Whenever our time does not correspond with God’s time, then we should host patience. In God’s dealings with you; two things you should pray for are: Never to be ahead of his time; and never to be behind his time.

Patience is not laziness, as some think.

It implies not getting the right thing in a wrong way or in the wrong time.

By phrase; patience is waiting for my hot meal to gets cool to avoid mouth disaster.

Go with me into the college of thought and think: if your destiny can be tied down by human factors. If it could then many great men would have not been heard about.

Battles are won by listening to godly advice and making a lot of plans. (Proverbs 24:6)

Chapter One

DREAM A DREAM.

One night Joseph had a dream. (Genesis 37:5a)

When I use the word “dream” the reference is not those shadowing images that flicker through our minds when we are asleep. No; the dreams I’m saying about are the indistinct hopes, the far-off vision, the faint stirrings of the imagination that come when we are in the earliest stages of planning something worthwhile. Every one of us has a dream that we hope to see become a reality either with positive or negative impact. To be successful you must first have a dream. And dreams know not boundaries of age, or race, or nationality. If you dream something long enough and hard enough, a door seems to open and through that door come mighty forces called “Enthusiasm power” that will guide and support you in your efforts to make the dream come true.

If your heart is conducive for the dream seed, and you nurtured it as expected, it will grow in to reality, but if not nurture it will die without being fulfilled.

I assured you that! “Great people are ordinary people with an extra ordinary amount of determination,” no matter the dream in your heart today; hold on, hang on it, because whatever dream God has put in your heart, do become a reality. Note! Delay is never denial so hold on. And again, do not be intimidated by the opposition and the possibility of failure, but keep your eyes on the rewards of fulfilling your dreams. Because if there is no trials there won’t be a testimony “Crown.” It’s a matter of time before a seed becomes a tree; before a child becomes a man. Before a rookie become a guru. It’s all matter of time consistence builds a continuous practice through time. Persistence nourishes your consistent efforts against time. Patience carries you safely to desired end in time. A seed might appear dead and forever buried. A dream might seem ridiculous and absurd. A vision might look vague and wearied

But a forest does start as a seed. A great harvest is always initiated by a dream. A mighty accomplishment was once a time vision, wrapped up in an ordinary man’s womb – the mind. All these successfully withstood the test of time. Everything is wrapped up within time; the past, present, and future.

A moment, a period, forever, and eternity is all a matter of time.

Keep the dream on, keep the struggle hot, do not give up the fight for success; because in no time that dream will come real and you will be celebrated in its time.

“A person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing and is nothing. Only a person who risks is free.”

Chapter Two

EXTRACTION OF DREAM (DREAMING PROCESS)

We humans make plans, but the LORD has the final word; we may think we know what is right, but the LORD is the judge of our motives.

We make our own plans, but the LORD decides where we will go. (Proverbs 16:1, 2, 9.)

We may make a lot of plans, but the LORD will do what he has decided. (Proverbs 19: 21).

“Human mind is a fountain of mix up thoughts and imagination of good and evil.”

Just like a seed that goes through the process of growth to become a tree and bear fruits, and a woman that waits nine months to hold her baby in her arms, so also your dream can not happen or come to pass instantly but has to go through a process. As an author of this publication; there’s one happening that has never stops amazing me on the current subject of discussion a “dream”. Though there are several dreamers among us, but many of them lack knowledge to explain how it works.

I mean some people do not for real identify their personal life’s dream (they are gamblers).

By neglecting their dreams and to either steal, or borrow another person’s dream. Such attitude could either originate from a contaminated mind envying the achievement of other persons, it often happened to envious and greedy people.

SCHOLARS AS BEST SUITED EXAMPLE: What could be the probability of all one thousand students in twenty different schools and colleges of a nation become either medical doctors, lawyers, professors, accountants or writers as common ambition of every opportune students in colleges?

Scholars are good at gambling because they always wish and desire to be in a field of majority, and with the above sense of mentality we have launched a competitive ground for ourselves and the grandchildren to come. It is an acceptable fact that only few were called to be, but today many have been by the influence of desire and ambition, so this has disclosed a very clear truth why we lack the genuine and qualified specialists in different fields of career and profession.

The questions you should ask yourself are that I developed an ambition or desired to be is it a divine call for me to be? What effect or contribution will that make on my destiny?

Is that the purpose of God for me? Or

I gambling wish to be?

I was once a victim of wrong ambition and dream; during my secondary school days, my prioritized ambition and desire was to become a medical doctor, and the whole thoughts behind this ambition was the believe that medical doctors tend to be the richest people in the world, so as far as I dreamt to be rich in life therefore I ought to be a medical specialist. This was a wrong and destructive ambition. Even as I am not in a medical field, I am fulfilled, I am today a teacher of God’s word, destiny empower, founder of Destiny Empowerment Global Ministries, a writer and the copyright owner of this publication.

NOTE: Whenever you have a dream thoroughly examine it first, then work toward it, but if such dream resulted from selfishness, envious, greediness attitudes, and personal benefit instead of general benefit; such a dream is vague and destructive.

I have a jump out secondary school mate with no intention to continue his education, but day after day he always come to me to announce “Sanjo (my dialect name) I wants to join the police force work.”

People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives.

Whenever he finished making his ambition known to me, the next action was to ask “Monday (his name) what impression gear up your interest to join police force work?”

His regular replies was “because I won chop for road,” the above reply expressed unhidden truth that he want to be collecting bribes as all people known it to be the common way of earning by the police men.

But do not forget the first chapter of this book: Dream ‘a’ dream, and the next stage after a dreaming process is the extraction of a dream. Why I called that a dream extraction process? It is because the thought of all men are often indefinite, human thoughts are often accompanied with some source or elements of impurities.

The fastest and easiest means of reaching the top ‘Becoming great’ is complying with the facts above.

Take a little study of the word “EXTRACTION” as you do that you will get to realize that the word extraction as used in this book means getting, deriving, determining, finding, and taking out the best out of the mixed up thoughts or complicated matters, as the case may be during and after your dreaming process.. Imagine if the refinery industries could be more committed at practicing ‘extraction’ Akin to ‘refining’ which was their major goal and objective in serving the nations (for the reason of making some useful substances available for our own personal and general use; and such products are petrol, gas, kerosene, coal, steel etc.) Then think of how much more of its application to your daily dreaming process. When gold is melted, impurities float to the top and can be skimmed off. Steel is tempered or strengthen by heating it in fire. In the same way is the extraction of dream in our dreaming process refine and strengthen our faith, believe and the possibility of fulfilling those dreams. It is real that you have gotten temporal comfort base, but that shouldn’t be your best place, don’t quit trying because you are never a loser until you quit trying.

Your dream neither weak nor sick, but you the dreamer do, so the solution are those ideas you have just acquired from this chapter.

FAITH A SEED OF TRANSITION INTO GLORY. SOW ONE TODAY!

“The present and future withstands the test of the confession of our faith.”

Rom 5:1 THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Rom 5:2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.

Rom 5:3 Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.

Rom 5:4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.

Rom 5:5 Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

I discovered faith as the major pillar where our hopes, trust, confidence, and consistency can lean on. What can we say to be the fate of sojourner in the locality where only the indigenous citizens are legalized to have access to the resources such as food, water and shelter; this could be his greatest risk because as humans we most especially needs food and water to sustains our lifespan. Therefore the courage to survive in such threat of life is called the test of faith.

Consider the instruction of God to Abram, the word said, God commanded Abram to depart, set-off, leave, be out of your land of comfort, your indigenous land, and your land of nationality, your land of sufficiency, your land of dependency to the unknown, strange, and ever foreseen land of independent, the land of non-legalized as a citizen. I sensed the called out of Abram from his own father’s land as means of getting God’s approval of a new nature of existence and which was accompanied with blessing, favor, and eternal covenant, but despite of all the benefits I can’t stop to reason on the changed of Abram‘s national or regional identity, from a legalized land of citizen and turned to be a resident in a strange, you may likewise view it as getting out of a palace to a public house, a landlord turning to be a tenant; whatsoever meaning we may tend to derive for that event will yield nothing good than hearken to the lessons and wisdom in the event. Gen 12:1 NOW [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father's house, to the land that I will show you.

Your experience is quite the same to that of Abram which involved ‘get out of your own father’s land’ but to you God may be referring to (let’s go of sinful nature, let’s go of fear, laziness, procrastination, complain and excuses, hatred etc) or it may take a form of resource scarcity, limited vacancies of opportunity, rejection etc. Any one of these could appear as a means of testing your real confessed faith. So you need to be sensitive because it won’t come as a friend, hence you need the re-adjustment of self. Gen 12:10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down into Egypt to live temporarily, for the famine in the land was oppressive (intense and grievous).

Abram was sensitive enough to re-adjusted himself to the new circumstance, he was once in the land where he often get more than enough, but the circumstance in the land of Canaan was not friendly, so Abram has no second choice than to set-off to Egypt where he sojourned to obtain what he needs to sustains his family and relatives.

Php 4:12 I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.

Php 4:13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

The verse 13 comes at the end of a section where Paul explains that he can be content in every situation. What was Paul’s secret to contentment? He knew that God was with him, whether he was in need or had plenty, was hungry or well-fed, was feeling bad or feeling great. Paul knew that, regardless of circumstances, God would give him the strength to make it through. When are you tempted to be discontent? When things are going well and you have a lot, do you want more? When you are struggling, do you fret and doubt? In both extremes, and everything in between, keep your focus Christ. Remember the source of your strength, and look for his guidance.

1Th 5:16 Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always);

1Th 5:17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];

1Th 5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

You might wonder how someone can rejoice or be joyful all the time, especially during painful or difficult experiences. But unlike happiness, which is based on circumstances, joy is a positive and confident outlook on life, despite our circumstances. Knowing that God is in control and that his love surrounds us gives security and confidence. No matter what happens, we should delight in God and praise him for his goodness.

1Pe 1:7 So that [the genuineness] of your faith may be tested, [your faith] which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire. [This proving of your faith is intended] to redound to [your] praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) is revealed.

1Pe 1:8 Without having seen Him, you love Him; though you do not [even] now see Him, you believe in Him and exult and thrill with inexpressible and glorious (triumphant, heavenly) joy.

1Pe 1:9 [At the same time] you receive the result (outcome, consummation) of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

1Pe 1:10 The prophets, who prophesied of the grace (divine blessing) which was intended for you, searched and inquired earnestly about this salvation.

1Pe 1:11 They sought [to find out] to whom or when this was to come which the Spirit of Christ working within them was indicating when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that should follow [them].

1Pe 1:12 It was then disclosed to them that the services they were rendering were not meant for themselves and their period of time, but for you. [It is these very] things which have now already been made known plainly to you by those who preached the good news (the Gospel) to you by the [same] Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Into these things [the very] angels long to look!

1Pe 1:13 So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.

1Pe 1:14 [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel].

1Pe 1:15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.

1Pe 1:16 For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy. [Lev. 11:44, 45.]

1Pe 1:17 And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short].

1Pe 1:18 You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold,

1Pe 1:19 But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.

1Pe 1:20 It is true that He was chosen and foreordained (destined and foreknown for it) before the foundation of the world, but He was brought out to public view (made manifest) in these last days (at the end of the times) for the sake of you.

1Pe 1:21 Through Him you believe in (adhere to, rely on) God, Who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him honor and glory, so that your faith and hope are [centered and rest] in God.

1Pe 1:22 Since by your obedience to the Truth through the [Holy ] Spirit you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you] love one another fervently from a pure heart.

1Pe 1:23 You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.

1Pe 1:24 For all flesh (mankind) is like grass, and all its glory (honor) like [the] flower of grass. The grass withers and the flower drops off,

1Pe 1:25 But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you.

When you go through tough times, ask God to teach you his lessons and to show you how to use your experience to glorify him. Heb 11:1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Heb 11:2 For by [faith--trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.

Heb 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

Heb 11:4 [Prompted, actuated] by faith Abel brought God a better and more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, because of which it was testified of him that he was righteous [that he was upright and in right standing with God], and God bore witness by accepting and acknowledging his gifts. And though he died, yet [through the incident] he is still speaking. [Gen. 4:3-10.]

Heb 11:5 Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God. [Gen. 5:21-24.]

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

Heb 11:7 [Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By this [his faith which relied on God] he passed judgment and sentence on the world's unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness (that relation of being right into which God puts the person who has faith). Heb 11:8 [Urged on] by faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go.

Heb 11:9 [Prompted] by faith he dwelt as a temporary resident in the land which was designated in the promise [of God, though he was like a stranger] in a strange country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs with him of the same promise. [Gen. 12:1-8.]

Heb 11:10 For he was [waiting expectantly and confidently] looking forward to the city which has fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder is God.

Heb 11:11 Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word. [Gen. 17:19; 18:11-14; 21:2.]

Heb 11:12 So from one man, though he was physically as good as dead, there have sprung descendants whose number is as the stars of heaven and as countless as the innumerable sands on the seashore. [Gen. 15:5, 6; 22:17; 32:12.]

Heb 11:13 These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of [God's] promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance by faith, and all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth. [Gen. 23:4; Ps. 39:12.]

Heb 11:14 Now those people who talk as they did show plainly that they are in search of a fatherland (their own country).

Heb 11:15 If they had been thinking with [homesick] remembrance of that country from which they were emigrants, they would have found constant opportunity to return to it.

Heb 11:16 But the truth is that they were yearning for and aspiring to a better and more desirable country, that is, a heavenly [one]. For that reason God is not ashamed to be called their God [even to be surnamed their God--the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob], for He has prepared a city for them. [Exod. 3:6, 15; 4:5.]

Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test [while the testing of his faith was still in progress], had already brought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed [God's] promises was ready to sacrifice his only son, [Gen. 22:1-10.]

Heb 11:24 [Aroused] by faith Moses, when he had grown to maturity and become great, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, [Exod. 2:10, 15.]

Heb 11:25 Because he preferred to share the oppression [suffer the hardships] and bear the shame of the people of God rather than to have the fleeting enjoyment of a sinful life.

Heb 11:26 He considered the contempt and abuse and shame [borne for] the Christ (the Messiah Who was to come) to be greater wealth than all the treasures of Egypt, for he looked forward and away to the reward (recompense).

Heb 11:27 [Motivated] by faith he left Egypt behind him, being unawed and undismayed by the wrath of the king; for he never flinched but held staunchly to his purpose and endured steadfastly as one who gazed on Him Who is invisible. [Exod. 2:15.]

Heb 11:28 By faith (simple trust and confidence in God) he instituted and carried out the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood [on the doorposts], so that the destroyer of the firstborn (the angel) might not touch those [of the children of Israel]. [Exod. 12:21-30.]

Heb 11:29 [Urged on] by faith the people crossed the Red Sea as [though] on dry land, but when the Egyptians tried to do the same thing they were swallowed up [by the sea]. [Exod. 14:21-31.]

Heb 11:38 [Men] of whom the world was not worthy--roaming over the desolate places and the mountains, and [living] in caves and caverns and holes of the earth.

Heb 11:39 And all of these, though they won divine approval by [means of] their faith, did not receive the fulfillment of what was promised,

Heb 11:40 Because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them].

It is necessary to have a good start in all our daily encounters, the challenges we faced prepared us for a greater opportunity. All matters and materials we are benefiting from today were once raw materials on process before they became the end products that was extracted out. Likewise we need to pass through the process (preparation stage) that will yield a capable and useful individual in the community. Faith could be smaller than a mustard seed but it could build a great nation and family; it is faith that transit poverty to riches, Move Mountain, heals sickness etc.

"YOU'RE YET A SUCCESS UNTIL YOU DEFEND AND CHANGE THE LIVES ENTRUSTED TO YOUR DESTINY AND PURPOSE".

Each destiny and purpose has the attachment of lives entrusted to it for defence, change and blessing.

Then you have a wrong claimed of success when those lives you ought to defend, change and bless are still under the oppression and slavery of the satanic agencies (enemies).

I want you to remember the impact of the following heroes and legends:

1. To the destiny and purpose of Esther was entrusted the lives of her people (the Jews) for defence and blessing.

"If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. What's more, who can say but that you have been elevated to the palace for just such a time as this? Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I am willing to die". (Esther 4:14-16).

2. To the destiny and purpose of Moses was entrusted the lives of his people (the Israelites) for defence, freedom and blessing.

"Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You will lead my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt". (Exodus 2:10).

3. To the destiny and purpose of Abraham was entrusted the blessings and greatness of his descendants (I and you).

"I will cause you to become the father of a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and I will make you a blessing to others". (Genesis 12:2)

4. To the destiny and purpose of the Lord Jesus Christ was entrusted the salvation for all mankind.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life". (John 3:16).

Hope you are ready to discover those lives which have been entrusted to your destiny and purpose for defence, change and blessings?

As you are doing that, you are likewise opening doors for your destiny helpers to come in.

"YOU ARE THE FINISHED PRODUCT OF YOUR THOUGHTS"

Your ways of feeling could forever remain hidden to the other people around, but not to yourself. Even when the circumstance and the challenges of life seems to be unbearable to your body and spirit, I cautioned you to always be positive to your spirit because it is a driver of your destiny and purpose.

"For as he thinketh in his heart so he is" __ Proverb 23:7.

The unhidden fact is the fact that the reality of life is the reflection of what one believed he deserved. So you must be positive in all utterances, confession and thoughts as matter of securing colorful future. Your best is not that much far from you, rather your best have been embedded inside of you. The deeper you think, the easier you cross all Red seas of life. Yogi Bhajan said "You are very powerful, provided you know how powerful you are."

It's not quite long that I realized that individually, our reality turns to be the reflection of what we accept and believed we deserve it, consciously or unconsciously. I made that discovery some years ago while bargaining on some impossibilities of reaching my life's goals; I thought that I deserve nothing more special than unusual in life when having nobody around to build a positive way of thinking in my spirit being. During those days I have no definite or a specific focus but tend gamble for any opportune luck. You may conclude that I was unfortunate, but I was also looking to find my worth by escaping my everyday life. Nevertheless I have won by understanding that my self-worth was pretty close to zero, the concept of self-love had gotten a chance to make its way on my reader. During all the years that I was unable to see that my choices were the reflection of my low self-love, I felt like making it my best. For years that fear and lack of deservingness followed me in less than ideal living situations. But as I begin to look at self-love, and practice affirmations, yoga, and meditations in nature, it was like a light went on, mostly unconsciously, until the day came when I consciously realized: I deserve best packages of life. That was all it took. The minute I made that connection, I released my fear and doubt of my small paycheck and took action to improve my reality. I knew I had to take the first step and then the universe would follow and take care of me. That belief and faith had helped me hunted for better opportunities, which I finally believed I deserve, and put myself out there to pursue them ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

The uniqueness of nature is certain and it prevails through individual’s personality. There's no another you, but you. There is no one to fulfill your destiny, purpose and assignment but you. No one can function best in that your office of destiny, purpose and assignment but you, and only you can fulfill that to the expectation of God the manufacturer of destiny and the giver of purpose and assignment. Twins could look alike but there is a certain tendency that both two of them are bound to exhibit some specific levels of differences in nature, destiny, purpose and assignment. I have witnessed two identical twins who took the same course of study in the college; they always appeared the same while putting on the same color of clothes, shoes, caps, head tie of the same designs and styles with the same make-up. Their alike appearances became a big barrier of identification, that I myself was unlucky enough to identify which among the two of them is "Taiwo" or "Kehinde". But on one lucky day I had a grace to notice a black spot at the lower jaw of Taiwo and this became my power and top secret for identifying Taiwo from Kehinde. The mystery I wish to pass across with my experience of uniqueness through these twins is what I aspect the readers of this to adhere to. Even as "Taiwo and Kehinde" often appeared the same, God had different deposit in them. Even as they were formed in the womb as a result of the fertilization of a single egg (ova) and which was later divided into two equal parts as a result of cell enlargement within the reproductive system of the mother, and been born with a single placenta; this didn't guaranteed them of having the same nature, destiny, purpose and assignment (though all individuals purpose is toward impacting lives). So it was the self discovered purpose and assignment of each one of them that guaranteed my full access of having summarized details of who Taiwo and Kehinde are. Taiwo was a gospel singer with both 'tenor and alto' singing voice, she's not an ordinary gospel singer, but a singer filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, she know how to sing to inspire lives. Kehinde was a drama minister (a dramatist) she is not an ordinary dramatist, but a drama minister that carried the tabernacle of God's power, she know how to dramatized event to draw people's attention to God through her ministration. Been a gospel singer was a destiny of Taiwo, but impacting lives and winning souls for God was a purpose and assignment attached to her destiny. Been a drama minister (a dramatist) was a destiny of Kehinde, but using the skills to dramatized some events that could draw souls into the kingdom of God was a purpose and assignment attached to her destiny. What is your own purpose? Your different and special way of handling your purpose and assignment that is the exact quality which makes you different and unique among others. Do it differently to discover the real and the only you. I do tell people that no one can compete with me, and whoever may try to compete with me have to bear a risk of remaining a failure forever with even the sores of disappointment in his or her heart. Because nobody else can be me, I am the only me, and God specifically thought and planned me to be me. Wow! Glory to my Father in heaven. Dear, nobody can be you. You are the only you, there cannot be another you, and only you can turn to be you! There is no another or a different creature of God that God have thought and planned to be you; the pretenders shall fail; because no one can disguise to be you. You can never be me, and I can never be you likewise. Wow! Hold your glory with pride. God bless you.

Chose to be a solution to other people’s problem, partake in giving some godly advices and counsels; it is two individuals that make up a family, so try building up the body of Christ. Paul’s earnest desire to build and encourage the body of Christ in Rome was of great impact in Christendom.

Journey through life is full of trials and temptations on the shoulders of all men, and despite of all the challenges not everyone will experience a patience treatment of life at a time but each at different interval. Building more confidence on the affairs of life; “Best” are my warm and compassionate wishes toward mankind. Hope good favor to be the stepping ground of all mankind. Nothing you encounter that’s not common to what others have previously encountered, almost everybody encountered similar and common challenges but varied in degrees. Nevertheless “growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.”

The existence of man is never extends beyond the original life span (season). Each individual’s life has been programmed to suit a particular season in accordance to God’s divine plan. Irrespective of this, there are three major categories of people living in the world: first, they are those who dreamt of something to happen, second, they are those who watches something happening, third, they are those who makes thing happen. Don’t be a dreamer without reasonable action, don’t be a spectator who judge the things happening, rather be the functional key and the source of something to happen (makes thing happen!)

Life has nothing to offer you, rather, you offer life something you made out of it, and it’s what you produced out of life that earns you much profit and riches.
