SHOP with FabricsandFashion?

2018-03-14T15:19:00.001-07:00

[updated 2.20.19] I had a business in 2012 and 2018, both were online boutiques. I was passionate about both but there was always something that just didn't sit right with me. It's like, I couldn't have peace with my business. God, was calling me and now I have more peace then I've ever had in my life.

Thought this was worth the update. =)

SHOPFabricsandFashion is an online boutique & personal styling service. We send and sell brand name, and good quality clothes. Visit www.SHOPFabricsandFashion.com.

MY DREAM CAR

2018-01-02T20:13:00.000-08:00

[edited on 2.20.19] I wrote this post over a year ago and a lot as changed from the way I looked at the world then and the way that I look at the world now. I use to cringe before I was a believer, when taking pictures with materialistic things. While I was never outwardly materialistic, I still had this unconscious idea in my head that I need x to be happy. Now I chuckle; only because I almost LOST everything, and I've learned how to be content in every situation.

I figured this update was worth mentioning.

I really like my new dream car 😍. I’ve always wanted a Beetle and or a Jeep Wrangler! I was in a car accident recently and my now, old car was totaled. I was able to purchase my dream car. #JeepWrangler

Back home to Miami

2017-12-09T21:46:00.003-08:00

I haven't visited the city that I was born and raised in, for almost 5 years. You see, visiting home is a bit bitter sweet. Miami makes remember all of my childhood fears that I hadn't faced. When I arrived to Miami International Airport, even before then I felt a bit of anxiety. Despite the reason for visiting and having the worst experience with American Airlines, the time that I spent with my family was priceless.

Birthday Vibes: 8•25•17

2017-08-25T22:12:00.000-07:00

Hi all,
I really enjoyed my birthday this year. I usually do not celebrate my birthday as much, but this year I did. I'm learning to make the most out of each moment, and to live and enjoy those moments. I've had a hell-of-a-year, unnecessary stress but positive change.

This year, I went to Ibiza Spain for my birthday and bar hopped in Downtown San Jose.

2017 Vision Board

2017-02-25T13:54:00.001-08:00

I love my 2017 vision board. I love the concept of having a vision board. I literally look at my vision board everyday. It keeps me focus on the desires of my heart. I want to be a full time travel and fashion blogger. What is your vision for 2017?

SAY YES TO NEW ADVENTURES

2017-02-24T14:01:00.001-08:00

Guess where I am going next?

Thailand (Bangkok), Thailand (Phi Phi), London, and Paris.

I'm super excited, check out some of the stuff I purchased for this trip!

First thing first, as mentioned in my previous post. I map out all the places, prices, hotels, and activities before I travel. Thus, it was only fitting to buy blank journals. From: Ross Price: 3.99-7.99

and ....

Between the roads in Santorini and the airport in the US, the wheels on my old luggage broke! So, I had to purchase new luggage! I also decided to purchase this cool Wanderlust bag. Additionally, I purchased a scale because my luggage has been considered overweight twice. I refuse to pay $100. Lastly, I purchased socks for my flight. Not just any-old socks, but socks to help with blood circulation in my legs. Hours of sitting down on flights can reduce circulation.

Tips on how to travel alone

2017-01-29T06:56:00.002-08:00

I travel alone quit a bit. I used to want to travel with family and friends. However, everyone was either too busy or wanted to go places that I've already been. After being bored and tired of waiting on other people. I started traveling alone, domestically. After getting the hang of traveling alone in the states, I started traveling alone internationally.

Below are 7 tips on how to be safe while traveling solo.

1. Test run

Start off traveling alone domestically before traveling internationally.
This will give you a practice run in safer and familiar territories.

2. PLAN PLAN PLAN

Print out all itineraries (both flight and hotel), MapQuest the distance between the airport and your hotel.
Print out all activities you are interested in doing in the location you'll be in. With the location address, phone number and office hours.
Look up bus routes and train routes near your hotel and the airport.

3. Location is everything; Pick a safe place to travel.

Always look out for travel advisories via the US Embassy.
Also always read reviews from TripAdvisor.

4. Wifi and Airport Shuttles

Always choose a hotel with Wifi and if possible Airport Shuttle and free breakfast.
Always choose a hotel near a train station or a bus (no more than 11 miles away).
I book with www.booking.com and always filter out hotels based upon Wifi and Airport Shuttles.

5. Protect your passport - ALWAYS (buy a fanny pack)

Other countries, even the safer countries have low violent crime rates but high petty theft rates aka pickpocketers. I've met so many people who have had their passport, phone and money stolen.
Look out for pickpocketeres who create a divergence to steal your belongings. A lot of them work in pairs. Be careful on who you're friendly with while traveling.

6. Buy buy buy!

Buy a portable charger
Buy an international charger
Buy a wifi calling card (can be purchased at the airport)
Buy at least $200 worth of currency in the country you're visiting beforehand.
Buy a fanny pack (as mentioned above)

7. Keep in touch

Make a copy of your passport and give one to your closest relative. Make another copy and keep it in your luggage.
At least once per day message someone in your family letting them know where you are and what you have on. I use WhatsApp for messaging and calls when I am out of the country. It's free of charge!

New Year Eve

2017-01-01T10:21:00.000-08:00

New Year Eve,

I cannot believe in one more day, it'll be 2017. Time has really flown by. I moved to California November of 2015, I can no longer say that I am not a Californian. Which reminds me, I still have to get a CA driver license and maybe change my phone number.

The first thing I am going to do this New Year is thank Jesus! Secondly, I am going to host a vision board party. I made a vision board last year and 90% of my visions came true. To see my 2016 vision board go to my instagram.

Today I decided to step outside and enjoy the view. A usually Friday would consist of a lot of sleep, staying home and cleaning. I went to Santa Monica Promenade, it's an out door shopping mall across the street from the beach. I love this place! Enjoy the pictures :)
