Trinity Stamps: Kind Thoughts are Flowers from the Heart

Hi everyone!

I am back today with a second post and I am sharing a mini slim line card using few of the new Trinity Stamps products: Buttercup Blossoms stamp set along with the coordinating dies and the Dainty Scallop Edge Mini Slimline die set

To make the card start by die cutting three of the largest mini slimline dies. I do this is to add more dimension to my card instead of using foam. Also this way the card is sturdier and handles going through the mail better.

Next, stamp, color and die cut two of the flower borders from the Buttercup Blossoms stamp set. Also die cut 6 additional pieces to use to stack up the images for added dimension. Same way like we did for the mini slimline panel.

Using adhesive stack up the layers. You can see the achieved dimension below.

Stamp sentiment on blue card stock (same color as your mini slim line layer) and emboss in white. Die cut using the Slimline Series: Stitched Strips Die set. Adhere additional strips on the back to create dimension.
Assemble your card by adhering the flower borders and the sentiment, then adhering to a mini slimline note card ( I create mine using 6 1/2" x 7" piece of white card stock and score the 7" side at 3 1/2")

To finish your card add few Amber Glow Rhinestones Embellishment Mix.

Spellbinders: Be Merry Collection

Hi everyone!

It's the 20th of the month which means new Spellbinders release! This release is all about Christmas, the Holiday Season and winter and it's amazing! Today I am sharing three cards using the new Be Merry Collection.

For my cards I used the Chill Bear and Dancin' Gnome die sets along with the Gifts of Christmas Sentiments Hot Foil set. I created three different sizes of cards: standard slimline, A2 and mini slimline card. These dies are so much fun to play with.

For my first card I used both the bear and the gnome. I also paired it up with the Confetti background glimmer plate and also used the new Color Block scenic scape.

For my second card I used the Chill bear die set to create the A2 card, also combined it with the color block scenic scape and the Gift of Christmas Sentiments Hot foil set (I am loving this Poppy Fields red card stock from Spellbinders!!!) I also added Sparkle silk to the snowflakes.

Last but not the least is a gnome mini slimline card. Besides the products from the Be Merry Collection I also used the

Hi everyone!

I am back today with couple cards using the brand new release from Ellen Hutson. It's all about Hawaii and it's so much fun. I used all three new stamp sets to create the two card below.

For my first card I used the Mondo Anthurium set! I stamped the image on Arches Cold Press watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I watercolored with Karin Brush Pro markers and trimmed it down to 4" x 5 1/4" Next I stamped the sentiment on Hero Arts Pitch Black card stock and embossed in white. Trimmed to size and assembled the card.

For my second card I used the Aloha stamp set and the coordinating dies, along with the It's Jungle set and also the coordinating dies. I stamped the images on watercolor paper, and like in the previous card I colored with the Karin Brush Pro markers. Once colored I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Next I used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink to apply to my background panel. Adhered the images and stamped the sentiment in black. Then adhered my panel to a top folding white note card.

For my card today I used the small die of the month kit, along with the clear stamp of the month.

To make the card I stacked three die cut panels , one from waterfall card stock and two from white card stock. Next I stamped the image on watercolor paper and embossed in white. Watercolored with the Jane Davenport Mermaid markers and fussy cut it. Next cut a base panel only and stamped the sentiment. Assembled the card.

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Picket Fence Studios July release. This month is all about Christmas and Winter and also Halloween and Fall. It's such a fun release and you don't want to miss it!!!

First off I am showing you Christmas....and there are two new stand alone gnome dies Chilly the Gnome and Billy the Gnome!!! I LOVE them, also there is a separate stamp set with gnome sentiments!!!

And then we have Halloween!!! I am not really a Halloween kind of girl, but love the Halloween products in this release. I used the Spiderweb cover plate and You Creep Me Out set and dies!!! I LOVE the cute little monsters in this set and it can be used for occasions far beyond Halloween, especially for cards for kids.

Trinity Stamps: You Make Me Smile

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a fun masking technique using the new Encouragement Text Background stamp which I combined with the Wildflower Clippings die set and the Supporting Script Sentiments from Trinity Stamps.

To make the card we will start with creating the masked background. Using the Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack die set I die cut a mask from masking paper. Make sure you save the negative and that it's large enough to cover A2 piece of card stock.

Position the rectangle mask on a A2 piece of white card stock (do not adhere). Adhere the negative around it. Remove the center. Stamp the background using Gray ink and remove the mask! Ta-da!

Die cut it with one of the larger Modern Embossed Rectangle dies and set a side.

Next, die cut flowers from the Wildflower Clippings die set using Aqua, Grapefruit, Yellow and Green card stock. Also die cut bunch from white card stock that you will use to back the colored die cuts to create dimension. Arrange them on your background panel. To make sure they are where I want to be when I adhere them, I use a piece of Press'n Seal to pick them up.

Add adhesive on the back, then add the entire arrangement to the background!

You have now the main part for your card. Next stamp sentiment from the Supporting Script Sentiments stamp set using Versamark or other embossing ink on gray card stock and emboss in white. Trim it to size/strip to fit across your panel. Adhere it to the panel, then using craft foam or stack few pieces of card stock same size as your panel and adhere on the back of the stamped panel and adhere to a gray note card (I made mine top folding one by using piece of gray card stock measuring 4 1/4" x 11" and scored it at 5 1/2")

Here is a little close up of the dimension of the flowers :

To finish off the card add Something New Baubles in the flower centers and around the flower arrangement.

Spellbinders: July Small Die of the Month Kit Card Idea

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing few samples using the July Small Die Kit of the Month from Spellbinders. I paired it up with the Clear Stamp Set of the month to create fun mini slim line card. All kits this month can be used together and you can create super fun mini slim line cards.

To make my card I due cut the panel from Mirror Gold card stock, then stacked up 2 more panels die cut from white card stock to add some dimension. Next I die cut just the frame and adhered the panel on top of it. Stamped sentiment from the July Clear Stamp set of the Month using Versamark and embossed in gold. Set it aside.

Next, stamp the flower cluster from the July CSOM in Versamark on watercolor paper and emboss in gold. Watercolor and fussy cut it. Adhere to the panel and assemble your card!

I have couple cards to share with you an a video for the first one.

For my first card using the main kit I adapted a technique from Jennifer McGuire on creating sparkly acetate sheets, but instead of creating sparkly overlay for my ink blended panel, I decided to laminate my panel with all the sparklines in it. Watch the video below how I did that!!! Once I created my background I stamped, die cut and colored my images using Copic Markers (colors are listed below)

I created frame from Pitch Black card stock and rounded rectangles infinity dies. Added sentiment and voila.

For my second card I used few of the add on products, mainly dies, along with a sentiment from Magical Forest set. (details below)

To make the next card I stamped the wood grain background on Sand and Mist Cards tock and embossed with Clear embossing powder. I cut out the Fairy Door from both. I cut the door in strips from the Mist card stock and ink blended Pool Party reactive ink along the edges, then adhered on top of the Sand one. I die cut the hinges, windows, handle from Chestnut card stock, also the inside of the windows from Canary card stock. Added Canary panel behind the sand one. Added the window frames, hinges etc. Added Lacquer Pen and set it aside to dry.

In meantime I die cut the Branches Infinity dies from Kiwi cardstock and ink blended Green Apple reactive ink around the edges. Also die cut the Mushrooms and Ferns from Antique Ivory, Peony and Meadow card stock. Ink blended Green Apple reactive ink, Pale Tomato and Wet Cement Shadow inks. Assembled them and added to my panel. To finish it off I stamped sentiment on Pitch Black card stock and embossed in white. Added to the panel and adhered the panel to a top folding white note card.

Trinity Stamps: Foiled Celebrate

Hi everyone!

I am back today with another post and I am sharing a super fun and festive mini slimline card combining few of the new Trinity products and it's also up on the Trinity Blog HERE! (go check it out): Big Celebrate Cut and Foil Die set, Mini-Slimline Stitched Layers Stack Die set and the Pretty Party Decor stamp set.

To make the card start by foiling the Celebrate using matte gold foil. Once foiled use the coordinating die cut to cut it out. Also die cut three additional pieces to stack them up. (I like using stacking die cuts to add dimension compared to using foam tape or craft foam). Once you have all the layers adhere them together and use something heavy to put on top while the adhesive dries (I like to use liquid adhesive)

Cut a piece of white card stock that measures bigger than 3"x6" (this is the size of the largest die from the Mini-Slimline Stitched Layers Stack die set. Stamp the elements from the Pretty Party Decor stamp set. Use masking paper to overlap some of the images. Once your first layer is stamped, use MISTI or stamp positioning tool of your choice to stamp the second layer using darker color of ink. Stamp one image at a time. Once you have stamped with darker color ink, clean your stamp and add some gold ink on one side and stamp and stamp. This adds little bit more interest and shimmer to your project and will pull the images together with the gold foiled Celebrate.

Die cut the stamped panel using the largest Mini-Slimline Stitched die. Die cut three additional panels and stack them together, like we did for the Celebrate word. Let it dry under something heavy (this is not requirement, but it's something I like to do).

Once dry, adhere the foiled Celebrate Word and add some Gorgeous Golden Baubles Embellishment mix. Now you are done with your main panel and you can adhere it to a mini slimline card base. (I made the card base from white card stock measuring 6 1/4" x 6 1/2", and scored the 6 1/2" side at 3 1/4")

Hero Arts: July My Monthly Hero Cowntdown to Creativity

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday Today we are continuing with the July My Monthly Hero Sneak peeks!

I love all the cute images in this kit! This month theme is all about fairies, gnomes etc. The images and so cute and super fun to color. The kit also includes coordinating dies TOO!

The kit goes live on Tuesday July 6th at 10am PST/1pm EST.
For my card today I started by stamping the images on white card stock, colored them with Copics and die cut them using the coordinating dies. Set them aside.

Next I ink blended my background using Taffy, Creamsicle and Key Lime Fizz Reactive ink. Splashed some water to create texture and trimmed it down to 4" x 5 1/4". Next I stamped the sentiment using Clear Embossing and Watermark ink on Pitch Black Cardstock and embossed using Detail White Embossing Powder. Cut to size. Add all the elements on the ink blended panel and adhere to to top folding white note card!

Scrappy Tails Crafts and Pear Blossom Press Collaboration Hop

For my card today I used few products from the June Scrappy Tails release: Fairy Silhouettes die set, Forest Tree cover die, Fairy Sentiments set and dies and the Starry Night stencil.

To make the card I die cut the Forest Tree cover and fairies. three times from black card stock and stacked them up. Next I created my background by ink blending pink, purple and orange reactive inks, then adding interest by splattering some water, then some white acrylic paint, adding the Starry Night stenciling using Metallic white ink and some more stars using white gel pen! Then stamped and embossed the sentiments, added the lights on the back and assembled the card!

I stamped the image in black ink and embossed in clear, then colored using the aqua pastels and watercolors.

For my second card I used the Mermaid Markers and Brave Bear stamp set. I created the background on watercolor paper, let it dry, then stamped and embossed the image and sentiment in white.

LDRS Creative: Friends Make Happiness Bloom

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a card using the brand new Summer Collection 1 from LDRS Creative. There are so many beautiful new products!!!! You should check it out.

For my card today I used the Corner Garden stamp set and the coordinating dies. I stamped the image, colored and die cut, next using black MicronPen I colored the white edges of the die cut, so it blends with the black background I used. Before I adhered the image to my black panel, I stamped the sentiment in Watermark and Embossing ink and embossed in white. Adhered the image using foam tape, then added some pearls and adhered to white note card to finish it off!

Scrappy Tails Crafts: Every Friendship has a story

Hi everyone!

I have a super fun shaker card to share with you that combines few of the new Magical Summer release from Scrappy Tails crafts.

To make the card I started by foiling the Fairy Dust Swirl Hot foil plate using matter gold foil on heat resistant acetate. Once foiled I trimmed the acetate for 4 ¼” x 5 ½” to fit A2 card front. The foiled acetate will be our shaker window.

Then I created the frame for the shaker card. I used 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of Navy card stock and using round rectangle die from my stash I created the window, then adhered the acetate on the back of it.

Next, I used the Starry Night stencil set (only the 2 stencils with the moon) and ink blended using different shades of blue on white card stock. Once I was satisfied with the look, I found a matching circle die in my stash and cut the moon out. I die cut additional circles same size from navy card stock and stacked them up for extra dimension. Set aside to dry. I usually put something heavy on top to help dry flat.
Next die cut the fairies from Fairy Silhouettes die set from white glitter paper. Cut extra from white card stock and stack them up. Let it dry.

To create the shaker part, add foam adhesive tape on the back of the window making sure there are no gaps. Cut another piece of navy card stock measuring 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. Remove the adhesive backing. Add sequin assortment and adhere the navy backing to enclose the sequins. Adhere the shaker to a navy note card.

Adhere the moon and the fairies.

Stamp sentiment from Fairy Botanicals set on navy card stock and emboss using Gold sparkle embossing powder, trim to size and adhere to the card to finish it off!

I stamped the images using Midnight ink , die cut and colored with Alcohol based markers. Next, stamped the background and switch using In the Park and Midnight ink. Watch the video below to see how this card came to be and how the lights were assembled under the panel (it's very EASY!!!!)

Picket Fence Studios: June Release is Live

I have two cards for you today

For my first card today I used the You Were Mermaid for Me set along with A Fishy Lot. I stamped the images on watercolor paper with black and embossed in clear. Once embossed I used Karin Brush Pro markers to watercolor the scene and the elements.

Die cut and assembled my panel, then using craft foam adhered to a A2 notecard!

For my second card I used the Drop By to Say Croak set and coordinating dies along with Pond Scenery to create my little froggy scene. I LOVE LOVE the frogs!! I also used the Nested Rectangles Slim Line dies to create my slimline card.

Pink and Main: I am Here for You Always

Hi everyone!

Happy Sunday! I am back with another card using the May Pink and Main collection. I used the Dearest Friend stamp set which is a 6x6 set and has this amazing huge butterfly. I found a background I had previously made using gel press and dye inks and stamped it on it using Embossing ink, then embossed in white. I used my MISTI, so I was able to go back and repeat the process to get little bit thicker layer of embossing.

Trimmed the background to 4" x 5 1/4". Stamped sentiment on black card stock, embossed in white and trimmed it. Using foam tape I adhered it to my stamped panel. Next, using craft foam I adhered to top folding white note card and added few pears from the Essential pack to finish it off.

Pink and Main: You Are Truly Amazing

Hi everyone!

Happy Saturday! Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you using the May Pink and Main Release. I love this month's focus on butterflies.

To make the card I started by stamping one of the butterflies from the Butterfly sketches set, I used my MISTI tool and two shades of teal ink to get multicolored look. Next I die cut it using the coordinating die.

I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Butterfly kisses pack to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the sentiment from Dear Friend set using black ink. Adhered the butterfly using foam tape and adhered using craft foam to a top folding white note card.
