From Arlanda Airport I went directly to Kista.<br /><br /><br />Taxi in Stockholm is very expensive (in fact everything in Stockholm :) ). You can see lot of taxi drivers waiting as you step outside the airport. They all welcome you but first check with them on the rates before you get onto the taxi.<br /><br />Arlanda airport has an information desk which will guide you with the map of the city and also will help you with rough estimate on taxi if you tell them the destination. If you want to go directly to Stockholm, you have Arlanda express available at the airport (200 SEK)<br /><br />You can take a cab from Arlanda Airport to reach Kista (20 minutes) which will cost you approximately 375 Swedish Krona (SEK:kr).<br /><br />Kista is known as the Silicon Valley of Sweden because of its ICT Industry. It is located on the northwest of Stockholm (12 Kms). Worlds biggest ICT company Ericsson AB is headquartered at Kista. It is located at a distance of 12 km from Stockholm city and 28 km from Arlanda International Airport.<br /><br />You don't have too many options to choose for a short stay, specially if you want to stay at Kista. For budget travelers, its better to prefer an apart hotel where you can make food yourself. One good option will be to stay at StayAt (which is located in Kista Galleria shopping mall).<br /><br />You can find a cheap grocery store "Kista Grossen" (Address : Torsnasgatan 4 Kista) just outside Galleria. You will get food items from around the world at a very reasonable price here.<br /><br />One thing I realized late (after reaching Kista) was that Liquor is really costly in Nordic countries.
