Its that time of season again when we spend alot of time outdoors and there are so many pesky bugs out there. The worse at our house is the wasp and hornets. They are everywhere and so vicious. Me and my daughter are allergic to them so it makes it even more scary. So when I had the opportunity to test out the TERRO Wasp & Hornet Killer you bet I jumped at he chance.

It arrived in the nick of time. They were starting to make nests under my deck and in my siding. We soaked the nests and area around it. The wasps hated that but too bad soo sad NOT LOL! With in a few minutes the wasps started to die or fly away and hopefully died as well. The spray lasted a week or two before they started slowing coming back so we just sprayed again and they left again. So it's not a permanent fix but alot longer than some of the other treatments I have tried. So if you have wasps and hornets like I do you have to try TERRO Wasp & Hornet Killer. Our Opinion:
I love comedies and love shows and this was both with alot of action and suspense. You pretty much get every genre in this one terrific movie. I loved it and my husband loved it! We both give it 2 thumbs up! So if you haven't seen it head out and pick it up today!

Frank Sinatra Film Collection on DVD

My husband is a huge Frank Sinatra fan. He has almost all of his songs on his Ipod. He was a great singer! With all of the great music Frank Sinatra put out, it's sometimes easy to forget that he was also a awesome actor. He appeared in alot films. The Frank Sinatra Film Collection includes ten of those films. They are presented in chronological order from The Pride And The Passion(1957) to Lady In Cement (1968). My husband was so excited to watch them.

I think in 3 days my husband watched all of the movies and he loved each and everyone. My favorite was called A Hole in the Head.

A Hole In The Head (1959)

This sweet comedy stars Frank Sinatra as Tony, a guy who runs a hotel in Florida while trying to raise a boy, and who also happens to be broke. The excellent supporting cast features Edward G. Robinson, Eleanor Parker, Carolyn Jones, Thelma Ritter, Keenan Wynn and Eddie Hodges. Carolyn Jones is delightful as Shirl, Tony's girlfriend. And Edward G. Robinson is excellent as Tony's brother, who is used to helping Tony out of financial jams.

A Hole In The Head also features two songs, "All My Tomorrows" and "High Hopes," written by Sammy Cahn and James Van Heusen. Though the film is not a musical, "High Hopes" is presented in the fashion of a musical; that is, Frank Sinatra and Eddie Hodges sing it on a park bench, and there is musical accompaniment which isn't seen. It's the one departure from a generally realistic feel. A Hole In The Head was directed by Frank Capra.

Summer is approaching and we are getting ready for lots of family get togethers. That means tons of food and refreshments. Where do I go to get great stuff and great prices to make my party extra special? Target of course. Why you ask? Well Target has everything I need at reasonable prices to make my house look its best and my parties a hit.

With brands like Market Pantry , Up & Up, Archer Farms and many more you can never go wrong. On Easter we had a great Archer Farms Spiral Cut Half Ham, for only $2.99/lb, Market Pantry Scalloped Potatoes, $1.34, fresh fruit and veggie trays and to drink some yummy Archer Farms Coffee in Iced Coffee Blend and Blackberry Cobbler, $6.99. I spent less than $50 for Easter dinner celebration for a huge family. You can't beat that and everyone loved it.

So how are Market Pantry and Archer Farms products? They are absolutely amazing and best part they are way better priced than the other brand and they have just as good if not better taste. Tasty Tuesday- Baked Pork Egg Rolls

Baked Pork Egg Rolls

Ingredients
1 cooked pork tenderloin, (1 pound), trimmed*
Cooking spray
4 cups coleslaw mix
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
16 egg roll wrappers

Cooking Directions
1.Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

2.Spray a large baking pan with cooking spray.

3.Place the coleslaw mix and green onions in a medium microwave-safe bowl.

4.Cover with wax paper and microwave on high until softened, 5 minutes.

5.Transfer to a plate and let cool slightly.

6.Finely chop the tenderloin.

7.Combine tenderloin, coleslaw mixture, cilantro, and hoisin sauce in a large bowl and toss to mix well.

8.Working with one 1 egg roll wrapper at a time (keep the remaining wrappers covered to prevent drying), place the wrapper on a work surface with one corner pointing toward you. Brush edge of wrapper with water. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the pork tenderloin mixture in the center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling. Fold in the sides and roll up.

9.Place the egg rolls seam side down on a plate and cover with damp paper towels to prevent drying. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

10.Arrange egg rolls in a single layer seam side down in the prepared baking pan. Lightly spray egg rolls with cooking spray.

11.Bake until the bottoms are lightly browned, about 8 minutes.

12.Turn the egg rolls and bake until tops are lightly browned, about 3 minutes longer.

13.Serve hot or warm. Makes 16 servings

Our Opinion:
We have loved the other Chipmunk movies so we were very excited to see this one. This one was just as good as the others. We laughed and danced and grooved to the movie. There suspense and action and tons of fun. My family couldn't get enough of this movie. It has been a hit and they have probably watched it 100 times already! We all give it 2 thumbs up!

So head out if you haven't already and get your copy of Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked! Your family will love it and it will make a great family movie night!

Some of my favorite recipes are the Pina Colada cupcakes and the peanut butter cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. Simple and cute homemade Teacher Appreciation gifts

So its Teacher Appreciation week at my kids school so I decided to make two cute gifts for the teachers. The first one I made are:

Smartie Bags

Supplies:
sandwich bag
couple rolls of smarties candies ( i used 7)
paper of any kind like construction paper or scrapbooking paper
Marker
stapler or tape

Directions:
1. Put the smarties in the bag and close

2. cut paper the length of the bag and about 5 inch wide and the second piece in another color a little smaller length then the first one and about 3 inch wide and then the last piece of paper I made about 3 inches long and 2 inch wide.

3. fold biggest paper the first one over the top of the bag and staple or tape to bag.

4. on the smallest piece of paper the third piece Write with marker "Thanks for making me such a "Smartie"!"

5. tape or staple small piece on to the second piece and then onto the one you taped or staple to the bag. And then your done! A very cute gift!

Our Opinion:
We give it 2 thumbs up. It was funny and cute and our whole family loved it. My kids have literally watched it a million times. They love Larry the Cable guy from Cars and comedy channel. It kept you watching the whole time even my 4 year old sat and watched the whole thing. Definitely a great family movie night movie you will all love! So head out and get it today!

Berry S’Mores

This take on a classic summer treat is sure to please the kids without giving them an insane sugar high!

Ingredients:

graham crackers

softened cream cheese

sliced berries

(adding in chocolate is optional as these are delicious without it).

Directions:

Just break the graham cracker in half, spread about a table spoon of cream cheese on one side, add some berries on top, and put the other half of the graham cracker on top. Now you have an easy, delicious, healthy s’more to enjoy!

Strawberry Trifle

A yummy strawberry trifle is the perfect treat to eat while enjoying the new Strawberry Shortcake DVDs!

Ingredients:

four tablespoons of sugar

two pints of fresh strawberries (chopped)

four ounces of softened cream cheese

two cups of whipping cream

one pre-made pound cake

one half cup of melted, seedless raspberry jelly

Directions:

First, stir two tablespoons of sugar into the sliced strawberries. Next, beat the remaining two tablespoons of sugar into the cream cheese. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form, and then gently fold the cream into the cream cheese/sugar mixture. Then, cut the pound cake into slices that are about 1/3 inch thick. Arrange a layer of those slices at the bottom of a glass bowl (or a festive clear glass container of your choosing), then drizzle with the melted jelly. Next, add a layer of strawberries and a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Continue layering, making sure that the last layer is the cream cheese mixture. Garnish with strawberries.

Our Opinion:
My kids love the taste and ease of the use of this mouthwash. My oldest has taken it over. I like that it is natural and helps her gums since she has braces on. It has also really helped her dragon breath haha. I definitely would recommend this mouthwash.

Ham with Apple Juice, Brown Sugar and Mustard Glaze

Ingredients:
1 10-pound ham with rind
1 cup Tree Top Apple Juice
½ cup Dijon mustard
2/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
¼ cup honey

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place ham in large roasting pan and pour apple juice over top.

2. Cover ham with parchment paper, then cover ham and roasting pan with heavy-duty foil, sealing tightly at the edges of the pan.

3. Bake ham until thermometer inserted into center of ham, registers 145 degrees (should take approximately 3 hours 45 minutes). Remove ham from oven, and increase oven temperature to 375 degrees.

4. Remove foil and parchment from ham. Drain and discard liquids from roasting pan.

5. Cut off rind and all but ¼ inch thick layer of fat from ham and discard. Using long sharp knife, score fat in 1 inch wide, ¼ inch deep diamond pattern.

6. Spread mustard evenly over fat layer on ham.

7. Pat brown sugar over mustard coating, pressing firmly to adhere.

8. Drizzle honey evenly over and bake ham until it is well glazed, approximately 30 minutes. While baking, spoon any mustard and sugar glaze that slides into roasting pan back over ham.

9. Transfer ham to serving platter, let cool at least 45 minutes. Slice and serve slightly warm or at room temperature.

Baby Spinach Salad with Berries

Ingredients:
1 cup Archer Farms Blueberry Nut Trail Mix ($6.99)
2/3 cup Archer Farms Raspberry Acai Vinaigrette ($2.99)
1 bag baby spinach
½ cup thinly sliced red onions

Directions:
Toss all ingredients together in large bowl and serve. Garnish with fresh raspberries, if desired. I like to use strawberries and other fruits as well. You can even add some Feta cheese or bleu cheese or even mozzarella. Just spruce it up to whatever your heart desires. But know this is healthy and delicious and extremely addicting.

If you remember a couple weeks ago I posted about my oldest daughter using X Out acne treatments and now I am back to share how the treatments are going. We were quite excited to try something gentle enough for her skin and help her complexion and make her feel confidant about her face. So how is it going?

Overall we are very impressed with the system. We have seen quite a change in her complexion already. She has less acne and breakouts. Her skin is smoother and more regulated with the oils and dry spots. Everything is now even and she loves it. She feel like it totally helped her skin and have less pimples. She felt it was very easy to use and didn't take very long to do it. That is great for her because for a 13 year old she is always to busy to do anything lol. She now will not even think about trying something else. She says she is a X Out acne treatment "lifer" as she calls it. Haha teens! Another great thing about the X Out program was the QR code video. She loved watching it and it definitely made the wait time go alot faster for her.

Who do you think of when you think of mustard? The first thing that comes to my mind is French's. I love French's. I have used it for years over every other brand. I use the plain yellow for hot dogs, hamburgers, and even to dip my pretzels in. There's nothing better than French's yellow mustard. Well except French's Honey mustard dipping sauce. My kids love this one for our homemade chicken nuggets. Another awesome French's mustard is their Dijon mustard. It has a bit of a tang but so good as sauce on fish and sandwiches and more. Here is a awesome French's recipe.

Salmon with Dijon sauce

Ingredients:
4 (6 oz.) salmon fillets
Salt and pepper to taste
1/3 cup FRENCH'S® Dijon Mustard
3 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. minced garlic

Directions:
SEASON salmon with salt and pepper. Place into greased baking dish, skin side down.

MIX remaining ingredients. Reserve 1/3 cup sauce. Spread remaining sauce over salmon pieces.

BAKE salmon at 400°F for 10 to 15 min. until salmon is cooked through. Serve with the reserved mustard sauce.
