A New Year and a New Nutrisystem week 20

So my last Nutrisystem I told you my journey was done well since I did reach my first goal of 10lbs I made another goal to lose 5 more pounds so a total of 15lbs since started. Seeing the new Nutrisystem Success program started in 2012 I decided to go ahead and continue for another 3 months and try to make it to make ultimate goal of weighing 115. Yay! Now I must say the Holiday did damage to my diet. I must say though after going through the Nutrisystem I had alot more self control and realized portion control but I did gain some of that fetched weight back (Im sad) but this is a new year and I have more motivation and more control to do this right!

So what's new with the Nutrisystem Success program? Alot! It is a better program with alot more success. It doesn't only help you diet but it helps change your lifestyle and help you learn that its not a diet it is a way of life and you learn the basic on how to eat without overindulging. Plus they added some great new food item inspired by Chefs Table! MMM Yummy! The best part they added a delicious yet fulling protein shake to breakfast that comes in 4 different flavors, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and coffee. The great thing about the shakes is you just add cold water and mix in their convenient mixing shaker cup. You can even do water and ice and the protein powder in the blender for a frozen yummy shake. I mean whats better than a yummy shake and you could even add your fruit to it and make it a smoothie. It keeps you full for hours and gives you the protein to give you the energy to make it through the day. I love it! I cant wait to see how things go now on this great diet program!

Fingers cross I can get that squeezed in my schedule of fulltime college and 6 trips to picking and dropping kids off at their schools along with appts. and errands and etc. But you know what it is a New Year and a new goal and I am not going to see my glass half empty. My kids and hubby loves cereals for breakfast and for late night snacks. The only thing is they like sweet unhealthy cereals and I refuse to buy them. So when we got the chance to try Frosted Toast Crunch you bet we said yes. I knew General Mills had the best tasting cereal and they are all pretty healthy compared to others. So I couldn't wait to see how it tasted and if my family liked it!

Our Opinion:
Being a mom to 6 kids and being a nursing student I see how bullying is getting so bad and most bullying is about weight. Being in a very obese world right now just doesnt help either. It is sad! This movie I feel so be put in every school curriculum even elementary school levels. I mean bullying starts in Kindergarten these days. You can be bullied on clothing, weight, friend choices, religion, skin color, and cleanliness and more. It is becoming a academic in our world and kids are taking it harder resulting in low self esteem, bad grades, depression and even suicides. That is absolutely crazy. This movie is a great inspirational movie about a kid with a weight problem and who get severely bullied and how he overcomes it to accomplish his goals. This makes this kid a hero in my eyes. Its hard being a kids as it is and to see what this kid overcomes and his strength is amazing. It is a definite must watch movie and every house and school with kids should have it and watch it.

So check it out on Amazon and local retailers every where. Watch it as a family; share it with your schools; share it with friends and play groups. Just check out this movie and share it with anyone you think will love it!

The new season of Pretty Little Liars is finally here! I cant wait to see what the girls will be up to in the New Year. Will they be up to their old tricks or new tricks? Will we ever see Dr. Sullivan again, and what was in the envelope that “A” handed to her? I am not sure about that either but I cant wait to find out! Our Opinion:
This is a total chick flick but you know if you want to make your guy suffer through a chick flick with you this is one you might get them to sit through since its all about baseball. I loved this movie and so did my mom. It is sad, triumphant, empowering and moving. It makes you think about your own struggles in life that you are battling with and after watching this my life goals don't seem as hard to get to after seeing this special person be able to accomplish such a amazing feat. It leaves you feeling if he can do it then I can do it! This is definitely a great movie for the family and very inspiring! You have to check out A Mile in His Shoes on Jan. 10, 2012 when it comes to DVD!

Our Opinion:
As a family we love games of all sorts. We have family game nights as well as we play games whenever we get bored or just want to have fun. So when we got the chance to try out Say Anything we couldn't wait to see if it was a game we would all like. I can say it is a fun game to get to know each other. I like that we ask question and write our own opinion the only part I didn't like was the one person picking their favorite answer and us having to guess to get points. Its everyone's own answer so to me they are all great answers. So we changed it up a bit and did it where the person who draws the card reads the question out loud and then secretly write their answer and we have to try and guess what it is. To me that was alot funner and we had a blast with it. Even though we didn't play the way the rules said we loved the game and still play it our way all the time and will continue to play it. It is definitely a great ice breaker game to get to know each other and that's why we love it so much! So if your looking for a great game to play that will help you get to know each other better with friends and family then you have to check out Say Anything from North Star Games! You will love it!

Our Opinion:
I loved Garfield as a kid and the love has continued through my kids. They love all the Garfield movies. I mean really whats not to loved about this crazy humorous fat cat Garfield and his loving slobbery sidekick Odie? This movie was funny and kept my kids entertained the whole time. We have probably watched it about 10 times already. They just cant get enough of it and still my kids laugh every-time they watch it. It is a awesome family movie. The Garfield Show: Dinosaur & Other Animal Adventures will be released on January 10, 2012 so check it out when it comes out trust me you don't want to miss it!

Game info:
In 100 Wacky Things™, players pick cards that tell them to salute the nearest wall, do the Chicken Dance around the room or walk like a gorilla. Other cards set off chain reactions among players. Your actions might cause others to pretend they’re riding a horse around the room and say: “Giddyup!”, do a hula dance, pretend to jump rope or hiss like a snake.

Throughout the game, players will draw two types of Wacky Cards: Always and Whenever. If a player draws an Always Card, they will do whatever the Wacky Card says immediately and then repeat that wacky thing whenever it’s their turn. A Whenever Card directs a player to do whatever the card says whenever another player does something specific. For example, if Jenny’s card tells her to sing the Happy Birthday song and pretend to blow out candles, then Eric will need to stand up and do the twist since his card states he must do the twist whenever someone sings. The standing causes Annie to howl at the moon, while the animal noise causes Gary to tap his heels together and recite, “There’s no place like home.”

Players will compete to be the person who does the wackiest things and gets the highest score. Players win points by performing each wacky act they have in their hands throughout the game. Point values can be found on the Wacky Card and range in numbers from 1–12, based on the wackiness of the action. And, did we mention the silly props? Who can resist acting goofy while wearing an elephant nose, feathered boa, funny glasses or singing into an echo microphone. 100 Wacky Things is for 3 or more players ages 7 and up. Pretty Little Liars premiere Jan. 2

The summer season finale of Pretty Little Liars ended with a cliffhanger leaving viewers still wondering, “Who is A?”After that episode I am really not sure who A is. It could be Allison or Aria or even someone completely different. With this shows twists and turns I am not even gonna try to guess lol. I believe Jenna/Garrett alliance is something worth keeping an eye out for becuase you never know what they are capable of doing and achieving. I cant wait for the season premiere on January 2, where do you think the plot will pick up and how are the girls going to get out of the mess they’re in? I cant wait to see!

From October to January we have so many parties that evolve around food. It can be a challenge to find things affordable yet yummy and still wow your guest. Luckily I found Pillsbury and their awesome products and their very awesome website with millions of great recipes to make my parties awesome.

We were lucky enough through My Blog Spark to get to have a awesome Pillsbury Potluck party with my friends and family. This made our family Christmas party even better. We made tons of great food with Pillsbury products and shared them with everyone and exchanged recipes and had so much fun and learned tons of great ideas for parties and dinners. Some of the awesome recipes we made with Pillsbury was a Ham & Cheese crescent ring, cresent pigs in a blanket, chocolate chip cookie sandwiches, cinnamon rolls christmas tree pull apart, mini pot pies and even sausage biscuits and gravy. Pretty Little Liars new season starts Jan. 2

I must admit when I first seen the previews to this show a while ago I didn't think I would get into it. But after watching a episode or 2 I was hooked. Pretty Little Liars is suspenseful and intriguing to watch with engaging characters. This is what got me hooked and wanted to see more and more. I can’t wait to see what the new season brings to the girls from Rosewood!!

One of my favorite episodes from season one is episode 6, “Never Letting Go,” where the girls are prepping for the Charity fashion show and discover that Allison’s mom has returned to Rosewood. It’s fun to watch the girls sitting around gabbing about boys, girls, dating, sticky lip gloss and kissing and oh yea, a serial killer who’s stalking them! Allison’s mom wants the girls to wear her gowns on the runway, in the show, as a tribute. The drama is just never ending…

NUEVA COCINA TURKEY PICADILLO CUPCAKES

Ingredients
1 lb. of ground turkey
1 package of Nueva Cocina® Picadillo Seasoning
1 teaspoon of olive oil
½ 8-oz can of tomato sauce
1 egg white
2 tablespoons of unseasoned bread crumbs
Mashed potatoes of your liking
One 6-cupcake baking tray
Cranberries or Raisins

Cooking Directions
Mix the ground turkey (uncooked) with Nueva Cocina® Picadillo seasoning, egg white, bread crumbs, and tomato sauce in a bowl until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Fully fill each of the six slightly greased cupcake holders in the tray with the mixture.

Bake in a pre-heated 400-degree oven for 15 minutes, loosely covered with aluminum paper. Take off the aluminum paper and continue to bake for another 5 minutes until the top is browned.

Let cool for 5 minutes once out of the oven or until they can be handled with bare hands.

“Frost” with your favorite mashed potatoes and place raisins or cranberries on top for decoration and added flavor. Makes 6 cupcakes

I got a a chance to try this stuff out and I must say it was heavenly. I am lucky because my husband doesn't like white chocolate so I got to eat it all myself since I hid it from the kids haha. But there is a milk chocolate bark for those who don't like white chocolate. I loved it! The chocolate was rich and creamy. I loved the golden raisins, cranberries, almonds, pecans and more.
