2 More Days.....

My mom has been very busy, so we have not been able to blog much. Only 2 more days, we hope, and our life will be back to normal.

In the meantime, here is what is going on in my CatHouse...

Chester and I are having a lot of cat fights. You can tell who is the boss, right?

Chester got a big head when everyone said he was a good dancer, so now he thinks he can "BreakDance" too.

And I have claimed Chester's new mousie toy as mine!

We can't wait to start visiting our friends again soon! We miss you!

What is Wrong with my Brother, Chester??

JB here, with a taste test of the latest stinky goodness from Fancy Feast......

Mom got me two flavors to try. These are Appetizers, sorta like my fishy flakes. Mom says I can not have them all the time, because they are very expensive, just like my fishy flakes. Seabass and Shrimp is my favorite so far, and I give it a two paws up!
Has AnyCat tried these yet?

But what is wrong with my brother, Chester?? He won't eat any stinky goodness at all! He makes a face and turns up his nose every time mom buys a new kind for him to try!

He would rather human's food, like pizza!

Or lettuce!

It's ok with me, because that's just more for me, but my mom wants to know if AnyCat out there hates stinky goodness too?

Does anyone know what is wrong with my brother, Chester??

Memories of Those That Came Before...

Today my mom and I would like to remember all the furries that came before me and Chester.....

Mom does not think she will be able to help or rescue Bear. We can't say more now, but please keep him in your prayers that he will be safe.

Bear.....mom will keep trying to do whatever she can to help you. Be strong and know how many of your friends are praying for you.

Prayer Request for Bear

We have been wanting to write about what was going on with Bear, but due to my mom's worry about the safety of Bear, we have not been able to.

We think it is time, and we ask all the DWB'ers and all our kitty and hammie friends to please pray for Bear.

We can't go into detail, for the sake of Bear's safety, but my ex-step-daddy has stooped to whole new low. We ask that you help us pray that Bear will be surrendered to my mom.

Here are the last pictures mom has of spending time with Bear on Sunday 6/7.

Mom took him to play with some new doggie friends, and mom had never seen him so happy.

Bear was running and frolicking for hours.

Bear could not believe his good fortune to meet these new pals.

Mom then took him to Petsmart and let him pick out some new toys and treats, and then took him for a walk in our neighborhood. He was so pooped out after the wonderful day he had, but oh so happy.

Then mom had to take him back to my ex-step daddy.
Bear said: "No, mom, please don't leave me here. Pleeease take me with you!"
But mom thought she did the right thing in order to not enrage my ex-step-daddy more, so she left Bear there. This was the last time mom saw Bear.

Bear was supposed to be surrendered to mom after this. This did not happen, and my ex-step-daddy relocated Bear.

Bear was gone. Mom searched and searched for Bear on all the rescue sites, and petfinder.com.

Finally she learned where he was on 6/21. To hurt Bear, to hurt my mom is just despicable.
We can not explain details now, but we ask that everyone please pray for Bear, and his safe return to my mom.

Seeing Double!

So continuing on from my last post, almost everyone chose Picture #3 as being out of place. This was the correct choice, but nobody guessed why!

The reason is that this picture is not me! This picture is of a cat named Lilly that my mom saw on petfinder.com! She is 1 year old and I am 9 years old!
Kinda makes me feel good, that I can still pass for a 1 year old!

But what I really want to know, is why was my mom looking on petfinder.com??
Isn't that where she found Chester??

(Note: Evidently, Lilly has already been adopted into a forever home.....not sure why my mom called to check on this!)

Chester! The bag says JB on it, you Hog!

Chester just has to be in the middle of everything. This bag was for ME, from Rambo and Midget Molly!

Finally after Chester had touched all my stuff first, I kicked him out and was able to get a good look inside.

What a lot of loot! This was such a great surprise! And a mousie too!

But what is that Chester doing now??

He was determined to get the mondo pack of nip open! He tried and tried to bite the package open.

I thought for a minute maybe it was my birthday again since I got such a great present, but then something hit me!

It is my mom's birthday today!

Chester and I are purraying that the second half of 2009 will be much better for you than the first half. We are here for you, mom!

Gambling, Drinking, Eating and Carrying On....

Hi, it's me, JB. I thought I was a good Special Agent, but my pals, Pedro, and Rambo and Midget Molly, found out before I did, where my mom had gone.
She went to Lost Wages!

Even though Pedro and Rambo were key in getting my mom talked into leaving me alone, they soon realized their mistake and they were going to be left alone too!

None of us were happy. Pedro was fed up with the whole situation.......

.....Rambo and Midget Molly were not fed!

....because they had to go to Pets Prison for participating in some prior suspicious activities.

But what is this?

Looks like my mom was fed well. And she met Margarita too!

And the plot thickens. Rambo's G-mom and Pedro's mom were there?

And Dana and Leah were there too??

And there was gambling with green papers? Don't our mom's know that green papers are only to be used for our snackies and toys??

Gambling, drinking, eating and lots of carrying on.......Pedro, Ram, MM and I are all very disturbed at these findings.

It bothered Chester so much when he heard, that he wanted to take a big swig from the wine that Pedro's mom gave my mom!

And then it happened. I thought only my sister Misty had known how to successfully use this tactic.
Chester gave mom "The Tail"!.....on his way over to snoopervise MY gift bag from Rambo and Midget Molly!

Chester and I are still trying to figure out where mom went last weekend. She left us the weekend before last too, for Florida, and now this!

Chester is too young to understand how upset he should be, but I think you can see the frustration on my face.

The nerve! Mom left my CatHouse for ANOTHER CatHouse? How can this be? Where did you go, mom??

I have to do a little more investigating, but I think my pals, Rambo and Pedro, had something to do with this.
I, Special Agent JB, will get to the bottom on this!

A Big Bug & ManCat in Training Floof

What's that Chester doing now?
He found a BIG bug in the house, and mom started yelling at him not to touch it!

Mom ran quickly and got the blue bug killer and sprayed it on the bug. Then she put the glass bug house over it!

Chester was very curious. He wanted the bug to come out of the glass bug house to play with him!

I just watched. I am 9 now, and I know mom never lets me play with a bug this big, because it has a really BIG stinger!

I watched as long as I could and then Chester stuck his butt floof in my face, so I could not see any more. Where DID all that floof come from, Chester? All of a sudden he grew it! I suppose he thinks he is almost a real ManCat now!

I am 9 Today, and My Mom Did Not Even Plan a Party For Me!

That's right. Today is the day that we celebrate my birthday, because we are not sure of the exact day I was born. My mom did not even plan a party for me, and I am 9 years old today!

I hope some of my friends will come over tonight and party with me. Does anyone have any niptinis or meowgaritas you can bring by? Chester can't have any yet though, because he is still too young.

Well, at least mom did order some stuff from our favorite cat store here in Dallas. A big box arrived, and Chester thought it was all for him......the nerve! Whose birthday does he think it is??

He had to immediately dive into the box looking for something to eat. He is quite the food hog, you know.

Chester did find some new food in the box, called Felidae. His foster daddy from the house he was born, told us it was healthy food, so my mom bought some for us to try. But what are those Honeysuckle things??

Mom, you can't be serious! Honeysuckle is not for me! This is preposterous! This is faux nip! Will the real nip, please come back? Has any OtherCat had to put up with this inferior herb?

Thank goodness for fishy flakes. Mom got me a mondo container, which makes me VERY happy! I must have fishy flakes at least 3 times a day!

Bear's Last Post

JB here. I am sad to report, that this will be Bear's last post on my blog. These are the last pictures my mom took of Bear about 2 weeks ago, when my ex-step-daddy still let her come to check on Bear when he was traveling. He has now forbade my mom from caring for Bear. He has been very mean to my mom, and all mom wanted to do was help.

I give you, brother Bear......

2 weeks ago: Wheeeee, whoo hoo! Mom is here! Play ball with me.....pleeeeese????

Oh yeah, LOVE this little ball. It is SO much fun!

I popped it a little, but it is still SO much fun!

I like this really big ball too. I like to herd it!

Ooooh, mom, the scritches are just heavenly! Ooooh, a little more to the left. Don't stop, don't stop!

But then it was time for mom to go again.
Mom, please don't leave again. Please.....

JB here again. It has been very sad for us at my CatHouse. My ex-step-daddy has become very angry and hateful. Bitterness will eat you up, I say. Treat others, the way you want to be treated, because....

Aahhh, smell the aroma! This is a great vintage.

TGIF to EveryCat, EveryDog and EveryHammie! I am glad it is Happy Hour!

Just a touch of peach and mandarin with some spice and fruit compote in the bouquet, and a touch of honeysuckle. Very light and refreshing for this time of year!

No Sunshine, and Whisker Study

We wanted to remember what the sunshine was like because we have not seen much of it lately. It has been cloudy and rainy for weeks!
This is a picture of me back when there was sunshine:

It shows my delicate gently curved whiskers, glistening in the sun beams. My whiskers truly are delicate, don't you think?

Then there is Chester........he wanted to take a sunbeam picture too in one of the few sunbeams he has seen his his life. But his whiskers are Boy whiskers, and they are not delicate at all. In fact, he has stray hairs sticking out all over his body!!

Please study both our sets of whiskers and tell us who has the best set!

We Live in Two Different Houses Now

Hi, it's me, Bear. Some of our friends know what has happened, but some do not.
I have been very sad, because my mom moved out of our house about a month ago, and she took that little prissy, JB, with her, and also my bestest little friend, Chester.

My mom comes to check on me when my daddy is away, but I look for her every single day, wondering why she left me. I am very sad and so lonely.

Mom, why did you leave? Can't you please come back? I miss you so much!

JB here.......yes, it is true. Chester and I don't live with Bear any more, but I will try to let him have some guest posts sometimes, if he is nice to me. We do miss him a lot.

Feelin' Fine, Fishy Flakes & FrootBat Friday!

I am happy to report, that I am back to feelin' fine and it is finally Friday!

Mom gave me some of my favorite fishy treats....nom, nom, nom. Have you ever tried Cat-Man-Doo Dried Bonito Flakes? Es MUY bonito! hee hee

Nom, nom, nom. When I was sick, I was a little afraid I had swine flu, but mom told me that cats can't catch that. I am glad because if I had to wear a mask like the humans on TV, then I would not be able to eat my fishy flakes!

Chester turned his nose up on the fishy flakes. That's ok, then all the more for me!

Silly Chester, he is starting to resemble a FrootBat this Friday!
He also would rather have human's food, than feline food!

ManCat in the Making Monday & Bloody Nose!

Hi All. Please accept our apologies for not visiting everyone so much lately. My mom/secretary has been really busy and has a lot going on.
Chester wanted to tell everyone that he is doing fine after his New Turd.

Mom told him he had to have the New Turd so he could become a big strong ManCat one day. Chester wanted to make 100% sure he becomes big and strong, so he decided to eat some spinach, just like Popeye!
Silly Chester....

As for me, I am not sure what is wrong with me. My fever went away, and I am back to normal, and eating. But early this morning, I had a little blood coming out of my nose! My mom called the vet and was told if it is just a little, then not a concern, but to keep watching me for any other problems. Mom is not sure what to think right now, and is very worried.
Has AnyCat ever had any of my symptoms?

"Fever of Unknown Origin" & V-E-T Report

Everything was fine at our house on Wednesday night, at least according to Chester.....

The usual was going on.....Chester was jumping on my back.....but the next morning, I was feeling really, really sick.

I did not let mom take a picture of me Thursday morning before we went to the V-E-T, because my furs were not very clean and pristine on my chest....but this is me after I got home from the V-E-T.

I had gotten a "fever of unknown origin" of 104! In the morning, I was drooling and lots of liquid was coming from my nose and mouth. I was so sick, and mom was so worried. I have gotten sick like this before, but this time it was really bad.
Mom rushed me to the V-E-T, along with Chester, so he could get his New Turd. I got an exam, some fluids and a shot of antibiotics AND my bloods were stolen......and yup, Chester got a New Turd.

When Chester came home from the V-E-T yesterday, he was not too happy. He had to wear a cone around his head, and he was grumbling: "This is just wrong, I tell you, wrong!"

"Mom, mom! I am choking! Help me, help me!"

"Get this thing OFF of me!"

Needless to say, the cone only lasted 2 minutes and mom had to take it off of him.
I still don't understand what a New Turd is. Chester said it was no fun at all, but he did not seem to feel any effects at all afterwards, and played the rest of the day and night!

We are both feeling better this morning, but mom will watch us closely, to make sure we are both well!

My Birth Mama Needs a Forever Home! Can Someone Please Help?

JB let me have her blog today, for a very important plea.

Of course you all know me by now. I started out life being named Dumplin' by my foster parents, who were just wonderful, by the way! My new adoptive mom calls me Chester now.

This is my gorgeous twin sister, and her name is Sugar! We started out life as Sugar and Dumplin'! She got adopted by our foster parents, and has two older CatSisters now....and I have one older CatSister, JB.
Both of us would like to make this plea to all bloggers to see if anyone can help our birth mama, Gaia.

This is Gaia. She gave birth to 6 of us kittens on 11/17/08, at our foster parents house. Gaia cared for us, and loved us, and let us drink lots of milk!

Gaia is a very beautiful LadyCat! My adoptive mom met her and noticed how loving and affectionate she was and how much she purred!

All 6 of us kittens grew and grew as days went by.....

Gaia took care of us to make sure we were all healthy, happy and she let us drink lots more milk!

Gaia also made sure we all had a very Merry Christmas together as a family!

Soon we were big enough to start eating on our own, and we all loved each other very much. One day, Gaia told us it was time........

She told us it was time for all of us to get adopted to new forever homes. Both Sugar and I said, "No, mama, no! We want to be with you!"
Gaia said, "No, it is time. I must let you go now."

And so it was....all 6 of us kittens were adopted into wonderful forever homes......except for our mama, Gaia.

Today, Gaia still lives at our foster parents' home, and sometimes has to stay in a cage. Sugar talks to our mama, and tries to comfort her in her sadness. Our foster parents would love to adopt her, but they have already adopted 3 rescues, and my mama says would like more personal one-on-one attention.
She is now spayed, microchipped, FeLV negative and up to date on all her shots, and is two years old. Please CLICK HERE for her "Animal Allies of Texas" listing for more information on how to adopt Gaia, our birth mama.
