2012 Shelby GT350 Convertible

Shelby is expanding the 2012 Shelby GT350 lineup by adding a convertible version (the first since 1970) and two new body colours (Race Red and Kona Blue).

Under its skin the 2012 Shelby GT350 Convertible remains the same as the hard top model, meaning it will offer customers the ability of choosing between a normally aspirated 430 HP engine , or 525 HP and 624 HP supercharged units.

The 2012 Shelby GT350 is being showcased at the Chicago Auto Show these days, and the hard to version together with the convertible model will be produced in a limited series of a total of 350 exemplars.

Shelby American, a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. today introduced the limited edition 2012 Shelby GT350 during the Chicago Auto Show, being held at the McCormick Place complex. A convertible, the first since 1970, and two new body colors (red and blue) will be options for the 2012 model year. In addition, a limited production of 350 total 2012 Shelby GT350s will be built.

"Last year, we brought back the GT350 45 years after it was launched," said Carroll Shelby, founder of Shelby American. "They look and sound just like the ones we built in 1965. We're repeating history by offering two additional colors and building a few convertibles for the second year of production."

2012 Honda Civic Concept Unveiled

The 9th generation 2012 Honda Civic was previewed as a concept, in both sedan and coupe body styles at this year's NAIAS, and now the Japanese company has releases photos and details with the production model which will hit the market in spring.

Besides the Si, the 2012 Honda Civic lineup has been extended with two now models, and these are the Civic HF and Civic Hybrid, which both promise fuel consumption figures above 40 mpg on the highway.

The 2012 Honda Civic HF is equipped with a 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine delivering 140 HP through a five-speed automatic gearbox, and will be the most fuel efficient gasoline power model in the entire lineup.

On the 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid power is get extracted from a 110 HP 1.5-litre i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor and backed by a lithium-ion battery. In this case power is sent to the wheels via a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) transmission and estimated consumption is 45 mpg/combined cycle.

2012 Honda Civic Hybrid and HF Photos

Both the 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid and HF feature the ECO Assist technology.

On the 2012 Honda Civic Si, the automaker has fitted a 2.4-litre i-VTECH 4-cylinder unit producing 200 HP and 170 lb-ft of torque. This version comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and is expected to deliver 31 mpg highway.

Aston Martin decided to revive the Viragename with a 2012 model which will be available in coupe and cabriolet forms and which will debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show next week.

According to the British car maker the 2012 Aston Martin Virage features 'the highest levels of refinement and dynamic control yet' and completes their sporting GT line-up by sitting between the DBS and DB9.

Both the 2012 Aston Martin Virage Coupe and Volante are powered by the automaker's 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 490 bhp (365 kW/497 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque which is matched to a 6-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission mounted on the transaxle in order to achieve the perfect 50:50 weight balance.

The 2012 Aston Martin Virage performance figures indicate that accelerating from 0 to 100 Km/h takes 4.6 seconds, while the maximum speed that can be reached is 299 Km/h.

Some of the features on the 2012 Aston Martin Virage include a newly developed Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with five available stiffness settings, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes as standard.

The 2012 Aston Martin Virage price was not announced yet, but this ew model is expected to go on sale shorty after is premiere in Geneva.

The 2010 Seat Leon Cupra R price was just announced, and the company's most powerful production car will be available for ordering in the UK starting from April 1st.

The 2010 Seat Leon Cupra R accommodates a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol unit under its bonnet that produces 265 PS and 350 Nm of torque, enough to make it accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed 155 mph.

As far as changes on the 2010 Seat Leon Cupra R model, some of the improvements include various styling modifications both at the exterior as well as the interior, like the centrally places twin exhaust pipes, the new rear spoiler or the 19 inch Potenza alloys.

The 2010 Seat Leon Cupra R price starts at 25,205 GBP and the Spanish sports car is Euro 5 compliant as CO2 emission levels are at just 190 g per Km.

Prices and specifications for the facelift version 2011 Chevrolet Captiva, which will arrive in showrooms across UK in May, have been announced.

In the UK the 2011 Chevrolet Captiva is available with two engine options,both featuring the new 2.2-litre diesel engine, with power rated ad either 163 PS or 184 PS. The 163 PS model uses a 6-speed manual while the more powerful version will offer a choice between manual or auto 6-speed.

There are three equipment grades for the 2011 Chevrolet Captiva - LS, LT and LTZ, with the entry-level LS model featuring 5-seats, plus ESC, Bluetooth, speed sensitive power steering, electrical folding mirrors, 6-speaker CD system with MP3 compatibility, remote central locking, roof rails, 17 inch alloys, and power windows as standard.

The Infiniti M35h price was announced, as the company's hybrid saloon goes on sale at dealerships across UK starting from April.

With a total of 364 PS (359 bhp) generated by its 302 bhp 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine linked to the 57 bhp electric motor, the Infiniti M35h is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. The car uses a two-clutch layout and in terms of consumption, it is able to return 40.4 mpg (combined cycle), with a touring range of around 750 miles, and has CO2 emissions of 162 grams per Km.

The Infiniti M35h is also equipped with a high output lithium-ion battery, regenerative braking and an audible pedestrian safety system, and when it runs by using just electricity, the car is able to travel at speeds of up to 62 mph.
