Músicos sonham em ganhar exposições nessas revistas e todo mundo as conhece pelo nome, mas conseguir exposição pode ser difícil para um artista em começo de carreira. Jornalistas e blogueiros são inundados por artistas que querem aparecer nas publicações.

Há um misto de arte com ciência em conseguir sair na imprensa, algo que os artistas que estão começando muitas vezes não entendem. Você deve ter entrado em contato com a imprensa e depois ter ficado se perguntando por que nada aconteceu. Será que está cometendo um desses oito erros?

1. VOCÊ NÃO TEM UMA HISTÓRIA PARA CONTAR:

Ser um artista emergente com um single novinho em folha não é uma história nova. Há milhares de artistas lançando música todos os dias.

Os jornalistas querem contar uma história interessante que o seu público vai querer ler. Conte a história por trás de sua música, talvez você tenha um processo criativo especial ou uma ligação com um artista famoso.

Pense em ângulos únicos de como contar sua história, e então, a ofereça.

2. VOCÊ OFERECE MAL A SUA HISTÓRIA:

Não basta ter uma história. É preciso ter uma boa história. Sua história tem de ser boa o suficiente para entrar nas páginas de uma revista e ser relevante para os leitores.

Uma boa sugestão de pauta não é auto-centrada. A imprensa não está lá para divulgar a sua música, a obrigação deles é com o público.

Antes de você mandar a sua sugestão de pauta para o veículo, pergunte de si mesmo: Quem se importa? Se você conseguir responder a essa pergunta, volte a mesa de trabalho e crie uma sugestão.

3. NÃO HÁ BURBURINHO:

Essa é uma pegadinha. A divulgação vai te ajudar a criar um burburinho, mas você já precisa ter seguidores antes dos jornalistas te notarem.

Um jornalista vai conferir suas páginas nas mídias sociais e site para checar se você tem uma fan base.

Foque em enganjar os seus fãs com consistência, online e offline, antes de entrar em contato com a imprensa.

4. SUA MÚSICA NÃO TEM APELO PARA OS LEITORES DA PUBLICAÇÃO:

O gosto musical de uma pessoa é subjetiva, mas a música deve prender a atenção dos jornalistas. Tem de ser inovadora, pegajosa ou única.

Um jornalista não vai escrever sobre você se achar que seu som não fala com os seus leitores.

Teste sua música no público alvo da revista e em pessoas do mercado fonográfico, para achar um single que funcione.

5. VOCÊ ESTÁ USANDO MÚSICAS VELHAS:

A música do seu último EP ou mix tape já é velharia. Jornalistas querem fazer matérias sobre novos sons. Grave materiais frescos, construa uma boa história ao redor dele e venda isso.

6. VOCÊ PRECISA DE FOTOS DE DIVULGAÇÃO NOVAS:

Selfies feitas com seu smartphone mostram que tipo de artista você é? Sua imagem importa.

Arranje umas fotos decentes em alta resolução, para mandar para a imprensa.

7. VOCÊ NÃO TEM SHOWS MARCADOS:

Essa é ligada ao item 3.

Os jornalistas querem ver se você tema algo rolando na sua carreira. Fazer shows com frequência, que levem pessoas para casas de show, pode ser uma dessas coisas. Faça uma turnê curta de divulgação e avise a imprensa.

8. VOCÊ NÃO CULTIVOU RELACIONAMENTOS:

Pode ser que você não tenha verba para contratar um relações públicas que tenha uma ótima relação com editores, mas você mesmo pode construir seus relacionamentos.

Leia as matérias que eles publicam e descubra que tipo de música os interessa. Siga-os nas mídias sociais. Entre em contato com eles.

Se você se esforçar para criar relacionamentos, é mais provável que os editores deem uma notícia sobre você.

5. YOU ARE USING OLD MUSIC:

The music from your last EP or mix tape is old. Journalists want to make stories about new sounds. Tape fresh materials, build a good story around it and sell it.
6. YOU NEED NEW DISCLOSURE PHOTOS:

Self made with your smartphone show what kind of artist are you? Your image matters.

Get some decent photos in high resolution to send to the press.
7. YOU DO NOT HAVE SHOWS MARKED:

Journalists want to see if you have something going on in your career. Frequent shows that take people to show houses can be one of those things. Take a short tour of outreach and let the press know.
8. YOU DID NOT CREATE RELATIONSHIPS:

You may not have the money to hire a public relations person who has a good relationship with editors, but you can build your relationships yourself.

Read the articles they publish and find out what kind of music interests them. Follow them on social media. Please contact them.

If you strive to create relationships, editors are more likely to come up with news about you.

Hello Galera!

É muito bom estar compartilhando de minhas experiências com vocês, pois sei que posso estar ajudando alguém com meus posts.

O post de hoje será uma reflexão que tive após o evento do último dia 11/03/17, que foi - O 2º Encontro de Bateristas de Manaus - um evento épico que ficou para a história da cidade e contou com 81 bateristas e sem falar na multidão que se aglomerou para vislumbrar a beleza do evento.

Tocando com todo aquele cenário, Orquestra Amazonas Filarmônica, 81 bateristas, de níveis diversos, vendo todo aquele público nos prestigiando, para mim realmente foi algo sem palavras. Momento ímpar que me fez conhecer novas pessoas, trocar diversas experiências, ver o jeito que cada um expressa a sua musicalidade através da bateria e é claro... me fez olhar para trás e ver o quanto coisas em minha caminhada foram e são importantes para mim até hoje.

Já estudei com vários professores de bateria, de música, enfim... todos puseram em mim a sua forma de pensar, a sua forma de agir e realmente me influenciaram de uma certa maneira, foram pessoas impressindíveis que pegaram em minha mão e me fizeram andar. Mas nos meus 17 anos como professor de música e bateria, não posso esquecer de cada aluno que passou por minha mão e que acrescentou um pouco do seu jeito de aprender música em minha vida.

Agradeço a esses personagens que foram notórios em minha vida, pois Deus os colocou para me fazer aprender vários caminhos que pude tomar para passar ao outro esse lindo dom da música que é tocar bateria.

No evento falei com vários bateristevas, uns que eu já conhecia, outros que me conheciam pela internet ou até mesmo de ouvirem falar e que me trataram com muita felicidade, ponto que me deixou bastante feliz e enriquecido de saber que existem pessoas que torcem por meu sucesso de alguma forma. Pude ver que minha atenção para com todos foi ímpar, única, sem comparação, porque sei que independente de onde eu estiver, de qual posto eu esteja, a minha atenção para com o próximo sempre a mesma.

Isso me faz crescer, me faz quer voar mais alto, me faz querer compartilhar do que aprendi, me faz realmente eu ser mais humano e só agradeço a todos os meus familiares, amigos, fãs, professores e alunos por existirem, porque todos me ajudaram a chegar aonde eu cheguei.

Saber da existência dessas pessoas é algo que jamais sairá do meu coração e da minha mente.

Viva a música e viva ao crescimento musical dentro de nós.

Hello guys!

It's great to be sharing my experiences with you, as I know I can be helping someone with my posts.

Today's post will be a reflection I had after the event of 03.11.17, which was - The 2nd Manaus Drummers Meeting - an epic event that stayed for the history of the city and had 81 drummers and without speaking In the crowd that crowded to glimpse the beauty of the event.

Playing with all that scenery, Orquestra Amazonas Filarmônica, 81 drummers, of different levels, seeing all that audience in the prestige, for me really was something without words. Odd moment that made me meet new people, exchange various experiences, see the way each one expresses their musicality through the drums and of course ... made me look back and see how much things in my walk were and are important for Me to this day.

I've studied with several teachers of drums, of music, anyway ... everyone put in me their way of thinking, their way of acting and they really influenced me in a certain way, they were unavoidable people who took my hand and made me floor. But in my 17 years as a music teacher and drummer, I can not forget every student who passed by my hand and who added a little of his way of learning music in my life.

I thank those characters that were notorious in my life, because God put them to make me learn many ways that I could take to pass to the other this beautiful gift of music that is playing drums.

In the event I spoke with several drummers, some that I already knew, others who knew me on the Internet or even heard me and who treated me with great happiness, a point that made me very happy and enriched to know that there are people who cheer for me Success in some way. I could see that my attention to everyone was unique, unique, without comparison, because I know that regardless of where I am, where I stand, my attention to the other it's always the same.

It makes me grow, makes me want to fly higher, makes me want to share what I learned, it really makes me more human and I only thank all my family, friends, fans, teachers and students for being there because everyone helped me To arrive where I arrived.

Knowing the existence of these people is something that will never leave my heart and mind.

15 coisas que aprendi DEPOIS da escola de música - 15 things I learned AFTER the music school

A escola da vida dura bem mais do que os quatro anos de graduação. E ensina muito mais também. Um colega músico bem-sucedido conta as 15 coisas mais importantes que aprendeu depois de ter se formado.

Não há uma ordem de prioridade nessa lista, e todos os itens deveriam ser número 1, porque são muito importantes.

1. Divirta-se e sorria!

As pessoas vão te contratar mais se você for boa companhia.

2. Guarde os nomes das pessoas, porque todo mundo é importante.

Essa dica entra na categoria de fazer networking e alimentar relacionamentos. E também olhe nos olhos das pessoas com quem estiver falando. As pessoas não devem ser tratadas melhor ou pior baseado no fato de se podem ou não te ajudar na carreira. Todo mundo deveria ser tratado com o mesmo respeito. Você também nunca sabe se uma pessoa pode te indicar para um trabalho.

3. Preserve seus relacionamentos e preserve-os intactos.

O que os olhos não veem o coração não sente. Eu ainda trabalho com umas pessoas da faculdade e, acredite ou não, com colegas do ensino médio!

4. Descole um contador ótimo para declarar seus impostos, e tenha um advogado de confiança para ler seus contratos antes de assinar.

Você sempre pode baixar o valor, mas nem sempre consegue aumentar depois de ter assinado.

5. Ensaiar é um luxo.

Se você consegue se dar a esse luxo, aproveite. Quando você está na escola, ensaia o tempo todo (eles exigem muito ensaio, mas daí no mundo de verdade não tem mais tempo para isso). Não é que deixa de acontecer para sempre, mas passa a acontecer bem menos.

6. Não tenha medo do fracasso.

As coisas são instantâneas. Não se deixa combalir facilmente. Muitos dos músicos que conseguem fazer sucesso podem nem ser os mais talentosos em tocar o instrumento, mas foram os mais determinados. E eles erraram muito, e aprenderam com os erros.

7. Cuide do seu corpo, que também é seu instrumento.

Descole um plano de saúde e vá ao médico fazer checkups.

8. Você tem de conhecer um pouquinho programas de gravação.

Isso pode incluir Pro-Tools, Logic, ou mesmo Garage Band.

9. Aprenda a cantar.

Saber cantar melodias simples, ou mesmo só “óoooos” e “aaaas”, enquanto você toca, vai te conseguir mais contratações—ainda mais se a decisão estiver entre você e outro ótimo músico, mas que não sabe cantar.

10. Guarde tudo e salve sempre.

Isso vale para documentos, tipo contratos, partituras de música, livros teóricos etc. E também vale para computadores. Se estiver usando programas como Finale ou Sibelius, ou mesmo um arquivo de Word, salve a cada cinco minutos.

11. Redes sociais são uma porta entre você e o mundo.

Tenha um trinco para trancar essa porta e saiba o que está fazendo ao atravessar esse portal.

12. Nenhum trampo dura para sempre.

Todos os trampos terminam uma hora por causa de uma circunstância ou outra. Uma casa de shows fecha. Uma turnê acaba. Alguém pede demissão, a banda se separa. Alguém morre. Você se cansa de tocar sempre a mesma coisa. Você tem filhos. Aparece outro negócio melhor. Não importa quão boa ou ruim seja uma situação, ela vai chegar ao fim.

13. O que acontece fora do palco é tão importante quanto (às vezes mais) do que acontece no palco.

Se você é um ótimo artista de palco, que sabe todas as notas de cor e consegue tocar um solo invertido, que bom. Entretanto, isso tudo pode ir por água abaixo se você não tiver organizadas as coisas fora do palco.

14. É importante também chegar no horário (adiantado).

Saber tocar suas músicas antes do show, dar um tapa no visual com frequência e estar sempre limpinho, vestir-se com roupas de acordo com o show e tratar a todos com respeito e educação. Você tocar muito bem não te torna algo acima de um humano.

15. Aprenda os negócios da música.

A música é uma forma de arte, mas também é um meio de conduzir negócios. Você deveria aprender os rudimentos de como administrar um negócio. Isso inclui contratos, marketing e divulgação, como fazer sites e páginas de redes sociais, dar às pessoas tempo suficiente para reagir a informações que você passou, como declarar seus impostos etc. Há outros aspectos do mercado fonográfico, como royalties, sindicatos, publicação e licenciamento, entre outros, que é bom conhecer.

Olá galera!

Esse fim de semana realmente foi surpreendente... os bateristas estão tomando conta da cidade de Manaus-AM e para mim isso é apenas o começo.

No último dia 11/03/17 tivemos o II Econtro de Bateristas de Manaus, o qual foi realmente um espetáculo épico.

Muitas surpresas abrilhantaram o dia a começar com a chegada de bateristas que surgiram de todos os lugares, bateristas que nem sabíamos que existiam e sabe o que aconteceu? Quebramos o record da primeira edição do Encontro de Bateristas.

Na primeira edição tivemos 42 bateristas presentes tocando um repertório variado que por sinal causou um grande universo nostálgico cheio de brilho e musicalidade.

Nesta segunda edição tivemos 81 bateristas presentes e mais a surpresa juntamente com a Orquestra Amazonas Filarmônica com a regência do Maestro Marcelo de Jesus. Realmente foi surpreendente.

Muitos ouvintes e amantes da boa música estavam presente vislumbrando esse grande espetáculo cercado do nosso cartão postal - O Teatro Amazonas.

Tivemos a presença de grandes músicos que contribuíram com sua musicalidade para que esse grande espetáculo manauara acontecesse que são:

Grandiosa Experiência

Hello guys!

This weekend really was amazing ... the drummers are overpower in the city of Manaus, AM and for me this is just the beginning.

On 03.11.17, we had the 2nd Manaus Drummers Meeting, which was really an epic show. Many surprises brightened the day with the arrival of the drummers who came from everywhere; drummers we did not even know existed. Do you know what happened? We broke the record of the first edition of the Meeting of the Drummers.

In the first edition we had 42 drummers present playing a varied repertoire that by the way caused a great nostalgic universe full of brilliance and musicality.

In this second edition we had 81 drummers present and adding the surprise of the Amazon Philharmonic Orchestra who joined the event conducted by the Maestro Marcelo de Jesus. It really was amazing. Many listeners and lovers of good music were present glimpsing this great spectacle surrounded by our landmark building - The Amazonas Theater.

We had the presence of great musicians who contributed with their musicality, who made this great spectacle of Manauara possible. They are:

Quer você esteja compondo ou gravando múeicas, as ferramentas disponíveis para músicos hoje em dia podem abrir um mundo de novas possibilidades. Mas com esse mar de opções quase sem fim pode vie uma ansiedade terrível: e você fica apavorado de algo finalmente estar PRONTO.

- Você fica pensando e mudando as coisas sem parar?
- Você se pega separando 25 vocais diferentes e falando “eu penso nisso depois”?
- Você faz mixagens diferentes, para ter a versão acústica, a versão chique, a versão dance e depois não consegue decidir qual colocar no álbum?
- Você está atrás do Cálice Sagrado sonoro?

Nós, artistas, entendemos rapidamente que a arte que fazemos dificilamente vai ser tão bonita, tão importante, tão impressionante, tão grande quanto a ideia inicial que nos levou a criar.
Ninguém quer enlouquecer numa jornada louca, perseguindo cada palavra da letra, cada textura do som e cada frase atrás de um buraco negro do qual você nunca vai voltar. Mas também, não queremos ser meros operários, tão desapegados do nosso trabalho criativo que fazemos músicas mais pela técnica do que pela paixão.
Quando decidir que uma coisa “já basta”? Lembra quanto tempo demorou para o Axl Rose terminar ‘Chinese Democracy’? Nesse caso, se ele tivesse dado um “já basta” antes, provavelmente teria sido melhor do que a busca pela perfeição.

Aqui vão algumas dicas que irão ajudar a lidar com a ansiedade:

1) Seja produtivo.
Ter sempre um punhado de canções quase prontas no arquivo ajuda a não me sentir muito pressionado quando tenho de terminar uma. Assim, eu não fico estressado em ter de ficar em cima de uma delas até estar perfeita. Assim, eu posso trabalhar num trecho, numa frase ou numa melodia de qualquer uma dessas músicas, a que eu estiver com vontade no momento. E também, quando for a hora para você gravar, você terá mais músicas do que precisa e pode escolher suas prediletas.

2) Vá para o estúdio.
Sabe-se que isso é impeditivo para alguns, por causa do dinheiro envolvido, e restringe a criatividade de outros. Mas, nitidamente, sempre funciona. Consegue-se ser razoavelmente rápido e eficiente em um estúdio, se houver preparo suficiente e principalmente quando se tem em mente algumas ideias de produção antes de chegar lá. E o fato de estar gastando dinheiro para estar lá ajuda a focar nas coisas.
A outra vantagem desse método é sobre tempo: você vai ter de pedir para a sua banda (ou seus músicos de apoio) que reservem uns dias nos seus calendários. Deem conta da música em uma semana, duas semanas, ou o tempo que for necessário. Mas poupe-se de ter de fazer em um dia, dois ou três o trabalho que pode fazer aos poucos em um ano todo.

3) Estabeleça seus parâmetros antes de apertar o botão gravando.
Tenha uma visão clara do que quer, e não uma impressão vaga e de qualquer horizonte.
Crie regras arbitrárias para guiar o seu processo. Coisas como:
“Eu só vou ter 4 instrumentos tocando em cada música.”
“Este álbum não vai ter backing vocals.” “Cada música deste álbum pode ter metais ou instrumentos de corda, mas não os dois.”
“Tudo, menos os vocais, será feito pelos mesmos músicos.”
Essas regras vão evitar que você se perca. Você pode sempre mudar de ideia se você PRECISAR, para colocar um corinho de igreja no fundo da terceira faixa.

4) Pense na gravação como o começo do ciclo de divulgação da sua música.
Sabe-se que isso pode parecer um pouco… estratégico. Mas não se preocupe tanto com pureza. Você vai ter a mesma quantidade de diversão ou de frustração gravando seu álbum de qualquer jeito. Mas pensar no álbum como algo que eventualmente terá de ser mostrado para o mundo vai ajudar a focar seus esforços na qualidade dele.
As faixas do álbum têm de estar definidas até junho. Gravadas até agosto. Masterizadas até setembro. A arte tem de estar completa até setembro. Na prensa até dezembro. Os materiais de divulgação têm de estar prontos até janeiro. As resenhas começam a sair em março, para coincidir com o começo da sua turnê e assim por diante.
A gravação da música começa esse processo, e seu comprometimento com a estratégia de divulgação vão te ajudar a completar o álbum.

5) Ouça a opinião das pessoas que conhecem você e sua música.
Você pode ter vergonha de um solo de guitarra não muito bom e querer tirá-lo do seu som. Alguém que você respeita pode dizer “Que massa! Não mude nada. Esse som é visceral e maravilhoso! Deixe ele assim!”
Se você for seu próprio crítico mais ferrenho, encontre alguém de fora para ser seus ouvidos. Talvez essa pessoa diga que já chega. E daí já chega.

4) Think of recording as the beginning of the cycle of spreading your music.

5) Listen to the opinion of people who know you and your music.

O músico profissional precisa ter 5 características (sem contar tocar bem, que isso é o mínimo esperado): a gente listou elas e defendeu por que cada uma delas é essencial para sua carreira ir muito além

Ser músico é incrível. É quase um crime que as pessoas possam ser pagas para tocar. Mas, assim como o crime, a música não costuma compensar. Para conseguir fazer as apresentações que pagam, e continuar conseguindo outras delas, o músico precisa exalar uma confiança e uma confiabilidade que são menos glamorosas do que a vida sexy de um rock star. Pode parecer que essas qualidades são óbvias para um músico profissional, mas você ficaria surpreso de ver quantas divas por aí não as respeitam.

1) Siga bem as recomendações.

Já que a maioria dos músicos ganha a vida tocando para outras pessoas, eles precisam ser bons em fazer o que essas pessoas querem. Se essa frase parece meio genérica, bom, ela é genérica. Quer você seja contratado para tocar num casamento, escrever um jingle, tocar com uma banda, ser um músico de estúdio, tocar em um musical da Broadway (ou no teatro do seu bairro), você tem de ser bom em seguir recomendações, pedidos e ordens.

Na maioria das vezes, essas recomendações são dadas de maneira incompetente por pessoas que não entendem de música, mas o músico profissional deve saber traduzir qualquer tipo de pedido, e rápido, sem ficar frustrado e deixando o cliente feliz. Em outras situações você vai receber ordens diretas e rápidas de um diretor musical que sabe exatamente o que quer, e sua capacidade de se adaptar rápido é essencial. Nesse tipo de comunicação, não há espaço para fazer perguntas. Se sair bem nesse tipo de situação vai te conseguir recomendações, que vão te conseguir mais trabalho.

2) Seja bem organizado.

Trocando em miúdos, tenha um calendário e saiba medir o tempo. Não há nada mais frustrante do que atrasos. Num mundo em que um monte de músicos aceitam tocar por R$ 50, para pagar as contas no fim do mês, os horários costumam ser loucões. Todo mundo está tentando encaixar uma aula com um ensaio e ainda fazer um show à noite. Mas, se você não der conta de tudo e se atrasar para onde deve estar, vai perder trabalho. Simples assim.

Além do mais, você também provavelmente vai ter de saber uma quantidade grande de músicas. Muitos músicos tocam com várias bandas, e daí precisam saber de cor as suas próprias canções e as dos grupos que os contrataram, além de bons covers para casamentos ou festas de firma. Armazenar tanta música na sua cabeça fica mais fácil conforme você for treinando, mas no começo você vai ter de aprender a se organizar. O Matt Baldoni, um guitarrista freelancer de muito sucesso, escreveu um texto sobre como memorizar músicas rapidamente.

Há entre os músicos um ditado que é mais ou menos assim:

Um amador treina até acertar, um profissional treina até nunca errar.

3) Ter boas capacidades de comunicação.

Quando for lidar com pessoas que não entendem nada de música e sabem muito pouco sobre esse mercado, você vai ter de saber conduzir a conversa. Sugira coisas, esboce contratos e saiba dizer o que você merece, sem ficar parecendo um ganancioso. Não seja orgulhoso demais para perguntar o que quer saber.

No outro polo possível, você vai lidar com outros músicos. Apareça já no primeiro ensaio com todas as músicas prontas. Se for o seu show ou se você for o diretor musical, tenha sua música bem escrita e formatada num programa tipo Finale ou Sibelius. As partituras têm de mostrar a trilha da melodia com precisão (refrãos, divisão silábica, etc.). Se você quiser que os outros músicos aprendam a música a partir de um CD ou MP3s, entregue a eles as faixas corretas e avise se houver mudanças de tom ou abreviações que não estão na gravação. Esses cuidados vão fazer o primeiro ensaio correr o mais suave o possível.

4) Tocar bem com outros.

Isso não precisaria ser dito, mas você ficaria surpreso se não soubesse. Você não só deveria saber tocar que nem um monstro, você também deve saber diminuir seu tom e saber tocar o que os outros querem de você. Usando um estereótipo, os guitarristas são conhecidos por colocar os amplificadores no som máximo e nunca mais calarem a boca. Os cantores ficam pasmando quando não estão cantando e perdem suas deixas para entrar na música. Os bateristas fazem barulho demais. Quem toca metais não ouve os colegas, e daí o coletivo fica com um som desleixado. Isso tudo é o básico da música, mas há quem não preste atenção.

É muito importante que você mande bem no seu solo, é mais importante que você consiga se misturar bem com os outros músicos ou consiga apoiar outro músico no seu solo. Tocar com bom-gosto e conseguir entregar um produto completo vai te fazer conseguir mais shows do que quebrar tudo sozinho.

5) Prepare-se para o trabalho

Por fim, a grande diferença entre um profissional e os demais é o preparo. E isso é igual em todos as áreas. Um vendedor profissional deve conhecer bem seu produto. Uma marqueteira profissional deve conhecer seu público-alvo. Um faxineiro deve saber que produtos usar para limpar mármore. Da mesma maneira, um músico deve aparecer para o show com os instrumentos certos, vestido adequadamente e preparado para tocar certo todas as músicas. Deixa eu repetir uma parte disso. Um músico profissional se veste de maneira adequada. Não importa qual seja o tipo de show, você tem de ter uma roupa adequada. Havaianas são uma má ideia, a não ser que você vá usar uma saia de ráfia.

Em suma, se você quer se estabelecer como um músico profissional, dê um passo para trás e olhe para essas cinco características. A música é um mercado cheio de competitividade, e tocar bem seu instrumento é só o primeiro passo para se tornar um músico profissional. Os trabalhos não param e o ano de 2017 promete!

A Drumbeat está com novidades para a Orquestra de Baterias e também com lançamento do Drumbeat Project - logo mais detalhes...

Estou fazendo parte das bandas amazonenses Hawake e Katharzian que neste já estão se programando para o lançamento dos seus primeiros álbuns.
Um momento ímpar pra mim, pois compor, arranjar é o que eu mais gosto de fazer além de lecionar. Trabalhando também como sideman tenho dado suporte às bandas Super Size e Scarface, ambas de Manaus-AM também, no qual tem sido muito boa a expeirência, pois ambas trabalham com linguagens musicais totalmente diferentes.

Em falar em lecionar nesse mês de fevereiro estarei ministrando um workshop de bateria abordando assuntos concernentes ao rock e metal juntamente com o meu parceiro Andrio Dias no Estúdio Supersônico em Manaus-AM. Será um tmepo muito bom de aprendizagem e crescimento na música, pois afinal, a música é para todos!

Quero agradecer a todos que têm acompanhado o meu trabalho e peço desculpas pela extensa demora quanto as postagens.

Hello galera!!!

Depois de um tempo parado nas postagens, volto com mais uma novidade para vocês.

Neste mês de julho iremos receber um grande e épico evento que jamais aconteceu na cidade de Manaus-AM que é o 1º Encontro de Bateristas que acontecerá no dia 23/07/16 no Parque dos Bilhares situado na Avenida Constantino Nery próximo ao Millenium Shopping.

Este evento tem a idealização do meu parceiro, o renomado baterista amazonense Neto Antunes em parceria com a Nagano Drums, que é um incentivador de projetos culturais dentro da região norte.

O evento visa incorporar dentro da cidade à prática aplicada do instrumento Bateria com a performance de vários bateristas tocando e interagindo ao mesmo tempo como uma sinfonia orquestrada e que tem a intenção de alcançar o número de 40 bateristas participantes.

Em conjunto com o projeto a Orquestra de Baterias também irá participar e prestigiará o evento com seus bateristas.

Conto com a presença de todos.

Para àqueles que querem participar, basta estarem no horário agendado com suas baterias e com o repertório pronto.

Bom, ultimamente muitas coisas boas estão acontecendo em meu dia a dia e isso tem influenciado de forma gradativa em minha vida. Muitos projetos, muitos trabalhos, muitos objetivos a serem alcançados, enfim...

Aos sábados estou com os alunos da Orquestra de Bateria cujas aulas estão acontecendo no Estúdio Supersônico do meu grande parceiro Beto Montrezol.

O curso é a preparação para os alunos que irão participar deste grande projeto musical que irá enriquecer o cenário cultural da cidade de Manaus-AM.

Teoria Musical e Leitura Rítmica têm feito parte do nosso cotidiano desde quando começamos as aulas dia 23/04/16 e que irão até o dia 14/05/16.

Nesse último domingo 01/05/16 aconteceu o Primeiro Masterclass Friends and Drummers. Um projeto criado pelo meu amigo Thiago Taylor e que tem contado com boas parcerias.

O evento ocorreu no Estúdio Rota 55 aqui em Manaus-AM do grande amigo e parceiro Ronaldo Souza que cedeu toda a estrutura e não deixou nada a desejar para um estúdio de ensaio e produções musicais.

O Masterclass contou com grandes bateras locais que demonstraram todo o empenho em prol do projeto executando de forma impecável seus trabalhos musicais.

Abri o evento com 2 músicas do Nekrost intituladas Point of Creation e Hypnotized do álbum The Dark Path 2014 trazendo um pouco do metal para os ouvintes contando um pouco da minha história, minhas influências dentro do universo da bateria, exercícios de coordenação motora para os pés, controle e domínio do pedal duplo, uso do metrônomo, dicas de composição musical, arranjos e gravação.

Lucas Pinheiro um baterista novo com muita influência do funk americano, pop, shuffle com aplicações de viradas e grooves lineares a lá David Garibald e Steve Gadd executando músicas covers americanas demonstrando toda sua musicalidade no instrumento.

Neto Antunes (endorsement Nagano Drums e Orion Cymbals) demonstrou seu som passeando nos ritmos de guarânia, samba partido alto, pop, funk americano, vaneira (ritmo do norte) e arrocha, com play alongs e acompanhado por um baixista que cumpriu o seu chamado.

E ao final do evento houve uma jam session com todos os bateristas presentes.

Todos que participaram desse evento estão de parabéns e que venham outros e não só aqui em Manaus, mas também em todo o Brasil.

A lDrumbeat vem com um projeto inovador e diversificado para todos que almejam estar em um nível musical diferenciado que é a Orquestra de Baterias.

Voltado para o aprimoramento do estudo musical baseado na teoria e leitura rítmica a Orquestra de Baterias tem a função de formar o músico baterista e amantes do instrumento aptos para performances ao vivo de forma disciplinada, objetiva e musical com temas escritos em 4 vozes trabalhando a teoria do contraponto, arranjos rítmicos, aplicação de grooves e convenções.

O objetivo do projeto é trazer uma nova concepção cultural para a cidade de Manaus-AM, reunir sua classe rítmica e principalmente massificar o estudo formal da música que só tem a acrescer dentro do meio.

Já com a primeira turma, a lDrumbeat disponibilizou aulas gratuitas de Teoria Musical e Leitura Rítmica que ocorrerão em parceria com o estúdio Supersônico,

No último dia 04/03/16 foi um momento realmente sem palavras sobre o público do metal, tenho a plena certeza de que os headbangers de plantão ficaram muito agradecidos pelo grande evento que foi o Maorocks Festival 2016 no Teatro Direcional no Manauara Shopping em Manaus.

O festival contou com as bandas Evil Syndicate, Eutanase, Nekrost e Krisiun apresentando o melhor do metal brasileiro.

Quero agradecer de antemão a todo o apoio dos bangers, produtores, irmãos de banda e a equipe de bombeiros que prestou socorro a mim pelo susto que passei no show do Nekrost logo no fim da última música - "All my hate" - ao desmaiar devido ao calor que não consegui suportar. Houve uma baixa de pressão ocasionando uma tontura forte. Eu não consegui manter o controle da situação, mesmo tentando para seguir com o show.

Realmente foi um susto, mas já estou providenciando os cuidados necessários para o ocorrido e mais uma vez agradeço de todo o coração pelo público que aplaudiu o Nekrost mesmo com a interrupção do show passando muito pensamento positivo para todos nós.

Não lembro de nada dos fatos quando desmaiei, mas falo a todos aqui o que me contaram.

On the last day 03/04/16 was a time really speechless over metal audience, I am quite sure that the duty of headbangers were very grateful for the great event that was the Maorocks Festival 2016 at Directional Theatre in Manauara Shopping in Manaus-AM here in Brazil.

The festival featured the bands Evil Syndicate, Eutanase, Nekrost, Krisiun and presenting the best of Brazilian metal.

I want to thank in advance the full support of bangers, producers, band of brothers and a team of firefighters who provided relief to me by shock that passed the Nekrost the show right at the end of the last song - "All my hate" - the faint due heat that I could not support. There was a pressure drop causing a strong dizziness. I could not keep control of the situation, even trying to get on with the show.

It really was a shock, but I'm already providing care to the event and once again thank wholeheartedly the audience applauded the same Nekrost with the interruption of the show going very positive thinking for us all.

I do not remember anything of the facts when I fainted, but I say to everyone here what they told me.

A big hug to everyone and metal in the vein!

OBRA & FONOGRAMA - WORK AND PHONOGRAM

Obra e Fonograma, embora sejam diferentes ainda geram dúvidas na hora de fazer o cadastro.

Recentemente falamos sobre a diferença entre Registro de Música e Cadastro de Obra, uma dúvida muito comum entre associados ou outras pessoas que vêm à ABRAMUS. Agora vamos falar sobre obra e fonograma e como fazer o cadastro.

É considerado Obra qualquer composição musical que contenha letra e melodia ou apenas melodia. Uma única obra pode ser interpretada de várias formas. Por exemplo, podemos encontrar uma mesma obra numa versão acústica, com banda, a capela, entre outras maneiras.

Já o fonograma é a fixação de uma obra em suporte material. Ou seja, é a gravação da obra; é a música que escutamos do CD, nas rádios etc.

Como dito acima, uma única obra pode ser interpretada de formas diferentes. E também gravadas várias vezes. Por exemplo, quantas versões diferentes você já escutou de *“Aquarela do Brasil”, “Boate Azul”, “Na rua, na Chuva, na Fazenda”…?

Se uma mesma obra for gravada várias vezes, para cada gravação é necessário fazer o cadastro de um novo fonograma, pois se tratam de gravações diferentes. Mas a obra é cadastrada apenas uma vez, pois a letra e a melodia permanecem as mesmas.

Cadastro de Obras

O cadastro de obra pode ser feito de duas maneiras. A primeira é através de Editora Musical, quando o autor opta por ter uma editora administrando suas obras. Neste caso, a editora faz o cadastro da obra na ABRAMUS enviando um documento chamado “Ficha 158”, que já consta os percentuais acertados entre a editora e o(s) artista(s).

A segunda opção é o próprio autor das obras fazer o cadastro, enviando uma Declaração de Repertório preenchida e assinada. Se houver mais de um autor, a Declaração deve conter os percentuais acertados entre as partes.

Cadastro de Fonogramas

Já o cadastro dos fonogramas é feito pelo Produtor Fonográfico, que é a pessoa física ou jurídica responsável pela gravação. O Produtor Fonográfico muitas vezes é o próprio artista ou a gravadora.

O Produtor Fonográfico cadastra o fonograma gerando o código ISRC (International Standard Recordin Code), que é o código que identifica as gravações e determina o quanto cada artista receberá pela participação na gravação. Para isso ele precisa adquirir o software “Sistema de ISRC” com a associação de direitos autorais com a qual é associado. O cadastro do fonograma inclui Intérpretes, Músicos, Produtores Fonográficos, e claro, o autor.

A distribuição dos valores de direitos autorais arrecadados de um fonograma funciona da seguinte forma: dois terços são destinados ao autor; do um terço restante, 41,7% é destinado ao Intérprete, 41,7% ao Produtor Fonográfico e 16,6% ao(s) músico(s).

Como receber Direitos Autorais

“Por que não recebo meus direitos autorais?”. Está aí uma pergunta que a ABRAMUS responde todos os dias no atendimento aos associados. Muitos artistas pensam que o simples fato de estarem filiados já é o suficiente para receber. Existem muitos fatores que levam um titular a não obter pagamentos de direitos autorais, como a falta de cadastro de obras e fonogramas; falta de atualização de dados cadastrais, como a conta bancária; a inadimplência de algumas rádios, casas de show, eventos etc.

Receber direitos autorais não é tão simples como muitos imaginam, e nem tão complicado como pode parecer.

“O que eu devo fazer para receber meus direitos autorais?”

Filiação

O primeiro passo para receber pagamentos de direitos autorais é estar filiado a uma associação, como a ABRAMUS. O ECAD – Escritório Central de Arrecadação e Distribuição – é o órgão responsável por fazer a arrecadação e distribuição de direitos autorais no Brasil. Após fazer a arrecadação, o ECAD passa os valores para as associações, que então faz o pagamento aos seus titulares. Por isso, é imprescindível que todo profissional da área da música filie-se a uma associação e mantenha seu cadastro sempre atualizado, seja ele autor, intérprete, músico ou produtor fonográfico.

Cadastro de obras e fonogramas

Estar filiado não basta. Além disso, é preciso cadastrar as obras e os fonogramas (as gravações das obras, isto é, a música que escutamos nos CDs, nas rádios etc). Lembramos que o cadastro de fonogramas é feito pelo Produtor Fonográfico.

Quando o ECAD faz arrecadação de obras e fonogramas que não estão cadastrados, os valores ficam “guardados”. Isto é o que chamamos de Crédito Retido (ou Crédito Protegido). Existem vários motivos que geram essa retenção, que podem ser a falta de cadastro de obras e fonogramas, como também cadastros com informações incompletas ou incorretas, bem como titulares que não têm filiação.

Período de arrecadação e distribuição

O pagamento dos direitos autorais não é algo instantâneo como muitos pensam. O processo de arrecadação e distribuição de direitos autorais é feito de forma minuciosa para garantir um serviço de qualidade. Numa visão geral, funciona da seguinte forma: a arrecadação é feita trimestralmente, leva mais três meses para processar o que foi arrecadado, e a distribuição é feita no mês seguinte. Por exemplo, o que é arrecadado entre janeiro e março é processado em abril, maio e junho e distribuído em julho.

Esta não é uma explicação detalhada de todo o processo necessário para que o artista receba o que é seu de direito, é apenas uma breve explicação de quais são os passos necessários. Hello pessoal!

Como todos devem saber estou viajando com minha banda Nekrost e o nosso destino nessa temporada é São Paulo, mais precisamente na cidade de Socorro-SP.

Uma cidade pequena com aproximadamente 40.000 habitantes com uma porcentagem pequena constituída pela zona rural, cujo a renda é baseada na indústria têxtil. Composta de um povo pacato e um clima predominantemente harborizado e muito ventilado posso dizer que estou tendo ótimas férias, apesar se ter vindo a trabalho.

Tocamos em um evento de amigos amantes do maior festival de metal do mundo realizado na Alemanha, o Wacken Open Air. Amigos que comparecem ao festival desde 2011 onde o Nekrost se apresentou depois de ter ganho uma seletiva nacional aqui no Brasil. Uma galera excelente e bem harmoniosa que desenvolveram o Carnawacken que é um evento típico dessa galera para estarem juntos e curtirem os momentos saudosos das viagens às edições do festival da Alemanha. Dvds, conversas, histórias e é claro, muitas bandas convidadas para tocarem ao vivo para todos os amigos no qual o Nekrost marcou presença. O evento ocorreu do dia 06/02 ao dia 09/2 e posso dizer que foi um super evento. Que venham os próximos!

Já nesta sexta feira 12/02 acontecerá outro evento, o Rock in Help. Evento que contará com muitas outras bandas paulistanas e que tenho certeza de que será uma ótima experiência!

Hello guys!

As everyone should know I'm traveling with my Nekrost band and our destiny this season is São Paulo, more precisely in the city of Socorro-SP.

De tempo em tempo os trabalhos estão aparecendo e procuro aproveitar cada momento para expandir meus conhecimentos, conhecer lugares novos e adquirir experiências.

Como essa é a primeira postagem do ano, quero começar com chave de ouro falando sobre o show da Nekrost juntamente com a banda Exodus Attack que foi incrivelmente fantástico, realmente sem palavras para descrever a atmosfera que tomou conta do Teatro Manauara no último sábado (23/01/16).

Quero agradecer a todos que torcem pelo meu trabalho, que acompanham e que me permitem seguir em frente com ideias boas que venham sempre engradecer a boa música.

Because this is the first post of the year, I want to start with a flourish talking about the show's Nekrost along with Exodus Attack band that was incredibly fantastic, really no words to describe the atmosphere that engulfed the Manauara Theatre on Saturday (23/01 / 16).

I want to thank everyone who cheer for my work, accompanying and let me move on with good ideas always come engradecer good music.

The staff of Nekrost - Glauber Rico, Rodrigo Mosca, Leland Dantas and Duda Ribeiro, and great friend Beto Montrezol with the help of his great roadie Raphael Castilho who did everything possible that night.

Devido à rotina de trabalhos que eu estou tendo com projetos musicais paralelos e o projeto principal que é com a Nekrost, minha rotina de estudos tem sido intensa para ficar em dia com minha técnica para me suprir quando eu estiver em ação na bateria.

Com essa ideia resolvi postar pequenos vídeos com exercícios essenciais que utilizo para minhas performance tanto ao vivo quanto em estúdio.

Hi folks!

Due to routine work that I'm having with parallel musical projects and the main project which is to Nekrost, my routine studies has been intense to keep up with my technique to meet me when I'm in action on drums.

With this idea I decided to post short videos with essential exercises that I use for my performance both live and in the studio.
