E.A.R.T.H. has successful completed their <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">EcoMentors</span> training and are preparing to launch their <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">eco</span>friendly awareness program.<br /><br />The 25 <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">EcoMentors</span> will be working closely with elementary schools in the area to improve environmental habits in young students from grades 1-6. Their mission is to find new and innovative ways to connect with youth and teach them about environmental issues and ways that together we can make a difference.<br /><br />EcoMentors have unique methods of dealing with issues both upstream and downstream, by preventing problems at the source and fixing problems after they happen. They do this in many ways. With the new recycling program launched at E.L. Crossley S.S., E.A.R.T.H. hopes to improve the green situation at the school in order to make Crossley an EcoSchool. As well as the improved recycling program E.A.R.T.H. Club members are busy with picking up garbage in the school yard.<br /><br />The E.A.R.T.H. Crossley S.S. E.A.R.T.H. Club is taking it to the internet. With the debut of the E.A.R.T.H. Club site, the Environmental Advocates Ready To Help hope to be able to spread tidings of a greener future to a larger audience, as well as save paper.<br /><br />The E.A.R.T.H. Club, founded in 2007, strives to make Crossley, the Niagara Region, and the whole world a greener more environmentally friendly place to live.<br /><br />Through initiatives such as the sale of Klean Kanteens to lessen the need for plastic bottles, as well as improving recycling in the school by bringing in green, grey and blue bines, the Crossley E.A.R.T.H.
