Sheri and Sandy will be attending the 8th Annual Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in the Twin Cities on Saturday. This is the first time we have attended this event so check back and see what goodies we found and what make-n-takes we completed.

Sixth Annual MDA Crop and Silent Auction

The Sixth Annual MDA Crop is planned for Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Camp Courageous in Monticello. Join croppers this year for a great day of scrappin', stampin', or whatever else you would like to work on, as well as a raffle and a silent auction. Last year over $15,000 was raised thanks to so many people.

Your registration is a tax deductible donation to MDA and includes crop space and two meals. Download the flyer to register and hand these out to your friends! Registrations are being accepted now! Please email Sherrie Brown at sherriebscrappin@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

Monthly Crops On Hold As One of Our Own Recovers

Some of you may not have heard, but one of the Pink Ladies, Sandy Toomsen, was injured earlier this month when she was robbed by two men in front of her home in Waterloo. She had just arrived home from work and one grabbed her from behind while the other grabbed her purse. The purse got wrapped around her wrist and she was drug down the street until it came loose. In the process, she tore a muscle and broke her right shoulder. She is currently off work for 8 weeks while she recovers. Unfortunately, she is not able to scrapbook at this time and we are not sure how long it will be before she is able to again as she will need to heal and then go through physical therapy. Feel free to send your get well wishes to her at cruisin2335@aol.com. We will let you all know once we are able to resume crops again.

Muffin Tin Advent Calendar

I just had to share this idea from Carolee's Creations. There are so many ways you can make this your own project. Enjoy!

Mini Muffin Tin Advent Calendar (as featured on Carolee's Creations blog at Scrabook.com)....

1.Start by purchasing a muffin tin with 24 cups - I found a mini muffin tin.

2. Cut Carolee’s Creations #22067 Holly Jolly Countdown patterned paper into squares. (Or use any Christmas paper and stamp your own numbers on each square or use a Cricut to create the numbers for each square.) Mount onto 30 mil. magnet sheets covering the entire square.

3. Embellish each square with metal accents, stickers, jewels, ribbon, etc.

4. Drill holes into the top of the muffin tin. Use ribbon to hang advent calendar as shown.

5. Fill each tin with candy (or trinkets) to be revealed throughout the month of December.
