Last night was the First Thursday Art Walk in Buckhead for May. The event was held in partnership with the Atlanta Humane Society; portions of proceeds were for the dogs!

There were even a few dogs and kittens that could be previewed for adoption! I saw 3 cairn terrier mixes that were only 7 weeks old and 2 kittens that were only 3 weeks old! Too precious.

Now that May is here, the hunt for cute tees is on!

While in line at the grocery store, I picked up the latest US Weekly (I mean, I can't pass up anything regarding The Hills!) After reading how *damaged* The Hills girls are by fame, I spotted an adorable top on Melissa Rycroft.

Shockingly, you can get this same tee for less than $10! Just head on over to Forever 21 before it's sold out!

#2: Poor grammar/spelling errors

I really can't stand when people use "text speak" on Facebook or in emails. Use proper grammar and spell things correctly! Check out this episode of How I Met Your Mother. It's a hilarious look at everyone's annoying habits on the show. Throughout, Robin says "literally" way too often..and incorrectly. I love it!

#1: Drivers who cut in lines

Hey now..If I've been waiting here forever, it doesn't mean that you can just pass everyone and drive up to the front! Why do people let them in? UGH.

I don't know about ya'll, but I struggle finding good athletic wear that I can wear to dance class and work out in that isn't too tight, restricting, or on the opposing end, too loose to really move around in. Also, I'm really short so most sweatpants are too long on me and it drives me crazy. I have become obsessed with skinny sweatpants that stop at the ankle..they seem to be just right for working out and look super cute to boot!

Lululemon seems to be all the rage these days, but these are out on my price range.

Vintage Slim Pant-$39.50

These are my favorite. I recently bought a pair...they didn't have this purple version in the store, but I got a light blue that's kind of faded in parts, sort of a burnt-out look that is hard to capture in a photo. They are very soft, too which is an extra plus!

Another great pant...Beyond Yoga has very comfy looking clothes. so I'm sure these would be great.

The Academy Of Country Music Awards was this past weekend. I love award shows, especially the red carpet (or in this case the orange carpet) before. Here are my fav looks of the night:

BEST:

Carrie can do no wrong in my eyes! I love her- and it just shows that you can do a short dress and still look appropriate. Also, I want that clutch.

Lady Antebellum's Hilary Scott

I love this bright magenta color! Her earrings are great.

I think Reba's dress looks age appropriate but still really classy and elegant.

WORST:

Don't get me wrong- I love Julianne Hough, but what was she thinking with this dress? I just want to rip off that weird silver piece, and it would be lovely!

The worst look of the night? Definitely Nicole Kidman. It's not only the dress...those shoes, the hair & makeup! Ugh. That's saying something considering how Gretchen Wilson showed up. However, Keith is rocking that skinny tie!

I have a friend who is so talented at doing hair..I love it when she does mine for a girls night out. With summer coming up, I think braids are the perfect way to keep your hair up away from your face but still cute. The "LC" braid is the only one I have been able to figure out myself...Here are some hair inspirations.

4-Week Ab Makeover

My roommates and I are embarking on the 4-Week Ab Makeover. Today was my first day, and I have to say that these exercises seem to be really good- I hope that if we commit to doing these every day that by the time we hit the beach we will be bikini ready!!

The only exercise that I couldn't get all the way through the complete set of reps is Hi-Low Chair...some of them are easier than others but the pictures are a little hard to understand at first.

#3: My Macbook

I love my macbook. Macs are so much easier and better to use than PCs. I have the 13" Macbook which is the perfect size- not huge and clunky like some of the more popular Dells.

#2: My Tap Shoes

Tap dancing is my favorite. If you took away my taps I don't know how I would get by. I love my spectator taps..I hate to wear any other kind of tap shoe.

#1: My cat Gracie

I adopted a kitten in January and I can't get enough of her!! I don't know what I would do without her. I used to have no patience for my friends who treated their pets like children and monopolized conversations with mundane things like dog parks or litter boxes..and now I totally get it. I'm now one of those weirdos that I hated. Just call me a crazy cat lady :)

This morning I woke up with some AM Yoga..I have been taking the Ballet Fit class at Dance 101 which incorporates center ballet exercises and some floor stretches that are similar to yoga stretching. I love the way it makes me feel when I take the class, so I my goal is to do some OnDemand yoga in the mornings to wake up and not be in such a fog on the way into work. The most important part of any workout is the music right? I chose Sigur Ros which is very calming and a great way to ease into the day. Self.com also published Jennifer Aniston's Yoga Playlist, which is more upbeat and I would love to use just for a regular workout playlist!

promotion about it in my inbox and was curious. I am in desperate need
of a new flat iron! In my daily perusings of deals on the .net, I saw a
blogger review of the product..her hair looks so shiny and straight after
using it. I hope to win the giveaway, and if not I just may purchase one of
these for myself! My current flat iron takes forever to heat up..I need one that
gets hot quickly considering I'm usually rushed in the mornings to get to

Jessica Alba wearing Country Love sweats

Today I got my new Country Love sweatshirt in the mail. I ordered it off of Rue La La for only $28! I live for some deals, and this one was great. I found out about Country Love from possessionista. A lot of the girls from the Bachelor this season looked so comfy! And then I found out that a lot of celebs look super cute in them. I am severely lacking in lounge clothes that aren't 5+ years old! I love my CL hoodie because it's not bulky but it has some soft fleece on the inside! Recommended for anyone who loves lounging around the house watching some bad reality tv. ;)
