How do I slipstream Windows XP SP2 and create bootable CD

Please do the steps below to slipstream Windows XP SP2 and create bootable CD.

1. Create a folder called OS on your hard drive (for examples: c:\os).
2. In this folder create three sub-folder called BOOT, ROOT, and SP
3. Copy the entire Windows XP CD (or extract the ISO) into folder ROOT.
4. Rename or delete C:\OS\ROOT\SUPPORT\TOOLS\deploy.cab.
5. Download the updated Deploy Tools from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=3e90dc91-ac56-4665-949b-beda3080e0f6
6. copy the updated Deploy Tools to the folder C:\OS\ROOT\SUPPORT\TOOLS\
7. Rename the deploy tools file to deploy.cab
8. Copy your Service Pack file into C:\OS
9. Rename the Service Pack file to SP.EXE
10. Click Start > Run...
11. Type in the following command in the Open text box:
C:\OS\SP.EXE /U /X:C:\OS\SP
12. Click the OK button.

>>>>Apply the Service Pack:
13. Click Start > Run...
14. Type in one of the following command in the Open text box:
C:\OS\SP\I386\UPDATE\UPDATE.EXE /S:C:\OS\ROOT
15. Click the OK button.

16. Download the bootable file from http://www.magiciso.com/bin/bootxp.bif to C:\OS\BOOT
17. Run MagicISO
18. Select File > New... from the menu
19. Select Tools > Load Boot Image... from the menu.
20. Choose "From bootable image file" option.
21. Input C:\OS\BOOT\bootxp.bif into "From bootable image file"
22. Click OK
23. Select File > Properties... from the menu.
24. Enter volume name(Please look up the correct volume name within the appindex below this email) into the Volume Label
25. Enter "Win32" into "System Identifier"
26. Enter "Microsoft Corporation" into Publisher.
27. Choose "ISO" Page
28. Choose "Joliet" Option
29. Choose " ISO Level 2" option
30. Click the OK button.
31. Locate the folder C:\OS\ROOT in Local File Tree Panel of MagicISO
32.Select everything under C:\OS\ROOT and drag it from Local File View Panel to ISO File View Panel
33. Select File > Save... from the menu. (Using filename with c:\winxp-sp2.iso)
34. Select Tools > Burn CD/DVD Image with ISO...
35. Input c:\winxp-sp2.iso into "CD Image File"
36. Choose "CD/DVD-RW DRIVER"
37. Select "Write Speed"
38. Choose "Mode 1"
39. Click "Burn"

STEP 1 : Post your HijackThis log file content

If your system is running very slow or giving random problems, there are chances that its infected with a virus. Download HijackThis from the links given below and scan your system with it. It'll generate a log file, copy the content of the log file and post here.

STEP 2 : Fix suggested entries

To fix the suggested entries, Boot your Windows in Safe Mode by pressing “F8″ key at system startup and select "Safe Mode" option. Run HijackThis again. Then select the entries and click on “Fix checked” button.

Also don't forget to scan your system with a good anti-virus and anti-spyware.

STEP 3 : Fix other issues and speed up Windows

How to Create a Bootable USB to install Windows XP via USB Flash Drive

Okay I will guide you through the complete process.
First you need to have check that weather your system supports booting from a USB flash drive.
This option can be checked by entering in the BIOS option of your system and in there check boot disk priority, most system enter in the BIOS Option either by pressing F1,F2 or F11 or F12 or some by pressing Delete key for several.
In there find to enter in the boot disk priority and check weather you system supports if give it a high priority mean first priority and enable boot from USB.
Now you have to options to create a bootable USB first of one is that you use a software and in which it is an automatic process and the second one Is a manual one.
You need to extract boot files for the manual creation of a Bootable USB from a windows installation CD.

note:

The process of installing window xp through a flash drive is a slow process and takes about an hour or even more in the installation.

Okay I am going to show you the method how to extract the Boot Image from a Windows Installation CD.

You need to install Magic ISO Creator in your system.

Secondly insert Windows XP CD in your Digital Media I mean CD ROM or DVD ROM.

Make sure you have Magic ISO Creator installed in your PC.

Thirdly right click on the CD OR DVD ICON when windows CD is in it and press extract Boot image follow on Screen instruction and boot image is extracted, this boot image can also be used to create a bootable CD of Windows XP.

If you want to create bootable USB then download software from internet there a billion of software's that can help you in this process.

One of which is WinTOUSB.

All instructions are included in this software and there is no need to discuss those instructions here.

So if you have a slow internet connection I mean if you are dialup internet user and you wish to open www.Youtube.com videos but you can't so I have a trick for you with the help of which you will be able to run YouTube Videos fastly.
Open you web browser and in the address bar write" m.youtube.com ", it is actually the mobile site of YouTube because when you want to run YouTube Videos on you mobile handset then this site is open.
Remember to replace www with m for mobile YouTube and view videos fastly but if your internet connection is too slow than these 3Gp videos of m.youtube.com will also be played very slowly so I prefer to use a little bit fast internet connection. I don't mean DSL connection I mean to browse internet via connecting your handset with computer and connect through your handset because they have a download speed of about 30 Kbps and they connect at speed of 921 kbps.

Insert your Zong sim in your cell phone, and if you have the following Nokia sets do the following.

Now go to Menu, then Settings , after that Configuration, then Add Personal Configuration, Click on Click On Access Point, Name It "ZONG Internet" and in the Access Point name type "zonginternet".

Leave the username and password empty.

Now if you also want to stream "YOUTUBE" videos on you cell phone then again go to Add Personal Configuration and in the Menu select Streaming.

In the Access Point Name use the same Access Point which I already have written that it is "zonginternet".

Make sure you have Google Picasa Installed on your PC.

If you don't have download it first and install it on your PC.

Now open Google Picasa, it will automatically search your computer for the picture file including popular Picture formats i.e. jpeg, png, gif etc not sure about gif.

Now move to the folder you wan to create the presentation of by sliding through side bars in Google Picasa.

You will see a button on your collection indicating " Create Movie Presentation". Click on it.

Now in the Movie tab you can upload an audio track which will be played during your movie presentation.

You can select different transition styles that are actually related the motion of the pictures.

Select dimensions , mean if you want to play it on a T.V of larger resolution than select maximum resolution if you want to play it on Cell Phone select a smaller one.

You can also select duration of the movie presentation.

Now move to tab "SLIDE" select text for the first clip, its style etc.

Finally move to the final only left tab and if you want to add more pictures than add them from My Library of Picasa.

Yes it is possible, I will give suggestions of two software's to you which can be used to download emails for you and you can view them later and even you can create draft emails and put them in your outbox to send them later. This technique is good for people who don't have a permanent internet connection or they use dial internet modem.

List of software's that can be used for downloading emails.

On the top is Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 or you can even use the latest Microsoft Office 2010.

The second one is Windows Outlook Express but it old in Microsoft Windows XP and have not greater capabilities so I recommend you to use Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, I am also using that software.

If you are a hotmail customer than no problem but if you are using yahoo, or gmail or any other e mail account than you have to enter the server settings for downloading but hotmail server settings are automatically detected and you have to enter only username and password along with your name to create an account in your Microsoft Outlook so that it can be used to download email messages for you. It works just like your hotmail account.

UXTheme Patcher can patch the file automatically so that you can use 3rd party themes in XP. Simply run the patcher and restart your system to take affect.

4. Windows File Protection (WFP) Switcher

Whenever you want to edit/delete/replace a system file in Windows XP, it doesn't allow and shows a message that the file is already in use. Even if you replace or edit the file using some other method, Windows automatically replaces the edited file with the default one upon next reboot.

It happens due to "Windows File Protection" (WFP) service which checks the system files periodically and replaces them with default ones.

Windows File Protection Switcher lets you disable and re-enable WFP service so that you can easily modify system files.

5. Replacer

Replacer is another easy way to replace system files with your modified one. Suppose you downloaded a patched or customized system file and you need to replace existing file in your system with the new one.

Using "Replacer", you can do it very easily and quickly. Just drag-n-drop the default system file in its window and then drag-n-drop the new modified file. It'll ask for confirmation, press "Y" and you have done. Restart your system and it'll replace the default file with new one upon next reboot.

PS: You can also type the complete file path in Replacer window instead of drag-n-drop the file.
