Knowing That You Are God’s Beloved

When Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan, a voice from heaven said, “This is my Beloved Son; with Him I am well pleased.” This is recorded in the Bible for your benefit.
Today, God has accepted you in the Beloved. Right now, He is well pleased with you because you are in Christ. After Jesus was baptized, He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. The devil said, “If You are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.”
Notice, the devil craftily dropped one vital word when he taunted Jesus to prove that He was the Son of God. God had audibly announced that Jesus was His Beloved Son, but the devil made no mention of the word Beloved. The devil deliberately dropped the word Beloved when he came to tempt Jesus.
The devil does the same thing with you today because he knows that if he reminds you that you are God’s beloved, all his plans to tempt you will be foiled. Once you know that you are God’s Beloved, whatever the devil wants to bring against you will be fail. You are God’s beloved through Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross so that we can be in Him, and so that we can live by the same word that proceeded from the mouth of God “This is my Beloved Son; with Him I am well pleased”.

The Empty Tomb
1Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"

3So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. 4Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. 6Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. 8Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. 9(They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)

10Then the disciples went back to their homes, 11but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

13They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?"

"They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." 14At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

15"Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?"
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."

16Jesus said to her, "Mary."
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).

17Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "

18Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.

Jesus Appears to Thomas
24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!"
But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."

26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

As I read this verse this morning oh how my heart rejoiced with the imagery of the Righteousness and Peace embraced like lovers lost. The Holy communion of God within our hearts of love and truth entwined. Oh what joy we have with knowing God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise Jesus! Alleluia!

What a beautiful image of love. But this is no ordinary love. This is our spirits meeting with the Spirit of God. This is not the lust of the world flesh with flesh but total spirit from heaven itself.

Oh that the Wings of God would touch me more and more as the wings of the Cherubim stretched forth over the Ark of the Covenant. For it was indeed THE Temple of the Living God. Not just any temple of which there were many. This was THE Temple of the Living God. Oh that the Shadow of Gods Wings touch our lives each day.

As Paul’s shadow passed, the very shadow of God himself was there, many were healed. Oh that we would see such wonders again for truly Jesus said many miracles and signs from God would walk hand in hand with repentance. Oh that such pure holy anointing would come again.

For the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One! It is all very God. Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty who Was and Is and Is to Come.

All Holy and praise be to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for breathing the Holy Spirit into our very beings. For we are now The Temple, our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, such a wonderful gift, oh what a gift we have. What an honour! Now we must honour God with our bodies for verily the very Holy Spirit that resided in the Temple of God in Jerusalem is now residing in those who put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

Repentance and turning your backs against the world and all its trappings. Complete surrender of ourselves for self has no part in the Kingdom of God. When Jesus died we died also. We He was raised from the dead so we were raised with Him, to those that truly profess to know Him.

Surrender to the wonderful Good News of Jesus Christ. We are now hid in Christ. Our lives do not belong to us any longer. Our lives are not our own we were bought at a price. A suffering price beyond our comprehension. A bloody price, a tormenting price, through blood sweat and tears did our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ walk the path of suffering willingly, obediently unto death for our sakes and counted not our sins and ignorance against us! Oh beautiful Jesus you have indeed kissed righteousness and peace and embraced love and truth.

We bring all the Glory to you Jesus for this wonderful priceless gift that no man can buy for all the gold, yes even the finest of gold in the world.

We wait patiently, enduring the suffering for the sake of Our Lord Jesus Christ for He shall come in Glory to bring His Bride Home to a mansion prepared for us as promised by Our Lord Jesus. Oh what a beautiful promise.

Yes the Son of God who has kissed Righteousness and Peace and walks hand in hand with love and truth. For those who truly walk in the Most Holy Spirit are joined and rejoice in this beautiful truth. For Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life.

Be filled with love dear brothers and sisters for this comes from a pure heart a clear conscience and of the most genuine faith. Many as you know have missed the whole point and have turned away from these pure and holy ways, so rejecting the Son of God rejoicing in the things of this world and many meaningless discussions which lead into a maze of sin. Yes although they seem to speak confidently have nothing to do with them. They have eaten too much honey and have become sick of it. So pray dear brothers and sisters that you will not entangle your lives among them for surely they will taint the beautiful Bride.

But the Lord is faithful and will strengthen you and will complete all. He is the Author and finisher of our faith and in Him we can trust.

You are the Bridegroom and we await you sweet Jesus!

Having a new year in christ

Having a new year has dawned
bringing sunshine
hopefully to all our
lives. Regardless of
what one has experienced or endured
in 2007, there is something
invigorating to spread the curtains
and look out and anticipate 2008.
As we try to train our hand to
write the correct year on our
checks and papers, let us remind
our hearts of what a blessing it is
to begin a new year in Christ.
In Christ We Have True
Forgiveness. Thanksgiving fills
our hearts when we realize the
drastic change God has provided
for us in Christ. He has delivered
us from the power of darkness,
and has placed us in the kingdom
of his Son (Col. 1:13). And it is
in God’s Son “in whom we have
our redemption, the forgiveness of
our sins” (Col. 1:14).
When God forgives, no
part of our transgression is ever
held against us again. Under the
covenant of Christ the prophecy
of Jeremiah is realized. God says,
“For I will be merciful to their
iniquities, and their sins will I remember
no more” (Heb. 8:12).
How complete is His forgiveness?
“As far as the east is from the
west, So far hath he removed our
transgressions from us (Psm.
103:12).
In Christ We Have A
Spiritual Outlook. Paul writes,
“Wherefore, if any man is in
Christ, he is a new creature: the
old things are passed away; behold
they are become new” ( 2
Cor. 5:17). By looking at the
prior verse, we can see the point
of Paul’s “Wherefore.” He is emphasizing
how the new man in
Christ looks at others as seen from
this statement: “Wherefore we
henceforth know no man after the
flesh: even though we have known
Christ after the flesh, yet now we
know him so no more” (2 Cor.
5:16).
Outside of Christ, our view
of man would be as to what race
he is, or his or her social position.
Jesus may have been viewed as a
Jew, and to many the Jewish
leader who was to redeem His
people from Roman dominance in
a secular world. But Paul says,
after Jesus’ death and resurrection
he viewed Jesus from a fleshly
point of view no more. Our redemption
is spiritual, and our insight
into things is from a spiritual
perspective.
Such insight is instructive
in times of suffering. Paul saw
his afflictions as “light” because
he looked “not at the things which
are seen, but at the things which
are not seen.” He focused on the
more glorious “eternal” realities
that helped him overcome the
“temporal” setbacks (2 Cor. 4:
17-18).
In Christ We Have Room
For Growth. Regardless of our
spiritual maturity as we end a
year, we always can begin a new
year in Christ realizing areas
where growth and improvement is
needed. We should look at the
new year as an opportunity to be
“increasing in the knowledge of
God” (Col. 1:10). Our faith in
Christ has room to add “virtue”,
“knowledge”, “self-control”,
“patience”, “godliness”,
“brotherly kindness” and
“love” (2 Pet. 1:5-7). Peter says
regardless of who we are, we have
room to grow or “abound” in
these characteristics towards spiritual
maturity. Make 2008 the year
you see yourself actually grow in
these essential spiritual qualities.
Christ is “our hope” (I
Tim. 1:2). Hope through forgiveness
unto the expectation of
Heaven is a wonderful way to begin
any year. Are you in Christ?

Death in Christianity

Death is the one thing in life we can be sure about and that is why religions have beliefs about what it means! Everything else ‘might’ happen to us: we might get married, be rich, be happy, have children, open our own business or travel the world, but the only real certainty is that we will die. The major western religion Christianity has borrowed heavily from the Egyptian model of what happens after death. The idea of final judgment, physical resurrection and heaven being a garden with a river running through it, are all ideas borrowed from the Egyptians. We must also remember that man’s life is in God's Hands. Only He determines the moment of death and the destiny of every soul on separation from the flesh. For this reason, attempts to produce experiments in this field are in conflict with the Will of God and bring the experimenter into contact with the fallen spirits of that world. Christians believe fervently that there is a life after death on earth. While the actual nature of this life is not known, Christians believe that many spiritual experiences in this life help to give them some idea of what "eternal life" will be like.

Christianity has historically taught that everyone has only a single life on earth. After death, an eternal life awaits everyone either in Heaven or Hell. There is no suffering in Heaven; only joy. Torture is eternal without any hope of cessation for the inhabitants of Hell. The overwhelming majority of mainstream Christian denominations rejects the notion of reincarnation and considers the theory to challenge basic tenets of their beliefs. In standard Christian theology, the soul is an individual entity which is totally separate from other souls and (can become) totally separate from God. There is thus one God (or maybe three depending on how you interpret the Trinity) and a plurality of souls. Every person has exactly one soul. In the Genesis version, as believed by 'young earth' creationist theologians, humans were created on the Saturday of the first week, after God had created land, sea, stars, planets, birds, beasts fishes etc during the previous Monday to Friday. Since only humans have souls, all these features existed quite concretely in the absence of observers. In contrast, theologians who believe in evolution subscribe to the 'soul-injection theory’, which states that "There came a moment in the evolution of hominids when God intervened and injected a human soul into a previously animal lineage. All the features of the world existed in the absence of souls, in this case for many hundreds of millions of years rather than one working week. So, to the Christian, reality is totally objective and souls have no part in determining the existence of the real world. If Jesus is the only way to God, it is because the salvation of the person, body and spirit, is a hope profoundly different from all other religious hope. It gives a new dimension to salvation not found anywhere else. Spiritual life is walking after the spirit by the Spirit, focused on the spirit, exercising and strengthening our spirit, substantiating things unseen. Such is the life, in Christ Jesus, the only help that could ever work, authentically, for us helpless sinners in achieving victorious life: with Christ, Christ in me, and for Christ.

Resurrection means to return back in the same physical body with the same face. Hence the practice of burial, preserving the body and burying it to be resurrected at the end of times. Rebirth is when a soul which resides in a human body returns back to another human body after the previous body's death. Now to begin with no one knows what happens to the soul after it leaves the body, so for argument's sake, for a soul to return, it requires a body which can sustain it, which evidently is not a rotten corpse which is nothing but decayed bones, whereas a newborn or a foetus is much more apt for a soul to make it its dwelling. So from a rational point of view isn’t it more appropriate for a soul to take rebirth rather than claim the old rotten body it once used to reside in. Belief in the resurrection of the dead, and Jesus Christ's role as judge of the dead, is codified in the Apostles' Creed, which is the fundamental creed of Christian baptismal faith. The Book of Revelation also makes many references about the Day of Judgment when the dead will be raised up. However, there are also many Christians who do not believe that individual consciousness continues after death, and a higher number who do not believe in a place or condition of eternal punishment for sins.

Christians believe there is an afterlife. Christian views of the afterlife generally involve heaven and (somewhat less frequently) hell, with Catholicism adding an intermediate realm of purgatory. Except for purgatory (whose denizens will ultimately enter heaven, after "purification"), these realms are usually assumed to be eternal. Although the body dies and is buried or cremated, they believe that their unique soul lives on and is raised to new life by God. Christians believe that God is just and fair, and so cannot let evil go unpunished. Most believe in the idea of judgement after death, and that God will treat people in the afterlife according to how they lived their life on earth. Historically, Christianity has taught "Heaven" as a place of eternal life, in that it is a shared plane to be attained by all the elect. Roman Catholics believe that entering Purgatory after death cleanses one of sin period of suffering until one's nature is perfected, which makes one acceptable to enter heaven. This is valid for venial sin only, as mortal sins can be forgiven only through the act of reconciliation and repentance while on earth. In Protestant Christian sects, eternal life depends upon the sinner receiving God's grace through faith in Jesus' death for their sins, see atonement, his resurrection as the Christ, and accepting his Lordship authority and guidance over their lives. If the soul could satisfy the gods, "the soul was straightway gathered into the fold of Osiris. But if it could not, if it was found wanting when weighed in the heavenly balances, then it was cast into a hell, to be rent to shreds of the 'Devouress.' For only the righteous souls, only the guiltless, were thought to be deserving of life everlasting. The concept of heaven and hell in traditional Christianity heavily depends on the doctrine of the immortality of the soul. The Bible is even less specific about hell, and Christians have very different ideas about this too. Some Christians believe that hell is a place of suffering, and of separation from God. Others (perhaps most) believe that hell is a spiritual state of being separated from God for eternity.

The word Salvation signifies deliverance from actual trouble or threatening danger. Salvation is the gift of God given by a covenant with man where God acts by grace to save man from the slavery and evil effects of sin. Only in Christianity is this path of Salvation made clear by God's covenant with man through Jesus Christ who is the sacrifice of God for the sins of the whole world. Christians believe that salvation was made possible by the sacrificial death of Christ by crucifixion 2,000 years ago. The word atonement, one of the few theological words of English origin, is used to describe this concept. The verb "atone" derives from the adverb "at one," and therefore means "to reconcile.” The notion of deification (Theosis in Greek) is based on the perspective that when Christ was incarnate in the man Jesus, he did take on just one human nature, but all of human nature. He thus made it possible for the reverse to occur – for humans to participate in the divine nature. "The Son of God, as the one through whom the process of creation was fulfilled, came down from heaven into the world and became fully man.

The Creator's Holy Nation

The Creator God chose the people of ancient Israel and their descendants to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation (Ex.19:6) through which he would bless the entire world (Gen.18:18; 22:18). Through this one nation God purposed to proclaim his redemptive plan for humanity and the way for all people to have happy, abundant, and productive lives. However, ancient Israel failed to keep their agreement with God and did not become the kingdom of priests, and the holy nation that he wanted them to be.

The Father's Holy Nation

On the Day of Pentecost after Jesus' death and resurrection, God the Father sanctioned and established a new holy nation of kings, ambassadors, and priests that is substantially different from the kingdom of priests that national Israel was to become.

The information contained in the following studies reveal the reasons God the Father established a new holy nation on earth to replace national Israel, the responsibility that each citizen of this holy nation has today as a king, an ambassador, a priests, and a temple within his holy nation, and the future responsibilities and rewards that will be given to his elect children after Christ returns to rule the earth.

Kings, Ambassadors, Priests, and Temples of God

Within the New Testament are many references to the Father's elect children being kings, ambassadors, priests, and temples. But are these references only spiritual analogies or are they expressions of physical and spiritual realities during the gospel age of salvation? If these references are realities, what meaning do they have today? And how do these kings, ambassadors, priests, and temples interact and function to serve God the Father's and Jesus Christ's purpose today?

If in fact the Father's children are literally kings, ambassadors, priests, and temples, the answers to the above questions are extremely important and have enormous implications pertaining to one's spiritual life and responsibilities as a child of God today and one's future as an immortal spirit-being in the Family and Kingdom of God.

The Holy Nation

Many people think that the Kingdom of God is a spiritual reality that will only be entered into upon one's death and resurrection. Although the Kingdom of God is spiritual and is not yet physically present on earth there are many parables, prophecies, and promises recorded in the New Testament concerning the elect's status as citizens of the Kingdom of God. Moreover, the scriptures clearly show that the Father's elect children who are alive today are citizens of a holy nation who are subject to both the physical and spiritual laws of the Kingdom of God (1.Pet.2:9-10).

This study explains what a kingdom is and the functions and responsibilities that each of God the Father's children have as a citizen, a king, and an ambassador within his holy nation during the gospel age of salvation.

The Father's Temple Worship System Today

The apostles and the early church understood and taught the deep spiritual meanings and relationships between the Levitical priesthood, the temple worship system of national Israel, and the holy nation of kings, ambassadors, and priests who serve the Father and Jesus Christ through temples of flesh during the gospel age of salvation.

Being a temple of God during the gospel age is not some abstract thought or mystical concept, it is a literal reality for those who are the Father's elect children on earth. Therefore, in order to more clearly understand how the Father's temple functions within his elect children today, we need to have some understanding of the temple system of ancient Israel, the temple system after the return of Christ, and the heavenly temple system.
