The music industry is fast-paced, fickle, and ultracompetitive. Musical tastes change, hits grow stale, and new taste and technologies supersede the old, promoters" are always looking for the hotest new sound", says social-media expert Kelli S. Burns. But turning that "sound" into a hit is not easy. Alot of kids dream of becoming recording star....But it's often a long , touch road between the dream and the recording contract" says an industry guidebook.

THE GIFT OF MUSIC, Can you imagine life without music? No soothing lullabies. No romantic serenades. No lovely pop songs. No stirring symphonies. And no inspirational melodies. Most would consider that dull and unappealing prospect.
Yes, music apeals to virtually the full range of human emotions. It soothes and excites us, uplifts and inspires us. it moves us to ecstasy and redues us to tears. Moreover, because music speak straight to our heart, it has power. it is a beautiful gift from GOD.

MUSIC AS AN ART

2010-12-07T10:31:00.000-08:00

Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike), "(art) of the Muses."

music help in soothing one’s disturbed soul, in the growth of concentration and also enliven us to live life to the fullest. There are varied genres of music as people have different tastes. For e.g., classical music, rock, jazz, metal, rap, folk, pop, karoake, country, afro juju, jogodo, makossa etc. But the objective remains the same. The aim of all music is to touch the core of the heart and thus music can be called an expression of our heart’s saying. To understand and know about different genres of music.

The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within "the arts," music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art. There is also a strong connection between music and mathematics.
