Xiaomi's sub-brand Pocophone launched its first device in the country back in 2018. The Poco F1 was introduced in the country as a value for money device flaunting flagship-like specs. However, despite its success, we have not seen the company launch a successor to the Poco F1 in the country.

But recent leaks now claim the Poco F2 could soon become a reality. The latest leak comes after Xiaomi's global head Alvin Tse teased the phone to come out in 2020. As per the new information, solid proof has emerged in the form of a leaked trademark application.

According to reports, Xiaomi has filed a trademark for a phone named Poco F2, a clear indication that the successor is coming. And a trademark was presented right before the launch of the original Poco, so the announcement is probably nearing. While there is no confirmation, the device could be called Pocophone F2 globally, except for India, where it's going to be called Poco F2.

And for the specs, there is little information available right now, but rumours do reveal some information about the device. Last year, case maker Spigen listed two cases for the Poco F2 on its website, which confirmed that Poco F2 will come with a full-screen display and pop-up selfie camera.

As per the listing, the phone was also revealed to come with a triple camera set-up at the back along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The renders also reveal that Poco F2’s design could also resemble that of the Redmi K20 Pro, indicating that the phone would sport an OLED display as against Poco F1’s LCD display.
Much like the Poco F1 which was launched back in 2018 and was powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset, Xiaomi Poco F2 could also sport a flagship chipset. The phone is likely to launch with Snapdragon 855 or Snapdragon 855 plus in its core with an aggressive price tag. In an aluminum air battery, aluminum is used as an anode, and air (the oxygen in the air) is used as cathode. This results in the energy density – i.e. energy produced per unit weight of the battery – very high compared to other conventional batteries.

Aluminum air battery’s high energy density mean that they have a high potential of being used in electrical vehicles.

Despite this an aluminum air battery is not commercially produced, mainly due to the high production cost of the anode, as well as issues with corrosion of the aluminium anode due to the carbon dioxide in air. Because of this, use of this battery is restricted to mainly military applications.

This type of battery cannot be electrically recharged. Basically this is a primary battery. But the difficulty of recharging can be overcame by mechanical recharging process. Mechanical recharging of aluminum air cell is done by replacing aluminum electrode. In this process, the battery can be turned to its fully charged condition from discharged battery cell stack.

Because of its high energy and power densities, facilities of mechanical recharging, aluminum air battery is may be the most suitable alternative of petroleum fuel for automobile in near future. These battery also have very low environmental impact.

The main disadvantage of this technology is, the reaction of CO2 with aluminum. Aluminum gets very easily affected by corrosion due to the presence of CO2 in the air. This problem can be overcame by introducing special air electrode which can prevent CO2 to reach to the aluminum sheet. mAadhaar app security flaw makes it easy to steal Aadhaar data of indian

A french security researcher has reportedly found a security flaw in the mAadhaar app which makes it easy for someone with physical access to any user’s phone to acquire their personal Aadhaar card details. In a series of Tweets, he explained the flaw and has pointed out the issues that afflict the mAadhaar Android app.

He further says that it is super easy to get the password of the local database since the mAadhaar is saving all the biometric settings in a local database which is protected with a password. And, to generate the password, they used a random number with 123456789 as seed and a hardcoded string db_password_123.

He also said that debug feature that is enabled in the app by default lets someone to repack the app with the logging activated and distribute it so all your Aadhaar data will be available on the sdcard so the attacker can easily upload the log file to his server.

However, UIDAI was quick to respond to the user and in a response Tweet, it mentioned that “mAadhaar uses a local db to store the user preferences on the user’s device. This data is application preferences as created by the user on his/her phone. The app does not capture, store or take any biometric inputs. So the question of biometrics being compromised does not arise.” He further clarified that the app code suggests that mAadhaar app stores a user’s eKYC data like name, Aadhaar Number, Name, address, photograph on the phone itself.

He also released a proof-of-concept Aadhaar database password generator which according to him generates the same password all the time which makes it relatively easier to crack the said password. However, the authenticity if the password generator is yet to be confirmed. The silver lining of the flaw is that it cannot be exploited remotely, instead it needs physical access.

There was a report early last week which said that a major security loophole in the Aadhaar database which made the unrestricted access to the database available just for Rs. 500, post this report,UIDAI issued restriction to about 5,000 officials to the Aadhaar portal.

Xiaomi just announced the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphone at an event in China as it had promised. The Redmi 5 has a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 full-screen display, is powered by Snapdragon 450 and packs a 3300mAh battery, while the Redmi 5 Plus comes with a 5.99-inch FHD+ 18:9 full-screen display, is powered by Snapdragon 625 and packs a 4000mAh battery. Both these run Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with MIUI 9.

These have a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.25μm pixel size sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back.Xiaomi Redmi 5 specifications
