I haven't been very nice to my camera lately...it has sadly been collecting a wee bit of dust. It is sad, I know! Hopefully "it" won't be to harsh on me... :) I got asked to help out with some christmas photos this weekend and it had me look back in my archives a bit and found some treasures. Makes me really want to pick the camera up more. Yes...I have a thing for

this makeover will be a long one it seems. Both due to the fact it is hard to find the pieces I want and my budget is limited. :) But I did go on a little shoppingspree a week ago and found these:  A new bedsidelamp which I love, now I just need to get some height to the chrome stool it stands on to give it more "umph".  One of the bedsidetable ideas i had was getting a traytable

I went shopping for a bedsidelamp the other day and came out with a Little bit more than I thought...;) Found this tray storage thingy that i just loved, had an idea and well this is how it went....   The Before shot    The list of characters that I bought and found in my stash at home :)              &

the time between these posts are ridiculously long...sorry about that. Going to try my best to get the posts on here more regularly from now on...:) I did celebrate my birthday this summer and one of gifts was this one:   a castiron pot from Le Creuset....so love it! Perfect size to. I have a oval one from before....Picture below:   really like cooking in these, anything from

I added a walnut stain to it and a semi matt finish to it. Turned out better than I thought it would. :) Ignore the bedding, had to do a Quick one for the shot ;)Think white a bit fluffy and a touch of color and you get the finished deal. Now the dilemma is bedsidetables...and the rest of the decor. In other words...we are long from being done. :)

The reason I have been missing: Enjoying some good weather, the beach and familytime and the process of making my own headboard. :) Remember this inspiration moodboard I did: Well after I posted this my fingers started to itch a bit, that and my wanting to get it done, I went to get some materials. It was a fun Project to do, even though it took up most of my livingroom... Had to do the

I have been wanting to do something to my bedroom for months now. I just put up my headboard I have now for sale to get this makeover up and going. Otherwise I will still be dreaming by december... Do know how I want it to look like when finished but resources are tight so need to be on a budget here. (not that I have made one yet...but need to keep it on a minimum) Here is a little moodboard

Yesterday I ended up shopping a new wall Clock for my Collection...however now I am slightly regretting the purchase. And ended up online looking for others this morning. The problem now is that I fell in love with one that is no longer on the market. Have found a few other selections, but not sure if I should get one. And if I should get one which one to choose. Here are a the ones I am (

We are all very different when it comes to decorating and such in our home. One thing that I took with me from my mother is always have a runner on my diningtable. Where she has flowers I have most of the time Candles....:) After doing my floors in the kitchen (you can find the post about that here) I ended up cleaning it from top to bottom...due to every little speck of dust that came out of

After installing the floor I had to give my kitchen a major cleaning...aswell as the rest of the apartment. Dust from the boards everywhere...I still see it! While I was in the process of cleaning I figured I would update a few random areas around the place. A few eye features...:)     The corner in my kitchen got a little makeover, this is how it used to look like Click here &

Not sure about you, but over here Spring = New Shoes!! :) Long gone are the heavy winter boots and come light, pretty shoes. Last year I tossed out a few pairs that have had their share in mileage so to speak and last week I went looking for new ones. First and foremost I needed a pair of everyday shoes with lots of comfort and here is what I found: bought here   I did splurge a

When I moved in to this apartment a little over a year ago I had them install new flooring in the hallway. Which turned out great, trust me...anything would have been better than what I had. A old really ugly looking linoleum flooring!!! It looked worse in the hallway than it did in the kitchen so I did the Entryway/hallway first since that is the first look you get of the place when you come in

I thought that I would just stay away for the holidays and then be back with a bang again. But one thing led to another then I thought I would start fresh again in february. But alas I didn't...as you probably know.... Here I am oh...5 months later and I believe I am starting to get back into the groove so to speak. Have a few things to share and am feeling positive about it. stay tuned for

So my little escape from the blog world ended up longer than I planned. Life somehow took over, that and being completely drained of energy. Christmas Eve...december came and went pretty fast I think, seems like I just blinked and here is christmas. Wishing you all a merry night and with lots of joy and laughter. Being picked up soon to go over to my brothers house for christmas dinner and

have you ever wondered what is going on inside someones head when you take their photograph?!   I do...especially when I have a lot of series shots. Not that the little guy could tell me if I was right or wrong, but this is how I saw it from behind the camera: Oh was I laughing hard when I opened these up after the party....:)

I have each fall a craving for different things...this year it was pecan pie! Oh boy were these bars delicious....I believe I died at one point... :)   Will go ahead that if you are on a diet or restrictions or don't want to fill your body with heaps of sugar...then don't make these!   But if you are like me and have the saying "you only live once" kind of thing....then please go

One of the major highlighs of this month was that this little guy had his first birthday and with that comes his very own first party! :)   I wish I had a kick-ass party like he had, I mean...the food and the desserts...yum!   Although he didn't quite like the cake part of it all...(I have great photos on that later)     We had to style him to the part so a little
