I can't believe I am blogging so much lately. It is so exciting! Okay, so one of my 2 (two) dresses I bought for Steeplechase arrived today. The thing is that I bought one I kind of like, and one I REALLY like. The one I kinda like arrived today, and I think I might be in love with it a little bit. If I could marry it, I just might. So this worries me, because I am NOT good with decisions.

Got a pretty exciting phone call yesterday. Seems a VERY fab department store wants to buy lots of our cards (retail mind you, b/c it's not a resale thing) for an event they are having. Sometimes it's quite nice to make cards with shoes on them :)

Tonight is Wednesday. Tony Bennett will be on American Idol and probably so will Sanjaya. (sigh) Oh, didja know? Melinda Doolittle is from Brentwood, TN. And I do believe that I live in Brentwood, TN (only about 10 minutes from Nashville). I swear, fame surrounds me. I can't help it.

An October Road Quickie

Has anyone caught the new ABC show 'October Road'? It has been coming on after Grey's Anatomy,which I know everyone in America watches, so I'm sure you have heard about it. Well, I have been watching it the last couple of weeks. I have been dissapointed. I don't know what I was expecting, but the acting and dialogue is kind of cheesy I think. And predictable. So, my friend rings me up and asks me if I have seen it and what did I think of it? She hasn't watched it yet, but wanted to know what it was about, etc. I told her the gist and what I thought. I also explained it like this: "Ya know? It's kind of like the premise of Beautiful Girls, (which, BTW is the most FABULOUS movie ever made). Although BG was so, so much better."

Well, ironically, I was reading Korbie's Cheat Sheet on Eonline.com. And guess what??? The SAME writer that wrote Beautiful Girls (Scott Rosenberg) is writing October Road. I about fell out of my chair. I mean, what a kawinky-dink! (although not really, because the storylines are somewhat similar minus Natalie Portman and a piano) Okay, so here in lies the issue: Why does October Road suck? Beautiful Girls is famous for its completely wonderful dialogue and writing. That is what made the movie - hands down. So, now that I know this bit of info, I might give October Road another chance. Mostly b/c I love Beautiful Girls, and if this show is anything like it, then it must have promise. It just needs to hurry up and get it quickly.

The husband is in Las Vegas right now to celebrate a friend's birthday (which so conveniently coincides with the Final Four games) He called and said the following:

He: "I am at the Mirage and there is a poker tournament going on...guess who's here?"

Me: "Um, Vince Vaughn?"

He: "No, guess again"

Me: "Ben Affleck?"

He: "No"

Me: (getting frustrated) "I don't know - is it a he or she, more famous that Vince Vaughn?"

He: "as famous, and is a he"

Me: "I don't know , frigging tell me already!!"

He: "Leonardo DiCaprio".

Me: "Are you effing kidding me? He is waay more famous that Vince Vaughn!! He was up for an Oscar this year! Holy Macaroni! That is two celeb casino sightings in 2007 for us! Woohoo!!!" (Um, can you please snap a picture? Pretty please? What is he wearing? What does he look like? Who is he with?"

Britney and Kevin reach a divorce settlement

Okay, hotties, here we go. They have reached an agreement. Britney drafted an airtight prenuptial agreement before they legally married, so Kevin couldn't really get his hands on that much. A rep for Federline confirms the settlement, saying, "The parties signed a global settlement on all issues of their marriage and the custody of the children."

Britney and Kevin spent the day on Thursday hammering out the final details, which will reportedly see the couple split custody of Jayden James and Sean Preston.

And the FedEx will only get a just over $1 million in cash from Spears.

Here I am! I know how much you guys have missed me. Honestly, I have been meaning to post for a few days, but I also wanted do post a couple of pics, and the friend that shall remain nameless has yet to send me them. However, some FABULOUS things have been going on!

First off, I just got back from an uber fun trip to Savannah, GA for St. Patty's Day with some fabulous girlfriends. We had the most wonderful time. For those who don't know, St. Patty's Day in Savannah, GA is the 2nd largest party in the US. It's huge, and very fun. I wanted to post pictures, but alas, I have none to post. I promise I will as soon as I get them. (hint, hint).

In my great new job I get to do some great things and meet great people. Many people will make fun of me for this, but I got to meet Jared from Subway! He is really a great guy and loves talking to kids about nutrition and childhood obesity. So, he came to one of my schools and spoke to the kids. Fun, eh? However, I will say that if there was a national award for the worst picture ever, it would definitely have to be this one. What gives dude? I think I should write him a letter and demand better than this. Come on man! Open your eyes!

Um, Hey Jared from Subway, can you please open your eyes when you take your picture with Mandy? Great, thanks!

On another front, guess what is coming up that I am so excited about??? Steeplechase! (go read about last year here and here) That's right, Steeplechase in Nashville is now on the horizon. Tickets have been purchased, and now the dress hunting is underway. Now, if you will remember, I get a bit obsessed with my dress. (And you know my story about dress twins - I would sooner die) So, the shopping has begin. I have purchased a couple already and will return whichever one I decide against. (or not, we'll see - a girl can always use extra dresses, no?)

On a sad note, 7th Heaven has officially gotten the boot from the CW. Sad to see the Camdens go. Sure, they have been around for a few years too long, but they also launched the career of the uber fabulous Jessica Biel. Oh! And Watch with Kristin's Save One Show poll is underway, so go vote for your fave, and save it! If you'll remember, One Tree Hill won last year and Veronica Mars the year before, and it was her poll that saved them from being canceled. So it works!

And, finally, I want to give a shout-out to my boyfreind in Indiana, Mr. Peyton Manning. He hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend and did a FABULOUS job. For those who do not like him, you are insane. He has that natural personality that makes you adore him. I think he did a great job and did the ole U of Tennessee proud. And he even did a semi shout-out to them b/c they showed the UT v. Ohio State game before one skit. They were good skits written perfectly for him. I bet the ratings were fab too. Woohoo Peyton!

The American Idol Monopoly

Okay, so really my need for a new post comes because I realized that my post about Reba was my last one. And, I realized I needed a new one pronto. I certainly didn't want brand new reader to my blog to think that is who I am, right? A bona-fide Reba-lover?? (okay, so secretly I am).

So, I am sitting here watching Tuesday's American Idol, and I'm thinking "why bother"? I already know I will probably not watch it tomorrow and Thursday. That is just TOO big of a committment. Three days? Seriously? That is crazy. And what is crazier is that millions will do it. And you know what else? All networks are terrified to put anything against it because it will fail. So, then you have networks shying away from putting their good shows on Tues, Wed and Thursdays during that time slot, so there is crap on the other stations. So, where are we? Well, since there is nothing else good on, we end up watching American Idol. See? A monopoly. I'm sure they'll get sued eventually. Oh dear. We have Jarrod coming up to sing and he is dedicating this song to his mom and dad for their inspiration. Um, yeah. It's "Let's Get it On". I'm not joking.

On another TV note, did you hear about them doing a Grey's Anatomy spinoff? Yup. 'Tis true. Seems they have too many really good characters to develop really good stories around in one hour. So, they have decided to take Addison's character and give her her own show. They have said, though, that the show will basially be an extension of Grey's. Kind of making it a 2-hour kind of thing, without it actually being two hours. Um, did I mention that American Idol was a monopoly? Well, Grey's Anatomy is right behind it. Film it and they will come. I actually do not know one person who doesn't watch it, so you can't blame Shonda (the show's creator) for doing this. Or can we? If you read some of the message boards out there, some people are psychotic-ly upset about it. But not me, oh no. I am never involved in such nonsense.

Oh, and p.s. I sucked at my Oscar picks. Oops. Well, shit.

Much more comicly written than most sitcoms on TV (waaaay better than 'The Class') She just puts up with stuff from Barbara Jean, Brock, Cheyenne, and Van. Well, the series finale was last night, and it wasn't much of a tear jerker as most finales, but it was still good. So, there you have it. My guiltiest of Guilty Pleasures. Please don't stop reading my blog.

Sorry for my non-blogging. I will try and update everyone. Let's seperate:

Life:

Okay, so I am not the very bestest at keeping New Year's Resolutions. Already I have sucked at blogging, tennis doesn't start until March, and I can't get any audition info from the local theater here in Brentwood. I don't know why I bother. Last year my resolution was to quit being so cynical and bitchy. A guy I worked with told me to make one that I would be better inclined to keep. Such as "make an effort not to take the pen when you're at the bank". Now, I thought that was funny, right before I bitch-slapped him.

Sooooo happy for the Colts and my Peyton Manning!! He wanted this so badly, and hopefully this proves to the country that he actually is as good as people gossip that he is.

Went rock climbing this weekend with a friend to Climb Nashville. Never in my life have I done something like this. And it was so fun!! Very different and very exciting. I highly recommend. And, surprisingly, I did quite well. Oh, and word to the wise...wear gloves. You'll thank me later.

The Biz:

The paper business is a lomming part of my life. I can't seem to give it up yet. I really want to. It's not fun anymore. I love the design side. I love doing the custom work. But the routiness of orders are not fun. I have gotten in a funk. My office is a mess and I hate to go in there. I have been neglecting my paper people message boards b/c I get sad/depressed/annoyed/happy all at the same time. It's very frustrating. Because at one time in my life I was very passionate about it. SUPER passionate, in fact. But not quite so much anymore. And, that, of course, may change. A major reason for this is that I love, love love my new job. It's what I wanted to do since college. I work for a well-know non-profit organization as Youth Market Director. I work with elementary and middle schools doing fundraising as well as partnering with them to have healthy schools and healthy kids. It is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. And I have never had a job that I loved (well, besides the paper biz) Every job I have had out of college was a job I got because I "had to have one". So, there. That's where I am at the moment. And I truly believe that all things happen for a reason. In fact, I am right now reading Promise Me by the uber fabulous author Harlan Coben. In it he mentions this phrase (in yiddish) Der mensch trakht un Gott lahkht , which basically translates into "Man plans, God laughs". I thought it was fitting. So, I am just going to see where this leads.

Fun Stuff:

And obsession I have at this moment in time is Scrubs. Why in the world has noone told me about this fabulously funny show??? I have literally seen all movies in which Zack Braff is in, but have never seen Scrubs until this year. And I must say...I am one Smitten Kitten. That show is hysterial. I have tried to get the husband to watch, but he doesn't get the humor. I have tried to explain that you simply must get to know each and every character to get their humor...kind of like best friends, ya know?? And me and J.D. are BFFs now.

It's a New Year!

Ohhhhh myyyyyyyy goooooodness. I have been the worst blogger imaginable. Thank you, thank you, my loyal returning visitors! I'm back! Ya know what it's like? It's like exercise. You are so into it that you do it every single day. Then you stop for one day, then two. All of a sudden a month has gone by and you feel so guilty that it's hard for you to even walk on the treadmill. Well, that's what I feel like with my blogging. But, I have vowed to be MUCH better. The problem was that I got a new job. But a FABULOUS one. One that I have wanted for oh so long. I now work as a Youth Market Director for a well-known non-profit organization. I work with elementary and middle schools with fundraising as well as raising awareness about youth obesity and physical fitness. It's a wonderful job, but it means I am no longer at a desk - hense, the lack of routine blogging.

However, I have vowed to be much better. I simply have to change my routine. Hense, numero uno on my New Year's resolutions. What are the others??

1. Start Blogging Again!
2. Get involved in a theater production
3. Play tennis competively (again)

So, there they are. Three resolutions that hopefully I will keep.

Want a fabulous story?? On Christmas Day, me and the hubby decided to get away for a couple of days, so we decided to go gambling in Tunica. Guess who I was right next to?? Justin Timberlake!! I was sooo excited. We have been watching his "Dick in a Box" from SNL all week, so I was so pumped! He was very normal acting with his sister and mother. Only two people came up to No Cameron Diaz, I'm afraid, but I was ok with that. And, in honor of that, here is the video from You Tube. Enjoy!

How was every one's Halloween? I adore Halloween. The husband hates it. Which was ok this year b/c I got invited to a party in Knoxville that I went to. This year I went as all-out as Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) from Breakfast at Tiffany's. I had it all: The tiara, (classy)beehive hairdo, jewels, black dress, gloves, etc. I must say that I really looked the part. I tried to google image "Breakfast at Tiffany's Halloween" and the costumes that came up were so "costumey". If I am going to do a costume, I want to "be" that person, ya know? Anywho, it was a blast. Funny thing is that it was a bunch of my peeps that I met up with at me reunion. Isn't it great to keep in touch? Halloween rocks.

Sorry I have been out of pocket. I forgot to tell you that I partook in a Holiday Shopping Show in Knoxville called "Tinsel & Treasure". So, I was gone Wed-Sat. Sorry Charlie.

I have been obsessed - OBSESSED - with the recent breakup of Reese and Ryan. I just can't stop talking about it. But apparently I'm not alone. This message board forum that I get most of my scoop and pictures from has 30 pages of comments regarding this. Can you believe it? I think it might have set some kind of record or something.

Good thing: I got a FABULOUS new job. I am just so excited I can't stand it. Bad thing: I'm not going to have as much time for HHD. Which is ok. I really needed a break from it anyway, but bad because we still really need money coming in. So, I'm pondering how to manage all this time wise, sine the holidays are upon us.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have separated.

The couple's rep released a statement to TMZ Monday morning that says "We are saddened to announce that Reese & Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time."

Sources tell TMZ Witherspoon has contacted celebrity divorce lawyer Robert Kaufman, who has represented Jennifer Aniston, Roseanne and Lisa Marie Presley. Sources say Witherspoon spoke with Kaufman about divorcing Ryan Phillippe, her husband of seven years. The couple has two children. They met at Witherspoon's 21st birthday party.

As for why Witherspoon contacted Kaufman, we're told it was not triggered by one event. Rather, one connected source says it was "cumulative."Divorce papers have not yet been filed.

Grey's Anatomy Looking To Replace Isaiah Washington!!

Isaiah Washington's tenure in the hospital may be over!

Producers of ABC's #1 show, Grey's Anatomy, are looking to replace the fictional doctor, reports In Touch Weekly.

The cast and crew of the show have been in an uproar after the actor violently threatened co-star Patrick "Dr. McDreamy" Dempsey and made homophobic slurs against gay castmate T.R. Knight.

Since the incident, In Touch reports that Grey's Anatomy execs have met with three possible replacements:Fast Lane's Bill Bellamy, Soul Food star Boris Kodjoe and former E.R. star Eriq LaSalle.

"Grey's Anatomy is bigger than just one actor," an insider tells the magazine. "It's about the ensemble and Isaiah threatens that chemistry."

The National Enquirer, who broke the brawl story last week, backs up In Touch's reporting.

"The melee has set off World War III on the show and may cost Isaiah his job," an insider tells The Enquirer. "The cast is divided over the shameful event."

Sara Evan's Husband attacks back - SCOOP!!

Wow. It's just getting worse and worse. So much for Sara's lovely plan about protecting her family and kids.

Sara Evans' husband says his wife cheated on him and he found out the day before she filed for divorce. In these here court documents, Craig Schelske claims the day before Sara filed divorce papers, he "discovered Wife's intimate relationship with another man not her husband and an argument ensued between the parties." (I have heard that the 'MAN' in question might be a Mr. Kenny Chesney - but also people are saying that it might be Tony Dovolani, her "Dancing with the Stars" partner - Ummmm, even though me thinks that they are both probably gay).

In his legal papers, Schelske also denies having a penchant for porn. He says, however, that on one occasion, both he and his wife "were watching adult entertainment together when their oldest child, whom they believed to be secure and asleep, entered their room...."

He has also denied that he was even unfaithful. Any says that "any sexual photographs of himself with any other women as there are no authentic photographs of husband unclothed with any sexual partner or alone except as taken by Wife or with Wife on the single occasion in which both parties participated."

Oh! And what about this?? Schelske even says that yes, there are photos of his 'member', but those were takebn by Sara herself. Interesting...

BREAKING NEWS Keith Urban Enters Rehab!

Wow on this one as well. I truly didn't see this one coming. Damn...

It appeared his life was picture perfect, but now Keith Urban says he's been battling alcohol abuse and has entered a treatment rehabilitation center.
According to a statement issued by Urban's publicist, the country singer checked himself in last night with Nicole Kidman, his wife of four months, by his side.Urban says, "I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me." He adds, "One can never let one's guard down on recovery and I'm afraid that I have."
Urban's statement ends with this message: "With the strength and unwavering support I am blessed to have from my wife, family and friends, I am determined and resolved to a positive outcome."This is not Urban's first stint in rehab. The singer sought help in late 1998 for drug and alcohol abuse. Urban, who has admitted to free basing cocaine, once told USA Weekend Magazine "I had this house in Nashville where I used to do drugs. ... I remember one night crawling around on my hands and knees, looking for these little rocks at five in the morning."

Grey's Anatomy T.R. Knight is gay, he has confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE.

"I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there," Knight tells PEOPLE in a statement. "While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me."

Knight, 33, plays the unassuming Dr. George O'Malley on the hit ABC drama. A Minneapolis native, he began his career in that city's famed Guthrie Theater. He has also appeared on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

Damn! It's all your fault that my fave TV shows are going to be no longer. So pretty please with sugar on top, watch these shows! Have I ever led you astray? Hell no! The following (of course my favorites this year) shows are slipping into no man's land in the ratings and really need your support! I don't care about the others, but REALLY, REALLY care about Studio 60, The Nine, and Six Degrees. Seriously you guys, they are wonderfully acted and written, and have great story lines. Give them a chance, kay??

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC): It’s been losing viewers every week but seems to have leveled out somewhat (and the big names attached certainly help its cause).

LIKELY DOOMED

The Nine (ABC): With 8.4 million viewers in its most recent airing last week, The Nine slipped 2 million viewers from its premiere and sank further down in its second half hour…all this despite being the “best new show” according to some critics.
Six Degrees (ABC): The bad news is the ratings are slipping week to week (down 34 percent from the Sept. 21 premiere). The really bad news is that Six keeps losing viewers in the second half hour of each episode (2.1 million tuned out half way through last week).
Standoff (Fox): The network ordered three more scripts, but if ratings don’t improve, it’ll have to stand down.
'Til Death (Fox): Currently on hiatus (and in need of better scripts to keep viewers around).
Twenty Good Years (NBC): Our beloved George Bluth (Jeffrey Tambor) lost a million viewers from the lead-in audience of 30 Rock .
Vanished (Fox): With hunky leading man Gale Harold out (why, God, why?) and the series moving to Friday, all signs are pointing toward impending doom.

GOOD AS GONE

Happy Hour (Fox): On hiatus and unlikely to return.
Runaway (The CW): How low can a new CW show go? Apparently, 1.8 million viewers.

My thoughts on Sara Evans

Here is my response to all the hubbub going on here in Nash Vegas (and country-wide also) about Sara Evans quitting Dancing with the Stars and filing for divorce from Craig Schelske. Okay, hang on, let me try and climb up on top of my soap box. Ok. Whew! That was hard. Okay, here we go:

First off, you cannot begin to tell me that she JUST found out about all of this within 24 hours. Divorces don't work that way. (At least so I'm told.) There has been researching, snooping, etc finding out all of this. She has already stated that one of her children found him watching said porn in September. Fine. So we know that this has probably been going on at least since then.

Secondly, she quit Dancing With The Stars so she could spend more time with her children, yadda yadda yadda. Why would you oh so dramatically quit right in the middle of a HUGE top-10 program with such big and gross accusations and draw EVEN MORE publicity to your family and your personal issues? Why not wait a month or so and then do it? I mean, you are in Los Angeles anyway filming, and your kids are probably there with you anyway, right? Me thinks something here is askew.

Thirdly, I don't know how many celebrity divorces I have ever heard of where not only can we know exactly what happened, but we can also read the divorce papers online (it's a pdf). I'm sorry, but if they really wanted to keep it secret, they COULD HAVE. Think Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Think Kenny Chesney and Renee Zellweger. (Ummm, we still don't know what 'fraud' means, do we? - NOPE) Sara is just talking left and right with the press. Saying he cheated with their nanny (Which the nanny and Craig have denied, of course) Even recently stating that he moved money from their joint account.

Fourthly, Dancing with the Stars is playing up this huge interview with her during Tuesday's episode. Does she really need to give a interview to the press, and draw even more attention to herself? Ummm. Does it matter that millions of people will be viewing it? Um, sure.

I will conclude with this: Sara, I do love you and you music. I do not deny that these things happened. However, if you are seriously worried about the pain, attention, etc that this is causing your family and children, then keep your trap shut! I just think it's very, very strange. And I think she knows exactly what she is doing.

My girlfriend and I saw them in Brentwood Tuesday night (10-10-06). We were eating at Peter's Sushi bar in the Brentwood Kroger shopping center. Nicole eats there all the time and we have seen here there before but never with Keith. Tuesday night we were walking out and a 2006 black Bentley drove past us and I was like "that is a sweet car" We were walking across the parking lot and I looked throught the windshield and said "That's Keith Urban!" At that time Keith and Nicole got out and headed into Peter's. But not before a crazed fan cut them off with their car and jumped out to get a picture.

What is the crap is going on here? This is just nuts! These crazy peeps! So not only is Kevin Federline he speculating that he and Britney's son, Sutton Pierce Federline isn't his real name, but Sutton might be a "she", not "he"

Kevin talked to Seattle's Jackie and Bender this morning about being on CSI (airing last night) as well as his album, and new baby...

Jackie: There's rumors that Sutton is not a boy. Have you heard that?

Sister Hazel at the Exit/In

Went and saw Sister Hazel at the Exit/In last night with a friend of mine. She used to live in FL and used to see them twice a year, and is a huge fan. I know one song that they sing, but decided to go along b/c I thought it would be fun. They are touring at the moment promoting their new CD, Absolutely

What a great show they put on! They are very, very good. And if you know the one song that I do, you would be pleasantly surprised. Of all the songs they did play last night, that one was probably my least favorite. They have great chemistry together and were just so m=fun to watch. So, if they happen to come to your area, do go see them. Consider them now a Hottie Haute Band.

Funny Story about last night: So, we were standing there enjoying our beers and two girls approach us. This is what took place:

Them: "How old are you all"?

Us: "Huh?"

Them: "Are you over 21"

Us: "Um, yes, well over 21"

Them(sneakily): "Do you think you could buy us a drink - we'll give you money and everything"

Us: Shock and giggles/cannot even believing what we are hearing- "Um, seriously? Are you effing kidding me? What would you want?"

Them: "Amaretto Sour". (Of course thetas what they want - of course)

Whoa - Sara Evans quits 'Dancing', Files for Divorce

Wow. Leave it to our local sleuths to find out the true-blue nitty gritty dirt. Sara Evans filed from divorce from her hubby, citing adultery and pornography. My qualm with all this is why today? Why now? Dancing With The Stars won't be on that much longer. I just figured she might not want to do this whole media/family circus right in the middle, ya know? I am sure to get some nice google searches after this article. (and as you know, I have seen them both together and they looked so happy, boo)

Sara Evans filed for divorce Thursday from her husband of 13 years, Craig Schelske, in Williamson County, alleging that he had committed adultery, verbally abused her and frequently watched pornography at home. On Thursday, Evans announced that she has dropped out of the ABC show “Dancing with the Stars” to give her family her full attention.According to the document filed in chancery court, Schelske allegedly has on his computer at least 100 photographs of himself posing in an aroused state. There are several photographs of him having sex with other women, the filings stated.
“On his computers, husband maintains ‘Craigs Lists.’ Many of them involve requests for three party sex and anal sex. Husband’s ‘Craigs Lists’ are composed of personal ads on his personal sex engine involving him and prospective sex partners,” the documents stated.
Evans, 35, requested a temporary restraining order prohibiting Schelske from physically and verbally abusing her, exposing their three young children to pornographic materials of any kind, consuming alcoholic beverages to excess in front of Evans or the children, and taking their children to Oregon, which would interfere with her temporary and pending custody. “Wife further alleges that husband has told wife that he is taking the children to Oregon and continually interferes with wife’s possession of and parenting time with the parties’ minor children,” stated the document. No court date has been set.
