WHAT IS PHISHING ATTACK?

It is a well known method which is similar to actual fishing. In fishing, we use a bait (Chaara) to attract fishes and to capture them. Similarly, in this method a hacker uses a bait, i.e., he uses fake messages, emails or websites in order to attract and steal personal information like usernames, passwords, bank details, etc. These messages can be about winning big prizes, lucky draws, verifying personal details, etc. which looks legit.

Sometimes these emails or messages may be about verifying about the user's bank details and it might look coming straight from the bank but these messages can be a trap. Instead of verifying the details the hacker will get hold of these sensitive data.

Fake websites are made which would look normal to us. For example, it is possible to create a fake instagram website, which looks exactly similar, asking your personal information like your account and password. But if you input your personal details it will be visible to the hacker who created the website. Other fake website seems to be coming from a trustworthy or famous source but you must be careful before sharing your personal details.

TYPES OF PHISHING ATTACK:

SPEAR PHISHING: This type of attack is exactly similar to what is been told above. A fake website, message, email, etc. is made which is then used to steal sensitive information. The only difference is that, normally when we use the term "Phishing attack" it refers to a large scale attack where there is no specific target. The victims are those who gets caught in this trap. It could be anyone as this attack spread through internet. But in "Spear Phishing", there is specific target. It could be an organization, company, etc. The attack is executed only on that particular target. The advantage of it is that as there is a particular target, the attacker can plan the attack by collecting information against the victim, finding the weaknesses and then attack according to it. This increases the probability of success.

CLONE PHISHING: Clone Phishing is an attack where a previously received mail containing an attachment or link is used by the hacker to create an almost same email with malicious substitutions which seems like the authentic ones. In this method there is no specific target. The hacker spreads these emails, messages, etc. as much as possible. Once, someone when clicks on the attachment or link, that user becomes a victim. If you input any personal details, the hacker will get hold of it. One hacker can also make a fake facebook website which will be exactly similar. If you input your account and password the it would be visible to the hacker. The given image shows facebook website which looks authentic. But if you look closely at the URL of the website it is written "Facelook" instead of "Facebook". This is how hackers trick you.

WHALE PHISHING: This attack focuses on high- profile companies or organization which are powerful and wealthy. Moreover, this attack targets the employees with high post such as CEO OR CFO. It is nearly impossible for a single hacker to execute such a big attack. Therefore it takes a group of hackers to carry out such attack. If this attack becomes successful, in one way the hackers have got hold of something very big. That is why it is called "Whale Phishing". The hacker can get hold of very important information which can be used to weaken the company. Also, they can ask for a big amount of money if the company doesn't want any kind of loss giving the hacker financial benefit.

Robots have the power to surpass human capabilities in almost every field. Scientist have made incredible progress in AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology which enables a machine to perform tasks like humans on their own. And now, scientist have develop artificial skin which will help them to gain a sense of touch.

Robots are one step closer to gaining a human sense that has so far eluded them: Touch. In 2019, researchers introduced artificial skin developed by the Technical University of Munich. The artificial skin, made up of hexagon-shaped silicone cells about 1 inche in diameter, can detect contact, acceleration, proximity and temperature. Some claim that soon in some cases they will be able to feel pain. It is major step towards next generation robotics and prosthetic limbs. According to the scientist these artificial skin is as sensitive as the human skin.

Ali Javey, an associate professor of computer sciences at the university of California at Berkeley, who led one of the research teams made a prototype. It comprise of nanowires made of Germanium and Silicon rolled onto a sticky polymide film.

The team then laid nano-scale transistors on top, followed by a flexible, pressure- sensitive rubber. The prototype, measuring 49 square centimetres (7.6 square inches), can detect pressure ranging from 0 to 15 kilopadcals, comparable to the force used for such daily activities as typing on a keyboard or holding an object.

A different approach was taken by a team led by Zhenan Bao, a Chinese- born associate professor at Stanford University in California who has gained a reputation as one of the top women chemists in the United States.

Their approach was to use a rubber film that changes thickness due to pressure, and employ capacitors, integrated into the material, to measure the difference. It cannot be stretched, though.

"Our response time is comparable with human skin, it's very fast, within milliseconds, or thousands of a second," Bao told AFP. "That means in real terms that we can feel thepressure instantaneously."

Bao added important caveats about the challenges ahead. One is about improving the new sensors. They respond to constant pressure, whereas in human skin more complex sensations are possible.

This is because the pressure-sensing cells int the skin can send different frequencies of signal -- for instance when we feel something painful or sharp, the frequency increases, alerting us to the threat.

In addition, Bao warned, "connecting the artificial skin with the human nerve system will be a very challenging task."

Ultimately, in the very distant future, we would like to make a skin which performs really like human skin and to be able to connect it to nerve cells on the arm and thus restore sensation.

"Initially, the prototype that we envision would be more like a handheld device, or maybe a device that connects to other parts of the body that have skin sensation."

"The device would generate a pulse that would stimulate other parts of the skin, giving the kind of signal 'my (artificial) hand is touching something', for instance."

ADVANTAGE OF ARTIFICIAL SKIN:

"Humans generally know how to hold a fragile egg without breaking it", said Ali Javey."If we ever wanted a robot that could unload the dishes, for instance, we'd want to make sure it doesn't the wine glasses in the process. But we'd also want the robot to grip the stock pot without dropping it."

Imagine, if scientist successfully invent an artificial skin which works completely like a human skin then the people who have lost the sense of touch somehow or those who need prosthetic organs will regain that sense of touch and can work in their day to day life without any problem.

John Yiannis Aloimonos, a professor with the University of Maryland's Department of Computer Science, said such artificial skin "enables robots to perceive their surroundings much greater detail and with more sensitivity. This not only helps them to move safely but also makes them safer when operating near people and gives them the ability to anticipate and actively avoid accidents."

Researchers say skin is important because a robot needs to discern the unspoken communication that goes on among humans. mastering such nonverbal communications would be a quantum leap for robots. It can also be combined with other 'robotic senses', such as sight or hearing. Such milestones will take today's technology at a very different level

Supercomputers are used to perform highly complicated tasks such as quantum mechanics, weather forecasting, space explorations, and so on, which require high performance specialised calculations.

Fugaku, which was developed by Fujitsu (FJTSF) and government research institute Riken, ranked first in the Top500 list of global supercomputers, Fujitsu and Riken announced on Tuesday. It marks the first time a Japanese system has taken the top slot since 2011. This marks the return of a Japanese supercomputer at the top spot after nine years, beating out its US and Chinese counterparts. It is also the first time that a supercomputer based on ARM processors has topped the benchmarking list. Fugaku has further secured the number one position in other major rankings that test supercomputers on different parameters. Fugaku on Monday featured at the spot in the biennial TOP500 publication. The last time a Japan-based supercomputer secured the top position was in 2011, also developed by Riken and Fujitsu. The supercomputer is known as the "K computer".

The Top500 measures benchmarks such as processing speed and the performance of computing used in artificial intelligence and deep learning.

Fugaku can perform more than 415 quadrillion (or 415,000 trillion) computations a second, making it 2.8 times faster than Summit, the supercomputer built by IBM (IBM) which previously held the top spot.

Fugaku is powered by Fujitsu's 48-core A64FX SoC and is 2.8 times faster than the IBM's Summit supercomputer - which holds the second spot in this year's Top500 list. The Japanese supercomputer has also attained top rankings in other publications such as Graph 500, HPL-AI, and HPCG.

Powered by chips from SoftBank-owned (SFTBY SOFTBANK) Arm, the Japanese supercomputer knocked Summit into second place. Sierra, another US-built system, took third place, and two supercomputers developed by Chinese national research institutes, Sunway TaihuLight and Tianhe-2A, rounded out the top five.

What Is A Cyber Attack?

Basically, a CYBER ATTACK is an attempt to gain unauthorised control over a computer system or network. A group of black hat hackers or a single hacker tries to breach the security of a computer system. This usually happens on a large scale. The purpose behind a CYBER ATTACK is to get financial benefit, to steal identity, etc.

TYPES OF CYBER ATTACKS:

DICTIONARY ATTACK: We all use passwords in order to increase the security of a system. Dictionary Attack is like a guessing game which is used to crack passwords.
The hackers used this method in order to get access to a system by guessing passwords. A program or a software is used in this method which contains all the common passwords that can be. The software tries every common password in order to get an unauthorised access. It is only useful against the users who use common passwords. There is another trick in this method. For this trick the hacker must have every single information about the user like name, birth date, any pet name, hobby, family member, career, etc. Then the hacker will input all the personal information into a script. The script will make a dictionary of every possible password using that information and will try to crack it. It is the most common and easy way to crack any password.
PHISHING ATTACK
PHISHING: It is a well known method which is similar to actual fishing. In fishing, we use a bait(Chaara) to attract fishes and to capture them. Similarly, in this method a hacker uses a bait, i.e., he uses fake messages, emails or websites in order to attract and steal personal information like usernames, passwords, bank details, etc. These messages can be about winning big prizes, lucky draws, etc which looks legit. Sometimes these emails or messages may be about verifying about the user's bank details and it might look coming straight from the bank but these messages can be a trap. Instead of verifying the details the hacker will get hold of these sensitive data. Fake websites are made which would look normal to us. Like it is possible to create a fake facebook website, which looks exactly similar, asking your personal information like your account and password. But if you input your personal details it will be visible to the hacker who created the website. Other fake website seems to be coming from a trustworthy or famous source but you must be careful before sharing your personal details.
DOS (Denial of service) and DDOS (Distributed denial of service) Attack: The aim of both attacks is same, which is, to increase the traffic on website to overload it with request for connection, etc. Until the server or website will not get down or beyond it's capacity resulting in shutting down of the website temporarily. For example, think of a normal road where vehicles are moving. If many vehicles try to move together at the same time it will create traffic as the road isn't wide enough to hold so many vehicles. Due to this, all the vehicles get block and the whole road becomes inactive. The difference: 'DOS Attack' is used against small and weak websites. A hacker uses a software which automatically sends innumerable request to get access to the websites. At a point the website cannot hold anymore request so it crashes and shuts itself down. On the another hand, 'DDOS Attack' is used against web servers of high-profile organizations such as banking, commerce, and media companies, or government and trade organizations. Also, DDOS Attack can be performed by a group of hackers. The target is a big and more secured website that is why to shut it down the hackers need to generate more traffic. For this, they first hack into many networking devices like mobile phone without the user's knowledge. It can be done by spreading malware about which you can read below. It creates a botnet, meaning a group of networking devices which are hacked and can be controlled by someone else. This botnet consist of millions of devices. Then the hackers use this botnet to bombard the website with innumerable request which crashes the website and now no one can access it. The reason behind carrying this attack may be to get extortion money or there might be competition between two organisation and by shutting one of the two websites will automatically attract more customers on the another one.
MALWARE: A malware is any software which is designed to cause damage or corrupt a computer system, data, network, etc. It is used to carry out malicious activity. It enters a computer system without the knowledge of the owner. There are different types of malware with different purposes:

*In General usage we all use the term "computer virus" include all forms of "malware" ,or Malicious software.

VIRUS: Like a virus in real life, computer viruses are harmful for computers as they can corrupt the whole computer system. It can replicate itself and if not stop it would destroy the whole computer system. But computer virus aren't independent. It write its own code in the host Program or host computer. It cannot spread unless we try to spread it. If a file is Infected in a computer, sharing of that file to other computers will transmit the virus thereby damaging the other computer. Also, virus doesn't need human interaction to execute itself. Just after entering a system it begins to fulfill it's purpose. But some virus need to be open or run to execute the virus Example - if a virus is embeded behind any software or a file the virus will not execute itself until the file is not opened. on the other hand there are some virus which execute itself after entering the system.
WORMS: Unlike viruses a, computer worm is a complete and independent program. It can spread from computer to computer and will keep replicating itself. It spreads over a network and consumes the network resources to a large extent. Worms can enter a computer system as an attachment through spam emails, messages or someone might install thinking it as a boost for a computer system. Worms keep replicating itself which leads to consumption of large resources such as transmission capacity, disk storage and denying services to others.
TROJAN: A Trojan is code a which can have various purposes like getting control over some of the computer systems, stealing data, stealing sensitive information, etc. A Trojan is not an independent malware. It needs to be executed by it's creator. It can enter your computer by fake emails, message, websites, software which looks authentic and trustworthy.
SPYWARE: You might know about the different spy movies where a spy keeps an eye on a particular target and sends every single information about it to his boss. Similarly, a Spyware when enters a computer system, it sends all its sensitive data to it's creator like Browsing history, cookies, location, system information, company details, etc. It keeps an eye on all the activities of the user without his or her knowledge. But a Spyware can never gain control over a system.
RANSOMWARE: Ransomware is like kidnapping. A kidnapper kidnaps someone and then he asks for ransom or a payment for the victim's freedom. Similarly, in a Ransomware attack, when a malicious software enters a computer system it encrypts all the data in the computer. Meaning it locks the complete data of the computer which makes it impossible for the user to get an access to that data. This software can enter your computer system through a fake email, while visiting an infected site, when you install an unknown software, etc. All these methods look very trustworthy and legit. This encryption or lock can only be opened with a type of subscription key. The hacker sends a message to the owner that if he/she wants the key to get access the data, a ransom must be paid for it mainly through an untraceable bitcoin payment. After the payment the owner gets the key with which he/she can access the computer again.

10 Steve Harrington

Though a fan-favorite he's not the brightest character on this list, hence why he's at the bottom. But his comedic timing is perfect, whether it's with Nancy, the kids or even by himself which is why Stranger Things wouldn't be the same without him. Season 1 introduced us to a typical high school idiot who's too focused on Nancy, drinking and sex rather than his studies. But after a breakup, a fight and an ice cream job at the Starcourt Mall, Steve's grown up. Though doubtful of Demogorgon's existence, his nail-spiked bat came in handy when the time came. On top of that, the Dustin and Steve duo budded into a friendship that became a staple of Season 3; their partnership got them into the secret Russian base.

9 Jonathon Byers

The loving yet reserved brother of Will, Jonathon is not the person we know in Seasons 2 and 3. It's not until he opens up to Nancy Wheeler that he becomes the man, brother, and boyfriend fans love and adore. His love of photography is a bit creepy at first, snapping photos in the dark and hidden from sight. But it's through his passion he's able to discover the horrible Demogorgon that killed Barb (who deserved better, such a tragedy). So, without his odd nature, the Demogorgon may have never been discovered without the help of Jonathon and his camera. Not to mention his ingenious idea to trap the Demogorgon in his home, he's a man of many talents.

8 Lucas Sinclair

As one of the core members of the group, Lucas provides comedic relief but a rational and mature mindset. Especially in Season 1, his skepticism towards Eleven is prejudiced but logical. With Will missing and the introduction of Eleven into their group, Lucas is forced to act as Juror 8 in the argument. However, his differences with Mike end up separating them despite both sides making some valid points. Outside of this, Lucas has stepped up in times of need. Season 3 brought about the biggest monster the show has seen. A slingshot may not be much, but it's the thought and will to act that counts.

7 Nancy Wheeler

Intuitive and perceptive, Nancy is instinctive and not afraid of a fight. Her selfless nature (despite some sibling animosity in Season 1) labels her as one of the most important in the series, risking her life in the face of death numerous times. It's because of this Nancy earns the title of being one of the bravest characters in the series, let alone intelligent. Her relationship with Jonathon is one of the best in the series as opposites certainly do attract. But it's in their relationship the two are able to benefit from one another, often brainstorming some clever ideas in a small amount of time. That fire trap was no easy feat, no to mention her skills with a handgun.

6 Will Byers

Poor Will can't get a break, first, he's trapped in Upside-Down then he's haunted by visions of it afterward. All the while he's trying to remain a normal kid in school who just wants to play DnD with his friends in Mike's basement. Then he comes to terms with his age with the tear-jerker of a scene that was the destruction of Castle Byers. Despite his recent maturity, his nerdy wit remains and even comes in handy in Season 2. His fluency in Morse Code leads to the downfall of the Mind Flayer and his understanding of the Upside-Down allows him to draw a map without even realizing it. Will's faced some tough situations and the odds have a lways been against his favor, but his intellect and perseverance always prevail.

5 Joyce Byers

If there was a Mother of the Year Award it'd go to Joyce, no questions asked. Her instincts as a parent and refusal to give up on her son made viewers cry by the end of Season 1. Her defiance towards the shady government organization transcends the power they hold and the Demogorgon as well. No other character embodies such strength like her considering she went an entire season trying to get her son back. Her light system to communicate with Will, her theory on the magnets, her voice never goes unheard and most of the time, she's never wrong. Despite the occasional resistance from others to listen to her, Joyce sticks by her principles as a mother, making her one of the most admirable characters in the show.

4 Eleven

Eleven may seem naive as her adjustment to the outside world is still unfolding, but her sense of judgment and kind heart lead her to the right decision. Early on, trust is hard to come by considering her upbringing. But once she meets Mike and co., she realizes the value of friendship and the ability to rely on others as friends. Her power gives her great strength, but to quote Ben Parker, it comes with great responsibility. Initially impulsive, Eleven slowly learns to harness her strength and appreciate the gift bestowed upon her. She's without a doubt the most powerful character on this list, but also possesses a selfless nature like Nancy. Her sacrifice in Season 1 proved her love for the friends she's made, a decision not made likely. Season 4 will be a test as Hopper's absence will take a great toll on her both mentally and physically.

3 Jim Hopper

The lonely constable with a troubled past lingering behind him, it goes without saying Hopper is a fan favorite. Whether it's his approach to parenting, great one-liners, or name-calling Grigori as Smirnoff, Hopper has a special place in fan's hearts regardless of intelligence. But as the Sherrif of Hawkins, Hopper has endured an immense amount considering all that's happened in the span of 3 seasons. Like Joyce, Hopper approaches things head-on with a shoot first and ask questions later mentality. His bravery does not go unnoticed and neither does his quick clever thinking. Getting in and out of some dangerous spots, realizing his house has been bugged, his detective skills serve him well. Despite the comedic relief he provides, Hopper has his moments of brilliance.

2 Mike Wheeler

The unofficial leader of the group, Mike doesn't give up on his friends (although he makes his relationship with Eleven a priority over his friends from to time) and keeps the crew intact. His belief in group integrity forces him to make some tough decisions, but he remains the only person to see the good in Eleven. When everyone else was frightened, Mike was intrigued and sought to help rather than neglect. Mike's spirit is what keeps the group going, reminding them of who they are even if it's a reference to Star Wars or DnD.

1 Dustin Henderson

Honestly, what's not to love about Dustin? His adorable lisp, nerdy wit and warm smile grant him the title as the most intelligent in the series. Though very young, it's Dustin's brilliant ideas that get a handful of people out of hot situations. On top of that, the love he carries for his friends, family, and even monsters is unparalleled. A scientist at heart, Dustin has an appreciation for Sci-Fi like no other, and his passion for it all makes him the expert of the group when confronted with the toughest of challenges.

Ethical hacker also help the security agency to identify the unethical hackers and to stop them from making an attempt to break into the system. Today Ethical Hackers are very crucial as computers are used everywhere. Ethical hacker can be find in a private or government company or departments to protect the company sensitive data , In Intelligent Agency to maintain the cyber security and to locate the unethical hacker , In Military to get the every single information of the enemy and to keep eye on the opponent . UNETHICAL HACKER OR BLACK HAT HACKER :- This type of Hacker also finds vulnerability in the system and bypasses it's security but without the permission of the system's owner. These are the unethical hackers. They hack any software, network, etc. for their personal and selfish gain. They may steal a company's data or may breach into the security system illegally and start molding or playing with it. Then they would ask for ransom if the company wants them to stop. They find the vulnerabilities of the system but never report it to the owner. They are dangerous as they can cause financial loss, loss of sensitive data, identity, etc. Sometimes Black Hat Hacker hack into various systems just for fun or to enjoy their hacking skills. There are many incidents where black hat hackers bypasses various security systems and they leak it on the internet for free.

GREY HAT HACKER :- These are neither white hat nor black hat. These hackers perform hacking for their own benefit but they don't have any wrong intentions. A grey hat hacker also find vulnerabilities in a computer system and bypasses it's security but without the permission of the owner. Still they never cause any harm to others. Unlike black hat hackers, as soon as grey hat hackers find any weak points in a system, they prepare a full report of it and ask for a small fee to the owner in exchange of the report. So basically they might hack into a system illegally but they don't cause any harm to it. But there can be cases where a grey hat hacker can turn into a black hat hacker.

SCRIPT KIDDIES :- These are unskilled and inexperienced hackers who knows very about hacking. They have very poor programming skills. As we saw previously, a hacker writes a script or creates a program of hacking all by himself. But, in case of Script Kiddies, as they lack these essentials skills they are unable to write their own program. Therefore they use scripts which are written by other skilled hackers. These scripts are easily available on internet. Script Kiddies lack the knowledge about how the script works. They use it without knowing how it works. Script Kiddies can be beginners in hacking or they may be teenagers which perform hacking just to impress their friends.

Ali Javey, an associate professor of computer sciences at the university of California at Berkeley, who led one of the research teams made a prototype. It comprise of nanowires made of Germanium and Silicon rolled onto a sticky polymide film.

A different approach was taken by a team led by Zhenan Bao, a Chinese- born associate professor at Stanford University in California who has gained a reputation as one of the top women chemists in the United States.

Their approach was to use a rubber film that changes thickness due to pressure, and employ capacitors, integrated into the material, to measure the difference. It cannot be stretched, though.

"Our response time is comparable with human skin, it's very fast, within milliseconds, or thousands of a second," Bao told AFP. "That means in real terms that we can feel thepressure instantaneously."

Bao added important caveats about the challenges ahead. One is about improving the new sensors. They respond to constant pressure, whereas in human skin more complex sensations are possible.

This is because the pressure-sensing cells int the skin can send different frequencies of signal -- for instance when we feel something painful or sharp, the frequency increases, alerting us to the threat.

In addition, Bao warned, "connecting the artificial skin with the human nerve system will be a very challenging task."

Ultimately, in the very distant future, we would like to make a skin which performs really like human skin and to be able to connect it to nerve cells on the arm and thus restore sensation.

"Initially, the prototype that we envision would be more like a handheld device, or maybe a device that connects to other parts of the body that have skin sensation."

"The device would generate a pulse that would stimulate other parts of the skin, giving the kind of signal 'my (artificial) hand is touching something', for instance."

ADVANTAGE OF ARTIFICIAL SKIN:

"Humans generally know how to hold a fragile egg without breaking it", said Ali Javey."If we ever wanted a robot that could unload the dishes, for instance, we'd want to make sure it doesn't the wine glasses in the process. But we'd also want the robot to grip the stock pot without dropping it."

Imagine, if scientist successfully invent an artificial skin which works completely like a human skin then the people who have lost the sense of touch somehow or those who need prosthetic organs will regain that sense of touch and can work in their day to day life without any problem.
