what a weekend!

Im sorry I didnt post yesterday at all!

My weekend was a bit stressful and I needed Monday to recuperate.

I want to know if im the only one that ends up with a mad house after the weekend? I had to clean, pick up, organized, etc literally everything in the house. I feel like after the weekend I have so many dishes to wash you would think I have at least 4 kids! I wanted to drink coffee in the morning but i had to do the dishes before even starting the coffee maker. Yeah, Yeah, I know its my fault because I dont keep up my routine on the weekends but I do try.

I missed Mailbox Monday and I had taken the pictures and I had my little pile next to computer so i could write my post but nope I had no inspiration. Ugh!

So please bare with me while I get a few post up today.

I need to go to Albertsons and use my last doublers because they expire today.

She is so pretty and she has quite a personality. She ignores you and adores you all in the same minute.

She wakes up early and waits outside our door. We open the door and she cuddles with hubby for a few minutes she purrs her little heart out to him then the fun starts... he gets up and starts getting ready. Bella starts attacking me. Jumping in the bed. Scratching on the carpet. Jumping on top of me. Trying to open blinds. Crying and meowing. So i have to get up and feed her. And I close the door behind me and get back in bed for a few more min. Yup, Between 7-7:30 am i do not like her!

Weekend Recap

Friday we took a little road trip. No pictures. It was fun. Plus we saw some friends and ended up eating steak for dinner. Lol. We just happen to show up at the perfect time. It was really good! My friend use the Jack Daniels marinade sauce. Its a little bag and you just put the steak shake it and its ready for the grill (Ok i dont know if its the simple because when we got there they were ready hehehe)

Saturday we went to Little Italy Mercato. OMG, it was sunny! I lost my sunglasses a few weeks ago. Hubby had just misplaced his, so we were complaining - scratch that, i was complaining because it was too sunny for me. We ran all the way to the top and walked against the sun.

We looked around. I got Organic Iced Latte and hubby picked a Lemonade~ he needed a fast sugar rush. Lol. The cup was "100% COMPOSTABLE" and "MADE FROM CORN" how cool is that?

After we went to look for some cheap sunglasses. It was a mission but i came out with a pretty decent pair for a fair price. Hubby was another story.

We didn't leave before he got me flowers. So sweet!

I will post a full picture for Wordless Wednesday. They smell really nice. And come on, flowers always make a girl happy.

We had brunch at Super Cocina. Yum Yum.

and to end the night we tried Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria. (so not good for the diet, BTW) it was good. We are not fans of deep dish pizzas but this was different, different good!

The put chunky tomatoe sauce on top.

We got there around 8:30 pm which was perfect because it started to get busy right after.

Sunday was very slow. Hubby went shopping for me. I stay in PJs all day. And now im ready to face next week.

Friday Frustrations- Randomness

This week I had a few moments when I was frustated.

1. CVS Pharmacist got me upset because he would not take my $5.00 printable coupon. Grrrr Manager around just shrugged her shoulders. I was sick.

2. Staples and hole punches. YES i am weird like that but this week i was so frustrated with the overwhelming amount of staples some files have and why do people hole punch crooked and too close to the top? Dont hole punchers point the exact place?

3. Closet. Yup I once again was frustated because i let it get out of control and i had to move and go through alot of stuff to get it back to "organize mode"

4. Bellas Budget. I realized that it takes about 30% of our budget. Why is cat litter so expensive? and why is she so picky with her food?

and I had other frustration but its best to save those for my private journal. LoL

PS. Yup i was 8 min to late to post this on Friday :-/ but we took a road trip and blogging went out the window for a couple of hours LoL

Thursday Challenge: New Breakfast Recipe

Peanut Butter Baked Oatmeal

3 cups quick cooking oats

1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
extra milk for serving

Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Spread in a greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. If you like it a little crunchy on top cook for a few minutes longer. Serve with warm milk poured over top. Enjoy!

Ok, so i was reading I Am A Money Magnet! and her menu plan for this week includes this recipe. How yummy does it sound??

Hubby loves oatmeal. Im ok with it! i know its good for you, blah blah blah!
Hubby like Peanut Butter... I dont like it much! I could eat a PB&J but its not something i crave.

In an effort to try new recipes, I made this and it was super yummy!! Check out my picture after i cut hubby's piece. He was running late just because i wanted him to wait till it was ready! Yup, Its a sign that i need to get up earlier!

I think it was extra good for me because i been sick and avoiding dairy but today was a new day! I have the feeling this will become a regular here.

Tuesday: 10 Things I'm Looking Forward to in 2010

1. starting over. Yup, 2009 started kindofsortainaway slow but it ended really good. regardless im glad we have a new year to start over alot of things and continue many more.

2. taking our business to the next phase. we learned alot with mistakes and successes and i am sure that this year we will take it further. becoming more green and more technology advanced.

3. making this year more about family and friends. one of my goals is to become a better wife, daughter, sister and friend. must call mom often to make sure she knows we are ok and to know that she is ok.

4. getting in shape! yup, im putting it out there for everyone to read! LOL even if i dont stick to it everyday of the year i will get back. thats what i will be focusing on. trying to change the lifestyle. i need to start taking extra care of my skin.

5. List, To-Do, Schedule, Organize, and stick to it! i want to make the bed everyday, also on the weekends!, keep our closet organized! (and yes this is one thing im looking forward! LOL or at least thats what im telling myself!) keeping track of savings, etc.

6. start different savings fund. coffee fund (yes, hubby and i cant get over the coffee shops and their expensive coffee, not so frugal i know!) insurance fund, deductibles fund, vacations fund, next year funds, and hopefully we can also start saving for future baby fund!

7. live my life to the fullest! i want to remember having lots of fun when i was young! lol because i am young! i want to remember that i realized my dreams and fought for my goals/dreams.i want to be happy and have a good attitude everyday. ok i know it cant be everyday because i am me and i could get a little crazy sometimes but i want to make a conscious effort to be happy and make the people around me happy. yup, that sounds so nice but i know its hard! be more optimistic.

8. networking industry related and blog related! I want to meet more blogging friends. I have always loved the internet and now that meet ups are so common i think it will be easier to meet new friends here in san diego.

9. new TV Shows Seasons. I am sooooo looking forward for Greys Anatomy new season Jan 14th and many others.

10. seeing the results of the last nine! LOL

Wow and I thought the world was going to end 2002!

Im going to do a little review of the past year. It was exciting, new, and most of all challenging.

JANUARY: We celebrated my BFFs B-day clubbing in LA along with other friends and my cousin Inoelia. I quit my job at the Law Office and moved to San Diego. Seven months after we got married we were finally going to move in together and start our family.

FEBRUARY: I started a new job at a new Law Firm. It was not so much fun but I lived through it. LOL

MARCH: I started to hate, hate my job! Like really! i was crying and everything every morning! We went to a concert. Alejandra Guzman, Fobia, Moenia and Moderatto rocked our world for the rest of the month.

APRIL: I changed the topic of my blog. I joined twitter. (because Oprah said so!) I knew of twitter and had another account but never really used it.

MAY: I got my drivers license. OK I always had my permit from Sacramento but because of this and that it took me awhile to get it! Oh so happy :)) Hubby was sure proud of me!

JUNE: I become more serious about coupons and saving money. We went to the International Convention of JWs with in-laws.

JULY: This was a hard month. My dad passed and its been hard dealing with the lost of Dad. I will never forgive myself for not talking to him and i need to. Also, hubby's birthday.

AUGUST: My 25th birthday. My BFF Cathy came to visit us. My Laptop got a virus. Kmart DOUBLES rock my world! (LoL)

SEPTEMBER: My first Blog Giveaway. Mom had total knee replacement and I spend a week away from my two loves.

OCTOBER: Nothing special.. that i can remember.

NOVEMBER: Black Friday!!

DECEMBER: We went to Aventura Concert.

this is just a brief summary, is far from being an elaborate portrayal of our year, simply consists of trivial facts, of course there is so many other things that happen that i cant remember right now because i have a severe cold! my head is hurting so much BUT i wanted to finish this post so bad! so here it is... all done.

Next year will be much much exciting and of course better than the one before ;)

I was looking for her... calling her... Bella!!! then I gave up and said she will come out soon... I open the blinds in the bedroom and this is what I saw when I turn around.. lol. too cute! she used to sleep with me when we were single gals. this is actually the first fall/winter because in the past we only saw hubby during the weekends. so she slept in closet when Juan was with us. but during the week was all about us girls!! call me crazy... I think she misses that!
