Hey everyone!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend and a fabulous mothers day!

First I would like to thank everyone for all your amazing feedback on my previous posts!

It means so much to me!

So with this: thank you!

Okay about my ootd.

The colors pink and blue are so opposite of eachother,but paired together and especially in pastel shades I think they look gorgeous.

The color combo just exudes summer.

I fell in love with this lace skirt the minute I laid my eyes on it

Fresh and girly and so romantic,I knew it needed a place in my closet lol

I love the skirt underneath it.

A beautiful print with roses

For a modern twist to this romantic skirt,I added a denim shirt and leather jacket and fun jewellery.

Color me orange for Queensday

Hi everyone!

Last week,The Netherlands turned orange as we celebrated the queens birthday and welcomed a new king and queen!!

Queen Beatrix had reigned this country for 33 years.

This year she turned in her crown and handed it over to her son prince Willem Alexander.
A huge televised event!
I love anything royal..so I was just too excited lol
I mean I was glued to the TV when Prince William and his Kate got married,
but this was even better because it was held in my city Amsterdam just ten minutes away from my home
I had to go into town and snaps some pictures of course
Besides the inauguration of the new king on queensday the country turns ito a huge festival and fleamarket with music,foods parties and shopping.

It is one of the biggest national celebrations in this country.
Of course I had to join in on the fun by wearing not one but two orange colored outfits.
Hey the new Queen Maxima changed her outfits three times that day.
So me being the fashionista ..I had to follow her lead don't you think?
I love tiaras and a lot of people wear crownlike headpieces on Queensday.
I went for a pretty tiara with a huge pink stone enough for me to keep me in a royal mood
and party the night and day away.

Newly queen Argentinian born Maxima was wearing a gorgeous champagne colored dress with a statement bow on her shoulder

The story behind the dress tells Queen Beatrix (now princess Beatrix again) gave her the stunning fabric and Maxima had this classy short dress tailor made by Belgium fashion house Natan

The dress was designed by Edouard Vermeulen,who has dressed the new queen on several occasions.

The three little princesses were wearing soft pastel yellow colored tulip dresses by Spanish brand Pili Carerra.

There has been a serious run on these yellow dresses as you can order them online.

The cool thing is,you can shop these little dresses right here,

so if you have a daughter and want to dress her like a real princess then here you go!

The former Queen Beatrix looked stunning in a soft purple gown with beautiful detailing.

The former Queen almost always wears a sparkly brooch pretty high up almost near her shoulder as you can clearly see in the picture!

The new king and queen strut down the blue carpet back to the royal palace as they just left the church after the royal ceremony.

The stunning royal blue gown Queen Maxima was wearing has been the talk of this country and beyond.

The color and shape are just pure perfection not to mention the beautiful lace bodice with a classy small belt.

The cape almost looks like a long blazer which gives this gown a modern touch.

The gown has been designed by Dutch designer Jan Taminiau.

The tiara Maxima is wearing once belonged to king Willem Alexanders great, great grandmother Queen Emma.

Notice how the blue stones perfectly match her royal blue gown!

After the crowning the royal couple went for a boat trip on the Amsterdam IJcanal

Queen Maxima was wearing a second gown by Dutch designer Jan Taminiau

A beautiful burgundy lace dress,with a matching cape to keep her warm.

The boat trip was in the early evening and it was getting a bit chilly at this time.

Former Queen Beatrix was also wearing a beautiful royal blue gown with such a lovely print.

In the picture below on the right you can see Maxima and Willem Alexander the night before the crowning just before attending a lavish dinner with royals from all over the world at the Amsterdam Rijksmusuem.

The rijksmuseum just reopened a few weeks ago after a 10 year renovation.

Can you imagine having dinner right in front of the famous painting The Nightwatch by Rembrand Van Rijn?

Maxima was wearing a ruffled red topless gown.

Maxima has actually worn this red hot number before when she visited Prince Charles for his 60th birthday.

Queen Maxima wants to make a statement in these times of crisis, showing it is perfectly okay even for royals to wear a dress twice.

Gotta love her for that!

Maxima kept everything red even her clutch so her jewellery and blonde hair really stood out.

I think she looks amazing in red.

I am going to have to say that the red dress is one of my favorites

What can I say I am a sucker for anything red

LOL this doggie,notice its little crown aaaaah sooo cute!

Every year we celebrate Queens day with flea markets all over the country.

Everybody is allowed to sell their goods on the streets.

I have found the most amazing stuff on queensdays including amazing vintage finds and antiques.

I have no pictures with me eating these cakes because I devoured a few in less then a minute while walking on the street

Yes I was that hungry!

I was wearing:

I chose outfits that included the colors of the dutch flag:red white and blue and added orange for that ultimate Dutch festival feel.

I wanted to keep the color orange clean and classy thats why I only wore one orange piece in every outfit
I wanted to keep it simple and definitely didn't want to overdo it.

I am curious.

Black and White Stripes

Hey everyone!

I have been so in the mood for the color orange lately.

I took these pictures last saturday when I was on my way to a birthdayparty.

Allready in the mood for orange for our Queensday coming up (everybody wears orange in the Netherlands that day)

I couldn't wait and had to wear this striped summerdress with an orange leather jacket with gold and pearly details.

To me thé ultimate spring outfit!

Apple Green Trench

Hey everyone!

The spring flowers are blooming and what better way to celebrate it with a fresh green trench coat.

I love mixing fresh colors

Especially greens and blues and nothing is more classic then a trench coat don't you think?

For some reason I have been crazy about pairing my outfits with something metallic.

I am so in love with this silver metallic bag which I got for a bargain price in a local store.

I think this bag gives a certain sparkle to any outfit.

This Tuesday the 30th of April our new king Willem Alexander of Orange will be crowned king.

An event which will be very grand of course!

His mother Queen Beatrix of Orange has been queen for 33 years.

April 30th officially being Queens day (the queens birthday) has always been a huge celebration in this country.

We all go out in the streets and enjoy open markets music,foods and everybody wears the color orange .

I have multiple orange colored stylish outfits ready with matching jewellery,shoes and bags lol

I will do a very special post on it and share this huge day with you guys.

Lilac Jeans

Hey everyone

I think pastels are perfect for spring and lately I have been obsessed with these lilac skinny jeans.

It is such a fresh color and paired with metallics and some black and white stripes it gives the whole look a very trendy feel don't you think?

I can't help to always add a little bit of sparkle to most of my outfits.

It could be in the jewellery I am wearing or something in the fabric I choose.

I picked these sparkly purple heels with this outfit

to deepen the soft lilac color of the jeans.

I love wearing one color and then wear a darker version of that color in the bag or shoes to accentuate it.

In the pictures the color turned out lighter then it real life.

They really are of a purple,dark fuchsia pinkish shade.

I never shop shoes at H&M,but I could not refuse these sparkly ones when I saw them on sale a few months ago.

I have to say lately H&M has the coolest stuff.

A few years ago you could not caught me dead in that store.

I had a change of heart about a year ago lol.

LA born Dutch brand Supertrash is one of my favorite brands

Their clothes, bags and heels are always amazing and this metallic jacket is one of my favorite pieces.

I love metallics,but I think you have to be careful not to over do it and keep the rest of the fabrics simple and clean.

I have a very soft spot for Supertrash because a little over a year ago I won tickets to their very exclusive fashion show during fashion week and I felt so inspired, it was THE reason I started this fashion blog.

Lilac is definitely one of my favorite colors for spring.

Singing Bird

Hey everyone

Did you all know I have been singing and writing songs for most of my life?

It is something I haven't shared on my blog just yet,

but lately I have been working on a few projects so I thought I could share a few pictures of me in the studio.

I started singing when I was a young girl and started performing when I was sixteen in a band called D-Extended

At seventeen I signed my first record contract here in the Netherlands.

After that I collaborated on numerous singing projects either by myself or in a girls group .

At nineteen I moved to London and lived there for two years and after moving back to Amsterdam and I had my son, I moved to Los Angeles,where I worked as a dancer and kept on working on some more cool singing projects.

When I moved back to The Netherlands I entered the Dutch televised X-factor competition where I ended up with the last eighteen contestants.

which was an amazing experience.

I have had my phases where I couldn't even sing!

Not inspired or when I was going through a rough period where I would be too sad.

But lately I have been writing again!

Like fashion, singing has been an amazing outlet for me.

I always like to dress up when I record and go into the studio.

It makes me feel more like an artist

I am not the one to wear shabby clothes like a jogging suit and a pair of Uggs lol

I love my baseball caps and I got this one from headict.nl

You can seriously get the cutest hats there.

From baseball caps to berets, beanies ect. ect.

Have you noticed the fun belt I am wearing?

It was thrifted and I love it so much because it is made out of tiny little belts in different colors lol

Of course I hád to get it.

I will post songs and a video once I finished this project hoping you guys will like it.

Boyfriend jeans like a French girl.

Hey everyone!

How comfy are my boyfriend jeans!

After years of wearing skinny jeans this is pure heaven!

Amsterdam completely changes when the sun comes out,changing the scenery into one big Van Gogh painting.

Spring is in the air and what better way to celebrate it with a floral blazer that just exudes sunshine !

I wanted to pair the romantic blazer with something modern and trendy: the boyfriend jeans.

I added some high heels and a french beret to complete this look for a chic and feminine feel.

I soooo love how comfy the jeans are.

Don't you just love the Amsterdam canals?

It is one of my favorite hangouts here.

Yellow take on Leopard

HAPPY YELLOW EASTER!!

I am not sure but is leopard print dead?

After checking all the brandstores and fashionmagazines..I can't find this print anywhere, anymore!

Feels like it will probably not be trending this summer,... bummer!

Leopard was such a huge fall and wintertrend so,I thought of a way to keep this print fresh and give it a total spring feel!

YES pairing it with the new trend color YELLOW!

Honestly I think leopard is a classic!

Can it ever go out of style.

I am so in the mood for summerdresses!

The weather out here has been cold still,but I could not resist to wear something summery.

I love pairing feminine dresses with something edgy,that's why I picked these aviator mirrored sunglassses and the studded denim jacket for an edgy twist.

This dress is super old.

I bought it in 2009 and I think I wore it once!

I found it somewehere stacked away in a closet with items I would never wear again and thought why not spice it up with some supertrendy items?

I love the colors of this dress,so I think I will wear it more often this spring!

Don't you love it when you find an old piece of garnment and start wearing it again?

Wow tomorrow spring officially starts.

I am so excited!!

The only thing that needs improvement now is this weather in Holland!!

I need SUN!!!

It has been so dark here,it's been very hard to take well lit photos.

Although I live in Amsterdam,my heart is in LA,

I can never say no to the New york Yankees!

For years they have been a huge no no over here!

Although LA has always been my second home,I still have a huge love for New York!

One of the most amazing,radiant,fashionfilled cities in the world,I have always been in love with anything originating from this vibrant city.

Even when I lived in LA,I secretly wished I could live in New York too!

Spring floral with a touch of lavender

Hi all!

Spring weather has finally arrived int this country,meaning the weather was absolutely beautifull today.

Today I could see the first springflowers blooming,

so I felt like celebrating it with a fresh spring floral look!

How wonderfull it is: those first warm days in spring!!!

Here in Amsterdam everybody wakes up from a deep wintersleep when the sun is warming up!

We are all sitting outside the cafes and local restaurants drinking coffee and eating our lunches

Childeren play in the parks and you can feel this great buzz.

It is almost spring!

Finally the weather allows us to get rid of out winter coats,thick boots,scarfs and furry hats.

No more snow and freezing temps this year.

Like all of us I am sooo ready for summer wear.

I have been in love with the color lavender lately

How fresh does it look paired with this apple green blazer and some floral print?

I always like to mix classic and ultra feminine wear with something edgy.

That"s why I added the studded booties and the spiked bracelet for a trendy modern twist

I kept the jewellery simple because I really wanted to highlight the floral skirt and the sparkly lilac and pink rhinestone necklace from H&M.

Today I had so much fun shooting these pictures

With no photographers availalbe

The ones I usually work with are out of town bummer!

My dad and son Lyon decided to take some pictures for this outfit

I was so surprised how well they did!

Lyon knew excactly what the right angles were,what looked good and what not!

He was the one instructing my dad what to do while shooting.

Believe me everything he said was just on point lol,

I was cracking up the whole shoot

Spikes and a Petticoat

Hey everyone

I love petticoats!!

So girly,sweet and ballerina like.

It always gets me excited whenever I see one.

One of the cutest skirts are petticoat skirts I think!

It always reminds me of a time when I was studying classical ballet

As a four year old I was allready mesmerized by the lovely crisp sounding tulle.

Now years laters I still can't resist to wear petticoats and still feel like that little ballerina I once was.

Luckily they have them in grown up more street appropriate versions now lol

You can just pair it with a cool leather jacket to give it some edge and tone it down a little with some casual boots..and you are ready to hit the town.

I added the cutest bowbelt I got last year for even more girly glam

I don't like walking around in flats...but these wegde sneakers are great cause there is still a hidden heel in the shoe lol

This powdery pink faux leather jacket is one of my favorite items at the moment!
It goes with almost any color and the color is fresh yet sweet!
I love it!

Although it is still pretty cold out here I am getting ready for springseason!

Lace blazer here,jeans here or here,white top and bag here (new collection): Zara ,white wedges: Mango.Jewellery Lucardi,bow ring: HEMA but I like this one too:here

The snow is finally gone and the sun has been peeping through the clouds in Amsterdam

It is time for some serious preparing for spring outfits!!

I have tons of new springsclothes and this all white outfit with touches or black is one of them

I am so obsessed with stripes...seriously I always have been since I was a young girl!

It reminds me of something french and I am obsessed with anything french!

So I am so excited stripes are back in trendland

This gorgeous lace blazer is so easy to pair with any outfit!

It is so versatile, so it is great for day with some jeans or shorts and amazing for a night out with a cute skirt or dress!

Red Hot Winter

Who said you have to wear boring clothes because it is cold?

I have to brighten these dark and snowy days with a color like bold: RED!

Hi all!

It is still FREEZING out here!

I am not the type to complain about the weather because I believe there are far worse things in the world then extreme tempatures,but wow it is cold!!

I am completly ignoring snowboots,uggs and all black boring mountain hiking look-a like outfits

Me being a color lover hás to bring in at least some color in every outfit I wear!

When I do go all black,I like to brighten things up with sparkly jewellery and different textures

Lets say I will add fur,lace and sequins ect ect.

Okay back to this outfit!

This red blazer is super old!!

I bought it at Zara many years ago and loved it because there was this black padded belt attached to it.

I lost the belt a few years ago and stopped wearing it.

Last week I added this studded belt to the blazer and I am back in love again

Don't you get that sometimes?

An old item becomes one of your favorites again?

I love this emererald green woolen scarf that is superwarm and according to colorexperts Pantone thé color for 2013

I always like to add a third or even fourth color to the basic colorpalet I am using in a outfit.

It adds an interesting twist don't you think?

Well if you know my blog a little you must have noticed I am a colorfanatic!

Something so cool!

How cute are the two girls who asked for my autograph lol!!

I felt so shy and humbled.

They were so well dressed too.

Love them!

Winter Cool Colors

Hey everyone

I am kinda going through a blue and soft lilac phase lol!

OMG it is so cold out here!!

I was freezing my butt of in the snow today!

I couldn't feel my hands anymore and when I got back inside they hurt so bad lol.

I am in love with the color lilac and the color is very hard to find,

so when I bumped it to these leather handglove cuties with a little bow on it,I went nuts so happy!

Pantone released their new color for 2013 and it is drumroffel....... Emerald!

I love the green color with a hint of blue.

This jacket looks more like emerald in real life then it turned out in these photos.

I think pairing this color with some lilac and black gives it an edgy yet soft feel because of the pastels

what do you think?

Indigo baroque coat in the snow

Hey Lovelies!

It's snowing and I LOVE IT!!!

Coat and hat: Supertrash.Jeans:Zara,knitted sweater and Gloves:H&M,Clutch Primark

I love the color burgundy as you can see in these pictures I took earlier today.

But this winter the color has been soooo overdone in the stores and out on the street lol

So I am trying to find ways to pair it with colors to make it looks fresh and new!

I found this striped sweater a few weeks ago on sale an H&M and instantly fell in love with the blue and lilac colors.

I think it looks lovely and fresh with the color burgundy and this blue coat I got at Supertrash last winter!

I am in love with this coat!

I wear it a lot,because you can wear it with anything and basically any color.

The blue color is like a blue jeans so versatile.

I love the Baroque feel this coat represents, still it is trendy and classy!

I get a lot of compliments on this coat!

A lot of people complain when it snows

but I absolutely love it!

The warm feeling I get when I wake up and the whole world turned white ooh lala.

It makes me feel like I landed in a magical ferrytale,and who doesn't love a ferrytale?

Oh well I was born in the winter does my love for snow maybe explains it?!

My B-day is in 4 days so what can I say lol

Anyone in the mood for jewellery?

I grabbed all the silver jewellery I am wearing for prices you won't believe!!

I can't help it but I am in love with the metallic trend coming up

especially the silver metalic

I am usally a gold fan,but I am kinda hooked on silver too now lol

Especially wearing it with white, lilac, blues and black,... it is stunning!

Basicaly you can mix metallic with any color of course!

I just love this clean and fresh colormix...definitely great for spring!

Just wondering would you guys rock the metallic trend or is it something you will pass?

Fuchsia pink and black and white stripes

Hey Everyone

Oh yeah my first post in the New Year!

Happy New Year

My new obsession is the black and white stripes trend

how cute are these woolen gloves?

I have always loved stripes!

To me they never go out of style and they look classy and clean and fresh with ány outfit!

Stripes are becoming a hot trend right now.

I have seen them in almost every store from shirts to skirts to blazers to pants, dresses and YES gloves and scarfs!

I love black and white with the color fuchsia.

It turns the cool and clean stripes into something sexy and sweet

I bumped into this skirt last week and the lace trim really caught my eye.

Of course it was love at first sight...because Fuchsia is my favorite color and I always drool over anything lace.

For a trendy feel I paired it with a leather spiked jacket and a woolen hat

The weather around here has been very mild and not so cold,so it is easy to wear skirts with some tights.

It's just the darkness and the grey skies day in and day out that is driving me nuts!

It is definitely making it very hard to get some good light for photography,but heck I try lol

Spring I am eagerly waiting for you!

Hey all!

Are you all counting down to new years eve?

Out here in Amsterdam we all have fireworks and eat lots of sweet pastries called Oliebollen and appelflappen en they are YUMMY but oh not so good maintaning a slim figure lol

I am so in love with these skinny jeans I bumped into a few days ago

They can be worn in so many different ways I think?

Classy and trendy and it all just depends how you style them.

I chose black fur because I really wanted the gold to stand out,paired with some purple gloves and burgundy booties to give it a pop of color and give it a trendy glam feel

and with this weather we need all the color and glam we can get don't you think??

Hey everyone!

On my way for an amazing christmas dinner at my families house

I had to make a stop for some tea and outfit shots

The little cafe was so charming...it really got me in the spirit even more then I already was!

Anyways how do you guys like my partydress?

I bought this gorgeous lace dress in the summer and it was hanging in my closet waiting for the perfect occasion!

When two dresses I had laid my eyes on were both sold out, I though why not wear this gorgeous dress that has just been eating dust for the last few months?

The green reminds me of green christmas trees and looks so christmas chic I think

we had the most AMAZING indonesian foods and I ate so much I almost went in to a food coma

something I rarely do

we unwrapped christmas gifts and had an amazing time.

Hey All

I hope you are all preparing for a fantastic holiday season with friends and family!
I am getting to ready to celebrate christmas with my loved ones,eating fabulous foods opening up cute gifts and enjoying,... it will be fun!
I am almost done with my Christmas shopping but before that I wanted to share an outfit post lol
YES bright yellow beacause I am missing summer like crazy
everthing is so dark and cold and wet outside!
I had to brighten it up by wearing this cute fringe top I got this summer.
I found this denim studded jacket last week,and I had been looking for a good one for a while
and here it was hanging,with just the right fit
I LOVE denim jackets
they never go out of style
I do have to say this bright top was turning heads out on the street
kinda like I was a crazy person
In this city people like to blend in and wear mostly black
You hardly see any color this season
which I think is a damn shame lol
I think winter needs more color,so why not break that rule of wearing dark colors and go bold!!
