To follow someone else's truth is a trap.
The best strategy is to know your own truth, face it and live by it.
Others may inspire, guide, give you directions, but ultimately you have to cut your own way through the jungle.
You could always be asking others where North is, and they will tell you.
Someone will say North is this way and someone else that North is that other way - and both would have been sincere. But you alone has to find your true North.

The quote above was an eureka for me....so spot on: always being a seeker of "Truth", I now recognise that my truth, is just that, MINE... is calibrated to MYself, this day, this time.

Spiritual is what I am...

Spirituality should be a natural practice...why do we make life more complicated than what it needs to be. I am learning and trying to just be me.

Why can that be so hard?

Work, expectations, friends and family all take a chunk. Sometimes, I think take 'time out' for me is being selfish, a recluse or even unsociable.

I am a mother of an eight year old (going on eighteen), a wife and work/commute full-time in the City, my only solace and space I find is in those commuting hours...a time to read, think and meditate.

I find that I am always searching for that space, trying to better myself and elevate my thoughts onto the greater good and self knowledge.

I came across this site University of Spirituality...ummmm more food for thought!

How do I incorporate it into day to day life...or am I just making it complicated???

What a weekend! I never knew that changing a phone would have such an impact in my social standing!!! To such an extreme I was called a traitor, which did hurt 

I was a die hard blackberry user, the main feature for me was the messenger-loved it. I had been contemplating the iPhone for a little while as I had recently converted from a windows pc to a MacBook air, absolutely love it. Once you have gone Mac you just can't go back! Lol.
Anyway I got myself an iPhone 3GS .... What can I say....in my brothers words "what you took you so long sis!!!!"

Love it.. The Internet is totally unsurpassed.

Love it.. The ease of syncing and personalising is fantastic (apps galore).

There is also an app that enables iPhone and BB, in fact smart phone users to IM, it is called What's App... It does the job!

The Start

I was not 'brought up, in the church, neither of my parents were church goers. 5 years ago I was at a low point and a friend witnessed to me about Jesus and I started attending a local Pentecostal church. To cut a long story short i was baptised and classified myself as a 'born again Christian'. I was happy for a year or two, then I had this deep urge to question things and not accept things blindly and going with the flow. Dan Brown and the Da Vinci Code really opened my path of seeking and re-discovery at a more deeper level ironically - subsequently I have been on a fantastic 'journey' of discovery, albeit spiritual I have turned to books as a source of information and reference. I no longer view myself as 'christian' but a seeker of my truth (even though at the moment I think I need to take a break at let things absorb!). I have discovered so much more. It has lead me on a path of self discovery, inner knowledge, belief, the unknown, an apprecation of life and what we have. I have a keen interest for Eastern Philiosphy, Buddhism, Metaphysics and all things spiritual (a far cry from Christianity!) I am not knocking any faith, but I can only speak from my experience.
