Here is another unfinished sketch based on a Shop Till You Drop 08 magazine. Lace is more challenging than hair. Now that I have sketched two biro and two coloured pencil drawings I will move onto two thin brush sketches. It's always very tempting to combine mediums but it can be very rewarding to make use of just one medium to the best of your ability at that given time.

So I have been away from the net for a week or so.. no need to fret, Jeshimi is back again for a little while. Here is another unfinished sketch from me. I did this one night after dinner and decided to use the 72 set of Derwent coloured pencils instead of biro. I started off with an orange coloured pencil then contrasted it with blue and then from there I added green and red to bring out the textures and details in different areas of the portrait. The last colour I used was yellow as it turned out to be a good highlighting colour.

No idea what I'm going to do next with this but I'm happy to just hang unfinished works because to me, it's more important to stop and think about what could have been improved or what new things can be done next. My aim is not to force myself to finish an artwork to the likeness of another but to capture memories and thoughts at the time into the painting/ artwork.

Found some cool apps for my Iphone4s. Luminance is one of them and Instagram being the other. I like using luminance because it doesn't force me to use a square frame. Let me know if there are better free filter/ frame apps
