How well do you know the landmarks of London? Get up close and personal with a stunning 320-gigapixel image of the city captured atop the BT Tower.

Snapped by panorama experts 360Cities, the epic photography endeavor required the use of four Canon 7D dSLR cameras outfitted with some heavy-duty equipment.

Each camera used an EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens, Extender EF 2x III teleconverter, and a Rodeon VR Head ST robotic panorama head. After shooting 48,640 individual pictures over the course of three days (shortly after the 2012 Olympics), 360Cities spent the next several months assembling and stitching together the final gargantuan image.

You'll quickly notice that it's easy to clearly see nearly anything (or anyone) located many miles from the BT Tower. You almost feel like Big Brother after five minutes of looking. Pro tip: for maximum zoom, keep hitting the plus zoom button. Even if the slider bar indicates you've gone all the way you can actually go farther.

If printed out on paper, the 320-gigapixel super shot would stretch out 323 feet wide and stand 77 feet tall -- nearly the same size as Buckingham Palace

Samsung, on the eve of Mobile World Congress, has announced the Galaxy Note 8.0. It's a mid-size phone/tablet hybrid. The international (read: Non-U.S.) version will be able to make phone calls. (Though Samsung -- and we as well -- recommend doing so with a headset and not by holding it up to your head.)

The Galaxy Note 8.0 specs are nothing to sneeze at. It's powered by a quad-core Exynos processor running at 1.6 GHz, has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3MP shooter out front. It's running Samsung's TouchWiz customizations on top of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Most important, however, is the inclusion of (and improvements to) the S Pen stylus, which brings about a world of functionality not found in any other tablets at this point.

Also new is the inclusion of an "IR blaster," which is a sexy name for an infrared port on the side of the Note 8.0 that, thanks to the Peel application, lets you control your TV and other IR-enabled devices from the comfort and safety of your couch.

Last week HTC launched its 2013 flagship smartphone, the HTC One. Previously rumored as M7, The HTC One will be a competitor to not only devices in the market right now like Samsung galaxy 3and iPhone 5, but also to future devices.

HTC has not yet revealed any exact international market release date or the price of the handset. It will be available in over 85 countries and 180 operators across the world from March. How to Copy Text from a Protected Web Page

Sometimes websites have a security feature in place that protects the text of the website to prevent users from stealing site content. But websites aren't around forever and sometimes users may want to download the site content as referenced material for future use, in case the site goes down. The text may also be needed if the material in question is being used as a direct quote and is properly cited and sourced. The method to copy protected text described here has the highest rate of success, but there are other ways to copy content from protected web pages

Instructions to copy text :

Navigate to the site you wish to copy text from.
View the source code. The approach to this differs depending on what browser you are using. For Firefox, go to the 'View' menu and select "Page Source." In Internet Explorer, locate the "Page" menu and select "View Source" from the menu. If you are using Google Chrome, right-click on the page and select "View Page Source."
Within the page source, look for the <body> </body> tags. The majority of the site content should be within these two tags.
Copy and paste the content into a word processing program such as Wordpad or Microsoft Word. You may need to clean up some HTML formatting that may be in the text, such as <p>, <u>, <bold>, and other similar tags. Simply delete these from the text.
Title and save the document on your computer. File the document away in an appropriate folder for future reference.

A Chromebook is a personal computer running Google Chrome OS as its operating system. The devices are designed to be used while connected to the Internet and support applications that reside on the Web, rather than traditional PC applications like Microsoft Office and Photoshop that reside on the machine itself.

The first Chromebooks for sale, by Acer Inc. and Samsung, were announced at the Google I/O conference in May 2011 and began shipping on June 15, 2011. Lenovo, Hewlett Packard and Google entered the market in early 2013.

Google has officially unveiled the Chromebook Pixel, a high-resolution laptop running Chrome OS. The device builds upon the ever-increasing focus on cloud-computing, offering 1TB of online storage for every user, right out of the box. But Google is clearly betting on demand for a higher-end laptop with the Pixel, in comparison to the considerably cheaper, previous Chromebooks.

It appears that Samsung is hard at work on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update as the software has leaked out for the first time today in the form of Android 4.2 test firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S3 I-9300, specifically the I9300XXUFMB3 model of the Galaxy S3.

Just a short time ago, Samsung rolled out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy S3, an update that brought the company’s Premium Suite including the Galaxy Note 2′s Multi-Window View. Samsung has also recently rolled out the Galaxy Note Android 4.1 update and the Galaxy S2 Android 4.1 update. However, the company doesn’t appear content with just those.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to feature Galaxy S3 style and a physical home button.

It now looks like Samsung is hard at work on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update as test firmware has leaked out today in the form of Android 4.2.1 for the I9300XXUFMB3 model of the Galaxy S3. The file comes from XDA-Developer member Saturn, by way of SamMobile, and it appears to be packing quite a few features for those Galaxy S3 owners willing to take the plunge.

Google Glass Targeting End Of 2013 Consumer Release, With Price Tag Under $1,500

Google seems to be looking to bring its ambitious Google Glass wearable computer to market much faster than many likely anticipated, according to the Verge. Google told the site that it hopes to have a “fully-polished” version of Glass available for sale to ordinary consumers by the end of 2013. The cost will be under the $1,500 Google was asking for developer-targeted editions of the headsets put up for pre-order first at Google I/O, and then again earlier this week.

This is the most clear Google has been yet about its public release schedule for the headset-mounted computing device. The company had previously been reported to be targeting a year-end 2013 consumer release, with a price point around that of current smartphones, according to a report from last February by the New York Times’ Nick Bilton. Then in June 2012, Google co-founder Sergey Brin suggested that a rough timeline for developer and consumer availability would put the device in the hands of the general public in 2014.

This time, a Google official has said directly that the company is targeting an end-of-year release date, so there’s little room for different interpretations there, and the credibility of the source isn’t up for debate. Google’s recent release to a broader audience beyond just developers via an application process indicates things might be moving quicker than the company previously expected.

The Verge also got some extended hands-on time with Glass, and notes that it is compatible with iPhone devices as well as Android handsets. They also came away convinced that this is something that Google will eventually be able to turn into a device with mass-market appeal, whether or not it’s quite at that stage by the time it hopefully hits shelves later this year.

Microsoft's Outlook.com gains 60 million users in six months

In the midst of leaving the preview stage, Outlook.com has been adopted by over 60 million people, according to Microsoft.

As Microsoft continues its attempts to lure users away from Gmail, the firm says that after releasing Internet-based Outlook.com as a preview, millions of people have signed up to the service.

The Redmond giant announced on its blog that it was "humbled" by active users of the email service -- which has grown from none to 60 million users in a six-month span.

Microsoft has taken Outlook.com out of its preview stages and it is now open to the public. In addition, users of Hotmail will be moved over to Outlook by summer automatically -- although you can upgrade at any time -- and you won't be forced to change your email address.

Outlook.com's final release features include the ability to send large files, address books that automatically update, approximately 60 percent fewer advertisements than Hotmail and the option to connect and update through social media sites including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Accessible via web browser, Outlook.com will work on Windows and Mac-based PCs, as well as Google's Android through a downloadable application.

Introduced in July to try and compete with Google's free Gmail service, Outlook.com is meant to bring together Microsoft's existing domains, including MSN.com and Hotmail, as well as come with a bevy of features to make it a worthy contender against other popular services including Gmail and Yahoo.

Did you know that Google combs through your personal emails for key words so the Silicon Valley search giant can better target online advertising?

According to a recent survey, 70 percent of Americans don’t.

The same survey, commissioned by rival Microsoft as part of a major offensive against Google’s Gmail service, found 88 percent of people disapprove of the practice.

“An automated algorithm — similar to that used for features like Priority Inbox or spam filtering — determines which ads are shown.”

Google insists the automated email snooping is crucial to its business model.

“Advertising keeps Google and many of the websites and services Google offers free of charge,” Gaither said. “We work hard to make sure that ads are safe, unobtrusive and relevant.”

Microsoft recently ratcheted up its attacks on Google.

Microsoft says its “Scroogled” campaign, including a new Valentine’s Day video, simply lets Gmail users know Google trolls through their email to sell ads

Google’s Gmail service overtook Microsoft’s Hotmail last year as the largest email provider in the world.

Microsoft, which is promoting Outlook as its email service of the future, is in a pitched battle against rival Google for email dominance.
