Google Gives App Access to 70 New Apps In Google Now

Back in January, Google announced initial support for forty third-party apps (including Runtastic, Zillow, Waze, and more) hooking into Google Now. Even if Google limited participation to hand-picked partners, the news was exciting - it marked Google's first publicly visible steps toward opening Now to users' favorite apps in ways that developers could control.

Google is still keeping details about developer participation close, but today 70 new apps have been added to the Google Now roster.

Some of the new partners include ABC News, Allrecipes, Jawbone, Runkeeper, Adidas, OpenTable, Zipcar, Spotify, TuneIn, and Feedly.

In order to let the new apps play nice with your phone, you will need the newest version of the Google app (4.5), which is rolling out slowly.

Facebook Adds Free Video Calling To Messenger App

Video calling is now a part of Facebook Messenger, the social giant announced this morning. Available on both Android and iOS today in Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the US and Uruguay, you can call someone via video with the touch of a video icon at the top of your conversations.

Facebook Messenger is adding a feature that, if you didn't use it, you would expect to already have. With today's addition of video chat capability, it has parity with the desktop chat interface that has long supported this. As a server-side switch, you should have this available so long as you are using a reasonably new version of the app.

As you see in the image above, there is a camera icon at the top of the conversation that will initiate the video chat. You might also notice that Facebook is very proud that iOS and Android devices will be able to communicate with one another from the start. In terms of being able to request a video session, the app will be more or less platform-agnostic. The key to look for in terms of whether you can do it is the color of the icon. Gray means the recipient is not available, but blue means they are ready to roll (but still have to accept).

Calling, whether with voice only or video as well, is free. With that said, there is no better way to chew up your mobile data allowance, so use with care if you aren't connected to Wi-Fi. And if you weren't sure whether Facebook was all that serious about Messenger, here is some good evidence that they really want you using it for most of your communication.

While this feature clearly adds competition for Hangouts,Skype. Those who chat over Hangouts probably don't ever chat on Facebook. For many, though, Skype's only purpose is acting as a video chat platform for people with whom they are already Facebook friends. It's just redundant, now, if it wasn't already.

'Batman: Arkham Knight' trailer - New Faces in it

Batman: Arkham Knight's cast of familiar faces grows with developer Rocksteady Studios' new "All Who Follow You" trailer. Can you name them all?

Catwoman's there, putting the beatdown on an army of robo-baddies with her Batbuddy. Nightwing and Robin both show up as well, all grim faces and determined hero poses. There are also blink-and-you'll-miss-it looks at Commissioner Jim Gordon, his daughter Barbara (aka Oracle), and the vigilante Azrael.

The trailer's title suggests that Batman's assorted allies are all targets of the Arkham Knight, the game's primary villain. He pops up a few times here (his cape-less armor is a weaponized mockery of the Caped Crusader's own Batsuit), duking it out with Batman and commanding any army of gun-toting soldiers, tanks and drones. Two-Face and Scarecrow (that's him at the 50-second mark, right?) also make brief appearances.

We'll see how all of these characters fit into Rocksteady's final Gotham City adventure when Batman: Arkham Knight comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 23.

Facebook wants notifications to become much more than a perfunctory list of recent behavior, events and invitations.The current Facebook Notifications tab is simple and you get all the useful notifications like comments, likes, posts from close friends at a single place. But now, Facebook going for a different type of notifications tab.

Facebook confirmed these plans to Mashable and said: “We are testing an updated Facebook Notifications tab that adds additional, relevant content about everything that might be helpful to know on a particular day.”

There will be a new Facebook Notifications tab in your Facebook mobile app and will feature eight sections:

Birthdays: Birthdays of friends in Facebook Notifications.

Life Events: Events from your friends that happened today or recently.

Events: Events you’ve joined

Nearby Places: If you choose to turn on the location services, you will be shown info from nearby places

News Shared Locally: Bunch of viral news from your neighborhood

Trending Topics: Three trending topics of Facebook will be shown in your notifications.

It’s not clear if users will be able to customize the amount of information displayed in these notifications tab. Many of the features mentioned regarding Facebook integration were already present in Facebook and few of them are new.

The satirical game actually has a story, made up mostly of laughably bad Photoshop stills and political impressions that are authentically awful. Wrath of Obama is a very reasonable $1.20 (or approximately 60 Rubles) in the Play Store, with no in-app purchases.

Google's Desktop Search Now Lets You Set An Alarm Or Send A Note To Your Phone

Over the Past Few Days we have noticed that Google has been integrating its desktop Search with Android devices: finding your phone and sending directions to yourself. Google has revealed that other similar "searches" now make it possible to set an alarm or send a note to your phone as well.

To send a note to yourself, you simply search for "note to self," or "send a note." A card appears with a text field to write the content of the note and a device picker so you can choose which phone or tablet to send it to. Once that note is sent, a notification pops up on your selected device with the option to copy the text or save the note.

If you tap the latter, you should see Gmail and Keep as the possible options. Alternatively, you can also write everything in the search query as in "note to self to buy bread," and the text field will be automatically populated.

for setting an alarm, you can search for a generic "set an alarm," or a more specific "set an alarm for 11:00." In both cases you can edit the time before you send it to your phone. You don't get any card or notification on your device, but you should instantly see a toast message then the alarm icon pops up in the status bar.

Google points out that while these searches are US-only for now, you can use them anywhere in the world with this simple workaround: add &gl=us to your search URL and the cards should show up. If you're like me, you're probably rushing to set this up as a custom search engine in Chrome. Or you can bookmark these pages with the tweaked URL:

Two major earth quakes today rattle Nepal,India hundreds feared trapped

New Delhi: A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.9 on Richter scale and a major aftershock of 6.6 struck Nepal on Saturday. The quakes also jolted parts of North and Northeast India. Widespread damage is being reported from Nepal.

There are reports of avalanches at the Mount Everest. Base camp of mountaineers is also reported to have been hit.
Many historic temples have also been reduced to rubble in Nepal, say reports.
Kathmandu airport has been shut post the earthquake; all flights have been diverted to India
Earthquake in Delhi. I appeal to people to maintain calm. Officials out in the field to assess the situation – Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweets
A part of building has collapsed in Siliguri, West Bengal, due to the quake, reports ANI.
Nepal's Lamjung, the epicentre of the quake, has reportedly flattened and only few buildings there are believed to be standing.
There are reports of cracks developing at the airport in Kathmandu.
Dharahara Tower / Bhimsen Tower, a 19th century nine-storey tall tower in Kathmandu, has collapsed, say reports. Nearly 400 people are believed to be trapped.
Reuters is reporting at least two deaths in the Nepal quake so far.

News agency IANS has reported that at least one person was killed when an old building collapsed in the premises of the Indian consulate in Kathmandu. The dead person was a Nepalese national, according to a Nepal-based journalist.

The USGS has upgraded the magnitude of the first Nepal earthquake to 7.9 with a depth of only 2 kilometres, reports Reuters.
Dozens of people with injuries are being rushed to the main hospital in central Kathmandu. There are however no immediate estimate on fatalities.
News agency Associated Press is reporting that walls have toppled and buildings have collapsed in Kathmandu.
Authorities are not ruling out more aftershocks.
Sources say major damage is expected at the epicentre of the quake.

The BBC reports some buildings have been damaged in the quake in Nepal but there has been no initial word on any casualties.
Earthquake of magnitude 7.5 occurred today at 11.41 am between latitude 28.1 North and Longitude 84.6 East. The epicentre was located in Nepal, an IMD statement said.

Delhi Metro services were briefly suspended after the quake.

There are reports of widespread damage in Nepal.
People were seen rushing out of their homes and offices.
The tremors in Delhi were felt for over a minute.
In India, tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim.

The magnitude of the quake in Nepal was recorded at 7.5 on the Richter scale, as per the USGS.
As per the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre of the quake was Lamjung in Nepal, 77 kilometres north-west of capital Kathmandu. The depth of the quake was 10 kilometres.

The next entry in Universal's blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise has been scheduled for April 14, 2017. The news was revealed during the studio's CinemaCon presentation, following an emotional speech by Vin Diesel.

"We're going to make the best movie you've ever seen," the actor said when announcing the release date.

Diesel, star of the franchise, came to the stage to talk about the most recent hit. He got emotional when speaking about his friend Paul Walker, who died before Furious 7 was completed.

"The last time I was on this stage I was with my brother Pablo,” he said. “It’s hard for me to even watch that clip and then come out here without being emotional."

The seventh entry in the franchise has already broken box office records worldwide, so far nabbing more than $1.1 billion globally.

"Furious 8" Location Revealed?

One series insider has moved past speculation over the next movie and has provided his thoughts on where the unconfirmed film may be shot. Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson told MTV, per The Morning Call, in a recent interview that he believes the movie will be set in New York City.

The site also noted that Vin Diesel disclosed while on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that "Furious 7" was actually the beginning of a trilogy that would feature government agent Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell).

"I always think of these films, multiple pictures, in advance. I think of them as trilogies," teased the actor regarding a potential eighth film. "Kurt Russell came in for [Furious 7] but we really hired him because of a story that follows this, that takes place in New York."

Google Glass Next Version Will “Be Out Soon,” According to Report

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the next generation google glass may be just around the corner, apparently made in direct partnership with Luxoticca, an Italian eyewear maker.

Massimo Vian, CEO of Luxoticca, recently said in a company meeting in Milan that the partnership with Google is moving forward, and that the next version will “be out soon.”

An exact date or timeframe was not given, but with Google outsourcing possible design elements for Glass, consumers may be in for a much more fashion-friendly face computer.

The next version of google glasses should have improved battery life, a better display, better sound, and will most importantly feature a lower price tag for consumers.

A first look at DC's huge superhero film is finally here. It should be no surprise that director Zack Snyder's style for the film is simultaneously murky and full of crisp color — it's really quite comic booky , in a way as based on batman vs superman comic. This is certainly a cool and moody first look, but it doesn't necessarily instill the level of confidence that you'd want from a movie this large. Still, it has plenty of time to get there: it doesn't come out until March 25th of next year.

Mortal Kombat, as I would hope everyone knows, is a PvP fighting game that exploded when arcades were still around. All of the classic characters are inside, such as Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Sonya, and Ermac. Unfortunately, I don’t think we can expect to see Goro in this mobile version, unless you can purchase additional characters through in-app purchases.

And speaking of IAPs, there are plenty of them. The game is free to download, but you can expect to see quite a few offerings for IAPs when it comes to possible energy bars and things like that. Their prices go from $2 all the way to $100.

To help you get an idea of what you are in for, check the trailer below that is for the console version of the game. The graphics won’t be as intense, but the fighting and X-ray visuals will all be there.

Twitter Introduces ‘Highlights’ for Android, Delivers the Best Tweets Via Push Notification

Twitter introduced a new feature for Android users called Highlights. With this enabled, users will be given a deep, yet brief look into the big things happening on Twitter. For example, if there is a big sporting event going on that everyone seems to be talking about, or a really cool TV show going on, Twitter will recognize this and then recommend the conversations to you via a simple push notification.

So, what exactly will be in these Highlights, you may ask?

To create your Highlights, we look at things like the accounts and conversations that are popular among people you follow, Tweets from people you’re closely tied to, topics and events that are trending in your area or within your network, and people that are popular or trending among people you follow.

To enable this new feature, you will of course need a Twitter account and be following a few people to help Twitter get a sense for what things interest you. In the settings menu on the stock Android application (this is not available for 3rd-party app users), there is a new settings for Highlights. Simply turn it on and let Twitter do the rest.

So the company is introducing Highlights, push notifications that puts what's hopefully interesting content directly into your notification shade.To determine what to send you, Twitter looks at what is popular among the people you follow, events trending in your area, and tweets from people you're close with.

Since this can get annoying quick, Twitter lets you opt in to the service. You can then set Highlights come in up to twice daily. They will pop up in their own interface, which you can navigate by swiping right to left.

At launch, Highlights are only available in English. And in what is a break from recent occurrences, the feature is only available on Android for the time being. Twitter will consider bringing it to other platforms in the future.

Avengers: Marvels Age of Ultron review

The Avengers was the film that made me fall in love with Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. It was the scene when Agent Coulson died, and our comic book heroes turned on each other — backbiting, blaming, lashing out as their center collapsed. After five and a half movies’ worth of comic book acrobatics and space villains, we were suddenly watching just a handful of scared people in a room, acting all too human.

Avengers: Age of Ultron, follow-up to 2012's Avengers, springs no surprises.

It is mindful of the reality of the sacrosanct formula,
and it does not scrimp on delivering exactly what is expected of it.

Age of Ultron is an overload of eye-popping action sequences featuring an all-star team of superheroes, plus a couple of new entrants with unique powers. Given that we were dealing with larger-than-life characters like Thor and Captain America, it was nothing short of a miracle. But that one scene elevated an entire franchise, and $1.5 billion later, Joss Whedon had cemented the Marvel empire as a blockbuster factory.

Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.

THE OPENING SEQUENCE IS AN INCREDIBLE PIECE OF ACTION FILMMAKING

But between Ultron's lame jokes and general lack of motivation, he never manages to become a villain you can take seriously. It's a depressingly bland dynamic compared to the fun Tom Hiddleston had as Loki in the first film, but thankfully Ultron has some backup in the form of a pair of twins (Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen) who have some special powers of their own.

What’s shocking is how so many things that were strengths in the first film fall flat here. Whedon hits his chatty stride early on as the team hangs out and ribs each other during a party, and it’s filled with some signature character bits. But given the events of the last few films in the series, the lightheartedness feels strangely out of place.

There can be no denying that Avengers: Age of Ultron is expertly mounted and spiced up with a dash of humour.

But the quality of the ride, in its totality, is uneven. Watch it for the spectacle, not the substance.

Now Send Directions To Your Phone From Desktop Google Search

There are a few ways to get directions from your computer to a phone, but Google just added this handy functionality to Google search. Simply search for "send directions," and Google will let you pick a location and device, then you're good to go.

This method is a bit easier than Pushbullet because you can do it without logging into anything or installing an extension. The Google Now direction card is certainly convenient, but it doesn't appear reliably after looking up an address. The new search functionality has its niche when you think about it.

The new direction push interface has a drop down with all your active Android devices. It automatically defaults to your phone's location when the directions are sent, but you can search for any location in the provided box. in Us it appears to be live out for everyonce.

Well in this tutorial iam going to Show you how to use joystick on android that is how to connect joystick to android, you might have seen many articles over internet about connecting usb gamepad or a pc gamepad to your android device and play games with them, but most of them include high quality joystick and also all games aren't compatible with the joystick.

So Here is a Part that tells you how joystick usb android works :-

Step 1- First of all You Need to Have a Connector for your phone inorder to Connect your joystick for android, this connector is called "OTG Cable"

Step2: Now Connect Your usb gamepad or Bluetooth Gamepad or Xbox 360 Gamepad or a pc gamepad with usb to the Otg Cable. as shown in the figure below.

Step3: Now Connect the otg cable to android device and turn on your gamepad if it has any button like Analag and the Gamepad Led will be turned on. Now You can See Notification on your mobile..Dont panic if there is no notification on your device.. it will be connected as soon as otg is connected to device's Micro Usb port.

Step4: Now Move the Dpad Up and Down and you will see that Changes on you Android Device Screen- you can navigate with the keys and by pressing X button you can open any app.

Step5: Now This is the Most Important Part, As most of the Games Dont have native joystick support, only few games have such option like console quality games like Dead Trigger, Fifa 15, Asphalt8 and some other action,fighting games.. You Have only access to those games which have gamepad support.PSP Games on PPSSPP Emulator Can be played with joystick

Step6: In order to Play Almost Every Game With gamepad, you need to rooted and you must install TINCORE KEYMAPPER Application.it is a paid app on playstore but you can find it for free on google.

Step7: Tincore Keymapper Works on Almost Any android device, For Android Lollipop 5.0 Inorder to make the app work We need to change the "SE LINUX Mode" to "Permissive" from "Enforcing" . To do that Download SE Linux Mode Changer App from Play Store.

Step8: Most Important Part comes here - that is Assigning the Buttons of gamepad to work on device.. for that first of all launch the game and then minimize it.

Now Open Tincore Keymapper App and then Click the Three Bar Menu. Now browse below and choose Discover Devices,As shown below there are screenshot given for every step clearly:

That is For Example to activate the buttons we need to do mapping firstly, so first sttarting with Analog stick, Move it any side to activate that stick. after that the tincore will activate the button and the icon with "0" is appeared on the Screen.

Pic16: Since i had used Dual shock controller, i got another button it is also analog stick- im using it for aiming on that specific purpose.to activate it move that stick to any side and hold it, until you see the icon.

Pic17: Now to activate all other buttons just press and hold them until you see the icons on screen. now after activating all icons, just move them to the correct place- because their usual task is to tap the screen, so we must place those buttons above the game's orginal controls like "X" button above the Shoot Icon in game.

Pic18: Now that you have applied all buttons, in addition to touch screen, there are also some other options like gesture swie- it is basically used to switch weapons in games, also touch area centering and dpad moves helps in gaming. utilize them according to your will.

Pic19: Now that you have applied all settings perfectly just tap on the screen and you will see the menu like in the below screenshot.you need to give a name to that profile and save it.

Here Give a name to that field and save that by clicking accept.

Pic20: Now your Tincore keymapper profile for that specific profile is activated.

Admitted that this is quite lenghty process but this is the only process to make all games work on android with usb joystick or any kind of genric joystick and it works perfectly.
For psp games on android you dont have to do all these, there is a default section to map keys of joystick in controls schemes, just do that and you are free to play.

Facebook's Android dialer app has been released in the Play Store. Rather than going with the generic and confusing "Phone," the app is called Hello. You can place calls, see who's calling, and block incoming callers.

The app requires a Facebook login, which should not come as a surprise. It lists all your Facebook contacts, even those who don't have phone numbers attached. You can place regular voice calls or VoIP through Messenger.

The sequence required the star to an Airbus A400M as it soared 5,000 feet in the air, something that necessitated wearing special contact lenses so he could keep his eyes open despite the wind pressure.

“I’ve always wanted to do that,” Cruise quipped, as he presented behind-the-scenes footage of his air flight, adding, ” I want to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.”

In past “Mission: Impossible” films that’s resulted in Cruise scaling mountain peaks or hanging along the exterior of the Burj Khalifa. But this may have been his most dangerous mission yet. Cruise admitted that the crew did their best to make certain that there were no birds that could collide with the actor or jet fuel fumes to contend with, but at a certain point…it was up to the fates.

“I’m actually scared sh–less,” Cruise said.

The behind-the-scenes look at the signature stunt was part of Paramount’s presentation of its upcoming slate of films. The studio also screened two nearly finished scenes from the film, one that showed a shirtless Cruise drugged and hanging from a lead pipe as he’s beaten by a muscled bad guy called the bone doctor.

[UPDATE] Telangana TS Inter 1st year results 2015 announced

The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Telangana is likely to announce the TS Inter First (1st) Year results 2015 tomorrow on 22 April at 11 am and the Telangana Intermediate 2nd year results 2015 on 29 April.

The BIE regulates and supervises the system of intermediate education in the state of Telangana. It executes and governs various activities that include “devising of courses of study, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting affiliations to colleges and, providing direction, support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction.”

The vision of BIE is to promote world-class education through ‘quality leadership, support and services’ with an aim to improve the education standards in the state.

As per their website bie.telanagna.gov.in, the other important functions of the Board are:

To prescribe syllabi and text books.
To grant affiliation to the institutions offering Intermediate course.
To lay down regulations for the administration of Junior Colleges.
To publish text books
To prescribe qualifications for teachers.
To conduct academic inspection of Junior Colleges.
To conduct examinations.
To process results and to issue certificates.

Apart from these above mentioned activities, examination is another most important function of the BIE Board. Every year it conducts the Annual Examination (in March/April) and the Advanced Supplementary Examination (in June/July).

Tomorrow is the day when the BIE will end the suspense for a lot of students by announcing the Telangana TS Inter First (1st) year exam results 2015 at 11 am. Students can log on to the official website of the board to access their results online.
