First day of my massive "stock shoot" week. Been in the studio all day producing images for my library collections at Alamy and SocialStock. One example is below. These images are used by marketing companies and businesses all over the world.

This is a project that i have meant to get around to for years but never had the time. So, i've sidelined all week to be shooting in the studio. And the beauty of stock pictures is that once they're with the library you can forget about them and let them earn.

The new EOS camera we bought the other week has been a star. Faithful colour recording means that as long as the editing and cropping is done in camera then the pics themselves need very little post production.

We also shot the British Touring Cars over the weekend, at Oulton Park. Great weather on Saturday allowed me to get some great shots of this years cars, as well as nice portraits of Lewis Hamilton's brother Nicolas.

NEW look for 2011

The commercial & press side of my business is getting a new look.

I am in the process of launching the new web site, designed to show my work and experience off to new clients.

Furthermore, from now on i will be taking more control of my customers workflow, taking personal responsibility for jobs right through to finished product.

The Calendar Girls

Back in September i was contacted by a friend of mine, Amanda Phillips, asking if i could shoot a "calendar girls" style calendar, for her wine bar in Liscard, in aid of a childrens lung charity. Always open to new ideas we met, discussed things and after reading about the charity, decided to "give it a go".

Despite the very tight deadlines we shot it on Oct 18th to 20th, in the Vineyard winebar in Seaview Rd. The result is a great looking, very tasteful, calendar showing 12 of the female regulars as they've never been seen before.

Its a project i'm very proud of. We had fun shooting it and that hopefully comes across in the pictures. But despite the fun, the reason for it is serious. Children who have severe lung problems. Children who can't breathe without the help of a ventilator. And what's more, it is a local charity.

The calendars are £7 each and EVERY PENNY is going to the Child Lung Foundation. And before anyone asks, no i didn't get paid for the shoot. I shot, designed and got it print ready for nothing.

The calendars are going on sale next week and it is being officially launched from The Vineyard winebar in Seaview Rd, Liscard, at 7pm next Thursday Dec 16th. Come along and say "hello".
