Yes, you are reading the title correctly, not just studying and wondering about feline cats but feline dogs too when living together. Why does my dog, Zoey, continue to imitate my cats all of the time? Every time they eat, she wants to eat ( this wasn't so unexpected ) ... and Zoey refuses to eat anything but cat food nowadays, unless the kittens are sipping or eating a treat of chicken or milk, but the food situation I kind of understand though. What was so unexpected and amazes me more is that my unique and adorable dog Zoey imitates their actions as well, and some of these are quite amusing. She now loves to sleeps on the car with the cats, but unlike them, she has to climb onto the car, instead of one grand leap. She use to get jealous and bark every time I gave attention to the cats, but now Zoey has accepted the concept of " if I can't beat them, I'll join them " and now they are one group of feline buddies that sleep, play fun cats and dogs games ( Zoey chased Wizard one day and tried to climb up the tree with him, but fell! ), bathe (yes, she bathes exactly like a cat does, but still gets her regular doggy baths too, lol) and eat together, day and night. Does this mean that one day soon, that my silly dog will actually meow and do felines really have that much impact on our planet? I knew that pet owners do not own their cats, but the kitties actually own them. I see now that the cat's meow rules all in the cradle! Hmm, I wonder if there are cats that act like dogs, probably when the dogs outnumber the cats. My house is cats galore. MEOW!

Most of these images were taken during a long period of time. As the little girl on the blog has become burring and did not find much school homework to do, the she grabbed her small pets and dressed them up, plus included them as part of the imaginary story tell.

One of the most heart breaking moments in my life besides the death of my Mom in 1995 was the death of my rat terrier young girl dog, Tulip. She was only 3 years old and died a terrible death, a rat terrier dog who ironically died from ingesting rat poison last year. I still cry to think about her being gone so soon, but more because she suffered so much during her last few hours of life on this earth, even though she consumed the rat poison days before. Why did me as her Mom and best friend not know she ate poison, do you ask? Good question, every dog owner and non dog owner needs to be completely aware of, especially nowadays since rat poisoning is more potent than ever before, and Warfarin is one of the most common components of rodenticides, but even the ones that do not contain warfarin will cause animal deaths. Apparently, Tulip ate the poison with high amounts of this anticoagulant chemical, which literally causes internal bleeding and hemorrhaging, with little or no symptoms at first! Most pet owners mistakenly believe that vomiting MUST be present in cases where a dog has ate rat poison, but this is not usually true because dogs who ingest rat poison and warfarin do not throw up. The main symptoms are blood in the feces (their poop) and/or their urine (pee), bright green stool (stool is poop too), coughing up blood, a bloody nose, bleeding gums, reject food, hair loss, panting, muscle tremors, purplish or dark red spottong on skin (hard to see if they are very furry), drooling (or slobbering), and weakness. Tulip had only one symptom, 4 days before she died, and that was bleeding gums. But, the bleeding was not so bad that I was concerned, I thought she hurt her gum on a bone she was chewing. She even continued eating within 4 hours before her death! Most dogs die from rat poison. The few dogs who survive, had more symptoms and were treated early with large doses of vitamin K, IV fluids and blood transfusions. MILK, PEROXIDE, or INDUCED VOMITING does NOT help. The dog surviving depends on how much poison was ingested and getting diagnosed early enough, which usually is not the case, very sadly. My dog must have either eaten a dead or live poisoned rat (especially since she was a rat terrier) or she got into a nearby neighbor's trash, shed, or something...I really do not know since most of my neighbors denied ever using it since they have domestic beloved pets too. The best prevention to avoid accidental poisoning in a dog is for everyone to use rat or rodent traps or even cages, instead of any type of poisonous rat bait. Remember that some people are evil and kill dogs or other pets on purpose with poison, so keep an eye on your precious pets. I miss Tulip so much, she was an extra special dog and was my best friend. She even mothered and nursed one of my friend orphaned kittens that I was watching. She was also an excellent watch dog and protected us and our home. I had her since she was born, she was so good and listened well. She never did any harm to anyone or anything. Beware of rat poison my friends, lets protect our babies from this horrible tragic evil substance that hurts all animals, even the rats suffers for days and days, at least with a trap, they die instantly. Oh, in case some of my readers are thinking I am hypocritical, please remember that I love all animals and creatures and would never hurt a fly. But, that does not mean I do not have the right to make people aware, I do not judge anyone (except the evil people who willfully and purposely kill or harm a domestic animal, even a homeless one) and I do not expect to be judged either, Thank You! My girl looked so cute and pretty in her pink female collar, Awww!! Her precious life on this earth was best, while it lasted, I love you always girl!
