Red velvet cake is getting famous nowadays looks yummy with the red velvety look that's calling you to have a bite and I just got curious about the said cake and asked our messenger to buy two cakes, my all time favorite blueberry cheesecake and the red velvet cake. They looked cute round and small, and hmmmm would be enough for four people. I got excited and had a bite of the red velvet, wow it was creamy soft and felt like it melted on my mouth, strawberries, the cream, the taste of vanilla, it was yummy. Call it bias bu, when i had the bite of my favorite blueberry cheesecake, I said I liked the blueberry cheesecake than the red velvet. Wahehehehehe of course its my favorite and for me its the best cake. Since I dont have an oven at home the simplest cake that I can do for my family is the blue berry cheese cake, I would want to bake but the absence of an oven makes it hard for me to experiment in the kitchen with cakes. But my younger brother said he could bake a using the kaldero ( cooking pots that filipinos generally use) instead.

Sendong came and killed hundreds of people, some were our friends, classmates, neighbors,

acquaintances, relatives, friends of friends, church mates, cagay anon and iligans, fellow Filipino. But we are embraced by God's love through using the lives of other people, their help and generosity that indeed though sendong came to help us, friends from afar extended their asistance and generosity. It was a sunday afternoon filled clothes, clothes and bed sheets towels, we enjoyed the company of each one. To those who gave much much love and gratitude. May God bless you more and more.

Wow, Im just a little excited and all.
Cathy introduced me Intichat with all the perks and the earnings we could get through having minimum of 5 referrals and a lot more. if this is true then we can enjoy socializing and earning at the same time. Well, all we can do is try and see if the system is working or not. The page looks like facebook but there a few cte things to interest you aside from the earning capability which is laid down. There's this mega points area where you can chose from gadgets to psps and to laptops...sounds exciting and promsing I hope its a happy ever after story and wont end like other scams which polluted the net.

Im not a bookworm, I start reading one book today and the next day I'll read another without finishing the first and then forget about it days after and then when I remember I get the book again and start over again.Hmmmm, there are lots of distraction to my reading adventures, first is that I have that ningas cogon attitude, always procrastinating things, im glad I have these bookmarks to help me. I call it tuyom since I dont know what that black living thing beside the starfishes is called in the english language. Reminds me of happy moments with officemate during summer outing. The smiles of those who were once with us and now already just a memory while others are still here through the many years of hard work. They say its poisonous and the only cure available for that is urine. Yes urine, you heard it right. I have witnessed our officemate sir malon one company outing, he went to the deep part of the sea to snorkel without gear and was not aware that were lots of tuyoms there and he got hurt. The sting according to was painful and so we have to look for a guy to unrinate his foot and then the company nurse helped in getting the black needle like tuyom from sir marlon's foot. It was a not so nice outing experience for sir marlon and for those who witnessed it , but also a lesson that next time we should be very careful .

Im still trying to think about the english term for tuyom. I need to make more research and post the results here.

Its easter sunday. Praise God for the message that He prepared for us through His servants and praise God for the fellowship with new friends in Cebu, they are young and are sharing their lives in reaching out to others and spreading the good news to many. Indeed, im energized and challenged to see the kind of fire that's burning in their hearts, you can feel the passion for serving and getting involved in God's work. After the fellowship Wendy cherry and me went to our place and I toured them to my favorite place papakits, wahehehehe, I'll never grow tired going there, the place always reminds me of God's splendor with the creation like a painting changing before my very eyes.

After a long day's work, we decided to have a break and treat ourselves with food, food and food. Thats the only four people with different personalties agree, FOOD. So it was Max's, something we have not tried before was the theme but as always we ended ordering the group's favorite Lechon Kawali as the star for the night, sinigang na hipon, fresh lumpia, buko pandan

The thought of food comforts me, how comforting it would when Im infront of them to comfort me with the scent and sight of great food . Wow!

For me its a long long way to go and we still have the play offs to consider if they would even qualify, but for me if they will get to the finals thats what you call a miracle, Lin kept saying that all thats happening to his career now is a miracle and it calls for a miracle for them to make it to the finals. For me each game with Lin is always a finals game, with all the cheers and the excitement, each game win or lose is a game worth watching.

Its march not June, but the first month that I made two thank you cards for two weddings.

I had so little time to prepare but I guess the adrenaline rush pushed me to finish the thank you cards on time. I have to do double time and have to endure late sleeping just to finish my target dates.

Modified wordless bracelet

I have decided to make a modified version of the wordless bracelet, the typical wordless bracelet is made of macaroni beads and a leather type cord. Its hard to find the macaroni beads, I have tried looking for it in major stores and fabric shops but it was very limited. Then, one night, I saw this lady wearing a certain tribal bracelet and I noticed it was almost the same color as the wordless bracelet except that there was no white bead. So I have decided to modify the wordless bracelet and use the cute dark brown nylon thread and use the very cute bead instead. I had difficulty in locking the two ends so I decided to pay extra 50 pesos for the demo on how to make the lock, the guy was kind enough to tutor me on how to make loops for the lock and was a fast learner and was excited enough to try the craft at home. The first tries were not that durable coz the first bracelets lost the lock, so from there I have learned my mistakes and improved my craft to make more quality wordless bracelets.

Pandesal and arroz caldo

Pandesal is a common part of the breakfast meal paired with scrambled egg or the common panawsaw sa cape sa umaga, its and extra treat when its served hot. I love the smell of freshly baked pandesal, reminds me of papa bringing pandesal or monay for us when we were still kids. Pandesal reminds me of papa, the smell and thought of pandesal brings back the time when papa was around, making me miss my papa.The arroz caldo on the other is not the common treat, childhood memories of arroz caldo is associated with being sick, mother would prepare yummy arroz caldo, it was something special, it reminds me of a mother's pampering, a mother's care. Its the complete meal.

After sendong, I now have a whole new meaning of pandesal and arroz caldo. Pandesal is the partner of the arroz caldo for feeding the evacuees in sendong evacuation centers. Its the complete meal for the kids, for the mothers and fathers who have new hopes and new vision for the future. As the start anew they face the new life with the hope in Jesus their savior. Their hearts have been touched by the Lord and have made them receptive and making them realize to cling unto that someone who can give them rest in these times and can strengthen them each passing day. I felt shame of my selfishness, shame with my self centeredness and shame with how I spent my time. I felt guilty with the concerns I have for myself, myself and myself. God opened my eyes to many truths, and Im not closing them now, Im trying to open it to I can see that I play a role to play in the great harvest. Time where we can invest in other people's lives, with eternal bearing.

Apart from the hunger for food, I saw in the faces of the children and even the young and the old, the once young and the young at heart, I saw their hunger for listening ears and hearts, am I ready for that? Am i willing? DO I have time?

This saturday is over and many saturdays will come to more pandesals and arroz caldos to share' I hope we can all take part in pandesal and arroz caldo filled days.

My first night run: Run for a home

It was a rainy saturday afternoon, I had a good rest since I had no work. I woke up late in the morning, washed my clothes and then watch a few chapters of the Dong Yi korean drama, enough to give me the strength to run for a home for sendong victims. It was not one of the regular runs that I had, this time it was not that grand, not so many runners were there. Just a few and I also saw a group of volunteers who also joined the night run, it was a run for a home, proceeds of the said run would be allocated for sendong victims. It was a run for a cause. It was also the first time that I met and had picture taking with coach Rio, I never had any idea about famous runners and all, but I heard he had humble beginnings and was also kind enough to smile with us and also graced the said event.

It was a run worth remembering, the area near SM city cdo was conducive to the night run since it was cozy and more of residential setting which also matched the people who participated in the run since there were just a few hundred runners it was enough for all of us. I loved the breeze and the night, it was also different coz we had picture taking from any spot. Wahehehehe, it was not a serious one for me. Just real fun. After the run we feasted on hawaian pizza which Xandi promised after the run. After that he said see on the next run.

Keeping the body strong is important and regular exercise provides the strength and energy to undergo treatments for mesothelioma or any other type of cancer. In fact, any increase in physical activity through exercise has a manifold effect on multiple body systems.

Keep in mind that people are more likely to stick with exercise if they do it with friends or family members. Getting fit can involve anything from joining a gym, running, swimming or just taking a walk. Always be sure to get a doctors advice before starting an exercise regimen. Doctors and medical personal will be glad to help you with an exercise program or refer you to a physical therapist or other specialists for additional recommendations.

Pancit canton for merienda

Got so hungry this afternoon, well I always get hungry every afternoon and really go to the canteen to eat something that I could satisfy my hunger, I though of eating scrambled egg and rice but there was no egg, I looked for bananas and salted fish but there was none, the only option was pancit canton and I have no other choice. Fair enough it was good even if it was somewhat spicy and hot but I love the combination it was enough to satisfy my hunger a glass of water completed it, but I want balut. That could wait later, there's a lot of balut on my way home.

Wow!
It was an experience worth remembering and a learning I think im going to get addicted to. I started eating the pinoy with no balut but when I have tried the balut ( only 16 days old) I realized the balut is much yummy than the pinoy, coz the balut has this somewhat water substance that is good when its hot. The first lesson is to open a small part on the large part of the egg, slowly open it enough where you can place a little bit of salt and hot vinegar, then sip it (its really good) try this procedure and slowly open or expose some parts of the egg, then eat the yellow part, for a newbie like me I started out removing the dark part of the egg, hehehehe, until now I still dont have the courage to eat that part since Im still learning to appreciate that but soon, I'll have the courage to do it.'Eat everything with salt and the hot vinegar coz it goes well together and its good to finish it with ice cold coca-cola to complete the meal.

Happy New Year!
Well, I must admit im a little bit late with my greetings but its still The 17th day of January and its better late than never.

2011 ended tragically, though I was not one of those lost loved ones but still the pain is so strong to ignore. You see it all over our city, the wrath of Sendong, even when I went home to my father's place in Cebu Sendong kept on haunting me, its on the news. But still, we welcomed 2012 with high hopes that this will be another year, another year of dreams and reality that Cagayan de Oro will soon rise from the devastation Sendong brought. We welcome 2012 with prayers that our brothers and sisters who were affected will be able to slowly rise and and be able to recover from their state.

For me, my prayer is that I will be able to help with what I have. I dont have much but im willing to share my life, ears, my lips to those who needs words of encouragement and words that will lift up those who are weary. More then the food, the relief goods they also need our ears to listen and our presence to be just there for them.
