An ok volleyball game where the two players are blobs. Hit the volleyball by jumping when it's above you, and try to get the computer to not get the ball over the net. Nice graphics and sound, but the game is 2D.

An ok racing game, except for the fact that there is only one track, so it gets boring really fast. Also, the only thing you do to control your car is click the left mouse button, to make the car speed up. The only fun slot-car games are the real ones, when you can race against your friends by holding down the button on your controller.

You, as a cute little bunny, have to jump on your opponents to make them explode violently. This is a multiplayer game, so you can't play by yourself (but it does have network support). That's pretty much all there is to it. Any there are also cool codes in the 'jumpnbump.html' file, like jetpack mode and low-gravity mode. Excellent graphics and sound make this a must-have game.

This was the first time I've played Lemmings, and I was surprised at how fun it was. It didn't take me very long to find out what each button was for, and I ended up playing it for a lot longer than I expected. If you don't know what this game is about, it's a game where you must guide the little 'Lemmings' to the door. To do this, you must command them to dig, make bridges, explode, climb, or anything else that will help the others get closer to the door.

Pinball Dreams

Pinball Dreams is a well-made DOS pinball game. Developed in 1992, it features four different tables to play on, each with its own unique theme and bonuses. The Ignition table is space-themed, Steam Wheel has a steam-train/western theme to it, Beat Box is music-recoding themed, and Nightmare is horror-themed. I noticed a tiny bit of lag when using the flippers, but other than that, I have no gripes with this game. It preserves the old-school arcade feel well with classic pinball gameplay as well as an alpha-numeric display at the bottom of the screen. You can play with one or more players, and there is a separate high score board for each table.

To play the game, you must first copy the INSTALL.SYS file into the root directory of the hard drive. For most people, this means you must copy it to C:\INSTALL.SYS. Once you've done that, you can run pinball.bat. Use the F keys to select your sound card, and then the space bar to skip through the intro screens. Hit F1-F4 to select a table. Then use F1-F8 to select the number of players (or don't press anything and detailed instructions on controls will scroll across the bottom of the screen and the game will guide you through the bonuses). Use both SHIFT keys for the flippers, and the DOWN arrow to pull the spring.

A highly recommended download for anyone who enjoys a good retro pinball game.

Mario Worlds is a game based on classic Mario World characters and levels. Included is everything you have come to enjoy from these classic Mario games, ranging from the gold coins to the goombas to the powerups and fireballs.

Mario Worlds has excellent animation and blending that gives a polished, satisfying feel to it. Visual effect details, such as Mario's slowing down producing dust clouds, make the game very involving and fun to play.

The major gripes about this game that made it garner only an 80% rating from me are the following: the music packs are not included with the game and must be downloaded separately from the developer website, and there is no save function in a game that obviously needs it. Play the game; Mario and the Princess depend on it!

Neo Sonic Universe is actually two games in one: it includes a "normal" mode, similar to the classic Sonic games, in which you collect rings, kill badniks, defeat bosses and clear stages; and a battle mode, in which you fight against another character (human or CPU).

The normal mode features different levels with a boss to defeat upon level completion. You can play as any one of 5 characters: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, or Shadow. Each has its own special moves, but you must beat the game as Sonic first before the other characters are unlocked. The controls are simple--use the arrow keys to move and use CTRL to jump. There are few good Sonic remakes online, but this is definitely one of them. It stays true to the original and is void of any big glitches that most other Sonic games are riddled with.

The battle mode is a 2D fighting game with different levels to play on, each with its own special effects. You can play an arcade battle, in which you battle against each character and clear levels, or a VS game, in which you fight against the computer or another player. A big plus is that the controls are configurable and you can also use a joystick in this mode. There are two bars for your player--one shows HP and the other shows Mana Points. Mana points are used for for magical attacks, which are activated by using a specific sequence of keys, and are different for each character. The battle mode is an excellent addition to this game and will not disappoint.

There are many Sonic games available on the web, but few come close to the quality that this remake exhibits.

Highway Pursuit is one of those games where you are flying, well, driving, down the road at blazing speeds. The roads are filled with "enemy agents", but also innocent civilians which you must protect. As you go along you drive through diverse landscapes, and get radioed information about things ahead. There are several enemy vehicles and weapons which you may destroy them with.

I found Highway Pursuit to be a very fast-paced game, especially if you are not very good at controlling your vehicle. Your health goes down for driving off the road, as well as hitting cars, etc. And if your driving skills are like mine, it goes down much faster than it recovers. It also takes a little bit of time to figure out what are the enemy vehicles and what are the civilians. However, the game did not appear to get boring. It seemed as though the more I played, the more new vehicles and weapons that I came across. One of the features that I really enjoyed was the ability to upload your scores so that you can compare with other players.

Despite the apparent simplicity to the gameplay, this game is definitely worth the download, and will give you hours of fun.
