I know my postings for 2009 has been nothing but... Nothing basically.
Haven't been posting anything worth noticing for a while now.

But it's not that I haven't been converting my brain activity into digitally readable files.
It's just that they have been posted into a "close-friends" only environment.
If you're able to find it......

But one thing though, really appreciative for the close friends that I had and have stayed with me throughout 2009, throughout all the difficult times and what not.
Even when they have their own problems to deal with , they were still there for me.
Really appreciate them.
Even if it's only a couple of them.

Apparently, in Singapore, if a man rapes his wife, it's not considered as rape under the eyes of the law.
Which basically means, it's marital rape immunity.

But there shouldn't be any. A rape is a rape. It doesn't matter what the relationship between the perpetrator and victim is - spouses, lovers, friends, colleagues, acquaintances or worse, strangers. As long as there's enough evidence of force being used, the rapist should be convicted.

Help those who are in need. There's an ongoing petition at notorape.com, to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, urging for a complete repeal of the two instances of marital rape immunity in the Penal Code. Namely, Sections 375(4) and 376A(5).

Remember, sexual violence by any person, against any person, is criminal violence.
Help those who are in distress, you might know one yourself.
It's disturbing, distressing for victims and their loved ones. Let's all help, however minute that effort might be.

I have no idea who sang this song, perhaps it's by CHC.

But I was absolutely in tears at this song, even if I was serving at the same time.

And as I was serving on camera, just felt God moving with me, executing the shots at all the right timings.

Even at times when I didn't expect myself to be "live", God helped me to provide something usable for the production and for the service, because more often than not, it's also the production that brings up the atmosphere of the service.

Kinda ended early though, cos of an injury with one of the performers. Quite, jialat.

After that youth orchestra came in to do their sound check and stuff

mini-EMERGE Weekend, met up with some of the POS team before going for tech run though

Thank God for opportunity to serve for all 4 services this weekend, was really great.

Did the graphics for the POS segment of the mini-EMERGE, together with a couple of other media people as well! Like to call ourselves the EMERGE POS Media Team though, sounds cool

10am: Reached Expo for EMERGE Tech Run, tested videos, loaded new graphics and title bars

12pm: Left Expo for Jurong West with the POS team, had lunch with them and went back to JW in preparation for S1. Did the rundown of graphic cues on the bus along the way, though, came up almost vomiting when we reached JW.

3:30pm: S1 started, did our jobs, wasn't as great though, room was overcrowded in my opinion. Vision Mixer couldn't hear me at all. Sigh, but then again, it was the first service, not as bad as it could have been

4:30pm: Left Jurong West for Expo with the rest of the performers, slept a bit on the way

5:30pm: S2 started, stepped in during the POS segment, though, for some reason, most of the other people from Chorus Board went out of the room during the segment, except for the POS Media Team and a couple of Chorus Board folks just in case anything went wrong

Service 2 was a lot better though, timings were a lot better, clearer communication

But Pastor commented that the title bar needed to be longer. Oh wells, something to take note.

Hung out with the media team at the TV ministry area there after the POS segment was over though, chatted for a while, waited or the Word to begin.

It's quite cool to watch the directors doing their work in the container though, plus we can watching the screens up close and still listen to the sermon. Awesome stuff

After service, went to Door 5 to meet up with MJ Zone's people, met up a couple of them chatted for a while

Stayed at expo until quite late though, round about 10pm I think

After that went back, re-do the title bars with new longer versions

Think I slept round about 2am after that. Editing HD is a time-intensive process man...

Woke up like freaking 6am, 4 hours of sleep for a full day ahead. God bless me.

9am: Reached Expo, loaded in the new graphics and title bars, did a simple test of all graphics

10am: Service 3 started, waited for POS segment before doing our graphics again. Service 3 was a whole lot better than Services 1 & 2 though, probably cause we have got the rhythm there already. And the intended effects for the graphics came out exceptionally well too. Probably the best service out of the 4

11:30am: Left Expo for Jurong West for Service 4. Wasn't much time to prep before the service though, just walked around the building while waiting, and trying to warm up as well. Air con was ridiculously cold for some reason.

12:30pm: Service 4 started, waited for the POS segment again before doing our thing. Wasn't as great as Service 3, but still better than Saturday's, and there was this huge relief after the whole thing was over. Awesome. Went to take group photos and POS photos as well, but then, wasn't in anyone of them, like that's a surprise.

Went down to the auditorium for the rest of service together with the performers as well.

After that, an unexpected thing happened. Met up with some SOT people, and got to know an Indian family, interesting their story. Together with my team, we went to have lunch with them, but in the end, got blessed by that family instead.

Felt rather blessed, but quite bad as well. Perhaps it's God's way of blessing me and my team with a meal after all that we've done. Really felt like it was God's blessing unto us. Felt so great after that, I didn't even know what to do.

4pm: Left JW for Expo. Actually had nothing to do until about 11pm, but then thought to myself, why not just hang out at church, perhaps something great might come out of it. So there I was, reached Expo at about 6pm.

Wasn't on roster for serving GDOP. But ended up serving for Cam 7 for GDOP Session 2, from 7:14pm all the way till about 10:30pm.

Yet another blessing from God, to be able to serve in Expo. Felt really really blessed.

Someone told me this after that, a sacrificial offering of my time, and God will bless me abundantly. Awesome.

After that, joined the rest of TV Ministry and the church to tear down the place at Hall 8 in preparation for the move to Hall 1. Got tasked with the job of keeping the fibre optic cables. These are cables used for some of the cameras in church.

However, they're... made of glass, so due care had to be exercised. Especially when a couple of forklifts wanted to roll over them. Scary.

After a long while, loaded up about 4 truckloads of equipments and went over to Hall 1. Luckily didn't need to set up Hall 1 at the same time, cause by the time we had finished, it was about 3am. Probably the fastest timing yet, also probably because there's a lot of people.

Met a lot of new people in the ministry.

Of course, spent the ENTIRE Monday sleeping. After all the sleeplessness in the previous week in preparation for EMERGE POS (averaging about 3-4hours a night), and in church on Sunday from 9am to 3am the next morning. Guess I really needed it. Think I woke up about 6pm?

All in all, felt that this weekend was an exceptional one. Got to feel what it's like to serve for ALL 4 services in a single weekend. Of course, many other things came with it, like SOS, GDOP and the teardown as well. Felt really really blessed. Not to mention that free lunch on Sunday as well.

My God, I can't even begin to explain how it feels. Just feels really really great.

Aye, time for a good long post.

Been having a roller coaster of a week, in all sort of areas.

And still, amidst all the sleeplessness over the past couple of weeks, amazingly, still alive.

Anyhow, starting with the week of Mike Connell's ministry

Was serving for ES1 as Cam 5, not bad actually.

During praise and worship, always felt a super strong presence, especially when certain shots came together at the right timings of the song.

Like a nice sweep during the chorus of This Is Our God, wow.

Felt an immediate hit, really fantastic stuff.

Someone manifested right at the start of the service, or at least only when Mike Connell just started to walk up the stage.

Shouted something like "Why are you doing this?!", and was (obviously) escourted out of the auditorium.

Rest of S1 was pretty cool, Holy Laughter was in the place, especially for one SOT student, apparently couldn't hold herself properly, just kept laughing and laughing and laughing

After S1, had the first EMERGE POS Preview at JW, tested out a couple of videos, but nothing concrete was being done, because the teams still needed to figure out their blockings on stage.

That was Saturday

Went for Service 3, ended up at Alpha arena, not that bad though, was somewhat right in front of the stage.

Saw the Grand Imbal from Pakistan or something like that.

Meaning, the "up there" from one of the mosques in Pakistan paid City Harvest Church a visit

Yes, you read right, mosque. With all his robes and stuff.

But I think it was something about inter-faith peace thing. No details on that though, was quite groggy at the time.

Anyhow, Mike Connell administered during service again, though I would say it's a whole lot different in Expo as compared to JW.

For one, Expo is a whole load larger, felt different.

Didn't get prayed for though, in the end, helped a couple of people who, well, required help

But it was good enough though, the presence was strong, even as I was helping to catch people and stuff like that.

After the service, went out to Subway to grab a bite before returning back to do another rehearsal for the EMERGE POS.

Met up with the other people helping out as well, then proceeded over to media area to run through the protocol and videos and stuff like that.

As usual, nothing much being done because the teams were still trying to get their blocking done.

But had quite some time to work on the timings of the cheers and stuff like that, which frankly, was quite a headache.

Once the main part of the rehearsal was done, hung out with the rest for a while, then went home after that. Alone.

That was Mike Connell's ministry weekend. As far as I can remember that is.

But here's what I thought, it's Your presence I want most.

My dream has and will always be, to spend as much time in the church as possible

Serving all that I can, whenever I can

Which will probably make me full time church worker

But hey, what's a better job than working full time for God?

Interesting weekend

I so have to write this down somewhere.

It's going to be quite wordy, due to the still existing lack of web disk space.

Went for ministry on Saturday

No, not the morning one

Served for TV in Service 1 as Cam 5, the one located at the diagonal slope on the left.

Spent some time setting up the cameras, the held the color chart for quite a while as the folks upstairs calibrated the cameras

Went for briefing and the down to the main auditorium for service

Here's the cool part, you know sometimes you just do things and it seems like the right thing to do?

During worship, managed to grab this beautiful shot, executed it

And right there, just felt the presence of God hit me so hard

It's just fantastic, it's just, wonderful

Of course, Toro, former band member of boyband Energy came to perform for us

Though frankly, was kind of expecting the performance to be a bit more... hip...

Toro then ran around the hall and stuff, and through the darkness, couldn't see him on my camera, even when I was "live".

It's just.. dark.. so, apologies if my shot seemed as though it was "floating around"

Oh did I mention, was standing right beside Toro when he came in before service started

Though, didn't talk to him cause he was with his manager and listen to iPod at the same time.

But it's cool, to just stand beside him.

Nice dreadlocks

Pst Kong shared an interesting word that service

Thought it was fantastic actually

And it hit me hard too, because it was about goliath

The goliaths that you have in your life

The pain and the hurt that these things have cause you

God understands them

That was something that hit me really hard there and then

Because couple of days before that, I was really blessed when I heard a 9 year old (I think he's 9) boy on a Christian radio in the US.

He called in to share about how God understood the hurt that you're going through

That God had given his only Son to save us

And thus, He understands

It's a simple word.. He understands

But it hit me really hard there and then, when I heard it over the radio, and when I was in service

That all along, God always understands

And because He understands the pain that we're going through

He never fails to listen to our prayers

He never fails to keep telling us that "everything is going to be alright"

Even when they don't seem to be

He never gets tired of telling us the same thing over and over and over again

He never gets tired of listen to our prayers either

That's because He is God. Simply put.

Was really blessed by it.

Sunday, went for morning service at Expo

Not exactly too thrilled about the number of people turning up and the time wasted waiting for people who never turned up anyway

But well, still made it to church

In the end, got the last row of Delta terrace, not the best place to be especially when it's Dr Kim Sung Hae preaching

She doesn't exactly have a.. loud voice that is.

It was nice though, cause I was sitting next to Elim Chew

For all of you who don't know who she is, Elim Chew is the founder of local brand 77th Street

How cool is it to sit during service, beside a famous person?

Awesome

Anyway, Dr Kim played the piano for us

Church managed to rent a Steinway and Sons Grand Piano for her specially

Which is no doubt, the best in Grand Pianos anywhere

In fact, they are all hand-made, only a certain number of these pianos a year

And they all cost at least a 6-digit figure

Awesome

Dr Kim also celebrated Pst Kong's father's 80th birthday too!

Of course, together with that church that is

I was fun. Ritz Carlton sent a box of chocolates, which definitely lit the face of Uncle Kong when he opened it

Anyway, sermon was about intercession

In the area of prayer to be exact

That God only listens to the prayers of a sinless person

Quite interesting, if not for the fact that I almost dozed off because I could hardly hear Dr Kim

She speaks oh so softly

But I love that gospel song.. The marching one?

Yeah I like it, that was cool

After service, went to Subway to take advantage of their nice $5.90 meal, tried something different this time

But well, still tastes the same, just another subway sandwich

Bernard was interesting though, he order Veggie Delight, withe $5.90 offer

He didn't know what he was doing apparently, neither did I

Went back to expo for Emerge Preview, for the POS again

Tried out certain effects and CG to see how it would appear on screen and stuff

Though, I think, I definitely need a lot more inspiration that just that

So yeah, I'll be doing all them graphics for the POS segment

And yes, I need more inspiration as well

Went off after a while

Dad bought something new.. Which, well, still in the process of trying to find a space in the overcrowded house to place it in

Did have thought running through my mind again, not exactly a good thing either

But hey, God understands

Just thought it was cool, to be blessed by a 9 year old kid over Christian radio, standing next to Toro, and sitting next to Elim Chew during service, all in just one weekend

Clearly I haven't updated the banner. Can't exactly think of an occasion that's worth mentioning though.

Was sitting alone at McDonalds, mediating on stuff, a lot on devotions and revelations and verses and what not.

Anyways, went for a meeting Tuesday. Was very blessed by it. In fact, it was something that had been in my mind for a long time now. Maybe it's taking effect soon?

Week's packed.
Got a trailer to rush out by tmr, and finalize by the weekend.
Not to mention I'm working at the same time,
which more or less turns out to be a 'company has too much money to spend and hired ppl to sit around and sweat' kind of job.
Go figure.

But even with nth to do, I'm still damn tired all the time.
Probably cause there's really nth to do in the first place.
Even that home-made Starbucks expresso and nutella in the morning can't keep me awake all day.
Go figure. Darn...

Now I'm really struggling to look at electronic devices.
Got a bulge in my right eye, and them eyes get tired when looking at a screen for too long.
Was looking at some stuff online, and couldn't even read questions properly,
leading me to answer them wrongly too.
But hey... Trick question la....

aircon like today, or sweating like always?
