Create Keyboard Shortcut To Eject And Close CD/DVD Drive

This is a handy method devised by me to close and eject cd/dvd drive with help of keyboard shortcuts in windows Xp.

To create shortcuts follow these simple steps:

1. Download small freeware utility called tooler.

2. Start up the tooler and create shortcuts for ejecting and closing the cd/dvd drive on the desktop.

3. Now right click on the shortcuts created on the desktop and define keyboard combinations for these shortcuts as shown in image below.

4. Now assign Ctrl+Alt+E for ejecting the drive and assign Ctrl+Alt+C for closing the drive.

That's it, we are done, now on pressing Ctrl+Alt+E will eject the drive and pressing Ctrl+Alt+C will close the drive.

1] Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2] Find the file named "HOSTS"
3] Open it in notepad
4] Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.orkut.com , and that site will no longer be accessable.
5] Done!
example :127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.orkut.com

- www.orkut.com is now unaccessable

For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip (127.0.0.2) and then the addy like before.

IE:
127.0.0.3 www.yahoo.com
127.0.0.4 www.msn.com
127.0.0.5 www.google.com

This also works with banner sites, just find the host name of the server with the banners and do the same thing with that addy.

Disable autorun/autoplay function of your pen drive.

(start>run>type "gpedit.msc">Computer config>System>turn off auto play.)

2) Now plugin your pen drive and open any folder of your computer.

(Do not open any folder from ur pen drive.)

3) Now goto tools then select Folder Option

In that box mark the Show Hidden Files & Folders option.

Also Uncheck Hide Extension for known file types & Hide Protected OS files.

Now click apply and ok buttons and close that folder.

4) Nome come to desktop.

On the Desktop, click on windows Start button and select Search for files & folders.

When the search dialog box appears on the screen, in that click on All Files & Folders, now click on More Advanced Options then select search Hidden files & folders.

Now go above & in Look In option, select your pendrive letter (For example E: Or G:

and hit Enter.

5) Now if you see any unknown .Exefiles, simply delete them all.
