EINDHOVEN - FC Eindhoven Monday caught the third period title. PSV won 4-0 at FC Oss.

A few hours after the 5.2 magnitude aftershock in Nepal, a major earthquake of magnitude 6.4 has hit Taiwan near Kao-hsiung, at 19:57:26.30 UTC on Feb 5, 2016. The epicenter is 40km southeast of Tainan. Tainan is populated by 2 million people.

According to initial reports, multiple buildings have collapsed and number of casualties is unknown.

Several residents of Kathmandu and around tweeted today that significant tremors were felt and people came out of their shelters in panic. This is another major aftershock (which are occurring monthly) with a magnitude of 5.2, 16km North-West of Kathmandu.

The mega earthquake of magnitude 8.6 that shook the whole of Nepal in April 25, 2015 claimed 8,000 lives and left more than 20,000 homeless. This also destroyed major historical monuments like Dharahara, Swayambhu, temples etc. in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur area. The earthquake also triggered avalance in Mount Everest killing more than 19 mountaineers.

After the recent epidemic of Ebola in African countries, the recent threat to humans is the Zika Virus thought to be evolved from South America, Brazil. This virus is named after the forest it was found. This is caused by the bite of certain mosquito found in and around that forest. If the pregnant women are bit by this virus then the babies are born with smaller heads, skull and incomplete brain development. This kind of abnormality is called 'microcephaly'. There are discussions if it is also sexually transmissible.

The mosquito that carries the virus is called 'aegypti'. This is the same species of mosquito that also causes dengue fever. Originating from Brazil, it has now been reported in as many as 22 countries in mere 2 weeks time.

Some conspiracies argue that it is human-borne action. A very strange one is that some companies deliberately spread genetically modified mosquito that could fight the aegypti in order to counter the dengue fever. That kind of tests are supposed to have been carried out in Brazilian forest where this virus outbreak. There is no proof to such zika conspiracy theories though.

There is no zika medicine or zika treatment available now but painkillers and other antibiotics stabilise and the effect goes away in 7 - 10 days time by itself. A vaccine is in development specially for mothers so they remain immune to this and give birth to healthy babies.

The well-known Manchester United defender Gary Neville is going through his first managerial experience and it is NOT going so well. After hanging his boots, he was doing the punditry with SkySports, commenting on managers, players, games, strategies etc. He is remembered for his staunch remarks when a team had a bad day or so. When he was covering for a match involving a thrashing of a team in the hands of might Barcelona, he had said -

"You see teams go to the Nou Camp and get beat 5, 6, 7 - 0. Barca are a good side. But if I was involved with a team who got beat 7 - 0 there I wouldn't be able to look my family in the eyes anymore."

Well the 7-0 happened at Camp Nou yeseterday, nothing new for the Spanish giants considering the firepower of Messi, Suarez and Neymar aka MSN. It involved a Messi hattrick and Suarez hattrick + 1, so they could each take a matchball home.

Barcelona are waiting for their Round of 16 game with Arsenal in 3 weeks time (Tuesday 23 February), the first leg will be played at the Emirates Stadium, London. In recent weeks, the dent in Arsenal's form including Ozil, Sanchez might worry Arsene Wenger a bit. But when a Champions League theme plays in a stadium, all the history and record just fade, its the magic of the moment that decides a game.

In the introduction site various images and videos are made available. The images show a minimalist design with a microphone and partly-transparent video screen that places information over the view from the users' right eye.

The product's developers said they wanted feedback on the idea.

They did not give any indication about when the device might go on sale or what it would cost.

"A group of us... started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment," said a statement from Google X - the firm's experimental lab.

"We're sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input."

Guided walks

The video suggests icons offering 14 different services will be offered to the user when the glasses are first put on, including information about the weather, their location and diary appointments.

It appears that several of these services are either triggered by an action taken by the user or the situation they are in.

The film shows one user being reminded he has a date that evening when he looks up at a blank wall, and then warns him that there is a 10% chance it will rain when he looks out of the window.

An alert pops up when a friend sends a text asking if he wants to meet up later in the day. When the user dictates a reply a microphone symbol is superimposed over much of his view.

Other functions include Google Maps showing a route to the wearer's destination with small arrows keeping him on track, the ability to take a photo of what he is looking at with an option to share it with friends, and a video conference service.

The glasses are also shown to allow music and other audio to be heard, although they do not appear to include earphones.Shrink to fit

There had been lots of speculation about the project with some reports describing it as an "open secret", but this is the first time Google has confirmed details of what it was working on.

The New York Times had previously suggested that the first set of glasses would go on sale before the end of the year for somewhere between $250-$600 (£157-£378) - but experts say that the technology shown in the video may still be some way off being ready for market.

Chris Green, principal technology analyst at Davies Murphy Group Europe, told the BBC that other tech firms such as Brother had attempted to pioneer the concept - but became unstuck because their versions had required users to carry separate processing and battery equipment that plugged into their glasses.

"There are huge opportunities for tailored advertising with augmented reality systems - especially if they have in-built GPS location tracking," he said.

"The monetisation opportunities would be enormous - but there are still big issues involved with shrinking the technology and making the computer that receives and processes the data truly portable."

The Rise and Fall of the Euro

Just one decade after the European single currency was launched amid fanfare and fireworks, its future continues to look uncertain as the debt crisis that engulfed Greece, Ireland and Portugal threatens the entire bloc -- and the wider global economy.

In a bid to resolve the crisis, a majority of European leaders in December reached a deal for a new intergovernmental treaty to deepen the integration of national budgets. Britain refused to back the agreement while three other countries -- Hungary, Sweden and the Czech Republic -- said they would consider the plan.

European leaders were optimistic that a proposed fiscal compact, designed to ensure that governments do not spend beyond their means and rack up unsustainable debts, could be signed by the end of January.

But while solid demand at recent debt auctions in Italy and Spain calmed some investors, a Reuters report Friday that said ratings agency S&P could downgrade several eurozone countries at some point sparked a fresh bout of worries.

Why ratings agencies take center stage in crisis

Before the December summit, economists had feared that if European politicians failed to reach a consensus the eurozone crisis could trigger a global slump. Some went even further -- Alain Juppe, ex-French prime minister, told French media that the crisis "raises the specter of a return to violent conflict on our continent."

Many analysts saw it all coming of course, arguing that one fiscal system could never work for 17 EU countries that adopted the euro, serving more than 330 million people.

The flaws were exacerbated after some countries were suspected of fudging their numbers, including Greece which in 2004 admitted it gave misleading information to gain admission to the eurozone. The crisis exploded after Greece revised its figures to show its 2009 budget deficit would be 12.7% of gross domestic product -- far higher than the eurozone limit of 3%.

The bloc -- whose financial fractures may not have been apparent during the boom years -- then began to unravel.

After Greece's dire numbers were revealed, investors panicked and the country was unable to raise money to fund itself. The country was forced to take a €110 billion bailout from its eurozone peers and the International Monetary Fund.

But Greece's bailout, rather than stemming the panic, served as a harbinger to the debt crisis.

The European Financial Stability Facility, or European bailout fund -- set up to deal with further financial stumbles -- was quickly tapped again.

Ireland, felled by a black hole in its banking system, was forced to take a €67.5 billion bailout package in November 2010. After the markets then closed their doors to Portugal, it was also forced to take a €78 billion bailout.

The troubled nations implemented austerity measures to try to rein in their hefty piles of debt, but confidence in the bloc's ability to stabilize itself continued to fall.

The crisis may yet engulf Italy, which makes up 17% of the eurozone economy. Greece, Ireland and Portugal make up less than 6% between them.

And so Europe's politicians and officials have desperately tried to sort out the mess by coming up with ideas including boosting the bailout fund, bringing the disparate economies closer financially, and tapping other markets for funds.

Their previous measures proved ineffective, as the markets -- and the world -- remained unconvinced at the bloc's ability to survive in its existing form.

Germany and France, the largest economies in the bloc, led the call for EU countries to unite and find a joint solution. Now the majority of member states have come up with a new deal to be ready by March 2012.

Why does euro mean so much to Germany?

The 17 members of the eurozone that share the single currency have agreed on an intergovernmental treaty to deepen the integration of national budgets, and six other EU nations support this plan. Another three have agreed to consider it. They have also agreed to hand over the running of the Europe's bailout funds to the European Central Bank and to add €200 billion to the International Monetary Fund.

Britain remains isolated by the deal that will now be tested by the markets.

1.5 million credit card numbers at risk from hack

Global Payments, a company that processes card transactions, confirmed late Friday that "card data may have been accessed." The company said it discovered the intrusion in early March and "promptly" notified others in the industry.

Global Payments released a statement late Sunday with more details, saying that while more than 1 million card numbers may have been compromised, cardholder names, addresses and Social Security numbers were not affected.

When a customer swipes a credit card, the data is sent to a payment processor like Global Payments, which coordinates the steps involved in authorizing the charge and submitting the transaction details to card networks like Visa and MasterCard.

For customers, the best thing to do is sit tight. If your card issuer thinks your account may have been compromised, they'll contact you -- and no matter what, you're not liable for unauthorized charges made on your account.

Dutch pioneer Flying Car

A Dutch company claims to have invented a flying car after carrying out test flights at an airbase in the Netherlands two weeks ago.

Some €6m has been invested in the PAL-V so far and now the company is looking for further investors to take it through to the production stage.

Managing director and shareholder Robert Dingeemanse says he hopes the vehicle, based on a gyrocopter, will be on the market at the end of 2014. 'We have now delivered the evidence that the technology works, and we have shown the vehicle can be built within the existing rules,' the Financieele Dagblad quoted him as saying.

Drivers will need both a licence to drive cars and fly planes to use the PAL-V to escape traffic jams.

The promotional video for the car was uploaded to You Tube on April 1, but the company denies the vehicle is an April Fool's Day stunt.

Two weeks ago, another Dutchman claimed to have invented wings which allowed him to fly like a bird, but that turned out to be an elaborate hoax. The Flying Dutchman later testified it was just a test to see how internet rumors spread and wanted to raise awareness.

Manchester United (Manutd) extended their lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League to five points as late goals from Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young gave them victory at Blackburn.

Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs were both substituted in the second half. Ryan Giggs filled in for Phil Jones and Scholes came out making way for Ashley Young.

Manchester United have now 76 in their points while Manchester City have 71 points in the English Premier League Table.

Meanwhile Tottenham and Arsenal are equal on points 58. With Chelsea and Newcastle equal on points with 53. Everton are 7th and Liverpool are 8th.

Liverpool play Everton in the FACup Semi Finals on April 15th. In that game however, their star goalkeeper Pepe Reina (Spain) could be missing due to red card in the English Premier League game against Newcastle.
