You[Tube] Scheduling

2010-02-11T21:10:00.000-08:00

Some of you may know that I manage a couple of You[Tube] Channels, and MOST of you may just found out NOW.
Just to give you a little or overwhelming taste of what I do... head on over to the following.
Mighty Chief Productions
silverbluefire
eoPG13

If you are as confused as I am, let me just try to clarify a little bit. Mighty Chief Productions started when I graduated High School and is basically focused on projects with some teachings and projects for promoting organizations. Generally, not-for-profit organizations. This channel doesn't have much despite the times, reason being that when the material was edited, it could not be posted online... and now it has gone missing. The videos there posted are the ones that I'm finding along the way while working on new material.

eoPG13 is my new personal channel where I post random footage of projects that are on development. More likely to transform into a video log channel.
And last but definitely not least, SILVERBLUEFIRE !!! This channel is dedicated to events coverage, mostly not-for-profit organizations' fundraisers. Currently, there, releasing the performances from the Liwanag 2009 Homeless Outreach Benefit Concert. Already published are some of past events mixed in. Here's thought, how about we make this channel popular with everyone you know, reaching the thousands of peoples around the community, and therefor meet the criteria for a partnership and then donate to the organizations there shown, and to their OUTREACHES! Let's make this a reality, SPREAD THE WORD!!! silverbluefire
THANK YOU!!!

On another note, I've been trying to work out with a schedule on to which day upload videos. So far, I decided it would be best to move the silverbluefire channel uploads from the weekends to Thursdays. With that said, here's this week's performance:

As for the other two channels, we'll see what projects we can come up with. I've been working on some short stories, and some music covers, it would be great to incorporate more individuals in those projects.
Got any ideas of what project would be fun to do next? Would you like to participate in future projects? Just leave a comment or email me at peegeeonethree

BLESSINGS!

Back to School!

2010-02-07T21:55:00.000-08:00

Never thought I would see the day, that I could once again go back to school.

At long last, this Winter is finally coming to a close. ENTER SPRING SEMESTER!
And it is just like a blessing coming from above; for despite the economic situation that haunt so many of us, young students, and the young at heart, there were just enough funding for ONE course this semester. Alas, what about books, material, services, health and parking fees? You might ask... Well, there, my dearest, lies the execution charge that will send me in that spiral straight to death by debt. Is there anything we could do to help out? Glad you ask, if you think you can help me out financially, you can donate to the cause and assist me on getting what I need to get an education this year. Any amount is welcome and after all fees are paid, with the surplus on financial assistance provided by you, the surplus will be donated to a charity in your name/s.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE
All you financial attributions will be greatly appreciated.
Please leave a comment with a charitable suggestion just in case there is a surplus.
Estimated financial need for Spring 2010 ~ $120.00 give or take. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Where has the fourth gone to?

¡Ya Vienen Los Reyes Magos!

After New Year's Day, Mexican families still have a very special date to commemorate and enjoy. On January 6, most of the Hispanic world celebrates El Dia De Reyes, the Epiphany, remembering the day when the Three Wise Men following the star to Bethlehem, arrived bearing their treasured gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for Baby Jesus.

The Reyes Magos In La Alameda
A couple of days ealier, the children write letters to the Wise Men, or the their favorite Rey Mago: Melchor, Gaspar, or Baltasar, asking for the presents they would like to receive.
During the evenings before the great celebration on January 6th, some families go to the Alameda, in Jalisco, a beautiful park that dates back to the Colonial Era. There, every year, hundreds of stands are placed with food, toys and best of all, there are sets, where children can have their picture taken with the Three Kings of the Orient.
Hundreds of multicolored helium balloons are sold during the season, so the little ones can attach their letters to them and have them fly, carrying all their wishes with them. If they forgot their letters at home, there are also salesmen that offer writing paper and envelopes specially designed for the occasion and address them to the Reyes Magos. This tradition of going to the Alameda Park is passed down from generation to generation.

January 6, Dia de Reyes
On the night of January 5th, the figures of the Three Wise Men are added to the nativity scene. Before going to bed, the children place their old shoes under their bed or in the living room, where the Wise Men will leave them their presents. Some also place them outside the house with some hay and a bucket of water for the animals, and even some place cookies and milk for Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar.
You can feel the excitement building up! Those twinkling eyse, the children eagerly and constantly asking the time, wishing for time to go faster so theu could opend their presents. Going to bed reluctantly.
As soon as they wake up, they run to see the gifts that the Three Magi left for them. Happiness overflows every latino family's home.
The children spend the day playing and admiring each other's presents, shring them with friends, talking about how they were able to hear or see the Reyes Magos when they arrived at their home, and how one of them heard the camel's hoofsteps, other saw a shining crown in the dark night, and their stories would go on and on!
Meanwhile, the adults prepare for the Merienda de Reyes, an early evening dinner that friends and families share to celebrate the Epiphany. [TONIGHT]

Rosca de Reyes
Peple go to the markets and grocery stores to get the necesary ingredients to prepare the feast.
In all LatinAmerica, bakeries offer the Rosca de Reyes, an oval shaped sweetbread, decorated with candied fruit.
The Merienda de Reyes is truly a multicultural event. The Spaniards(the Spanish) brought the tradition of celebrating the Epiphany and sharing of the Rosca to the New World. The Rosca is served along with Tamels, made from corn, which was a pre-Hispanic food per excel lance, and hot chocolate. FYI: Chocolate is also a gift from the native peoples of the New World.
Hidden withing this delicious Rosca, is a plastic figurine of Baby Jesus. The Baby is hidden to symbolize the need to find a secure place where Jesus could be born, a place where King Herod would not find Him.
Each person cuts a slice of the Rosca. The knife represents the danger in which Baby Jesus was whe Herod ordenated the killing of the new borns.
One by one, the guests carefully inspect their slice, hopping they get the figurine, for it represents the Blessings upon your Home. Although most latinos would reject Baby Jesus...
Whoever got the baby figurine shall be the host, and invite everyone present to another celebration on February 2nd, Candelaria or Candle Mass Day. [...weird names huh.] the host also shall get a new Ropon or dress for Baby Jesus from the Nativity scene. [THIS I didn't know... lol]
The Mexican Christmas Season, and some other LatinAmerican families as well, is joyously extended up to February 2nd! When the Nativity scene is put away, and another HUGE family dinner of delicious tamales and hot chocolate is served with great love and happiness.

¡Happy Reyes Magos Day!

Feeling poetic...

Thus the darkness engulfed
the little that remained of light.
O how I loath thy coldness."

FELIZ DIA DE REYES!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day with your family and friends.

HOLIDAY KICK OFF!

2009-11-25T23:52:00.000-08:00

First off, thank you to all of you who sent me "Get Well" notes. I am feeling much better now.

And in that note,

Let me wish you ALL a happy and merry holiday season! Starting of course with THANKSGIVING, enjoy those dinners with the family and the friends. Have in mind not to over eat or else you will end up on the couch reciting your "Last Will and Testament" to all. FOOD COMMA aint a good thing, you know. PLEASE, don't drink and drive ... or else you run the risk of spilling your refreshing beverage all over your luxurious mode of transportation. But seriously, BE AS DRY AS THE "GREAT SALT PLAINS"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

As you may have read on my last post, there was this event at UC Irvine, a fundraiser of some sorts.

That was "The Liwanag[Light of God] 9th Annual Homeless Outreach Benefit Concert Hallelujah! Your LOVE is Amazing" ... phew, that was a mouthful... taken place on Friday night at the Engineering Lecture Hall; and let me tell you, IT WAS AMAZING!

If you so happen to come interested on the performances of the evening, here is a You[Tube] Playlist from silverbluefire:

Hallelujah! Your LOVE is Amazing

THANK YOU!!!

Sidetrack Video

2009-10-29T23:38:00.000-07:00

I had a load of difficulties trying to post a video into one of my blog posts. The issue... "Updated Editor" and the solution wasn't reached until after a couple of hours of headaches, and intrusiating pain.

The solution... "Old Editor"
Leave it to the IPs to 'update' the editor and leave out the 'video upload' button from the format bar. I favor the 'updated' one a little more than the 'old' one, even after the updated gave me some issues while uploading them pictures.

Well, after this post, I'll be switching the post editor back to updated. I can handle going back and forth just whenever I want to upload a video. And talking about video, here is just a sneaker peaker at the halloween project I'm helping my friends with.

Photo Colorizing

2009-10-24T16:12:00.000-07:00

Finally!

Just after a week of ramblings, the time has finally come to make public the projects that have been assigned in class and already submitted.

Before I start posting anything, let me just tell you a little about my current courses at SAC. This semester is scheduled with three weekly classes, Photoshop I, InDesign I, and Fireworks I. Although this Blog was assigned in my Fireworks course, I decided to publicize the other projects as well.

Without further ado, this is photo retouching:

Photoshop I: Project 1

This is a family portrait of my father's family.

The 'original' image was 'black&white' but scanned with color settings. The colors where based upon the family's current personalities and characterizations, I've got to admit that I was going just a little crazy with the project, and make it more goof than just retouch. The color scheme was derived of a photograph that was manipulated to look cartoonish, the photo was taken by my friend Tony Tran, and spoofed by this crazy fella. *points to self*

Making a Blog

2009-10-23T10:51:00.000-07:00

I'm almost very certain that everybody knows what a blog is and also how to creat one. Unless there's someone just like myself that didn't care squat about blogging and the such. This has been a challenge for me, for I don't have the habit of writing nor expresing myself. Thanks to this project, doors have been open, doors I didn't even knew were there.

moving on...

What is this project about?

Have in mind that the spects of the project had to be followed as written in order to promote easyness and compativility with the class. I mean they are there so that everyone has the same items and thus be easier to follow along with the instructor's instructions.

After going through the assignment handout again, I've realized that I haven't yet followed the directions to the letter... YET.

And I most certainly will not stick to the instruction... as now it is obvious. Just look at them previous posts, and the coming ones as well.

I decided to include posts based on my other two classes at this institution.

Be patient...

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

I'm on the works of creating... I mean, REcreating the steps it took me to get here. Due to unforseen complications.

Two Down

2009-10-21T22:04:00.000-07:00

This morning started with second guesses.
Starting with the morning routine, what to do... what to do?

Decided on attending class, perhaps this time there will be someone in the lab that would let us work on our exercises. Well, there WAS! But even when it all was starting to look great, there comes the MIDTERM!
Dun-dun-duuuunn...!

Not bad, but not perfect either. An application tools shortcuts midterm... Yes, the easiest thing ever, even then... I couldn't come up with ever single one. Some where correct for certain, a couple where defenitelly questionable, and then there were the ones I didn't even fill in. But to make up for my lack of recalling information, I tried to name the ones that wheren't even numbered. O, but there is also a back side to this... If I hadn't just curiously turned the paper, I would most definetelly get -50% by default. Lucky me.

It didn't really take much to complete the examination, concequently giving more time for lab work. By the way, don't you loath it when the files you've been hard working with didn't save appropriatelly, or you accidentally erased what you've worked on? Well, that really does put a dent on your progress. Luckally, my file wasn't that messed up, but it did set me back quite significantly. Committed to turn in exercise five by the end of the day... I got to it! It didn't take as much time as expected to rework the file, granted I got going on exercise 6, quite a long one may I add.
By the end of this little ordeal, there was still some time left on the clock to make a good dent on exercise 7. I skimmed through the chapter, decided it wouldn't take much but the drive was already short on free space. And I didn't want to lose any work on the other projects I am currently working on.
'Till monday then...
-two down-
