Huntington Beach Public Library Central Branch offers a seed lending program .
This is super cool. Basically you can check out 3 packs of seed per month at no cost. If the plant you grow provides seeds you can bring seeds back to the seed library.

Check out their website to see if there is a seed library near you.

The Huntington Beach Public Library, 7111 Talbert Ave, HB, CA 92648, is partnering with Garden Pool and is offering a seed lending program. The Seed Library is stored in a hand-crafted card catalog on the first floor of the Central Library. Any Huntington Beach Public Library card holder can check out up to three seed packets per month, plant, and donate seeds back to the Seed Library at the end of the growing season. The Huntington Beach Public Library is only one of a few libraries in California to offer a seed lending program. This movement has been spreading throughout the United States to create a sustainable and diverse stock of seeds for households and communities to freely access. “Seed Libraries provide the public with access to free seeds for their garden to grow nutritious food.” Garden Pool President, Dennis McClung said. “Garden Pool feels that the partnership with Huntington Beach Public Library will prove to be a very popular feature at this amazing library. Garden Pool wanted to bring a public seed library to Orange County, but we needed the right place with volunteers. That’s where Huntington Beach Public Library stepped in. We are all very excited for the ribbon cutting ceremony on March 19th at 2:30 p.m. at the Central Branch and home of the new Seed Library.” The Seed Library will focus on edible plants that are well suited for the Southern California climate and terrain. There will be future free classes at the Library on seed starting, seed saving and how to cook from your garden. Patrons can access the Seed Library during regular Library hours Monday from 1 p.m. through 9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Library is closed on Sunday. Wow. That pretty much sums up my review of this series from Anne Rice. I read the series with absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. This series is not for the weak of heart. It is a story based on Sleeping Beauty being woken by a brazen prince. After that the similarities end. All I can say about this series is Anne Rice has outdone herself. This series is full of kink and sex. If you are into that type of literature this book is for you.

I give this book 4 stars.

It tasted like a top of the line gourmet granola bar. The blend of dark chocolate and peanut butter with a little crunch made my mouth water.

With a houseful of four kids and two parents we do a lot of laundry. We wash and wash and wash and get so burned out on it sometimes we leave the laundry in the washer a little bit too long ( ok days sometimes). Well when that happens clothes get a funky smell. Come on people you know that smell. Anyways I was sent a bottle of Smelly Washer cleaner to try and it couldn't have come at a better time.

My oldest son plays football and the middle son plays baseball so their clothes really stink. They stink really bad. I think that stink makes my washer and the clothes I wash in there a little stinky too!

Since I am on laundry duty today (it's pouring outside so I have no excuse) I decided to try it out. I am impress it really does work. The funky smell is gone. So if you have stinky washing machine check them out for yourself.

I was recently sent a ValueRays® PINK Warm Mouse III to review. First thing I noticed was the pink ribbon etched into the mouse. A portion of each purchase of the Pink ValueRays® Warm Mouse III will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Fight Against Cancer!

I opened the package and hooked it up to my computer. It took just a few seconds of using it before it started warming my hand. What a difference the heat makes if you're on the computer for a while. I have had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery and this mouse really helps.
The only downfall of this mouse is that it is not wireless.

Holey Gourment Donuts Review

Low Fat donuts?? I mean come on people I have tried some of the pre-packaged 100 calorie donuts from the grocery store and they are 100 calories because they are tiny. When Holey Donuts contacted me and asked if I would like to review their cinnamon rolls, I jumped at the chance.

They sent me three flavors to try:
Jumbo Reduced Fat Cinnamon Buns
Reduced Fat Blueberry Vanilla Cinnamon Buns
Low Fat Cinnamon Bun Middles

While I enjoyed all of them my favorite was the Jumbo Reduced Fat Cinnamon Buns. I placed one on my plate and heated it for a few seconds in the microwave. After my first bite I was in awe. They taste decadent, I would have never known it was lowfat. It has a lot of cinnamon , just the way I like it. With the perfect amount of icing drizzled over it. It was more of a dense cinnamon roll than a fluffy one from the donut shop. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 10!

They have all kinds of donuts and pastries to choose from!
These would be great to order and take to work to share with your co-workers. Or to just order a box for your freezer and warm them up whenever the urge hits.

The Snowman’s Song Book Review

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know about the cutest little snowman book I just reviewed. The book is called The Snowman's Song: A Christmas Story
Story by Marilee Joy Mayfield and Illustrations by Tracy La Rue Hohn.

The story is about this snowman who wants to sing Christmas carols to celebrate the season but is unable to as he has no voice. It's an uplifting story about believing in yourself and shows miracles do come true.

I highly recommend this book to all ages. This is a beautiful bedtime story to share with your child.

The book retails for $19.95 but is on sale for $16.95 here.

With four kids we host a lot of birthday party's. This year my oldest son will be turning 18 and also graduating from high school. So lots of celebrations this year! What is more fun then a house full of balloons to make the party more festive? Well being the frugal gal I am , I came across Balloon Time helium tanks. I love yogurt. Every morning at work I have a yogurt with a crunchy granola bar mixed into it. I have it five days a week and it's a treat. When the folks at MyBlogSpark offered me the chance to review Fiber One yogurt I jumped on the chance.
I used my coupon and bought the Peach flavor. I was a little leery because of the added fiber but the yogurt was creamy and had no after taste. They offer several other flavors such as strawberry, key lime and vanilla. The best part is they are only 50 calories! The only thing I would change would be to make the serving size a little bit larger.
