It can be really dificult to choose a dress for homecoming when you are a girl with curves. Many teenage style dresses show a lot of flesh like legs and upper arms that bigger girls are not always comfortable with. However there are ways that you can wear these style of dresses by choosing your accessories carefully. Think about color too, you probably want to wear something that is bright but make sure that it suits your skin tone. Lime greens, bright pinks and blues will suit darker skin tones whilst reds and purples will look good on all color skins.

Don't forget you can add a shrug, bolero or wrap to hide upper arms, and who says you have to have bare legs. Why not wear colored pantyhose, or choose fishnet tights.

So I guess you all may have noticed that I love pretty lingerie, hey no reason why curvy chicks can't look pretty and sexy all at the same time. I have a fairly huge lingerie collection, no pun intended, and that was one of the reasons that I created my Squidoo Lenses Plus Size Corsets and Plus Size Lingerie. I just new that there had to be other big girls out there who like me loved their sexy and cute lingerie as much as I did.

Anyway, it has been my wedding anniversary this weekend, so of course that's a great reason to purchase some fabulous new plus size lingerie, a girl can never have too much silk, satin and ruffles in their lingerie drawer, or in my case shelves and drawers!

I am really in to pattern and color at the moment, so here are my recent purchases.
I adore the pucci print silk sleep shirt. I feel that it has got a real designer vibe going on.

So denim jeans can be a curvy girl's best friend. But where can you find great plus size jeans and how do you know what cut and style suits you best. Personally I own at least 7 pairs of jeans of various styles from skinny leg to capri, to my current favorites 70's style flares. Good fitting jeans can work as well as control panties on flattening a tum and smoothing lumps and bumps, avoid the dreaded muffin top by wearing tops that aren't too tightly fitted or invest in a tummy smoothing camisole or waist cincher.

Denim Plus Size Dos and Don'ts

If you wear a denim mini skirt then counterbalance the hemline by wearing it with flats or a low heel. Don't wear high heels as it will make the mini even mini-er, if you insist on wearing heels then go for a wedge rather than stiletto heel. You want to look classy not trashy!

Do wear fitted denim pencil skirts. They're just as sexy as a miniskirt and will flatter and accentuate your curves but in a stylish and sophisticated way.

Do find a style and fit of jeans that works for you and stick with it, don't be dicatated to by the latest denim trend. A good pair of jeans can be updated constantly with a trendy top or jacket.

Don't EVER wear tight white denim. It's not even flattering on skinny girls.

Do wear white denim in a flattering fit with a darker top and colorful accesories, this will make your outfit POP!

Don't forget that, despite what many believe, denim does not go with everything. I'm thinking denim, studs and lace...Nooooooo!

Do wear a fitted jacket or blazer with your favorite pair of jeans. If you have curves then go for a jacket with one button at the waist, or if you are apple shaped choose a boxy jacket. This will give you a real pulled together look.

One of the huge style trends for the Spring Summer season is tribal prints.
