End of an Era

Hi beloved friends and readers near and far!

In case you haven't noticed, Sharon and I have ceased our blogging on this side-project of a site since graduating from law school. This was always meant as a form of creative outlet during our stressful and death-related-thoughts-inducing 3 years of hell, and, well, it has fulfilled its duty and role with as much honor and dignity as a blog is able.

We want to thank you for following us through the crazy 5 posts a day during exam time, and staying with us through the long summer droughts when weeks could go by before either of us had something to share with our awesome stalkers. I mean, friends. We weren't the best at keeping up with this, and seriously, thanks for sticking around as long as you did.

If you'd still like to see what we're up to and what we're in to these days, Sharon and I both have our own separate blogs that are more geared to our personal interests: hers gives people a nice warm and cozy feeling with posts about food, family, crafts, art, and useful everyday tips; mine pretty much just boils down to shopping, fashion, and other random junk I find interesting. Imma link our individual blogs below, and you go ahead and guess as to which belongs to whom.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I was on vacay in Europe, and have been at home in Dallas for the last week catching up on 3 months worth of sleep and eating like a normal person (instead of ramen everyday). And I'm not sure what Sharon's been up to, but considering that now we're both done with school and we have more time for actually having a real life, it'll be hard to keep up with this. But we'll try.

For now, the new Paramore video - 'Ignorance' (P.S. they're awesome live, if you ever get the chance to see them.)

Because I will be in PARIS (details to come later) on August 3rd, and I probably won't have access to internet, or I will get the time differences mixed up, here is a timed post that I hope she'll see in her Google Reader next Monday.

MBMJ Mice

I've said before that elephants are my favorite animals...but in a stroke of irony (? am I using that right? Alanis Morrisette has forever confused me about this word), I also really enjoy mice-shaped things. Note: just mice-SHAPED; I'm not so much a fan of the real animals. Sidenote: I saw on Mythbusters that elephants not liking mice is true! It was really cute - if the elephants saw a mouse, they would take steps back and veer away. They didn't react this way to other things that were small and moved, only to mice. I'm not sure why, but I thought it was adorable.

That being said, I already have a pair of the MBMJ mice flats, and now he goes and makes this:

Do I need this? No. Do I want it? Yes. Would I ever use it? Likely. Sigh.

My new camera, birthday present courtesy of the Amazing Albert. For the first time ever, I'm actually really excited to try taking good pictures and playing with the settings! Normally, I'm just a point, zoom if necessary, and shoot kind of person. I like the functions on this camera a lot:

snapshot, program mode, portrait, soft skin, transform (make people taller/thinner or shorter/wider!), self-portrait, scenery, sports, night portrait, night scenery, food, party, candle light, baby, pet, sunset, aerial, high sensitivity, hi-speed burst, flash burst, starry sky, fireworks, beach, snow, pin hole, and film grain!

Plus, it's pretty.

I'm pretty sure I've written about Slow and Steady before, but this is the first time they've done something in LEATHER. At first glance, I thought, wow - are they really trying to get away with straight up ganking the Birkin shape? But then I noticed that the bag is actually cut like that on ALL 4 SIDES. It's like a giant square of floppy Birkin goodness. Genius.

If 'Procrastination' were a country, I'd be it's reigning Queen. Things I've done today between short bursts of studying include:

Watching an episode of South Park (Lord of the Rings, aka Back Door Sluts IX);
Picking up my birthday present to myself up from the post office, even though I had decided to wait till tomorrow;
Dropping off my laundry;
Going to the grocery store for cut watermelon and left with said cut watermelon, 2/$5 Haagen Daazs (no coffee, though. sad face), 2 lemon-lime Gatorades, and a pack of frosted lemon cookies;
Putting together care package numero...5 or 6? to the bf overseas;
And refreshing my Google Reader every 15 minutes in hopes of interesting articles and funny videos.

And all of this was done wearing my current favorite (as of about the last week or so) "oversized tee" from Topshop - but since I'm nice and short, it's actually pretty much a dress on me, and that's how I wear it. Comfortable, cool...and classy, no?

Waiting for my Cheap Monday Biggie Skull shirt to get in tomorrow, which I'm excited about since I spent, literally, an hour Googling the crap out of it to find somewhere that sold it online in black, instead of the white, which is still available all over the place. And yes, I am well aware that the two shirts are basically the same thing. And I don't care.
