Trivandrum International Airport-Development updates Part II

New Terminal of the Trivandrum International Airport will be operational by May 2009.The work on the new terminal and the approach road is in full swing..You can see the part I upadtes here.

By the middle of this year, the airport will be able to handle 19.47 lakh passengers a year, with a peak hour handling capacity of 800 arriving passengers and 800 departing passengers.Read more news here.

According to the above report the 1st phase will have Software development block and 32000 Sq.ft Food court.

The total area will be 25 lacs Sq.ft once its completed and it will create 15000 job opportunities inside the campus.

I am back with few more updates of Kerala's largest Eco-Township project,Grandtech Garden City,which is coming up just few kilometers away from the city.

The project will have 200 bungalows and 500 apartments in 50 acres.

The construction commenced for the new state-of-the-art International Terminal in April 2007 and work is progressing in trmendous speed and expected to open in scheduled time(march 2009).

The new International Terminal is designed by Atkins(UK) and you can see all the images here and here
