2011-09-01T03:12:00.000-07:00

I have to thank a dear friend of mine for sending me a message about this wonderful site that helps us local Hilo couponers: hilocouponmoms.com (hilo coupon moms on fb)! Brandy Baji is AMAZING person for taking time out of her busy schedule to put together such a well maintained and very informative site such as hers, as well as continuously giving aid to fellow couponers on where to find deals!

If you do nothing else today, or are weary about the "couponing stigma", just stop by hilocouponmoms.com (or check out her blog) and see what it's all about. It's simply Big Island couponing made easier!!

Hawaii Island Humane Society-Keaau Shelter

2011-07-07T21:02:00.001-07:00

The number of animals this little shelter takes in on a monthly basis is astounding, especially considering that it only manages the east side of the island. Their numbers last month were well over 1,000!
That' 1,000+ animals that this non-profit organization took in, fed, medicated, housed, and tried to find homes (if they were healthy enough and had a good temperament).

I've spent my summer thus far volunteering on a rather regular basis and have been able to see first hand the wonderful efforts they put forward in all that they do, and they keep trying no matter how daunting the task, with the knowledge that they can't save every animal. They are all true angels, and I'm glad to have the honor to work with them all.

If you live on the east side of the island of Hawaii and are looking for a new family member, please stop by and take a look at the animals the Hawaii Island Humane Society-Keaau Shelter have up for adoption.

Couponing deals at CVS/Longs Drugs & Walgreens

2011-07-07T02:11:00.000-07:00

I'm still relatively new to couponing, but I have to admit that I'm addicted to it already. The fact that spending as little as a dollar could save you 10 times that amount in other goods and even services is AMAZING!!

Here are some of the steals I got this past Sunday at two stores in my area!

14 (I gave one away, so 13 in the picture) FREE toothbrushes from Walgreens.
They have a sale on this brush: 2/$2 and in P&G this sunday there's a $2 off 2 coupon.

Total purchase: $2.09 at CVS/Longs Drugs
8 Aussie hair products and 13 Oral B floss.
The Aussie hair products were on sale for $1.99 and in P&G there's a $3 off 2 coupon making them FREE
The floss were on sale for $0.89 and in P&G there were $0.75 off coupons making them $0.14 each.
