Looks like these days only movies make me to Blog. Should I blame it on Work or not, I seriously dont know. I find very little time spending time in front of my personal laptop. Even If I do, that's only to catch a 40 minute episode. Going back to Chola Days... First Collective Thought after the movie .. What the Fuck...

Should we call it the directors Obsession .. Too much of blood, sex and violence and death... Yeah we have witnessed all of these in a number of western films but to a tamil film, Yeah we do have it in quite a few films, but Aariyathil Oruvan takes a leap ahead of all of them and stays on top. That's the first thing anybody will say, when you ask them for the movie review.

Is the movie enjoyable? That's a question that I am still figuring out to answer. First half of the film was enjoyable Thanks to only Karthi, but for him I think I would have washed the blood from myself when coming out of the theatre. We all afforded ourselves to laugh a bit only due to his presence. Somehow the actor was able to bring smiles to everyone in the hall with his body language and mannerisms. There are lots of unanswered questions in the movie that actually makes the film unlikable. Come on, Selva, you can't expect us to understand everything, I am not talking about the History behind the Cholas/Pandiyas, the story in that area is understandable as to why and what for the group searches for their existence. Its the thing revolving around that which is actually confusing.

Movie starts off well, enough you to make you sit upright in the hall, tells us of a little flashback for 5 minutes and cut to present era. I am not sure why Andrea isn't shown with some good make up. Visibly you see all pimples on her face. Or was it done on purpose that a archaeologist will be bound to have them spending a lot of time under the sun. ---- So the entire crew board a ship to some distant unpronounceable island. Things all go well here. The plot from here till the interval is all fresh to Present day tamil cinema. We have seen things like these in times of "Kanavane Kan Kanda Deivam' and around it. Those long expedition to find some magical cure or the heart of Green Parrot etc etc:- But then quite a visual treat. Karthi here kind of steel the shows, You see all of Selvaraghavan usual touch here. You kind of get well into the movie expect for some very very poor CG works. Film even goes at great speed and lands straight into 'Un Mela aasadhan' right when you expect it. After the end of the song, thats when the movie goes haywire.

Why the heck does Reema, Andrea and Karthi lose their sense, make weird faces, strip and go out of control. That's when the movie goes out of control too. For a period of 10 minutes, you don't know what the heck happened and the whole thought of whether you like the film or not gets into your head. Having heard enough things about R.Parthiban in the movie, you expect him to rock in the second half. But he is a comedy piece in the movie. First of all, though Tamil, it was difficult to comprehend what exactly they say, add to it the Gory human faces and the set. The whole treatment makes you Yuck!!! Understood it is fantasy, but then still Reema Sens little flash back somehow doesn't justify. It just didn't attach itself to the story. Well forget to write about the Lord Siva's shadow scene. That was very impressive at least I liked it. Fantasies like these are understandable and it went along with the movie but then I couldn't stand myself to see Reema sen honing a Magicians Hat. Comes Parthiban,real comedy piece in the movie, His body language, way of speech and the King's greasepaint actually humiliates the actor.

'Thai Thindra Manne' - What a wonderful composition from G V Prakash, but then in the movie though it fits well into the situation, the lead actor and actress saltation makes it worse and makes the song unlikable. Lyrics of 'Thai Thindra Manne' actually talks about the gist of the Chola Kingdom stay in the dark ( per the movie fantasy ) but then with the body language of Parthiban and Reema for the song, actually makes it a mockery. I wish the dialogues rendered at least was like the lyrics of this song, but then it was too core or I don't know what to call it, you sometimes wish you had a subtitle for what they speak. Well what about G V Prakash, by the time you are in the climax of the movie, the BGM becomes a noise which was till then was pleasant and astounding. I just wished wont they mute the BGM and show the war scene at the end of the movie. Malai Neram, for those of you who haven't watched th emovie, don't expect this song in the movie. This Song won't even fit into the trailer of this movie, I wonder why they then even composed this song, I just wish Selvaraghavan uses this song in his coming movies, I am not sure if he will ever take a movie in which Malai Neram Fits.

Was the film a visual treat? Visuals Yes.. Visuals which are completely new to Tamil Cinema. Treat.. LOL... you can't really call it a treat though. Who has the more weightage in the movie? Before the movie it was rumored that Karthi in the first half and Parthiban in the movie. No, its Reema Sen.Definitely not a family entertainer. I was surprised to see actually a lot of families turn up in the theater. When I say Family, I mean thata,patti, appa, amma, annan akka, kutti pasanga. etc ect. a little crowd of 10. I wonder what would have been their reaction after the movie. What they would be speaking after the movie.

Enough. I will stop it here. Time is running late.. Remind you, he is the one who was behind PudhuPettai, Yaradi Nee Mohini's Telugu Version and Kadhal Konden. Director has gone leaps and bounds in visualizing this script. He has attempted a film which none of his contemporaries would dare to attempt. Seriously a Himalayan taskbut then What good it is, if it doesn't entertain you and leaves you perplexed.

2 Weeks of a relaxed vacation comes to an end, I wonder when will I get another 2 weeks of 'Not to do Anything'. The next vacation that I might get will be that of my marriage vacation. I have no clue of when will that be, but I know that wont be a relaxing vacation. No I don't want to blog about Marriage and stuffs, I will save it later. November 2009, I have a feeling that time flies by faster than the days when I went to school. Even with Quarterly Holidays, Half-yearly and Annual Holidays, plus a bunch of other holidays including those days of heavy rain, I always count for days to get over. I felt nostalgic about school days today when I heard the news today that schools and colleges will be shut down tomorrow because of the heavy rains. BS!!, the government should make it mandatory to shutdown even the private consulting and servicing companies to go down for the day without a compensatory work day the following Saturday. I would rather like to work on a rain Tuesday than the compensatory Saturday.

I used to count one class by class. Periods after Periods, session by session, staff by staff, Lunch time was the only time of the day in School, we all loved. Everything else was a boring affair. Even after coming home from school, and playing for 2 hours till sun set, I still have a feeling I have another 6 solid hours to goto sleep half of which will go away doing all those mundane home-works. I really felt every day which dragged me from January 1st to December 31st. For all I know, for the first time of my life, before I could realise what has happened, 6 months flew - right after I finished 12th and till September 18th of 2000 when I stepped into college. Those 6 months I really couldn't realise what happened every day, time just zoomed. Days of 'Whatever' attitude, I still couldn't recollect what I did in those days except umpteen number of movies in Devi/Satyam Theaters for which me and my friends used a catch a bus, foot-board on it to the theatre. That's the only recollection that I could think of. I am very much I didn't even spend a single time of which remotely useful to me in anyway, but time which I will cherish throughout, Days of unknown happiness. Days when me, Sathish and Chandru didn't know of the word boredom and a walk to the next bus stop was something which would thrill us to the maximum.

Even with no vacation throughout the year, even with half weekends of a year to slog at the office, even with a day starting from 8 in the morning and ends at 12 in the night ( @ Office Premises ) ,those days of boring mundane activities and those days where you wish nobody calls you and all you like to do is lay on the bed and watch some boring movie, eat and sleep, its like

If I am going to start this blog by saying ' After a long hiatus, I am back to blogging' its going to sound cliched.

Lr.Aldo Raine : You know somethin', Utivich? I think this might just be my masterpiece.

Not sure whether QT wanted this piece of dialogue to say for himself or Lr.Aldo Raine Swastika carving at the end of the movie. Yes that's what the Basterds do ( I will go with Tarantino way of spelling it ). They carve a Nazi Swastika to the last survivors to spread the word about the Inglourious Basterds. This is the modus operandi which they conceive and enter into France territory. This is one part of the screenplay. The other part shift focus to the revenge of a surviving girl whose families gets killed by Landa - The Jew Hunter. I will leave the plot here for the rest of you to watch it at the theatres. Initially I kind of doubted whether I would be able to follow the film given the nature of QTs film and above all the film set in the world war 2 era. One thing that I never understood and never cared to understand is the WW2, all those Nazis, France, German, Hitler, Third Reich Terminologies always confuse me. Hence I was pondering whether the film would have a complicating plot nothing like that, its a neat and solid story, never boring at any instant.

After the successful Mokka from Aadhavan, Peraanamai and Kanden Kaadhlai, ( dont believe those reviews from those leading cinema dailies ), Iam gonna hunt and shoot those Reviewers and carve something onto their head. Inglourious Basterds was the perfect Saturday Night that happened to us after those unsuccessful attempts to watch a nice movie at the theatre. Soundtrack of the movie was excellent and its plays as yet another character in the movie especially the silence, somehow only QT brings the suspense and edge of the seat experience with this mute attempt. It seriously adds up tension and interest towards the film.

The worst thing that is to happen towards the end of the movie is to pay Rs60 towards parking. Inox Complex should seriously reconsider this parking fee for people who come to watch the movie and not club it with the parking fee of the people who come for shopping, somehow they should differentiate between the two sect of people.

After a long hiatus from blogging for various reasons , I badly wanted to write about my brief stint in US and the feel back home after returning from the place. But due to time and stuffs, I couldn't spend some time writing what I really felt. Today I went to Kandasamy and l couldn't help myself talking about the movie.

Was the wait really Worth ? I really hate to say NO but then looks like that's the case. Nothing in the film actually impressed me, we have seen all these stories from Gentlemen. After you watch films like Kandaswamy, you really get to know the intelligence behind people like A R and RahmanShankar. Director Shankar, though number of his films is based on a social cause, his later films like Anniyan and Sivaji, I say was very gripping, the comedy element in Anniyan and Sivaji, made people really laugh, thanks to Vivek. The story line though predictable, didn't bore us for 180 minutes+ and above all Climax was mind blowling and song picturisation and composition -I am lost for words to describe them, they were simply terrific.

Kandaswamy cleared miss all of them.

Shreya - 20 Lakhsam vangitu 200 Laksham nadichiruka sorry kamichiruka. She easily fits into all those skimpy dresses, suits her perfectly. But podhum, ATMla edupa aata aramichava, nirutha matengara... coz towards the end of the movie, even watching Shreya did takes you an effort.

Vikram - Nothing really to talk about his Great Actor in this movie. This movie would have been a cakewalk for him. No scope for him to enact really. He just comes and goes and his presence just fills it up. That's all, but to imagine another actor here, I say it would have been really irritating.

Visuals- cant really say it as a plus, everything was shown very rich, but then it didn't look pleasing to me. The kadupu is those yellow/red/green tints given for certain sequences. I don't know if that is really necessary.

Those are the only positive things that I can think of.

Background Score or is it Background Noise. That's why I mentioned earlier, you will get to know the intelligence behind Rahman. Songs does start off well, but then come the first paragraph of the song, you wish you can go for a dum outside. Like Vivek says, ponnunga kooda eppo ellampatu vandha dum adika poranga :)

Susi Ganesan - LOL, please don't ask him to do any cameo roles. By the time he comes in the movie, you feel like tearing the screen apart.

Don't know why Vikram's different get up was stressed while the making of the movie. All those characters comes for hardly for 5 minutes and didn't really make any impact whatsoever.

Vadiivelu - It was really pity to watch the actor not bring any smiles to the audiences. ( Overnight Obama was the only dialogue that he uttered made me smile a bit )

and ofCourse the storyline, though the message intented to convey was commendable, the screenplay doesn't make an impact.

3 hours and 20 Minutes, I say cut down by a hour and still I doubt will be any more better :( .

somehow, somethings in the movie, makes you sit and watch continuously, but nothing overall impresses anything. After you step out of the theatre, you keep humming En ooooruMeenakumari tune and nothing else really stays on the mind.

So Mr.Kanthaswamy, please Excuse Us :)

Adhu Oru Kaalam...

After a long hiatus, I am back. Its been more than 2 months since I blogged some crap. Couldn't blame it entirely on work, laziness,preoccupation, Winter, snow ;) etc etc sometimes its nice to take a break in everything that you do. Feels good.

December 1st 2008 - eagerly waiting for January 1st 2009, counting my days for the year to end... Yet another year passes by... I had lots to write for the year 2007, as the new year was coming around the corner, the thought process started, I looked at that post and wondered did I follow it up with where I left the previous year. 100 watts bulb glowed brightly above my head. 2007, I thought kept me really busy and preoccupied with a number of thoughts, I have to accustom myself through a number of changes. Compared to that 2008 was one of themokkaist of all the years especially career wise, it was a full year of dull, not so challenging, lazy times at office.

Looking back at some snippets from that post --

2008- the entire year under Uncle Sams guardianship, Hmmm what to say.. traveled to a number of places, met friends, kind of got lucky to have half of my gang here, ending up making trips to each ones residence was the biggest fun.

apart from all of these, some of the things worthwhile mentioning is I tried to read a lot of things, gave an big attempt to burn lots of fat and calories, i tried to lose weight but it always finds me, in the process, I lost weight in all parts of my body except my tummy, literally did nothing in office yet was busy ;) , fist time experience with snow - all I say is I had enough of it in just 6 months, wonder how people live here for a life time, things which have been quit are being given a second chance to quit themselves,gave a 'Fuck it all' attitude towards everything.

What else, With every passing day, you have thought me this is life and life goes on....( this one from yours Arch, how can I forget you :P )

December 31st 2008 - New years eve, where I was.. We were struggling hard to meet our friends before the clock striked 12. Some of us celebrated New Year in my so called kaarakatakaaran Vandi :), but we made it to January 1st 2009 at Galena nick of time, what would have happened that night is well understood.

so that 2008 for me, and 35 days in 2009 , nothing so great yet :P , and another Valentines Days will go as yet another Saturday in my life :(

coming to Slumdog Millionaire.. dai Oscar/Golden Globe committees,,, neenga ellam Roja, Thiruda Thiruda, RDB, Lagaan, Dilli 6, Swades, Taal, ALaipayuthey,hayo evalo eruku.. edhu ellam ketu erukingalada... Adei.. Slumdog Millionaire is very mediocare in Rahmans Standards... adhu ellam keta neenga past 16 years "Oscars best composers" need to be rewritten.. But anyway its a start and road laid ahead for many to come.

WOW I just loved this movie a lot. When I was watching this movie, I wanted to write a lot about this movie, in fact I was kind of thinking of blogging about the movie while I was in the mid of it. So many things struck me, so many things to relate upon, interesting snippets from the movie, but its been more than a month since I watched it, now all I remember is I loved the movie and nothing else. All those things that I actually wanted to write, couldn't remember a bit. Its worth seeing this movie, though very long, close to 3 hours, that can make you sleep in between, nevertheless its a wonderful movie.

Bond 22

Starting a film with a car chase or sleek action sequences is becoming a fashionable style these days... and Quantum of Solace ( QoS )is no exception to it and the shot is so swift/disordered that if you blink your eyes for a second, you are lost as to what goes where and who is who.

Never Have I watched a Mid Night show in theatres, QoS is the first movie, the show started at around 12 30 Am in the morning and whats more exciting was the trailer of Angels & Demons. But then again the movie Da Vinci Code stood a long way from its book version. Hope Angels & Demons is better than its previous version.

QoS starts from where Casion Royale was left...and the action doesnt stop till the end. 1 hour and 45 minutes of action packed chases in land, water, air... Critical Reviews in the net say Casino Royale was better than it's sequel,somehow I ended up liking both. Of course there is the question of Bond Stuffs missing in the movie,personally this was more of a Bond movie the way it used to be in the book version long back. Without gadgets and a vulnerable bond,well they say there is the bourne series and others for these types of films. However the film does stands good when compared with them, the question of whether it has a bong tag, who cares, I asked for action and it gave me plenty of them that wasn't tiresome unlike Eagle Eye/Wanted in the recent past where the action sequences kind of get you bored after some point in the movie.

The movie Casino Royale ends with Bond shooting Mr.White in his leg and introducing himself as 'Bond, James Bond, I thought even QoS is gonna end like the because that notable dialogue didn't come throughout the movie and in the end it was a disappointment. Not sure whether they deliberately wanted to do that.Also the stylish James Bond theme also doesn't appear once during the movie, only during the end credits the theme is played in the background and also Bond does woo the Bond Girl but not unlike what it is in the other Bond Movies ( Simpleaa sollanuma matter scene ellam ethuvum ella ) and Yeah no big gadgets stuff as well.

Number of reviews says QoS is bad and doesn't live up to expectations, I don't go along with it. I liked the movie and enjoyed it thoroughly. May be its not like a Pierce Brosnan's Bond Movie, but its definitely a Daniel Craig's Bond Movie. The movie is definitely not a waste of time.

When you look back, it's always an amazing journey be it good or bad, you win or lose, the experience matters. What did 'The Blogosphere' give me. Kill Time, Kill others time and Friends, lots of new friends and yeah of course keeping in touch with old buddies from school and college, but for them this wouldn't be possible, its easy for a single blog to be posted, but for the next one to follow, 'comments' are needed to boost your confidence, that someone somewhere has read your mokkai and they are ready to read another mokkai of yours as well..

Why all this coz this is my 150th Post... adhuku than endha buildupuuuu :) ( kuruvi padam 150 days ooodum na.. nambuluthum 150 post varum :P ) When I started blogging, I thought its going to be yet another activity which is going to dry up sometime down the lane. Initially I wanted to change my template and name this post as Google Template 2.0, made some minor changes, some flying text, font change, change in background color, shortcuts to orkut/reader/gmail/blogger, and was drafting a post on the same, and when I tried to save it as a draft,its when I realized the number 150. It gave me an opportunity to post something, it gave me a new topic to write on. Picking a topic to write is becoming hard these days ( thanks to TAGS )

The First Post I named it as, of course, "First Page" ... coming from a Software Engineering background, I proudly called it my 'Hello World' Post as they say in IT lingo's. It was July 18th 2005. So its been 3 Years and 4 months from then. Next post came 4 days later, tried to come up with a little review kind of a thing... couldn't able to pen down what exactly I had in mind, attempted something.

LOL... the next post.. IT --- > MANAGEMENT .. ha ha.. couldn't stop laughing when I read this.. months when I had CAT/MBA preoccupying my mind always. The next one Blank... LOL. .3 posts and I was running out of topic so soon. The Next One.. ( don't worry I am not going to comment on each of my previous post... ) Love was in the Phone ... hmmmm that was an interesting conversation between a boy and girl ;) .. More nonsense posts followed..

My Dear -- oh yeah Even I tried to write some poems Archana, not good as yours. But padu mosama eruku, I couldnt understand a thing out of that when I read it now. Didn't know what I had in mind then. The frequency of post and nonsense in it was very high in that particular month.

watch all these films the previous night and go for
driving test the next day, you are bound to get the license through.

It's worth getting involved in an accident early while learning to drive than later.As the days goes, the impacts are higher.

Its worth hitting 2 or 3 cars of your neighbors/ strangers and feel guilty rather than hitting a truck in the middle of a high way.

Even with a minimal impact of the car with the external body gives a big dent and puts a very big hole in the pocket, bigger than the hole you can imagine.

The dent will not cost much, but the car mechanic is sure to give other major critical problems which requires immediate attention, if you ask him can it wait ,He jokes mockingly " Do you want the car to blow up in the middle of the road or start with 4 wheels and drive with 3 wheels and end up 2 wheels and he shows the already bloated tires.." phhhhhhhhh

IPhone Rocks... Receiving an IPhone as a Birthday Gift Rocks even more...

The Shining - a 1980 horror film directed by Stanley Kubrick based on a novel,is all about how a winter caretaker gets cabin fever, becomes psychic due to the isolation in a hotel. As we were watching the film, we were reminded of our Savannah days, where we 3 of us almost lived in isolation with the rest of the world. Come Friday Evening with no car to commute anywhere else, we were kind of stuck inside till Monday morning. But for the Internet we would have ended up like the characters in The Shining :P

Week- End : 2 of my friends wanted to Watch Bangkok Dangerous, while I wanted to watch Death Race, but that Sunday night, it turned out we watched the former,in the end those two didn't like the film while I liked it. The film has absolutely nothing in it to call it a worth watching film. But on a Sunday night, half asleep, but still time to sleep, not in a mood to watch a classic or a romantic movie, not a fast paced action movie as well, then this movie fits the bill very well. This is a very slow paced action movie not a fast one. Tons of movies have come like this earlier. Set completely in Bangkok, its all about a serial killer. One particular instance in the movie, the lead pair goes to a temple where the board displays " 50 coins 50 wishes" you drop those 50 coins in a bowl arranged in a row and make a wish, Nostalgia, I myself have done it one time in a temple, but the irony, it turned out to be just a wish. Liked those scenes in the movie where in the romance and killing and teacher-student scenes runs parallel.

Waiting to watch Saroja, Heard the reviews Rock. Guys, please come up with the reviews.

Never Before Experience is what I call Godly. That's how It was. If the experience was Godly, then it must have heaven I believe so. That's How we all felt...Every single cell in mine reverberated today., recharged, pumped up in high energy, What I am talking about. I am just back from a Linkin Park Concert. I have always wanted to attend a musical concert I never had the chance though till yesterday. The first one proved to a e=mc^2 experience. It was a Rock Festival with several bands performing, I knew only one of them, I waited for LP to arrive and Rock and they did and were beyond expectations. Add to it, the Kaleidoscope light effects, Mind Blowing is an understatement for the ecstasy that I had. For some 3 hours, there was nothing but music which was in my mind. Completely drifted away, I felt like 'Blow the outside world'. Arena was jam packed. I wonder how they sing, for singing along them in a single night, my throat has gone bonkers and will take 2-3 days to come to its complacent state. Thanks to me, before going to the concert I did go through the lyrics of the songs if not then I would have been only shouting and that would have been a big bore :P . Sad thing I didn't have any camera with me nevertheless they didn't allow any cameras inside. For the first time I realized that my cell phone camera is of no use in dark. Night Mode was pathetic. Btw Bought a cool Linkin Park T-shirt. It simly rocks. One other Group that captured everybody's attention is Chris Cornell. He rocked as well. In fact LP and they did some duo music. It's more than fun to be in a crowd more than 40000 and listen to Rock Music. The next thing that I want to go is to a A R Rahman Concert ( Ganesh, sorry machi, cant helpt it u see )

Check out the video. The atmosphere was the same and this song was the final song of the show and it simply rocked.

" He read it once, twice, read it again and again. He was completely unsure of what to be replied. He just replied back with his contact number :)

Email Subjects changed from Hi, hey , How are you to Hi daaaaaaaaaaa, sorrryyyyy, why no calls??? Email Stories, day to day happenings, mokka kadala, neighbour problems, cinema coffee kaaram, like wat they say everything under the sun, they left no stones unturned to talk anything under the sky.

One day another email snippet was waiting to knock him down "been wanting to tell u so many things but plz doont ever think i'm being formal. thanx a lot for everthing u do.i've been njoying ur company in every second i spend with u. luv u lots". Their's story was no different from the rest of the others, it was nothing new, but it was fresh and elegant.

It looked like a turn around from a Hello to Occasional Help to regular friendship to what if the other person might think wrong to why not take a chance to a lovely relationship.

I am too bored to write after this,its been more than 10 days since I posted a blog, let me stop here, this will be continued though...but it holds no resemblance to any person living, may be Dead. Like they say, " Based on a Real Life Event " a very loose statement that is,major portion of it will be only fictional. Hence this can also be said inspired from a true story.

The Dark Knight

Several Months Back When I watched the trailer of The Dark Knight in You Tube,
thought was like “What the Hell " ... In a role where Jack Nicholson played as the joker..
will Heath Ledger fit the bill..., has Christopher Nolan gone bonkers or what.
Similar Responses to the trailer in You tube, or rather several responses similar.

Bingo, Bang on Target, Bull Eyes. Now no one talks about Bruce Wayne, Christopher
Nolan or even Batman. It’s Joker all the way around now. It’s dispiriting to know that Heath Ledger has passed away. That was an Oscar winning performance.

If you haven't had a choice to read one of DC Comics Brilliance, Batman, do read it if you
get a chance then you can understand the brilliance behind the script. This definitely doesn't fall under the genre of comic book turned film category. Instead this has the potential to make the reverse true. The perception of one who has read/haven't read the comic definitely will come into play. Those 2 sects will have different reviews/feel for the movie. Reading a single comic and watching the film is as good as not reading at all. I still remember the Batman Show which comes in DD Metro on Saturday's 6 PM when I was going to school. I never missed it. This was the video snippet of the same.

I always watched this during those days. Great Times!!!!

One of the greatest disappointments in the film is Katie Holmes; she wasn’t there in the movie to play the role of Rachel Dowes. That was a big letdown. Somehow Maggie Gyllenhaal was uninspiring. Alfred was as usual. The film looked like Nolan already had a sketch of ‘The Dark Knight’ before 'Batman Begins'. Looks like he warming himself in Batman Begins. The Real sport was The Dark Knight.

Agreed Dark Knight is good. Too good, you bet!! But to beat God Father, Nah. I won’t agree to it. Can’t agree. God Father is an epic by itself. As I post this blog, Dark knight is leading the list with around 1 lakh votes with 9.4,another 1 lakh vote similar .. Freezeeee...The Dark Knight will sustain the spot where God Father was ruling for decades.

The film begins with the famous Joker Bank Robbery, with all the ingredients for a true
action flick. Then as the movie goes I somehow felt bored for the next 40 - 60 minutes, I felt things were dragging. Whenever the Joker comes, one tend to go to the edge of the seat then sliding slowly to the stretched position, the film made me oscillate like this for the first 40-60 minutes, then the rest of the movie is what you call “Pinni Pedal Eruda Padam”... There is no stopping by. The Biggest plus is the music. The slow reverberating batman theme is purely awesome and adds a thrilling, edge of the seat action feel. This is not a movie based on a graphic novel not a action flick. Like the fusion music, for some reason for the screen play in the film, it gives you a different feel. Spider Man, that's a true comic hero adapted film. This one gives you a completely different experience.

Though it was dragging for me in the initial, when the climax reel was spinning I felt like wont the movie be any longer. Won’t I have a sequel to this. Not sure whether the Nolan plans to have sequels for the Batman Series. It will be interesting to see if can bring up Robin into the frame but then it will become like a true comic adaption but it will be fun anticipating to watch out whether he can turn the same like what he did for 'The Dark Knight'. Apart from the Joker Villian, there are other interesting villains known by Batman Enemies, will be entertaining to see if Nolan can play with those stuff.

290 Miles Travelled in 5 hours, the rest 10 miles took another 2 1/2 hours in Chicago downtown. Damn It.Take 4 right diversions and you are back to the same spot :(

The scene in Valli where Ajith picks up the phone and Jyothika answering it in the boat like Ajith's Friend in Ooty background, and when Ajith proposes and later where Simran tries the same with Ajith ( Yappa Explain panna mudila) is inspired from Before SunRise where in 2 people talk. thats it. that is what the film is allabout. Narration between 2 people. Anga anga konjam mokkaiya erunthalum the concept of the film and the narrative script was interesting. There is a sequel to the film - Before Sunset Started watching this the next night after "Before Sunrise" 2 movies combined together when given a thought about it was unique. Of all the films I have seen these 2 definitely stands aside. They are of a different genre. Might not recommend to somebody who occasionally watches movies for a time pass but for somebody who have no jobs but to watch movies, its a definite. But 2 films need to be watched together. Both the films have umpteen interesting quotes in the film. When searched on these films in wikipedia, several interesting facts came up. When I stepped in to 1004 Arbors Apts, I was glad to see an independent 3 big bedroom house, now when I leave this home, I have to clean Damn 3 big rooms, 2 rest rooms and a big kitchen and why is that every room has to be as much dirty as possible :( . When I asked the leasing office is there a way out of this, they said, " Of Course yes, 500$ " .

Swimming Pool plenty of girls always when I walk pass it to the gym where I am the Thani Katu Raja. Bloody Storm Warning and Power goes off for 7 hours. Day when I think lets escape from the heat to hit the pool and sight adichify, Bloody No one turns up :(

Why is that I feel like I want to work for long hours, Do I see them coming when I move to the corporate office next week.

You put on songs while you sleep, it is pleasant to hear them and you fall asleep very soon, after 3-4 hours the same set of songs starts irritates and you neither switch off them, and by the time you get up and switch them off when you can no more handle it, you lose all sleep.

I recently shaved my head off completely. Why asked everybody, well I did it on the spur of the moment.

Now thinking of which, it made me to think I have done lots of stuff which I have executed ( :P, executed is too much of a strong word to be used in this context, nevertheless ) on the go.

Recent one - Shaving my Head.

My e65 phone which cost be 18 Grand, I had no idea that such a phone ever existed, I went to the Nokia shop to buy a phone with my friends, saw that billed it. Came home, my father asked how much it is, I told 5000, My father knew it was a lie, I knew that my father found my lie, he knew I knew that too. He said Hmmmm.. I said Hmmm Hmmm , pulled the phone from him, artifically callled some one and said 'hello'.

Somewhere around the same time, I was planning to meet my friend at Spencers, Nike Showroom caught my glimpse. Ulla Ponen Kalla Shoevoda Vanthen...for around 2 years it was sitting idle in my home, for that, it would have been nice if it were displayed in the showrooom window itself.
In my home, it was covered with just Dust and dust. It cost me, the interest on the credit card cost me etc etc, After 2 years ,it gave a rebirth. Now the sole off the shoe is coming off, I am Glad, yeah Really Glad..

Well if i have to sort it down, I would go on with my materialistic spend thrift trifles.

There are quite a no of things which I have been thinking for years and still not yet taken a single step on those fronts. Its stays idle and I love to let it stay idle. I need to have some pending things always at the back of my head coz if only then I would love the movie I watch, like the game I play,love the time I waste. Having nothing and doing all these is just a waste of time. back of the head oru prachana eruntha than .... Pasi ooda sapta than sooroda aruma puriyum :P

So moving on...Counselling Day for College Selection. I chose the town, then the college :D , before that I was planning to stay in Chennai. Wanted to do Mechanic. Went to Coimbatore Studied IT.

Moving to State Board/CBSE after Xth, I got applications to a number of CBSE Schools, only 1 for a state board, I was almost under the impression that I am going to get into a CBSE, I left all and chose that state board school on the D-Day.

Enough being studious.

15 Years Back... It was the Game Ace that I first learned. Combinations of Spades,Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds fascinated me as a Child. The fascination still holds good far more than what I had when I was a child. Lots changed from 15 Years back to till date. But the inquisitiveness still remains the same, the thrill to gamble more, the rush to take risks, I believe hasn't changed a bit. Long time back I went to a planetarium to see the stars and the constellation. It was dark inside - the stars were glittering and I looked at them in great wonder.It was an unforgettable experience. Now I was reminded of the same night inside the planetarium here in this place and I was extremely happy to spent the time with my friends coz this has been in my radar for a long long time.

Beguiled by Larger than Life movies, I had always wanted to glimpse the Casinos with real eyes and hence the Vegas. I don't know when I came to know that there was a place - Las Vegas, but it doesn't matter any more. 4 hours of travel via a deserted place where it is plain sand during the day and sand + wind during the night.. Vegas comes after this, awe-inspiring view after a drive through a deserted place, sure they have planned Vegas to give its tourists a blow out of the watering experience.

Even Black Holes in Vegas are emblazoned. It was like a Laser Show among the stars. Long time back Scholars asked Men to be away from - "Madhu, Maadhu and Soodhu ". Well Vegas is all about Girls, Drinks and Gambling, the very combination that Scholars asked Men to be away from. One will find plenty of all the three in huge measures in Vegas.

In Ocean's Thirteen, Daniel Ocean ( George Clooney) while he is standing in front of the Fountains of Bellagio together with Rusty Ryan ( Brad Pitt) reminiscing about classic casinos past — the Dunes, the Flamingo, the Sands. That's how Ocean's 13 Begins. That's how even our night at the Vegas started after steadying ourselves with coats/suits [ we tried to emulate with the Ocean's Movie ;) ].I saw it on a Saturday Night, rest are details. But the irony is I didn't go inside the Bellagio Casino, I realized this only after I left the place. 1 night wasn't enough of Vegas, 2 should be good.

I was like a child lost in a Thiruvizha, no clue where to hit next, the place was crowded with people from all corners of the world. The Place was crowded next to the May Month Thiruvizha in Kapaleeshwar Temple but the God/Goddess in this stage are completely different.

Before entering into Vegas, we stopped by a board which Read Nevada Landing for a gas stop and there it displayed a board "Signs of Compulsive Gambling", Thank God, I am not close to Vegas nor I have any casinos besides my place. It took me some time to come out of Compulsive Trading, I don't want to get into another one of those Compulsive things.Caessars Palace / MGM / Bellagio / Tropicana / Mill Millers etc etc well these are just a few of the casinos that I caught our eyes instantly. Okay, After awe stricken we decided to gamble at last, First Question none of us had cash, Casinos doesn't accept cards, Thank God they don't accept cards. ATM Search, in the process, there was a roller coaster ride -/\--__->/\&-- ( LOL..that's hows the roller coaster route was like too ) back from the ride. Cash Withdrawn. MGM Casino - that's where we went...

the dealer does whine quietly if a person leaves the table with a winning hand and doesn't leave the dealer of the table with no tip,
these are the card games that every casinos had - Poker ( 4 Card, 3 Card, Texas Holdem, Paigan ), Black Jack and Poker Tournaments ( I don't think tourists where allowed to play them ) ( unfortunately the style of Poker which was played in the tournaments is what I know, not the one that is open to the public) So that was a huge disappointment for me, I had to play black jack

Besides these 2 card games and another 2 whose name I don't remember and they were in min numbers too, there is this wheel of fortune, craps, roulette. I think that's it, the rest of them are all computer based.
Apart from these there will be a large television sets ( Like the ones shown in Mudhalvan Movie ) where all sports games goes on and people bet on the outcome of the game.
The waitress there, damn it take long time to serve drinks :P
Well this is what is open to the public, the very high bets games which millionaires play happens somewhere inside.
The games present in all the casinos are the same, its the way they are arranged, the lighting effect, dress codes of the employees differentiate Casinos from each other.
All Casinos do have limousines not sure who they drive that for.
All the dealers are given a badge with their name and the place where they come from, not sure what significance it has.
Whenever a dealer moves of the table, he/she waves his hand to everybody around to intend that he/she has no cards in possession.
Last but not the least, there will be umpteen beautiful girls making you drool.

So what happened to every one of us at the casino. I bet that incident deserves a separate post, cant exemplify each moment in this post. But in a nut shell what happened with the money we had, was like a roller coaster ride. we took a seat and started playing Black Jack. profit/loss if plotted in a graph for every game does have the capability for a case study. End of the Night, I have no idea whether I took home some money or not. The Adrenaline Rush to see the money come and go is worth playing. Now I got to know where the Compulsive Gambling Instinct springs up. Never get into casinos with a thought to take home profit. See it as a ticket for a movie or a ride. Its worth it for the very first time. Its fun to lose money I repeat, only for the very first time. Forget it later on.

Three Rides for Life - One hell of a experience. After the rides,we decided to test our Black Jack skills and at around evening 6 PM,we said Adios to Vegas and headed back to Los Angeles. ( I am tired writing such a long post ) . Well thats for vegas, Lots happened in Los Angeles..Later on

Challenge to the mind, I have nothing more to say on this topic. More than energy/stamina, its becomes more of an exercise to the mind to keep going. After u end up running for 50% of your stamina, almost 90% of your mental stamina is done. To exhaust the rest of the physical stamina, its becomes difficult coz only 10% of mental strength is left over,when u r running especially on a Tread Mill. At least, running on roads/beaches, there is a some environment or some figures :P to see. On a thread mill, and that if you are stuck like a gym like what I am in, it becomes more difficult. So i thought if in future I am going to some thread mill, I will make sure I have an idiot box there so that I wont get bored.

But I have never tried watching some thing and running and so I am not sure whether that will keep me going as well. Lifela Ethuku ellam getting lazynu solrathuku vara vara vevasthaiye ellama pochu. Running or let me change to Jogging, was the best for me when I did in beach. Nothing like a earning morning visit to the beach. Next comes to Boat Club Road. Go in there at the right time. Prepare for a visual treat :D.

But there are some serious runners on the road too. People who start from other side of the town and reach there,some kind of commando training club is situated inside boat club where umpteen no of training takes place.

As of now I decided to download some video songs and load them into my mp3 player and then watch them while running, I hope it keeps me going.I pod in ears, songs reverberating and running fast is a good feel good factor. Sometimes it is too lazy to get up early morning and run, so in an effort to make this happen, I bought Nike Shoes for 4k so that the guilty feeling of buying that costly will open my eyes early morning to hit the road.However my shoes remained brand new even after 6 months after scratching my credit card. But it did prove useful after coming here to US, the sole came off.

I started writing this a week back, work :P and others things kept me busy from completing this blog, Now I have no more patience to continue this, ( there were loads of funny things which have happened in beach and in boat club, let me post them separately when I get mood to write on them) So posting it right away.

Ace and Jack, some stylish names I say, When was it that I started playing cards, it was long long ago so long ago that no body can tell how long ago.I always had a liking for games circulating with betting money on them. Trade Game, I have spent days playing this, all those summer vacation I get up play tat game , sleep and play again. The cycle continued. but now I dont remember a thing in that game.

Playing cards has always amused me no matter what. We have spent nights out at hostel playing the game Trump, the most interesting card game that I have played till date. The next in the line gotta be Poker. Poker/Bridge - these 2 long time I wanted to learn. At last I did learn Poker. As soon as I learned Poker, Black Jack followed behind it. Black Jack is supposed to be the most famous casino game ever to be gambled across world wide casinos. But I found that game real crap. Poker was much much better.

Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker.

I always had a liking for James Bond Films, I was so disappointed with Casino Royale, I thought what the heck is Bond doing playing cards ( and I didn't understood the poker game when I watched it for the first time on screen )@#@#@ , it was such a big bore.

After learning poker and playing it continuously for days here, suddenly it strike me that in Casino Royale they play Poker, the next day tat night we watched Casino Royale, wow it was interesting to watch the film this time, ennamo ellam purinja mathiri oru nenapu!!!

Long time back, I had put Rounders in my DVD rental queue since it had Edword Norton and Matt Damon, thought it must be some great action flick and queued it up. Later I got to know that the game was based on Poker, the next moment tat dvd was moved to top of my queue, it's a good movie based on cards, gambling and stuff. If you ever get hold of the Rounders DVD, make sure you watch the special features in the DVD.

No second thoughts, Evalo Panram Etha Pannatoma, I never questioned myself whether my parents will allow me to do this. I have always convinced them whatsoever. When I told them as usual Mom Got worried, Dad as always green signal. This I believe Happened in the year 2005, same time around When I started blogging too.

Promptly I went to see him and we both went to the so called room which was situated on a side of a small pond swarmed with mosquitos and frogs, where the nearby people washed their cars and clothes, always abuzz with some activity or other, a 1 Bed Room flat, it was so apt for us to enjoi rather than study :P". The place was somewhere deeper in Shollinganallur. The room was in the first floor and there was a family in the ground floor who was more than happy to give us breakfast and dinner. Lunch I thought I shall take in office.

The D-Day arrived, I asked one of my friend to bring his car to carry my belonging to the rented room. Our room owner . What a life he had, he was like those Charlie's character in Anniyan, he has build some houses which he gave them for rent, and everday he will sit in front of his house in a Kayuthu Katil, the owner's wife, the old pity lady very happily fries fish and gives it to him and nammaaalu jolly whisky adichitu eruparu. He gets rent, eats fish and drinks whisky and sleeps outside. With the world outside going very fast that people forget to eat and sleep, our fellow was living in his own world very happily.

As always, as everybody Day 1 we did study hard, and Day 2 early morning my friend woke up early morning and woke me too and we did study. Day 2 night, Yes of course. Day 3 is when things started to turn normal. We had a heavy dinner and we slept early citing the reason we shall get up early. Day 4 we were late to office.

2 Notable things to pen down during out 6 months stay outside home - Sudoku and Kadala Mittai.

There were a no of potti kadais on the way to our home and all those shops had this so called kadala Mittai. One day my friend bought these home. 6 months straight not a day we missed having that.

As a good aspirant for MBA, we dutifully subscribed to THE HINDU in a hope to read from top to bottom. But we took note of the sudoku which was at the bottom.For all what we know, that's the only thing which we did fruitfully. We used to bring print out of various sudoku's and try solving them. And it became a habit till day.

Things worsened as days went, our cook aunt started preparing delicious food for us, she told why don't you come and have dinner at our home so that I can serve you hot straight from the kitchen. Coz she saw that we are eating food very late after she delivers it to our door step and by the time we eat it becomes cold. That was an offer very tempting to accept and hard to resist. That day Nei Dosa to our plate, and eating at their place was no nice, TV, non stop chatting from tat aunty, her kid even more non stop chatting and hot,good tasty food. Namma Alluku Non Veg vera. Nei Dosa with non veg kuruma. Potu Thakunan avan. Ennaku thaniya sooda sooda sambar. Having started eating in her home, made us eat more while watching tv and having a casual chat at her home. after dinner we walk to out room with the kadalai mittai and straight we go to bed.

As days went, sometime we used to dine out at those restaurants at ECR late night and if time permits late night show at aaradhana/prathana theatre too and used to reach home very late, little did we had an idea that those roads are very dangerous. It's a highly crime prone area but we weren't attacked any day.

2005 October Time was the period when chennai was hit with one of the worst rains in the past 3 decades. The rain was too worse that even corporates along with school/colleges declared a 2 day holiday. It was a Thursday and a Friday and so combining with the 4 day weekend was one of the best times no office, great Chooda Sooda food, good music, okka mokka climate and with the cocanut trees nearby our window and a small pond some 500 feet away, I don't think I have to say what we did. ZZZZZzzzzzzz..... Despite this climate we still went ahead with knee length water to those potti kadai's for the Kadalai Mittai. not to forget those 4:30 PM Tea. Too pity I didn't have camera those days.

Tat time, we had a walk man and he bought an speaker set, and songs of Aa .. AAh , Gajini and Oru Kalloriyin Kathai shuffled repeatedly. Later he bought a MP3 player gifted by his brother, work, sudoku, dinner,songs and sleep. Days went.

The CAT D-Day came. BINGO, both of us flunked and the more surprising factor is both of us scored the same percentile.

Years went, the next year we again gave an attempt, this time from our respective houses and still we flunked. The very next year I skipped CAT and travelled on site, he went ahead with his kolai attempt again and made to S P Jain successfully.

Currently I write this blog from my office here at on site and he reads this from his classroom at S P Jain Mumbai. But things may and do change over a course of time, he will travel on site after his degree completion and write a similar blog at his on site location and I might read the same from one of those class rooms. :)

Amores Perros is the Film- 3 Different stories go thought a single common point. Like Ayudha Eluthu/Yuva, the difference in the later is the 3 stories are connected, they meet at a single point and then the story goes together. In Amores Perros it is 3 different stories going through a common point but the stories are not related. This is a Mexican film which translates again to 3 different meanings - "Sometimes you hunt the bear, sometimes the bear hunts you!" , "If your story turned out well, put it down to "amores." If bad, put it to "perros."" "love's a bitch" . But the films official English version went ahead with the translation " Love's a Bitch". One interesting thread in the movie is in all the 3 different stories, each have strong and emotional bonds with their various beloved dogs and how each dog changes their masters lives. Wikipedia quotes - In this sense, another interpretation of amores perros, "amor es perros" ii, can be understood as "love is dogs", a concept that anyone who ever knew a dog can instantly understand.
Personally I did like watching this film.

The very first thing that flashes when I hear tat word is You :P.

Goiyala is one word I use frequently to express a surprise on Happiness/ Joy. ( The others that I use is Okka Mokka )

Goiyala is a very nice word to stress upon and express. stress comes in between Goi and Yala... sometime when you dont want to use very abusive language, goiyala comes in handy, at those times no stress between goi and ya.. its just goiyala at one single go. It refers to a foolish person also.
Sources who have seen live do say that when I stress Goi and Yala, Ratchaganla vara mathiri Narambu Muruku Eri Varumnu. But Personally I don't have any experience like that.

Seri coming to the root. what is Goiya Pazham. namma Guava Fruit.
But pity of all the fruits available why does this fruit has to go through this plight. En Orangejala. applelala or en no pineapplelala..

Seri Let me see the nutritional Value of it.before tat I still remember the person who wanders our streets selling Guava Fruit , cut and spread with chilli powder. I must mention when my mom asks me to eat Guava which she buys from the market,I never liked it but his Guava always tasted awesome. That later I asked my mother to buy guava from him. But still to me Orange is the one I prefer eating.
