Plants are the most important part of our environment. They are called "Our Green Friends" because they provide us with everything we need to survive, from the air we breathe to the food we eat. 1. Identifying Different Types of Plants

Not all plants look the same. In our surroundings, we see a huge variety of flora. Based on their size and the way they grow, they are classified into five main groups:

Trees: These are big and tall plants with a hard, woody stem called a trunk. They live for many years. Examples include Mango, Neem, and Banyan trees.

Shrubs: These are medium-sized plants with thin, woody stems. They are bushier than trees. Examples include Rose and Hibiscus.

Herbs: Very small plants with soft, green stems. They usually live for only one or two seasons. Examples include Mint (Pudina), Tulsi, and Coriander.

Climbers: These plants have very weak stems and cannot stand straight. They need support like a stick or a wall to grow upwards. Examples include Money plants and Grapevines.

Creepers: Like climbers, they have weak stems, but they grow along the ground. They usually bear heavy fruits. Examples include Watermelon and Pumpkin.

2. What Do Plants Need to Grow?

Just like we need food and water to grow, plants also have basic needs. A plant can grow healthy only if it receives:

1. Sunlight: Plants make their own food using energy from the sun.

2. Water: Roots absorb water from the soil to keep the plant hydrated.

3. Air: Plants "breathe" through tiny holes in their leaves.

4. Soil: Good soil provides the necessary nutrients for the plant to stay strong.

3. Why are Plants Important to Us?

Plants are the ultimate givers. Without them, life on Earth would be impossible.

Food Source: Every fruit, vegetable, grain, and pulse we eat comes from plants. Even the oil we use for cooking comes from seeds like sunflower or groundnut.

Oxygen Factory: Plants take in the air we breathe out (carbon dioxide) and release fresh oxygen, which is essential for all living beings.

Shade and Shelter: Large trees provide shade to travelers and serve as homes for birds, squirrels, and many insects.

Medicines: Many plants have healing properties. For example, Tulsi is good for coughs, and Neem is used for skin protection.

Clothing and Shelter: We get cotton for our clothes and wood to build our houses and furniture from trees.

4. Taking Care of Our Green Friends

Since plants do so much for us, we must protect them. Here are a few ways we can be "Friends to Plants":

Watering: Regularly water the plants in your home or school garden.

Do Not Pluck: We should not pluck leaves or flowers unnecessarily.

Planting Trees: Every year, we should plant at least one sapling. In India, we celebrate Van Mahotsav to encourage people to plant more trees.

Say, No to Cutting: We should discourage the cutting of trees, as it leads to a hotter environment and less rainfall.

Debuji Jingraji Janorkar, commonly known as Sant Gadge Maharaj and Gadge Baba, was a social reformer kirtankar and saint who organized weekly festivals to promote social development in Maharashtra. He made a lot of improvements in rural India at that time and even today many political parties and social organizations are inspired by his work.

Sant Gadge Baba was born on February 23, 1876 at Shendgaon in Daryapur Taluka of Amravati District. Sant Gadge Maharaj's full name was Debuji Zhingraji Janorkar, his father's name was Zhingraji Ranoji Janorkar and mother's name was Sakhubai Zhingraji Janorkar. They got married in 1892. Debuji got married to Guntabai, daughter of Dhanaji Khandalkar of Kamalapur Taroda Taluka Daryapur District Amravati.

On the day of his daughter's birthday, instead of the usual alcohol and mutton meal, he served sweet food. This was a break with the tradition of that time. Whenever there was any problem in the village, whenever there was any work to be done, Gadge Maharaj would come forward by himself.

On February 1, 1905 at around 3 am at the age of 29, he renounced his household and accepted 'sannyas'. He made a pilgrimage. Visited many places. He was an itinerant social educator, traveling on foot with torn sandals on his feet and an earthen bowl on his head. And that was his identity. On entering the village, he would immediately start cleaning the drains and roads and when the work was done, he himself would congratulate the people for cleaning the village. The people of the village used to give him money but Baba used that money for the development of the society. Maharaj used to build schools, hospitals, animal shelters in every village with the money received from the people.

After cleaning the villages he used to organize 'kirtans' in the evening and through his ' kirtans ' he would convey the message of public utility and social welfare. In his 'kirtans' he used to enlighten the people against superstitious feelings. He used to use the couplets of Saint Kabir in his kirtan. Sant Gadge Baba was a true selfless Karma Yogi. He built many Dharamshalas, cowsheds, schools, hospitals, hostels in every corner of Maharashtra.

Gadge Maharaj started his work of public education through kirtana from the village Ranmochan (Vidarbha). He built a temple of 'Laxminarayana' at Ranmochan.
In 1908, a ghat was built on the Purna river. In 1925 he worked as a cow guard in Murtijapur and built a school.
Chokhamela Dharamshala was built in Pandharpur in 1917.
In 1921, the Maratha Dharamshala was opened at Pandharpur.
Sadavarta opened in Nashik in 1932.
In 1931, Gadge Baba's awakening in Varwande stopped animal killing.
In 1949, he handed over all the documents of 'Sant Chokhamela Dharamshale' established at Pandharpur to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
In 1952 he established 'Shri Gadge Baba Mission' and established educational institutions and Dharamshalas all over Maharashtra.
In 1954, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil established Sadguru Gadge Maharaj Vidyalaya at Karad under the Ryot Shikshan Sanstha.
In 1954, Gadge Baba built a hospice near the hospital to accommodate the relatives of the patients of J.J. Hospital in Mumbai.

Sant Gadge Baba's 'kirtan' at Pandharpur on 14 November 1956 was his last 'kirtan'. He died on 20 December 1956 at Walgaon (Amravati) on the banks of Pedhi river. There is a memorial to him at Gadgenagar Amravati.

• In France, you cannot make opinion reports of any kind regarding the elections 24 hours before voting day. However, earlier this ban in France was for 07 days. But later a court limited it to 24 hours.

• There are no restrictions regarding opinion polls in Britain. But the results of exit polls can'nt be given until the voting is completely over. Like there are rules in India.

• Opinion polls can be given in America at any time. But the results of exit polls can be told by the media only after the voting in the elections is completely over.

• In Germany, even before election voting, exit polls are considered a crime.

• In Bulgaria, it is legally considered illegal to provide exit poll results on election day. This cannot be done.

• Exit polls are completely banned in Singapore. It is a crime to influence elections there in any way. Apart from this, in Italy, Slovakia and Luxembourg any kind of opinion poll or exit poll is banned 07 days before the elections.

Arvind Kejriwal was born on 16 August 1968 in Kheda village of Siwani district of Haryana. Arvind passed the IIT-JEE examination in 1985 and graduated from IIT Kharagpur in Mechanical Engineering. After leaving college in 1989, Kejriwal worked in Tata Steel for about 3 years.

After this he resigned from the job in 1992 to prepare for the Civil Services Examination. In 1995, Kejriwal passed the UPSC exam. He was selected in Indian Revenue Service (IRS). After this he was appointed to the post of Assistant Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.

In the year 2000, Kejriwal requested for 2 years paid leave to pursue higher education. Kejriwal was given leave on the condition that he would not resign from the job for at least three years after joining the office again. If he does so, he will be paid the salary given during this period.

Two years later, in 2002, Arvind Kejriwal came to office, but he was not appointed for a year. However, during this period he continued to receive salary. Therefore, Kejriwal applied for 18 months leave without pay, which was granted to him. In 2006, Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of Joint Income Tax Commissioner in New Delhi.

However, the central government claimed that by not working for 3 years they had violated the agreement signed in 2000. In 2011, Arvind Kejriwal, with the help of his friends, paid Rs 9 lakh 27 thousand 787 as dues to the government.

In 2006, Arvind Kejriwal was honored with the Ramon Magsaysay Award for his campaign against corruption.

Formed India Against Corruption Group in 2011, went on hunger strike

In 2011, Arvind Kejriwal, along with social activist Anna Hazare, formed the India Against Corruption Group (IAC), demanding the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill. On August 16, Anna Hazare sat on a hunger strike at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi demanding the Jan Lokpal Bill. This movement continued till 28 August.

Aam Aadmi Party did not get majority in this election, but Congress supported it from outside instead of joining the government, due to which Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi. Then elections were held in the year 2015 and Aam Aadmi Party reached the assembly by winning a record 67 seats.

In the 2020 assembly elections also, Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party won 62 out of 70 seats. Kejriwal took oath as Chief Minister for the third time on 16 February 2020 at Ramlila Maidan.

Kejriwal married his batchmate Sunita in 1995. In the year 2016, Sunita Kejriwal had taken VRS from her service. She was an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer. Arvind Kejriwal has two children – son Pulkit and daughter Harshita. Kejriwal's daughter is also an IIT graduate and has been a football player. Meanwhile, Kejriwal's son Pulkit is in college.

But the Election Commission has rejected these objections and claimed that the machines cannot be tampered with. Each of the country's 16 lakh voting machines count 2,000 votes (the number of authorized voters at any polling station does not exceed 1,500).

According to ISRO, a Navigational Guidance and Control System in PoM is destined for attitude stabilization which was intended to control the configuration of any space vehicle. AGC will act as the brain for this platform so that stability can be achieved with desirable accuracy.

What is Poem

In Poem, it will get its energy from solar panels that will be mounted on the PS4 tank. It will also have a lithium-ion battery. PoM will use four sun sensors, a magnetometer, gyros, etc. for navigation. ISRO said that it has also taken with it a dedicated controlled thrusters which will use helium gaseous. It also has a Telecommand feature.

Have done this experiment before

Earlier in the year 2019, ISRO also demonstrated the capability of PS4 as an orbital platform. It had placed the Microsat R and Kalamsat V2 satellites in their orbit along with the PSLV C44 mission. In that mission too, the fourth stage was kept active as an orbital platform for space experiments.

But this time the matter is different. The fourth phase in that mission had lithium ions, but this time solar panels have been added. In this mission, more importance has been given to the stability of the orbital platform and this time it will also revolve around the Earth. This technology of ISRO will be helpful in reducing the increasing waste in space as well as in delivering satellites and other payloads in orbit with accuracy.

It was started on 14 September 1949 when the Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi as the official language or state language of India and in 1953 on the request of Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti, Wardha, 14 September every year as Hindi Day. began to be celebrated. Hindi is what unites India full of diversity in the thread of unity. In 1910 for first time the Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti was formed in Indore under the inspiration of Mahatama Gandhi . On March 29, 1918, presiding over the eighth session of the committee, Gandhiji had spoken for the first time to give Hindi the status of the national language of the country.

1. The Hindi we speak today is believed to have started from 1900 AD. It is derived from the degeneration of the Sanskrit language. Historians believe that the first composition in Hindi is Khuman Raso in 1000 AD. After which the Visaldev Raso and Prithviraj Raso were composed.

2. At the same time, Hindi language got its real identity after 1450 when Guru Nanak Dev, Raidas, Surdas and Kabir started writing poems in Hindi. During this time Kabir's Bani, Surdas's Sursagar and Ramcharit Manas composed by Goswami Tulsidas in 1633 AD became very famous.

3. Historians believe that the first prose in the Hindi we speak today was written by Bhartendu Harishchandra. He is considered the father of modern Hindi. 4. After this, Indumati written by Kishorilal Goswami in 1900 AD was the first AC composition which was completely written in Hindi Khari Boli. Which is still taught prominently in school colleges today.

5. Today Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world after Mandarin, English.

6. So far more than 900 words of Hindi language have found place in Oxford dictionary. Hindi words like Bapu, Achcha, Bachcha, Surya Namaskar, Bhelpuri, Chacha have been included in this dictionary.

7. Hindi is taught in more than 30 countries of the world, teaching centers are open for it in about 100 universities.

8. There is an island country named Fiji in the South Pacific Ocean region where Hindi has been given the status of an official language.

9. Apart from India and Fiji, Hindi language is spoken and understood in Mauritius, Philippines, Nepal, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad, Tibet and Pakistan with some changes but Hindi is spoken and understood.

10. In the history of Hindi language, the first literature was written by a French writer Grasim de Tassie. At the same time, the word Namaste is the most used word in Hindi.

11. Hindi language is spoken and understood by about 54 crore people worldwide. At the same time, it is believed that 70 percent of the people of the country write, read, speak and understand Hindi in some form or the other.

12. The first spoken Hindi film Alam Ara was screened on 14 March 1931. The director of this film was Ardeshir Irani.

13. Central Hindi Sansthan was established in 1963 by the Government of India for higher research in Hindi and today it has eight centers across the country.

14. In 1918, Mahatama Gandhij had asked to create Hindi the national language within the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. Hindi was also called the language of the people by Gandhiji.

15. Today is also the birthday of Rajendra Singh, who worked tirelessly towards making Hindi the official language of India. Due to which Hindi got this success.
