Maybe I will try some so I a blog about it.What is your favorite beer?

Hotel Love: Kimptons' "Rouge"

2016-12-31T15:48:00.001-05:00

Hey all
*yes a new year a new series *

Last post until next year lol Anyway I wanted to share my trip I just had. It was lovely. No I was not paid to tell about it, I am just a huge Kimpton hotel fan. I always bring my cat but since she was with her nana I let her be. She will come next time. I will write a review on yelp! when I am feeling better. But for now I will show my Iphone pictures here lol . Boutique hotels are fun because they are unorthodox. This one is nice and I give it a 4. The staff was a 5.

They had my hypoallergenic room I needed, cocktail hour was bliss and I saw animals and made me feel happy that I can bring my little fluffy girl. I think they rooms need to be a bit more updated but nothing horrible. I love the lounge/bar. I am a fan of the Rouge all around. I raided the bar and had a lovely robe ( all Kimptons have zebra and tiger robes another plus ) I have stayed in Kimptons 3 times this hotel price a night and I still have the same feeling. Good job. Contact me anytime Kimpton for a review we love your hotels!

Hey everyone,

I am trying to get as much as I can in before the new year lol I have so many pictures so I will be doing just that, sharing them and telling you my short story. Hey you will even have some places to come and visit.

Sparkling water

Sausage of the day

Bean and Chorizo Dip

So above I decided after work one Friday two weeks ago that I wanted to go out . I just have so much on my plate, and at times just a walk around Union Market and chat. We had fun , first we went and had a few appetizers here. Then we went somewhere else in the market ( that's next blog) Sometimes, you need that moment of unease to be released by doing something not planned. I think we both enjoyed our sausage of the day appetizer and bean with chorizo dip.
Do you ever go on unplanned dates ?

Meatless Day of the week Recipe: Pickled Daikon Radish

2016-11-05T12:03:00.001-04:00

Hey all

For a quick disclosure, the series of blog posts are for people who as myself , picks a day that they prefer not to have meat. It is not necessarily vegetarian or vegan, just something different.

At times its a side that can go with something meatless such as this featured recipe. I like it on whatever I can have it with. Pickled things are just great to eat alone for a snack. I took the basic steps from this lovely recipe, and added my own twist.

So this is the finished product above. I cut mine into bigger chunks due to the fact that I wanted to put it in soups and also eat as a snack for lunch.

As you can see I started off with a very clean Daikon radish.

Then in a pot I boiled rice vinegar, water, sugar and thai chilies with a pinch of salt. Until the sugar was dissolved. ( It said a cup of each)

I cut the radish up into chunks, again its whatever way you would like , and I added peppers to mine, some cut up and some whole. Then added the liquid along with the other chillies and closed it shut.

I let it sit for a few hours as I read below, then put it in the refrigerator. I was told that it can last up to a month or so. Mine is spicy and very tangy, I went over the cup of vinegar on purpose.

Check out the cooking blog I got my idea from .

Dreaming of Fridays ( Saturday Edition)

2016-11-05T11:47:00.002-04:00

Hey everyone

( Picture taken by my cousin (thanks!) )

Not only have I been super busy but also so many other things including sick! Its that time of the year and I stay sick! I am the one who takes all the airborne and Vitamin C and such and still ends up being sick. Anyway how has your week been? I have had an okay week. I have seen better days and they are looking brighter. I have found so many things around the web. Enjoy below!

This past week marked the first year of losing my Izzy but I found a sweet letter that made me just break down and cry. I am glad to have had the chance to raise an elder cat. I really think that she taught me so much about life in general. I never noticed it until now.

In brighter news, my fav writer/producer/rapper is 2016 Ebony Mag Power 100 Nominee. I have been following him way back since he wrote for 30 rock. Yep, he shows us that we all have to fight to find who we are.At times we realize that it is okay if we havent found it yet.

So if you are a New Yorker you know about bodega cats. Well, they are trying to delete them from bodegas and we cant have that. See what to do here. I feel like at times people come into a neighborhood and try to change it. Not intergrade. It hurts to see that happen when New York City always accepted not who you were but what you were.

Preview of what I am blogging about next. It is based on this recipe .

If I were to opening an Mini Consulting firm in Japan I would include this rule.

That's all for now, but don't forget to follow me on Pinterest,

We went on an outing.....

2016-10-16T15:23:00.000-04:00

Its rare that I have a chance to go out and just see the sites. But we did , and I was happy. They even said " I actually had fun" I have no idea how to take that , but I will question that later! Can you guess where we went?

Yes! MomoFukus' Milk

I decided to get the birthday cake shake.

They decided (since its their first time to get the soft serve with cereal and fudge)

We had a ball! I was glad to share a piece of New York with them that had landed in DC. Have you been? I want my future wedding cake from there. The Birthday Cake and crack pies. Yes it will be an one of a kind event! lol

Until next time!

Cocktail Queen : Open Bar

2016-10-06T17:17:00.001-04:00

Hey!!!!

Yes, I am like here to share a few drinks from my open bar adventure. I do have a few suggestions for the ones who are not used to having one of these in their grasp.

1. Drink strategically - Just because its all that you can drink does not mean you do not have to chose what to drink at what time, do not drink so heavy in the beginning.

2. Know your limit- Yes, we all have them, know it and be prepared to say no after your have reached it.

3. Tip the Bartender- Be courteous to them, you never know what drink they have up their sleeve that they will make just for you( as you will see below)

4. Do not be afraid to just drink wine or beer- If liquor is not your thing ,stay with your beers or wine.

5. Drink responsibly- Be safe and have a safe way home or to your destination. Do not over drink to the point that you dislike alcohol.

Now onto the drinks:

Scotch and ginger( I had two)

Gin n Tonic and coffee( bad mix do not judge)

My "mystery " made drink

Tequila Sunrise

Vodka and Orange Juice

Tequila , Vodka and Orange juice.

So as you can see, I had a field day , but this all ranged over six hours. which I had water and some pain killers in the beginning (water throughout) I came out just fine the next day and drove four hours home. So tell me , based on the color of the "mystery drink" what do you think is in it?

Happy 8th Blog-a-versary

2016-08-27T15:21:00.000-04:00

Hey everyone im so excited to do this or as my friend says "hihi" lovely indeed !!

This is my eighth year being a blogger in general and on Blogger! I have a wordpress ( blog) . I am also a year older! Its too ironic I know. I just want to say thanks for the ones who are here and have been ! I never set out for this to be important, it was a faster way to write thoughts down and stuff. I have been asked even recently why dont I make this a career. Well there are 3 reasons. Allow me to explain:

I am a lifestyle/random blog - I do not even try to stay on one subject, I am all over.
I am lazy- I admire the bloggers who do this for living. Hey I would love to have sponsored gifts, as much as I spend on things and tell everyone where to shop , I just never blog about it. ( shoutout to Gwynnie Bee I love their service)
I have a new Consulting Business and a Pt and Full time job. No I am fine lol

But you still stuck by with me and I am grateful ! I never do anything to have many followers, its just my thoughts that I allow to be shared publicly. I never share what I do not want. No regrets.....

Here's to another well forever years in the blogging word!

Not about that life

2016-08-19T21:09:00.000-04:00

I just relocated and excited to be in a new place. A lot is going on because as always there's good and bad that is out of your control.

I have learned time and time again that you have to learn how to tackle everyone and thing and just go with it.

Nothing will be as you want all the time. Work with what you have and what you want.

Yeah hope but one can have it but faith is needed to obtain hope. Something not seen but believed in.

As I draw close to the anniversary of all my blogs I am realizing how happy I am to have this as a hobby.

I am not about that life of annoying mishaps. Neither should you.

Eh mine are based on a phone call, email or whatever they will use to contact me. Time will tell you will see. Until then , this is what I found around the web.

When yelping, make sure you score correctly, three stars because of one con like not wanting to pay for internet is so misleading. I am doing my review now so stay tuned.

It has been a very hot and sticky week and The New York Times gave a perfect example on how hot you are waiting for the train.

This is what comes to mind when I think of Coney Island

Strike photos of Woman of Color

To satisfy my tech side router power!

Though it is not as sticky as it was all week, its still hot. Time to go out and get things done before it becomes unbearable.
