Reverse Lego with Resin

I've been playing with resin and I am quite excited as years ago when I made my Reverse Lego jewellery I had the idea to do this and well better late than never :) I am loving playing with resin. These will be made into pendants and necklaces. I have also made a few more polymer clay things which I will get a photo of to show soon.

I have been working with Stew Allen and our friend Hollie Marshall did some guitar bits for it. It's been fun and got a new song already in the works although the next song is my actual raw voice (which you can hear at the end of this one but it's much more scary so I'm not as confident about it so far but hopefully that will change soon once it's better) gonna trip hopify all the tunes/ poems and lyrics I've written over the years.

My Favourite Self Help Book... The Most Helpful of all...

The Four Agreements: Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (Toltec Wisdom) Don Miguel Ruiz

This is one of my favourite books, I think everyone who is going through a period of depression or feeling troubled should read it. It's a good guide on how to live life. I found this book by chance when I went to Tarifa in Spain for a few weeks on my own (maybe ten years ago now or more). It was a cool trip I felt like I had to get away to help myself feel better since I had a bad break up at the time. I came across this book and I also met a soulmate friend called Alexandra from Austria. She came to Tarfifa for the exact same reasons, it was bizarre. I mean the similarities were just huge.. we were in the exact same position in life with the exact same problems and mental state too. We even shared anxiety medication with each other - good times came from hard times :) Going to Tarifa was the best thing I did and I found this book which gave me a guide on what to do next. I have read it a few times because it is easy to forget. I have also shared this book with numerous friends who have found it helpful. I think I will have to read it again. I want my little girl to read it too as it's the best advice on how to be, act and live your life. Now there is a book called the 5 agreements I think I have to read it. People aren't perfect and everybody makes mistakes so it would be unrealistic for you to read this once and manage to do everything straight away, what is good about this book is that it isn't hard to follow though unlike some self help books that make you write out exercises and seem like hard work. This is just solid good advice. It does help. Below is a small run down and the book cover.

Groot Polymer Clay Model I made

Some new Spray Painting wot I dun...

Hi everyone I did a few pieces I forgot to blog about. One was a giant 45% for the people who voted "yes" in the Scottish referendum. Unfortunately it didn't get finished because it was about 4 in the morning and it started to rain. The other is just a quick one I did at Dundee skate park. None are very impressive it has to be said but they were quickies.

The Pickled people and the Pickled Sprites.

My fascination all started when I found the coolest little box frame in the charity shop with squashed faces made of tights. You can see it below. These were really popular in the 70's and 80's I was told when I posted it on facebook to show people. I wanted to keep the idea alive but do it in my own way with my own eyes and Strawberry Anarchy them up so they have to include mushrooms of course... Not everything I make must contain mushrooms but I think they look like squashed sprites so they had to be added to these. The one I found in the charity shop reminded me of the goblins from the Labyrinth which is one of my all time favourite films.

I love how this one looks all faded it really adds to the magical element but that's something that can really only happen with sun bleaching and time. Isn't it the cutest?

I am currently working on stocking up my shop again and will have some pickled sprites included, as well as my vials and some Lego jewellery.

Newest Street Art Piece by Strawberry Anarchy

I forgot to blog this latest piece of street art I did for my friends magazine. It didn't work out exactly how I wanted it to but It was great fun and I learned a lot. I find spraying so therapeutic. Maybe it's the fumes but it's a great way to express yourself. This was inspired by a spiritual awakening and finding my spiritual side again. The horns represent what I had to go through which was hell but it was worth it to feel alive again. This piece is for my friends zine . This particular one had a theme of "Heaven and Hell in a digital age" my contribution was a devil. Within the devil you see a mandala , there's some cryptic elements in it too but I wont say because that's part of the fun making people look at it and think - "wtf does this unrelated piece of weirdery mean?" wouldn't be street art otherwise - hopefully. anyway here it is....

I've not been able to do polymer clay because my wrists have been sore for months but I have done a few pieces on walls now. It's nice to finally do some instead of admiring others for the past 15 years or so... Hope you like them. It's my first attempts so just learning.

Strawberry Anarchy Tribute to Cloud Cuckoo Land from The Lego Movie

Yesterday was mother's day and I got spoiled, it was certainly a day to remember. I got a very long lie in and Hazel and Frazer made me a beautiful chocolate cake with strawberries on top for my breakfast (yummy),also Hazel made me the cutest mother's day in all the land, I will treasure it forever:) I will need to get photo's tomorrow as it's in the room they are sleeping in. We then went to see The Lego Movie. Which was AMAZING. Loved it so much I came home and had to get the Lego out and start playing. It has also been added to my top quirky film list. It is certainly in my top ten of all time. I have always loved Lego a lot and this film was brilliantly done. Just amazing and I would recommend it to everyone :)

Frame Cluster Interior Design, Lots of Small Frames

This is my friend Kim's House, she is an artist and I had to get photos of the lovely way she arranged these frames in her bathroom. There's so many lovely areas to her house though but it was dark and I could only take a few photos with my phone. Hopefully I can show you more when I go round again. Isn't it so pretty?

Handmade Sun Kitsch Kawaii Cute Covered Lampshades :)

Hi I've been neglecting my blog way too much so I thought I would share these lampshades I covered the blue one isn't finished yet though I am still waiting for the perfect trimming and not found one I love yet. This was a really fun project. I just love all the different fabrics together. The orange and red one was based on a sun type theme because she got these cute miniature planets to hang from her bedroom roof and some cool planet bed covers. the planets even glow in the dark.

Strawberry Anarchy is home to a lot of sprites that live in strange places for example in Candy Floss forest, the tall trees grow candy floss, inside the candy floss live sprites, I actually ate one by accident when I was eating some of the candy floss ( I felt so guilty) but as it popped in my mouth it tasted like the most purest strongest candy floss flavour burst you could ever imagine. I considered collecting them to sell as a gourmet delicacy here on Earth, but luckily my conscience got the better of me and I realised that would just be pure evil. So I caught this one to show you what they look like... It will come alive if you ever visit Strawberry Anarchy... so no candy floss sprites were harmed in the making of this...

I like to do these from time to time. I love a bit of charity shopping too you always get the best bargains in charity shops I've never understood people who think it's dirty or disgusting to buy second hand stuff. I believe it's called thrift shopping in the U.S.A. I have found some of my most cherished possessions and clothes from boot sales and charity shops, plus you are helping people at the same time it's win win. This is an auction for Diabetes UK. I met a woman who came into my old work and they are desperately looking for people to volunteer for them. Also my granddad had this, and some friends and family too. It's a horrible disease.
