Modernizing The Islamic Message

Albert Einstein said that the speed of light was the only absolute quantity in the universe. He received a Nobel and became the most celebrated physicist in modern time. His peers were working on a different theory, which dealt with the minutia of matter, whereas Einstein’s theory addressed the “majora” in the universe. Einstein was not convinced that his peers were correct, and doubted the results of their work.

Recent discoveries by the protégés of Einstein and Bohr, have cast light on both theories; General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics, and have shown that, while both works had valid laws governing physics and the universe, none could be farther away from the cosmic absolute.

In theology, much like in Physics, the three monotheist religions; Judaism, Christianity and Islam, hold the idea that only the divine is absolute with an iron fist.

Muslims take this notion further and define the omnipotence of an absolute creating power in terms that leave no doubt in the minds of theologians and seculars alike, that the supreme divine being, unlike the universe, had no beginning for he is the beginning, and has no end for he is the end.

Islamic tenet projects a vociferous message that the Supreme Divine Being is the only Truth in the universe, therefore, his immutable message to humanity; the Quran, is also a Truth since he, the Truth, is the author.

When asked by a non-Muslim about the bearer of the message; Muhammad; the prophet of God, a Muslim does not mince words in asserting God’s dictate that since the Quran is an absolute truth, the bearer was endowed with everything needed to deliver the message intact as authored by God.

The prophet of Islam said; “I was given the Quran and an equal of revelation along with it.” This is interpreted to mean he was given a tradition by revelation which complement and explain the divine text. This very notion, Muslims believe with absolute conviction, places the tradition of the prophet second only to the Quran in terms of truth, necessitating the extension of the umbrella of divine protection upon it to safeguard it from the fading effect of time and literary mutilation.

The Quran was reduced to writing during the lifetime of the prophet and was guarded dearer than life by those who had received it to the point that hundreds of thousands of the early Muslims committed it to memory; a tradition that was passed from generation to the next. The result was that after 1500 years, the Quran is held as the oldest and only surviving immutable document in human history.

The tradition of the prophet, on the other hand, was not collected and reduced to writing during his lifetime, but was held in the highest esteem by his companions, contemporaries and three generations that followed, each generation collecting and reducing it to a written form, while a number of scholars dedicated their lives to gathering, collecting, sorting and editing the duplicate documents over the period of an entire century.

A supreme effort that had spanned the duration of more than five generations, and which culminated in preserving the tradition in the encyclopedic form that we now have. We call it “The Hadith” or Oral Tradition.

Reading the various editions of the prophet’s encyclopedia of tradition, a modern observer notices the literary aroma of time. Language, archival system, classifications as well as literary presentation are all out of date, and are hindrances to scholastic research, not to mention difficult if not outright repelling to the casual lay reader. the stark truth absent from the minds of many is: since they are not absolute, they can be modernized.

Many scholars have called upon the major Islamic academic institutions to take initiative and attempt to modernize the archival system of the tradition and reinterpret its text in a language commensurate with both modern time and a far superior receiving intellect. Many if not all those calls have gone unheeded, sometimes outright ignored. This must never go on unaddressed.

Falling From Grace, the Lt. General

Very few observers are privy to insider’s information surrounding Lt. General Sammi Annan’s bid for, and withdrawal from Egypt’s farcical presidential race. In this brief narrative, which is derived from a very recent conversation I had with an extremely well informed retired high command source, and former ranking member of the Supreme Command Council of Egypt’s armed forces, I will try to connect the person and the events for a better understanding of the how, the where and the why!

Upon hearing Al Sisi speaking in an interview with the US media after his coup d’état, my first impression was utter astonishment. The man lacked intelligence, insight and the basic ability to communicate and articulate. It was starkly obvious that it would be a tragedy for Egypt if someone like him would take the mantle of power in the land of the Pharaohs.

This prompted me to seek further information since I had published in my blog a rosier picture of him which had contained solid information never known before. This time, I wanted to know the full story of Lt. General Sammi Annan; former chief of staff of Egypt’s armed forces; the man President Morsi had sacked along with his boss; Field Marshal Tantawi, so as later to announce his bid for the presidential race against Al Sisi, only to abruptly withdraw his bid without convincing explanations.

The most surprising piece of information that I had not expected to hear about Gen Annan was he was not a senior high command officer-candidate. He had not been elected for enrollment at Nassir Academy for High Command and Strategic Studies, an absolute must for any officer to continue his career beyond the rank of Brigadier General. Astonishingly, Sammi Annan’s officer-class seniority ranking number was a dismal 464 out of 1689…. So how did an officer with such appallingly dismal record hold the effective operational high command position in the world’s 16th largest armed forces? The answer is pure coincidence; being in the right place at the right time.

In November 1997, Lt. General Sammi Annan was an air defense Brigadier slated for retirement from military service at the end of his 4-year brigadier term. Having been precluded from promotion to the rank of Maj General, and having been side-stepped from enrollment in the General Command training at Nassir High Academy, he was approaching his career’s exit gate. But an incident of severe gravity to Egypt's national security took place on November 17^th of that year that had changed the course of history. An extremist misguided group attacked semi-naked foreign tourists in Luxor, Egypt, murdering 58 of them in utter criminal cold blooded vengeance directed at the Mubarak Regime. Unable to touch Mubarak, they vented their vengeance on peaceful, hapless visitors protected by the same Sharia law that they had been demanding to have instituted as the law of the land.

Luxor is an ancient antiquity town; which is a destination must see by visitors from around the globe. It is surrounded by mountains from 3 directions. The militant group had swooped down on the town from the mountains nearby. Having executed their criminal deed, they fled through the labyrinths and mountain passes that they knew so very well that local police authority were rendered incompetent and irrelevant.

Brigadier Sammi Annan was at his mountain-top air defense operational command headquarters when his communications unit picked up wireless walkie-talkie signal of unknown and rather strange sources. His monitoring unit listened in on the conversation, identifying the source interlocutors as a terrorist group who had just committed a dastardly cowardice deed.

Brigadier Annan sent an SOS signal to local police chief, who had no clue what the commotion was all about. The Brigadier, realizing the gravity of the dastardly act on national security, immediately contacted the office of chief of staff of president Mubarak advising the office communications director of the facts and telling him that the local police chief was a “’moron who had no clue about nothing.”” The brigadier, in possession of anti-aircraft missile and AA gun torrent systems only, and no suitable logistics for police operations sent a platoon with light self-defense weapons after the terrorists, who by then, had reached thick mountain cover and well-studied escape routes requiring air rotary wing to track and attack, which he did not have. Such weapon systems are impertinent to the nature of air defense operations.

Mubarak himself, seeing the world outrage against the terror act, flew immediately to Luxor. He gave the cold shoulder to the town’s mayor, the province governor and chief of police, and requested an account from Brigadier Annan. Immediately thereafter, 41 high ranking officials were sacked including the minister of internal security and 10 of his deputies, the governor, the mayor and chief of police. Brigadier Annan received presidential commendation, and an order of merit allowing him to enroll in the already 3-month underway high command class at the Nassir High War Academy and a promotion to Maj General.

This kind of presidential arbitrary shoot-from-the-hip decision did not sit well with other, more deserving ranking officers. After all, Annan did nothing of substance. All he did was contact office of the president’s chief of staff and sent a rifle platoon on a ghost chase but changed nothing on the ground, provided nothing to capturing the criminals and contributed nothing to national security. In other words, his act deserved an “attaboy”, but not a heroic recognition.

Once completed his High war College training, Annan was appointed Air-Defense Commandant (Commanding General of the Air Defense Corps.) Three years later, he was promoted to Lt. General and appointed Chief of Staff of Egypt’s armed forces, all without any operational experience, limited high command stunt, and no qualifications for competence other than Mrs. Mubarak appreciated his priority contact the day of the terror act.

Now we have all the facts to conclude that Lt. Gen Annan was never popular among all senior ranking officers, and for all the good reasons, so when president Morsi sacked him along with the “Old Goat” (Tantawi’s nickname), Nobody cried over his oust. Tantawi was regarded as a Mubarak aberration, (22 years as minister of defense), and was also not missed.

When Sammi Annan announced his bid for the presidential palace, not one member of the Supreme Military Council stood by him or supported him. In fact, he received an unprecedented, unanimous ridicule, and negative reactions reverberated in all his corridors. The only private calls for support came from Suzanne Mubarak, her sons and entourage. Now, he was forced into shameful seclusion and was reduced to an old fool with hermetical introversion.

Egypt's psychopathic general could not stand to see his old boss overcasting him in his bid for the office of president. Each one of the two men viewed himself as more deserving and more qualified. In truth, however, neither man's service record supports the respective claim. Both were mediocre officers with mediocre records. Both had no clue that they were unqualified as well as incompetent.

And that is Egypt's greatest tragedy!

It was a normal day when I woke up early in the morning and prepared to go to my college classes. I arrived on campus and found out there were student demonstrations already underway. I thought it was inevitable during the phase of political effervescence that Egypt was undergoing. After all, the coup d’état kept telling us they had come to rescue democracy in the land from the usurping hands of the MB traitors. They told us we were in a nation of freedom and liberties under their rule.

Only minutes had passed when all of a sudden the sky was raining pieces of steel emitting thick acrid and choking smoke. So acrid and caustic was the smoke that healthy mature young women fell limp on the ground upon breathing the ambient air around it. Two more minutes and black clad Tasmanian devils routed us from all directions and pounced on top of us. It felt like black vultures had swooped down on us from the skies.

I became so confused and dazed, and could not think clearly nor could I fathom the pandemonium around me. All I could hear were desperate and frantic cries coming from the girls fleeing the carnage a short distance away from me; “Run, run quickly, and get away from there!

Well, I didn’t run, and I had no idea what to run from and why. In fact in a strange sort of way, I wasn’t even fearful in my state of shock, until all of a sudden, I saw a massive arm surrounding my neck and felt it tightening the grip so hard that it turned my neck sideways allowing me to see him in a black mask with an official officer rank insignia of captain in an epaulet adorning his massive shoulders. And while his arm gripped my neck, he gave his hand permission to grope my breast in a filthy, vile and subhuman manner.

All that while his herd of troopers were whipping my back and sides with their switches and batons amid their vile verbal name calling; “Move you daughter of a whore, move so that we turn you into a submissive ewe … Are you crying you daughter of a c*&%t? You have not seen anything yet, you slutty daughter of a slut.

I panicked and was crying hysterically while fending the switches from inflaming my body and pushing their hands from invading and ravishing my dignity.

As for the expletive language, I hope you will not take offense by it; I only meant to allow you to live the bitter reality I had endured and enable you to appreciate how we had felt.

They shoved me into a filthy police truck, which soon became crowded with crying and screaming young women like me, some showed an unusual resistance to panic and were defiant despite the violent prying of our Hijabs, severe beatings and extreme physical abuse.

The police van moved and we arrived at the police station. They paraded us in the most humiliating, almost inhuman manner in front of the low ranking police troopers who were each busy searching for his favorite part of our bodies to grope in the most sadistic and subhuman display of animalistic pleasure at the expense of our human dignity.

Once we were all in the filthy crowded cesspool of a place they had for us, an officer came in and ordered us to squat down and rise only upon calling our individual name which he was reading from our ID cards that they had confiscated.

I barely heard my name, and as I had been physically and mentally debilitated, I was unable to spring up standing as they ordered us to do, but while I was trying, he rushed at me screaming in my face, “Are you playing the weakling game on me, you “c*&%t-f*&^ed whore? Weren’t you strong enough to get into the demonstration?

Suddenly I felt a massive hand striking the side of my face and neck that knocked me out of conscience, and did not come to for minutes, except to feel more hands striking my face and others groping every spot of my body. It appears that they had pulled me aside so that the troopers could enjoy their sadistic groping unimpeded by what was going on in other parts of the room while the other girls were suppressing their crying and moaning from pain so that they would not be subjected to the same treatment.

In a corner of the room, I heard the horrifying screams of one of the girls and looked to find out she had been tied up with ropes like a calf, the officer and every one of his herd of troops were severely beating her with unprecedented hatred, almost like lynching her. The herd of troops groping her and the officer telling her, this is for being a smart ass and answering me back you lowly whore, You will not get out of here until I f*&^k you and make you pregnant .. Seconds later, he dragged her on the floor out of the room and disappeared for one full hour. He returned dragging her back after an hour. She was silent and grim faced, but her eyes told us the whole story.

Towards the end of the day, they had finished all the reports filling them out with the usual bogus charges of terrorism, public menace, assaulting the authorities, illegal weapons, and the rest of the fabricated mendacity. They then dragged us literally by the arms and feet into the sell, which was another filthy cesspool unfit for pigs.

There we sat and slept on filthy, urine-spotted tile floor, without mattresses or blankets. There we had to endure the lack of safety and security. There we had to endure the pigs coming in and out whenever they wished to grope our bodies, and if we screamed, we were beaten to pulp.

This is my story, it is but one of thousand stories of young female students like me, and it is probably the least tragic and least criminal and least sadistic of the lot.

This is what Human Rights Organizations choose to ignore because there are more pressing cases that require their attention; like women forbidden from driving cars in some countries. There is the hypocrisy that they don’t want to acknowledge.

Shortly thereafter, Joseph summoned his entire family and tribe from which, he had been separated as a boy by the plot and conspiracy of his elder brothers. Hyksos

That was the single most crucial event which had shaped the future and history of the Hebrew Nomads. Moses escaped the massacre through a Divine protection scheme, and was brought up a prince in the royal court of Pharaoh Sety I.

Merinbetah III was the Pharaoh whom Moses had to confront, and ultimately the biblical Pharaoh that we mistakenly believe he was the Great Remises II.

Ashkenazim Jews were indeed one of the Hebrew tribes. They have ethnic origin in Ancient Babylonia; home of their great founding father; Prophet Abraham “Ibrahim” .. They are Caucasian of Semitic stock, having many of the Semitic features through much intermarriage within the Hebrew race. All Hebrew Jews were expelled from the Holly Land by the Roman Emperor Hadrian. The Ashkenazim Jews settled in West and Central Europe, in the common land area, now part of France, Poland and Germany.

In the jubilation that followed Jan25 Egyptian uprising against former despotic dictator Hosni Mubarak, Hillary Clinton, then US secretary of state, did not waste time when, in a hastily convened press conference, did not mince words by declaring that popular revolutions were healthy but in the case of a pivotal state like Egypt, we must be careful and we must guide this revolution and take it by the hands if necessary in order to protect US strategic interests.

When pressed further, Mrs. Clinton said that the US could not possibly allow the uprising to move hastily. The process must move slowly, very slowly, under our watching and guiding eyes and we will help the Egyptian people to achieve a lasting democracy, she said.

Mrs. Clinton was referring to a popular revolution that had all the sound bites of Anti Americanism. Mubarak was regarded as a US staunch ally and gate keeper to the security of Israel. The revolution sounded a different tune, and Mrs. Clinton was making sure everyone heard her message.

The Obama administration, guided by a powerful pro-Israel cadre of Zionist advisers permeating the entire US State Department and the White House, took quick steps to augment the US guiding role in the events ensuing in Egypt. Anne Patterson; An Ardent Zionist Diplomat was quickly summoned from her post of chief of US mission in Pakistan to replace US ambassador in Egypt Margaret Scobey to whom, Egypt was regarded as too big a shoe for her foot.

Anne Patterson immediately got down to business. She placed priorities over the roles and functions of all the NGOs which had been operating in Egypt under the supervision of various US State agencies. She also requested, and was granted a 1000% increase in their US funded budget.

While the CIA had an office in the US embassy compound in garden City, Cairo, operating under the auspices of diplomatic covers, Anne Patterson made full use of their experience while establishing extensive relationships with Egypt’s numerous political party heads, justices of the powerful Supreme Court, and media moguls, in addition to prominent libertine politicians and political science academics known for their total conformity with US views and values.

Neither the US State Department nor the CIA had to reinvent the wheel in dealing with the precarious political theater in post revolution Egypt. In fact both had extensive experiences in addressing popular revolutions aimed at dislodging US hegemony.

All the signs of the current political turmoil in Egypt indicate that the Zionist-guided US policy has been fruitful and has achieved most if not all its intended goals; slow, chaotic transition, toppling of an expected Muslim Brotherhood easy win at the ballot, and protracted political quagmire. Those were only the first steps. The return of the role of the powerful pro-Israel Junta was a pleasant bonus but not a surprise.

Egypt, as intended by her US based Zionist planners, is now in total social turmoil, economically at the edge of bankruptcy, and politically narrow-escaping a status of failed state. It is exactly where it has been planned for her, weak, confused and striving for bare survival with a hat in hand for US and Oil Arab largess.

So vulnerable Muslim Egypt is that every plan in the Zionist agenda for her, from moral decadence promoting homosexuality and open adultery to the disintegration of social values holding the fabric of society together, to profligate consumerism, are easily carried out with little to no resistance except from the marginalized and disenfranchised Muslim groups who, now, are by and large in prisons or fugitives of the powerful coup d’état regime.

Campaigns for fresh presidential election will soon be underway under the auspices of a cruel military dictatorship whose hands are stained with the blood of oppositions. But the climate is ambiguous and observers are deferring judgment until the chief of Junta makes a public declaration of his intention.

الإسلامى ودورها الفاعل فى البناء الحضارة الغربية ويحتفل به الغرب الصليبيى المضلل ليموت نكرة فى عالمنا المسلم الذى أفنى عمره ليحيي ذكراه التى كان قد اغتالها المضللون الصليبييون

رحل سير ستيفن فى الشهر نوفمبر فى شهر نوفمبر من عام 2000 وكانت آخر أعماله ثلاثاً منها واحداً من ثلاث من المجللدات العملاقة كل واحدة منها فى ثلاث آلاف من الصفحات وهو أكبر وأضخم إنتاج فكرى فى تاريخ الحروب الصليبية على الإطلاق. والإنتاج الثانى هو "العنكبوت والبومة والموءرخ" وقام فيه يفند كل أعمال التاريخ من اليهود بتزييف تاريخ الحضارة الإسلامى. والإنتاج الثالث هو " معبر إلى الشرق" ويصف فيه مجتمع الحضارة الإسلامية وروابطه فى بناء الحضارة الغربية من بعد سقوط دولة الأندلس العظيمة إلى القرن العشرين

ومن الغريب أن كان هذا العالم الفاهم المنصف من خلال حياته الأكاديمية لا يترك مناسبة عن الحضارة الإسلامية إلا وينبه العالم الإسلامى بأن ما يدور فيه هو تكرار لأسباب انهيار الدولة الأندلسية بحضارتها العظيمة والتى كانت هى المركز الحضارى الأعظم على القارة الأوروبية حين ما كان الغرب الصليبى منغمساً إلى الأذقان فى ظلام الجهل والبربرية , ثم بعد ذلك كَلّلوه بأكاليل التكريم والشرف أما من أنصفهم وأحيا ذكرى حضاراتهم فلم يعرفوه أو تجاهلوه

و فى إنتاجه العملاق تحت عنوان " تاريخ الحروب الصليبية " كتب سير ستيفن يقول إن موجات من الهمجية البربرية انطلقت من ربوع القارة الأوروبية جميعاً صوب الشرق تحت دعوى تحرير قدس الأقداس من براثن الكفرة سلالة اسماعيل وكانوا قد نسوا أن أولاءك هم من قد نبغوا فى العلم و كل العلوم الإنسانية والآداب فى عصورهم الذهبية

ويستطرد سير ستيفين ويكتب: ومن الغريب أن أحفاد أولاءك القباءل البربرية فى العصر الحديث بعد أن بنوا حضارتهم اقتراضاً من الحضارة الإسلامية وبناءً على ما اعطتهم من العلم والترجمات أن قد اختاروا ان يزيفوا كتابة التاريخ ليمحوا كل آثارها من تاريخهم ليضلوا ويضللوا.

والحقيقة غير المتنازع عليها هى أن للحضارة الإسلامية كل الفضل فى نقل العلوم والفنون والآداب إلي أوروبا وترجمة كل فلاسفة العالم القديم إلى كل لغات . الأوروبية حتى تَسَنَى للبشرية أن تصل القديم بالحديث وتتبع خطاه فى مسيرة تطور الإنسان فى عصرنا هذا وتناول سير ستيفن بالتفصيل أعمال علماء المسلمين وسرد سيرتهم وجميع مساهماتهم بتفصيل دقيق فى فصول كثيرة من موسوعته لوصف دورهم فى صناعة الحضارة الحديثة.

ولعل أكثر ما جذب انتباهى كانت ملاحظته فى العلوم الطبية حيث قال: لم يعد بمستطاع أي دارس منصف للتاريخ أن ينكر أن علماء الطب المسلمين ظللوا يعلمون الغرب فنون وعلوم الطب لفترة تزيد على الثمانمائة عام فى كل كتبهم ومجللداتهم وموساعاتهم الطبية قبل أن يأت الطبيب الفرنسى جون كلود بارنارد بإضافة الحديث إلى كتب الطب الإسلامية التى كانت ترجمت إلى كل لغات أوروبا وظللت المراجع الرئيسية فى جميع مدارس الطب حتى نهاية القرن الثامن عشر وبداية القرن التاسع عشر

استطرد يقول: ومن المثير للخجل أننا إذا عدنا إلى تلك المراجع الطبية القديمة المترجمة من لعربية نجد ان القاءمين على ترجمتها تعمدوا بلا أى درجة من درجات الخجل أن يحترفوا فن التزوير بإسقاط الأسماء العربية الإسلامية لمؤلفيها الأصليين كما لو أن تلك الكتب كانت قد كتبت أنفسها بأنفسها

ومن الطب إلى علوم الرياضيات إلى علوم الكيمياء وعلوم الطبيعة والفلك ترك عمالقة علماء المسلمين من أمثال الخوارزمى وابن حزم وابن سيناء والفارابى تراثاً علمياً هاءلاً يكاد لا يعلم به إلا القليل من أبناء الأمة الإسلامية

يقول سير ستيفن إن من أكبر فلاسفة العلوم الإنسانية فى الغرب من قام بسرقة أعمال أكبر فلاسفة المسلمين جهاراً نهاراً فى قضية عمى عنها حتى أكبر الدارسون العرب فى فرنسا من أمثال طه حسين الذى كانت رسالة الدكتوراه فى أبحاثه عن فيلسوف العرب ابن خلدون , والذى سرق واقتبس رينيه ديكارت ومكييفيللى أعماله وفلسفته التى كانت بمثابة طفرة فلسفية عملاقة قلبت حقائق علم الاجتماع وعلوم سياسة بناء الدولة الحديثة إلى كل اللغات الأوروبية الحديثة مءات السنين قبل مجيء ديكارت ومكييفيللى

ومن الغريب للمراقب لنهج المغتربين ( العرب المتقمصون لحضارة الغرب والاستعلاء على حضارتهم الشرقية ) أن يراهم يتعامون فى تكبر عن حقاىق التاريخ الصلدة ليمتطون جحشات أسيادهم الغربيين الهزيلة العائرة تاركين وراءهم صهوات خيولهم العربية لأصيلة وقد أغرتهم بهرجة وزخرف حضارة الغرب المادية الزائفة , فيما أنهم لو استعلوا واستعففوا لوجدوا فى حضارتهم أصل الحضارة النبيل , يبنون من حيث انتهى آباؤهم من أجل مستقبل مشرق لأممهم

ومن الشاذ أن نرى أن الحضارة الغربية ترفع رايات الهتاف الاستعلائى فوق أسماء غربية قالوا لنا عنهم فى سجلات تاريخهم المستنبط أنهم أصحاب الكشوفات العلمية المةهلة فى العصر الحديث. وإذا تناولنا إسماً من هاته الأسماء مثل رينيه ديكارت لوجدنا أنهم يقدموه لنا فى صورة بحر من بحار الرياضيات و جهبذ من جهابذة الكيمياء وأَرْيَباً من عباقرة الفلسفة والحكمة الاجتماعية. وقد سَلَم المستغربون العرب بتلك الادعاءات دون أن يرهقوا ..... أنفسهم بالبحث والتمحيص فى أصول وأمهات التراث الإسلامى العربى حتى يصلوا إلى أم الحقيقة

وأم الحقيقة هى أن رينيه ديكارت اقتبس اقتباساً مخجلاً دون أدنى معايير الديكورَمْ الأخلاقى كل أصول المعادلات الرياضية فى الجبر والهندسة التحليلية والهندسة الوصفية وحساب التفاضل والتكامل من ابن حزم وجابر ابن حيان والخوارزمى , ثم ذهب إلى مجللدات ابن سيناء وسرق منها اكتشافاته فى الكيمياء الطبيعية والعضوية دون أن يذكر اسمه أبداً , ناسباً كل ما وصفه فى العلم لنفسه. ولم يكتفِ بذلك بل تمللككه التبجحبسرقة نظريات الفلسفة الاجتماعية والعقاءدية ونطريات بناء المجتمعات السياسية فى الدولة الحديثة من عبد الرحمن ابن الطيب ابن خلدون

وكيف ولم لا وقد وجد عشيرته العلمية تسرق وتقتبس من الحضارة الشرقية دون أن يجدوا من ينهاهم بمنطق النبل الأخلاقى من صفهم , ولم يجدوا من يضبطهم ويفضحهم من شراذم المستغربين العرب أو من المستشرقين الغربيين الذين طأطؤوا رؤوسهم فى ذلة وخنوع لأن أسيادهم الغربيون أشاروا لهم بأن حضارتهم الإسلامية متخللفة وليس ينبغى لها ن يكون لها سبق علمى فى تاريخ البشرية

ولذلك نجد فى فى مجللده الضخم " العنكبوت والبومة والمؤرخ " يستهجن سير ستيفن بسخرية العالِم الفاهم ببواطن الأمور فى ثقافة مجتمعه الكاره لكل ما هو عربى أو إسلامى ويقول إن من دواعى السخرية أن يصر البعض على تسمية أعمال ديكارت بالأصولية (أصلية المنشأ من ذاته) والاحتفاء به كواحد من رواد الابتكار العلمى والفكر الفلسفى ومن أوائل المؤسسين للنظريات العلمية والفلسفية والرياضية , وهو الذى ولد فى

النصف الثانى من العقد الأخير من القرن السادس عشر ومات تحديداً فى منتصف القرن السابع عشر فى الوقت الذى كانت كل الأعمال المنسوبة إليه موجودة ومترجمة إلى كل اللغات الأوروبية ومتاحة لكل من أراد دراستها أو تكميلها من الدارسين والباحثين فى كل فروع المعرفة قبل مجيئه إلى الحياة بفترات تراوحت ما بين الماءة عام والخمسماءة عام وفق الحقب الزمانية التى عاش ومات فيها أصحابها العرب المسلمون الأولون.

ويتساءل سير ستيفن هل يمكن لعاقل أن لا يسائل رينيه ديكارت لو كان حياً بيننا الآن كيف ومن أين أتيت بكل هذا الكم الذاخر من الحصيلة العلمية بكل حروفها ونصوصها وتدرجها العلمى والمنطقى والفكرى وانتمائها الى أنشطة مؤتمر الإنسانية باختلافاتها الهائلة والتى أحذت أصحابها الأُوَلْ خمسماءة عام لاستنباطها دون أن يتسنى لك أن تمر بها وتدرسها لتذكر أصحابها الأوائل كما يجب على العالِم أن يفعل؟ ثم هل يمكن لمنصف من دارسى التاريخ أن يتعامى عن تلك الحقائق المذهلة ويسقط حق التاريخ فى إثبات الحقائق إلا إن كان من الموتورين؟

وإلى ما انتهى إليه سير ستيفن رانسيمان نستطرد نحن بالتعقيب بأن أي دارس للتاريخ الإنسانى ربما يصف ديكارت بأنه نقل أفكار وعلماء وفلاسفة المسلمين من ثقافتهم التى كتبوا فيها إلى ثقافة مختلفة بأسلوب ونهج مختلف , ولكن لا يوجد عاقل منصف يقر بمقولة أن ديكارت كان مبتكراً مستقلاً لم يدر بأعمال من سبقوه برغم ثوابت الحقيقة الصلدة من التطابق المطلق بين الأفكار والسرد والتحليل الوصفى والرياضى والعلمى والفلسفى مع اختلاف مهمل فى أسلوب العرض والتناول

ولذلك فإذا تناولنا اعمال ابن خلدون بالنقد والتحليل ثم انتقلنا إلى ديكارت , سوف نجد أن ابن غلدون كان قد أبحر بنا إلى أعماق محيطات الفلسفات الجريكية الروحية والمادية القديمة ونقدها وفندها بالمنطق العقلانى الحديث ليقدم إلينا فلسفة جديدة أكثر ملاءمة لعصره وتطور مجتمع الإنسانية حيث كان زمانه , رافضاً كثيراً مما سبقه ..إليه الفلاسفة اليونان ومجدداً ومنتهياً إلى ما نحن قد أجمعنا على قبوله أما ديكارت فقد بدأ بنا بما انتهى اليه ابن خلدون وانتهى بنا إلى ما انتهى إليه ابن خلدون أى بكل بساطة أبحر بنا ديكارت من ميناء ابن خلدون إلى بحار ابن خلدون ثم عاد ورسى بنا فى ميناء ابن لدون ثم قيل لنا إن تلك كانت رحلة جديدة! ..... ربما كانت الميناء جديدة لأنها تقع على أرض فرنسية أما الرحلة فهى قديمة والبحار هى كما هى لم تتغير وفى النهاية فالحق ما شهدت به الأعداء. والحق أن سير ستيفن رنسيمان ليس بعدو ولكنه أتى إلينا من صفوف أبدت للعالم الأسلامى العداوة والبغضاء وما أخفت قلوبهم أعظم

ولذلك فقد أظهر لنا سير ستيفن بجلاء أنْ إذا جاء الخبر من صفوف الأعداء إنصافاً لنا حتى لو كان حامل الخبر صديقٌ منهم فقد صدقنا القول وهناك القليل من أجيال نشأت فى مصر يفعل إن نبوغ العللامة ابن خلدون لا يعزى إلى أنه كان بحراً فى كل العلوم والمعرفة فحسب ولكن لأنه أول فلاسفة زمانه الذى دمج دراساته المتبحرة العملاقة ووضعالمشروع الأول من خلال هذا الدمج للتحليل التاريخى فى فروع العلم الذى قسمه وفصله إلى علوم إنسانية تاريخية اجتماعية سياسية اقتصادية وشرعية ربط بها وبنظائرها الرياضية والطبيعية والكيميائية أنماط نمو مجتمعات الإنسانية , وهو الذى ولد فى تونس وتعلم فيها وعمل بالقضاء الشرعى وحورب من قبل قبائل الجهل والأحقاد حتى اضطر إلى النزوح لمصر , وهناك بزغ نور العلم فى الوادى الخصيب وفى مصر عمل قاضياً للقضاة وأكمل دراساته فى كل فروع العلم والمعرفة وابتكر النظرية التحليلية الفلسفية لسلوك الإنسان وفكره كاسراً بذلك النظرة الساكنة لفلاسفة اليونان القدماء باستقدامه لفكر فلسفى حديث سماه بالعقلانية ( Rationalism)وكانت تلك النظرة الفلسفية الحديثة هى نواة العمل الفلسفى لكل مفكرى الغرب بدأً من عصور النور إلى عصرنا الحديث وبذلك فهو أول مفكر يخرج عن سياق التواتر الذى كان متبعاً منذ فلاسفة اليونان سوكراطيس وأفلاطون وأريسطوطل ويبتكر المنهاج التحليلى لكل فروع العلم والمعرفة ويربطها بتاريخ قيام وسقوط مجتمعات البشر

وفى منتهى الحديث عن ابن خلدون , هناك قول مأثور تفوه به جون فيتزجيرالد كينيدى رائيس الولايات المتحدة بين العامين 1961 و 1963 الذى كان قد قال " لا تسأل عما يمكن أن تفعله من أجلك بلادك ولكن اسأل عما يمكن أن تفعله أنت من أجل بلادك" ... ولا تكل ولا تمل إذاعات بنى صهيون من ترويج تلك العبارة ناسبين عبقرية المعنى

وفى قراءة سريعة لتاريخ مصر الحديث (النصف الثانى من القرن العشرين) شد انتباهى ظاهرة الفساد الإدارى قبل انقلاب ناصر العسكرى على آخر ملوك عرش مصر (فاروق الأول لأن أحمد فؤاد الثانى لم يجلس على العرش بل كان طفلاً فى المهد وبعد خلع فاروق نصب ملكاً قاصراًعلى عرش الوصاية.)

كانت تركة العرش فساد إدارى رآه ناصر ثقيلاً ولو قدر له العلم بفساد فرعون مصر لخاسئ ربما ما قام بانقلابه على عرش فاروق. واستعان الكولونيل ناصر ذى الكفاءة الإدارية المحدودة برجال كانوا على أرفع درجات العلم بمبادئ تنظيم وإدارة الدولة العصرية بعضهم كانوا ممن استعان بهم كونراد إيديناور والذين أعادوا بناء ألمانيا فى

سرعة مذهلة بعد انهيارها فى الحرب والبعض الآخر كانوا من أبناء مصر الذين بنوا صروحها الاقتصادية.

وكان الفساد عاماً فى أساسات هيكل الدولة المصرية وفى كل فروعها كما رآها الكولونيل الثائر ولم يعرف كيف يقضى عليه. وكان مستشاروه من ألمانيا الاتحادية على بينة بأن أي محاولة للقضاء الفورى تعنى هدم صروح الهيكل التنظيمى العام لإدارات الدولة فأشاروا إليه بإنشاء جهازين رقابيين فقط تكون كل كوادرهما من المخلصين من أولى الكفاءات فى كل ميادين المعرفة من خارج الهيكل التنظيمى العام ومنحهم سلطات بوليسية ونيابية قضائية وتجهيزهم بكل سبل التكنولوجيا المتاحة لرصد منابع ومعاقل الفساد وضبطها ومحاكماتها. وعليه أنشئ الجهاز المركزى للمحاسبات وهو يعادل

A New Political Dawn is Breaking in Egypt

The Muslim Brotherhood, Arguably, are the most highly organized political party in the land. Denying them or underestimating their power will be futile. Granted, they have never been tested in either government or as a legitimate political party since their inception as an ideological political movement. But their organizational skill, even by world standard, has been nonpareil

To an outsider, they are seen as the principle movers and shakers and the pillars of the political infrastructure in Egypt. Denying them their right of inclusion strictly on the basis of rejecting their ideology would be both frivolous political doodling and untenable wishful thinking. It would be practical and highly advisable to accept them for what they are; a formidable political powerhouse deserving the right to contribute to Egypt's future even if you disagree with everything they stand for.

Their detractors are few, incredibly ineffective and politically inept. Lacking real grass roots, they are incapable of competing with them on any level. The Muslim Brotherhood have grass roots projecting deeply in the hearts and minds of the largest segment of society where their opponents operate on the bare margins of existence. They embody a dream for which ordinary Egyptians have long yearned over four tumultuous political eras belonging to 5 successive clamoring generations.

If they succeed in accomplishing what they promised, so be it; their rivals might just have to get used to eating political crow. If they fail, they will be, like their political contemporary regimes, subject to the law of natural attrition. In the end, they do exist, they are active, they are powerful and they have well-oiled socio-political machinery.

They appear to have vetted a powerful cadre of able and visionary technocrats to administer their ambitious platform; aptly named "Rising Egypt". They have demonstrated by the preponderance of the evidence that they have full intention of engaging their political machination to its fullest potential.

The way I see Egypt's political theater now, observing from afar, Brotherhood opponents like it or not, there is no circumventing working with them, and more often than not, in either subservient roles or deferring matters to their nods of approval. They have won with a sweeping mandate which gives them absolute parliamentary commanding power. The question of abusing this power does not arise, at least in theory, since they are extremely sensitive to the temperature of the political street. They have a pretty accurate thermometer. It is called, ""The huddled Masses."

Their platform is simple yet, upon hearing it, potent. Social, industrial and educational renascence, and reconstruction of Egypt's cultural, military and economic power to bring it back to its traditional role as the leading power in the Arab world and Africa as well as one of the three formidable regional powers on equal footing with Iran and Turkey and logically surpassing them when standing with the Arab world behind it.

In terms of organization and mass appeal, compared to the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's rival political powers are second rate . For mass popular support, they are not even on competing level. But if they come to terms with accepting the new reality; a reality with the Brotherhood role has been determined and made dominant by the power of the ballot, they stand a better chance of remaining afloat on the political surface. This way, political diversity will have a true meaning, democracy will stand the test of time and Brotherhood detractors ranging from liberals and socialists to right wingers and feminists will flourish rather than wither and desiccate in the wake of the political hot, dry gale force wind of change of the Brotherhood.

Egypt’s first democratic election is slated for 05/23/2012, and preparations are underway. The process appears to be progressing smoothly without major anomalies. When considering a scenario of a possible outcome, an observer finds it difficult to pin point an absolutely clear winner in the first round. It appears that run-offs will be inevitable.

There are two candidates running on platforms with an Islamic background on one level or another and one with a leftist progressive and national platform in addition to two “Folools”, which means remnants of the ousted Mubarak’s regime.

1) Muhammad Mursi, a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California, USA. He served in the capacity of Asst. Professor in the school of engineering at California State University, Northridge. In 1985 he returned to Egypt and was awarded tenure as professor of engineering at the University of Zaqaziq. He had been politically active during the Mubarak’s regime and had won a parliamentary seat in an election that scared the regime so much so that they had to defraud him of his seat. Selected for the world's best parliamentarian award for the years 2000-2005. He is the official candidate of the Muslim Brotherhood.

2) Abdul Moneim Abul Fotouh, a Physician turned politician with extensive experience in managing international charitable and professional NPO, which is a highly involved political career on both the national and international levels. He had long been active member of the Muslim Brotherhood in good standing and a prominent figure in its executive committee before he was forced to resign upon deciding to run for president against the Brotherhood’s declared policy at the time of post-revolutionary political effervescence.

3) Hamidean Sabahi, a left of the center candidate with a Nasserist Pan-Arab national platform. He does not have an Islamic agenda but accepts Egypt’s identity as an Islamic nation with a vociferous voice for full equal rights based on citizenship alone. He acknowledges the excesses of the Nasser Dictatorship but highly praises Nasser's ideology and ambitious national dream, thus vowing to revive the dream learning from its lessons and avoiding the negative aspects of its experience.

4) Ammro Moosa; Former Foreign Minister of the Ousted Regime and Secretary General of the Arab League under Mubarak’s Dictatorial Hegemony. (Folool.)

5) Retired Air Marshal Ahmad Shafiq; former commander of the air force. Served in the rank of wing commander when Mubarak was Air Chief-Marshal. Upon his retirement from the air force, Mubarak created a cabinet post specifically for him in which, he served as Minister of Civil Aviation. During the revolution, Mubarak appointed him prime minister; a short-lived career that was terminated by the revolution and the ignominious fall of the Mubarak’s regime. (he is a Folool.)

The Birthers and the Citizeners …. A Letter From Aunt Gladys

In 2008 US Presidential Election ushered in the 56th President of the United States. The Election, carried out every 4 years, was completed on 4 November with the new president officially sworn in on 22 January of 2009

Democrat Barack Obama, then the junior United States Senator from Illinois, defeated Republican John McCain, the senior U.S. Senator from Arizona. Obama received a sweeping mandate by winning 365 electoral votes vs. 173 for his Republican opponent John McCain. This mandate would have been sufficient to give Obama unprecedented powers should he have been the candidate with the necessary skill and experience to use it. He was not.

Barack Obama ran on a simple platform promising sweeping change in the machinery of government and gave his popular constituency a hope that he was neither able to, nor did he actually have any intention of carrying out. It was a great disappointment in the man and his agenda.

This election packed so many firsts that it stands out in US political history as the most significant since WW II. It was the first U.S. presidential election, in which a non-white received the nomination of one of the two major parties as well as the first election in which a non-white was elected President,

During the early stages of Obama’s campaign, the negative noises, normal in US elections in general, were focused on his color, his liberal agenda and his inexperience. His opponents in the racist South, dismissing him as one with little to no chance of going anywhere in his bid for the top boss job, were only rattled by the precedence he had set for Non-Whites to run for the great office of president of the United States.

But once Obama's real sweeping popularity became obvious and his chance of winning the election loomed larger than what his detractors thought it comfortable to contend with, Conspiracy theories began to be weaved and emerge. Accusations ranging from his religion, his origin, and oddly enough, his membership in terrorist organizations flew left and right propelled by the nutter machinery of over the top radio talk shows.

But perhaps the most outrageous and most egregious attack designed to discredit Barack Obama and render his bid for office illegal and his winning unlawful was the question of his US birth. A conspiracy theory of sort concocted by his most implacable enemies purported that he was not born in the United States, a constitutional condition that must be met for anyone to run for the office of president and occupy the White House.

Confident of his position and aware of the hidden hatred, Mr. Obama elected to remain aloof and dismissed his attackers as unworthy of the dignity of response. However, the attacks escalated and the Obama advisers had enough of the nonsense and showed his official birth record in the state of Hawaii ending the vicious rumor.

This is where the resemblance is to a case that has taken Egypt by storm. Mr. Hazzem Abu Ismail, an accomplished lawyer and a conservative from the group known as the Salafi Muslims, does not mince words when he speaks of America as the reigning Lucifer over the dominion of the Earth. His strong position towards taking Egypt out of the subservient role to the United States and building it to full independence economically, politically and militarily has ruffled the feathers of the Neocons and the Zionists who rule the US.

History has repeated itself. At the behest of the Obama administration a story was concocted claiming that Mr. Abu Ismail is not lawfully entitled to run in the presidential race in Egypt. Why? His mother, the Egyptian authorities allege, was a naturalized United States Citizen. This, according to Egyptian law, precludes Mr. Ismail from running in the race.

Mr. Ismail demanded proof of this allegation and countered by saying that his deceased mother had been holder of a permanent residency status in the US but had not been actually naturalized. When pressed, the Egyptian Government produced a nonsensical letter it claimed came from the United States Department of State claiming that the lady in question was naturalized in 2006 but presented no material evidence admissible at law, nor presented any credible facts other than a perfunctory purport that the US does not tell a Lie! Ridiculous and retarded as this may sound, it is actually all the evidence that the Egyptian government presented to support its case against Mr. Abu Ismail.

Judging by the similarity of the cases between both Mr. Obama’s detractors, who came to be known in the US as the Birthers, and Mr. Ismail’s detractors, whom I am dubbing the “Citizeners”, it appears that this seemingly fraudulent and unsubstantiated allegation was cooked in the political kitchen of the US Department of State.

A letter from the State Department without supporting documentation in the form of official photocopies of original records with photos signatures dates and official seal of the United States is not proof of anything, much less admissible as evidence in a court of law since it seems that this is where the case will be heading in Egypt.

It really amounts to nothing more than a sworn statement from your Aunt Gladys stating that she had seen you applying for citizenship and receiving your naturalization certificate.

And while Aunt Gladys may be telling the truth, she could also be biased, corrupt, senile or legally blind, and while a court of law would treat her kindly and take her testimony only perfunctorily under advisement it would dismiss it as inadmissible or at best insufficient evidence presented as hearsay.

US naturalized citizens pass through a myriad of procedures and Tape-Recorded Video Interviews, and their files undergo exhausting processes each of which leaves a heavy paperwork trail of archived material and authenticating documents. And once Naturalization is completed and Citizenship is granted, an ornate certificate of naturalization is presented in a highly publicized ceremony with funfair, while also Photographs are taken for official as well as ceremonial proof. All this is ready and available to any senior State Department official authorized to respond to a request for evidence submitted domestically or by a foreign entity provided that it meets the standard set of laws controlling freedom of information as well as privacy of information.

The Egyptian Ministry of the Exterior's claim that it had received Citizenship information regarding Mr. Abu Ismail's mother's status of naturalization is a lie for the simple reason that No authorization had been obtained from the deceased person or her immediate family to release this information in accordance with United States Information Privacy Law, and the US government, while has vested interest in discrediting Mr. Abu Ismail and ending his bid for Egypt's presidential election, would not risk violating Federal law and the subsequent scandal associated with that in addition to risking criminal litigation in US Courts..

Regardless of whether the allegation has any merit, surely someone in the US negative rumors machinery must have known that if they made the allegation they would have to produce the supporting evidence, and that the supporting evidence should be more than a letter signed by Aunt Gladys swearing that she was a friend of Mr. Abu Ismail’s mother and she had seen her with her own very eyes applying for US citizenship.

Shame on you Mr. Obama, and Shame on you Hillary Clinton. I expected something a little more professional out of both of you. Next time, perhaps may I suggest a letter from Uncle Pete swearing that Aunt Gladys is not a crook!

Bird Wild Life in Egypt is Surprisingly, Well … Wild and Diverse. But because interest in birds in Egypt is strictly constrained by taste pallets and the rather mundane iconic images of a delicious-looking roasted variety found on dinner tables, not many Egyptians know much about the wild side of Birds Life!

For example, let us examine the case of a rare type of vultures about which, there is a proverb least rare and ubiquitously common in Arabic folkloric literature. There is a saying in Egypt’s folklore which goes like so: “Kites Don’t Just Drop Young Chicks in Flight!” … In the US, it is equivalent to, "There is No Such Thing as a Free Lunch."

A meaningful parody to this hilariously satirical folkloric reflection would be to think of a rare case in an otherwise very common species, the species of International Diplomats. ..... Dr. Muhammad Al Baradei is that rare case. Known only to his US Zionist friends by the irreverent nickname; MoMo, His predicament brought about a huge windfall profit for him and placed it squarely into his hands as an advance payment for his dirty deed against his own country.

Another example of wild bird life in Egypt has to do with the unconventional Painted Snipe, which is an Egyptian Native Marsh-Land Bird, where the husband takes care of the nesting while his one-time mate goes off in search of new lovers.

This reminds me of an Egyptian female Motion Picture Director named Inas Al Deghadey. The woman, even by Western Standard, is a dingy reprobate. An old crone openly floozy and extremely profligate.

وبقراءة متقنة لتلك الكلمات نستخلص أن الملكة الهانم كانت تتملكها عقدة النرجسية بقدر ما كانت تتملكها عقدة الإلاهة وسيطة الخلود ومانحة الهداية لرعيتها الضالة بدون حكمتها , وأيضاً يبدو أنها كانت تتملكها بعض نوبات الإكتئاب بين الحين والآخر, ربما لأن زوجها الفرعون العظيم رمسيس كان مشغولاً بالحروب وبناء صروح شامخة ومحاريب وتماثيل تخلد تاريخه وقد برع فى ذلك إلى حدود مذهلة

وأي قارئ لتاريخ مصر القديم لا يجد صعوبة فى التعرف على تلك الظاهرة التى خصص فيها الشعب المصرى الذى بنى حضارة مذهلة بكل المعايير فى خمسة آلاف من السنين عددا, عبد فيهم الإلاه الفرعون ثم شهدت دولتهم العظيمة سقوطاً مهيناً مع آخر فرعون من دماء مصرية خالصة وهو يهرب جنوباً إلى إثيوبيا أمام جحافل قمبيز الأول إمبراطور الدولة الفارسية ليحتل الفرس مصر قرابة الثلاثمائة وخمسين عاماً من الزمن حتى جاء ألكساندر العظيم الملك الإجريجى من ماسيدونيا ويطرد الأفارس ويبنى أعظم مدينة فى

التاريخ القديم لا تضاهيها واحدة أخرى, والتى تحمل إسمه حتى لحظتنا هذه وتتضائل أمامها روما فى كل حقبها التاريخية القديمة , ويترك البلاد لكبير قادته توليمى الأول الذي أعاد مجد الدولة المصرية , وبخاصة فى عهد حفيدته كليوباترا السابعة التى كانت واحدة من سبع ملكات يحملن نفس الإسم كانت هى آخرهن وأكثرهن حسناً وأكثرهن جدلاً وتأثيراً فى تلك الحقبة الهامة من تاريخ مصر

و أثناء زيارتى الأخيرة لمصر كان من أهم معالم الحضارة التى وضعت زيارتها فى أولويات اهتمامى زيارة دار المخطوطات الإسلامية, والتى أعيد تسميتها دار الكتب. وقد كتبت مقالتين عن دار الكتب إحداهما فى اللغة العربية هنا لأنها صنفت فى اليونسكو واحدة من أعظم معالم الحضارة الإنسانية قاطبة

.فى دار الكتب وقع نظرى على إصدار حديث عن دار نشر يبدو أنها من دور التراث الثقافى العربى بالغ السيط تسمى دار الهلال , وكان ذلك الإصدار مجلد وثائقى عن حكام مصر على مر العصور بالصور والتاريخ, وأبحاث كاملة عن كل حاكم وتاريخه وإنجازاته وعن كيفية تعامل شعب مصر معهم وبخاصة هؤلاء الذين استثاروا مشاعر شعب وادى النيل الوديع, وبالرغم من أن ما قرأته تطلب إلماماً تاماً ليس فى اللغة العربية فحسب ولكن فى دقائق الفولكلور لمصرى كاملاً فإن من حسن حظى أننى لم أكن بدون عون ومساعدة من كل من كانوا حولى توضيح معانى المفردات العامية التى لم أجدها فى معاجم اللغة العربية المنتشرة على النترنت

ولقد كنت سمعت كثيراً ولمست بنفسى حقيقة أن الشعب المصرى يتمتع بدرجة عالية من الذكاء الفطرى وأول مشاهد تلك الظاهرة هى انتشار روح الفكاهة فيه أو ما يعرف فى كل الأوساط العربية ب خفة الدم المصرى, والذى قرأته كان من نوادر تلك الظاهرة فيما يتعلق بكيفية تعامل الشعب الذكى الوديع مع بعض هؤلاء الحكام

ومن أطرف ما قرأت فى ذلك الإصدار هو أن المصريين كانوا " زهقانين" من الحكام الأجانب ولذلك فقد عرف تاريخ مصر كثيراً من الثورات والانتفاضات عندما كان الشعب قادراً على ذلك , وفى الأزمنة التى لم يستطيعوا فيها القيام بثورات حاربوهم بالكلام حتى أن المؤرخ المصرى إبن إلياس كتب يقول فى مخطوطه الكبير " بدائع الزهور فى وقائع الدهور": " إن حملت الأنفس ما لا تطيق أطلقت الألسن ما لا يليق" ... ويصف ابن الياس تلك الحرب الكلامية التى كان يشنها المصريون ضد طغيان حكامهم الأجانب بتلك الوصاف

وإننى أستطيع أن أتصور أننى أفهم معانى الكثير مما كتب ابن إلياس عن لسان شعب مصر , فأستطيع أن أفهم المقابحة والمشاتمة والسباب والدعاء والصريخ والتشهير , بل أستطيع أن أتصور أننى عرفت ما هى الزنجرة والبرطمة والولولة والردح بعد أسألة مختصرة , ... وحتى اللعلعة باتت واضحة بعد استفسار سريع

Around mid-December 2010, a meeting was organized by the Geneva Initiative and brought together Israeli and Palestinian legislators with Israeli peace activists in Ramallah, Occupied Palestine. She said she could not disguise her anger at her colleagues from Tunis. She explained in the interview that the Palestinian representatives at the Oslo talks were living in exile and not sufficiently aware of what living under occupation and the theft of lands really meant.

She told BBC’s Julian Walsh that from the beginning, when they met with James Baker, they asked him to stop all settlements. He said the only way to stop them would be to start negotiations. Suzette Antoinette stood accused of selling priceless contents of the House of Books "دار الكتب" to some unscrupulous shadowy characters from Arabia more than a decade ago; a scandal that had led to the revival of Sir Steven's restoration project.

Now, The House of Books "دار الكتب" has been partially, but not professionally, restored. Yet, despite its United Nation's status as a preeminent cultural center, and when the libraries of the greatest Universities of the world offer glimpse of its literary treasures in the form of catalogs and references, it is almost unknown to most Egyptians.

Much like The House of Books "دار الكتب", Sir Steven was ignored by the culture that he had championed. He spent ten years journeying between Cairo, London, Oxford and Cambridge exerting supreme scholastic effort and influence, and wrote his monumental "A History of the Crusades." ...A gigantic three volume work of 1800 page each, narrating the barbaric history of the European crusading campaigns in the East under the guise of liberating the Holy Land from the "savage muslims." ...

This work stands now as the greatest narrative of the barbaric crusading campaigns ever written by a scholar of western thought. It is a testament to how the ugly face of barbarism could be unveiled by an honest scholar and historian once given the opportunity.

Sir Steven established the "Salah Eddean" Chair in the department of history at Cambridge University which, became the most prestigious academic chair in the department of the humanities of all British Universities, and occupied only by the greatest of academicians who must receive at least 70% of the commendations and vote of confidence from their peers to become candidates for the post.
