Lightwave Photoshop Text Effect

1. Create a new 800x400 RGB file with black background and use white text.

2. Use a font of your choice and type in your desired text - we will use lightwave in this example. Make sure the color is white and centered on the page.

3. Make sure it fills about 65%-75% of the screen.

4. We will now warp the text. Select the text tool and on your text tool menu select the warp icon.

5. Set the style to Arc with Blend to 0, Horizontal Distortion to 0, and Vertical Distortion to 12.

6. Create a duplicate of your text layer and rasterize it.

6. Select your text layer and go to Filter > Stylize > Wind and use these settings

7. Do this twice.

8. Now go to Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 degree CW, and apply the Wind Filter again (or hit CTRL F). Rotate and repeat until the text is again in its normal position. It will now look like this:

9. Duplicate the frosted layer you just made (not the text) and go to Image > Blur > Radial Blur with a Zoom level of 100 and Quality at Best.

10. Now select your text layer and duplicate it. Then go to Image > Blur > Radial Blur with a Zoom level of 100 and Quality at Best.

11. Go to your initial text layer, resize it about to 80% of its original size and drop the opacity to 60%. Your image should look something like this.

12. Take the text layer and add a Pillow Emboss on it with these settings.

13. Add some color if you wish. You can do this by locking the transparency and filing in the layered elements. I used yellow in this sample. and you are done.

Sepia Photoshop Images Effect

1. Open an image that you would like to manipulate. Make sure your image is in RGB mode. To check this, go to Image under the menu bar - Mode - RGB Color.
Make a duplicate of this layer as you will be working on this layer going forward.

3. Images - Adjustments - Channel Mixer and use the following illustrated values.

Cartoon Drawing Photoshop Images Effect

2. Now we will be applying the Poster Edges filter. To do this, go to Filter > Artistic > Poster Edges.

3. After the Poster Edges effect, we will Adjust the Brightness & Contrast with the values: Brightness Value: 10 Contrast: 30

4. Now we will do an artistic cut out effect to give it that cartoon look. Go to Filter > Artistic > Cut Out. And this is what you get!

PHOTOSHOP CS TUTORIALS FOR BEGINERS

Photo Enhancement / Photo Manipulation / Beautify Effect / Make up Art Tutorial

1. Open an image that you would like to 'picture enhance'. Make sure it is something very plain, perhaps a girl with no make up. That just makes the project all the more fun :)

2. We will start by adding some saturation to this picture, as you can see it is really washed out and pale. Lets give the girl some color. Go to Images > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation.
I will be bumping up the saturation about 35%. See what looks good for your image

3. Lets work on her lips, give her some color, to help highlight her beauty. Using the Pen tool trace around the shape of her lips. And then load the path as your selection.

4. After you have loaded the path, and it is selected press "Command J" so it cuts your selection into a new layer. You can change the layername to lips.

5. Now lets add some color. Adjust the hue/saturation for the lips layer, I will be using 30%. Basicly this is bumping up the natural color of her lips.

6. While the lips layer is still selected, go to Images > Adjust > Color Balance. I will be using these values below.

7. We are coming along now, lets add some depth to her eyes. Using the Lasso tool, go around her eyes, and again "command J" to a new layer and label it "Eyes".

8. Using the burn tool with a small brush size of 10 and exposure of 40, highlight under and over the eyes to add definition. If you feel you might have made the eyes too dark, just drop the opacity of the "eyes" layer down. I dropped mine down to 30%

9. Now lets add some rosie cheeks. Use the color picker, grab a tone from the lips and adjust it so its not too strong. I am using color #db6a6e. Select the brush tool and make sure you are using a large brush. Mine is set to 90 with 30% Opacity. Create a fresh new layer and highlight the cheek area with your brush. You won't need much. Since you are on a new layer, you can use the eraser tool to remove parts you do not like. After you are happy with your artwork, adjust brightness contrast to add depth.

You are done!
