બાળકીઓને દત્તક લઇ વાલી બનીને શાળામાં ભણાવી

૮મી માર્ચે વિશ્વ મહિલા દિવસ ઉજવાઇ ગયો. ઠેરઠેર સંમેલનો યોજાયાં, ભાષણો થયાં ને મહિલા વિકાસની, મહિલા શિક્ષણની વાતો થઇ છતાં દર વર્ષની માફક મહિલા હોય કે મહિલાની દીકરી
કોઇની સ્થિતિમાં ખાસ કોઇ સુધારો
નથી થયો ત્યારે આણંદના ગામડી
વિસ્તારની પ્રાથમિક શાળામાં
શિક્ષિકા તરીકે ફરજ બજાવતી એક
મહિલા કન્યા કેળવણીના અભિગમને સાચા અર્થમાં સાકાર કરી રહી છે કારણ કે એમણે આદિવાસી અને ભરવાડ કોમની આઠ બાળકીઓને દત્તક લઇ પોતાના ઘેર ભણાવી બાદમાં શાળામાં એડમિશન અપાવ્યું અને સાથેસાથે શિષ્યવૃત્તિ પણ
અપાવી છે. આ માટે પ્રારંભે પોતાના ૧ લાખ રૃપિયાથી શરૃઆત કરી હતી, ત્યારબાદ ધીમેધીમે એમની સેવાની
સુવાસ ચોતરફ ફેલાતા એમનાં નાણાં અને દાનની મદદથી એમની પાસે આજે ૪૮ લાખનું શિષ્યવૃત્તિ ફંડ એકઠું થયું છે જેના
વ્યાજમાંથી તેઓ કન્યાઓને જ નહીં કુમારોને પણ શિષ્યવૃત્તિ આપીને ભણાવે છે.

ઈલાબેન ઈમાનુએલ નામના આ
શિક્ષિકાના સેવા યજ્ઞાને પ્રારંભમાં
રૃા. પાંચ લાખ સહાય મળી, ત્યારબાદ સિનિયર સિટીઝન મંડળે ૧ લાખ આપ્યા જેથી કુલ ૭ લાખનું ફંડ ભેગું થતા એમનો
ઉત્સાહ વધતો ગયો ને ધીમે ધીમે ફંડ વધીને ૪૮ લાખ સુધી પહોંચી ગયું.

આ રકમથી પ્રથમ તબક્કે ૫૪ જેટલા ધો. ૧થી ૧૦ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓને રૃા. એક હજાર
સહાય આપી ને પછી ૪૮ લાખના
વ્યાજમાંથી વધુ ને વધુ ગરીબ
વિદ્યાર્થીઓને સહાય આપવાના હેતુથી ધો. ૧ થી ૫ના ૨૦૦ બાળકોને રૃા. ૧૫૦૦ તથા ધો. ૬ થી ૮ના વિદ્યાર્થીઓને રૃા.
૨૫૦૦ની શિષ્યવૃત્તિ આપવાનું શરૃ કર્યું.

ગરીબ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પૂરતી સહાય
અપાઇ રહી છે છતાં તેઓ દર વર્ષે
શિષ્યવૃત્તિ ફંડમાં પોતાના રૃા. ૧ લાખ ઉમેરતા જાય છે. શિક્ષિકા તરીકે નિવૃત્ત થયા બાદ તેઓ ત્યજી દેવાયેલાં બાળકો તથા વૃધ્ધો માટે આશ્રમ પણ શરૃ કરવા માગે છે ને નિવૃત્તિ સમયે પોતાની પાસે જે કંઇ પૂંજી હશે તે આ કામમાં લગાડી દેશે એવું તેઓ કહે છે. તેઓ પોતે એકલા નથી. પતિ અને સંતાનો છે છતાં પોતાનું સર્વસ્વ અન્યને અર્પણ કરવાની તેમની ભાવના દાદ માગી લે તેવી છે. ઈલાબેનને આ
સેવાકીય પ્રવૃત્તિ માટે ૨૦૦૬માં અખિલ ભારતીય સન્માન પુરસ્કાર મળ્યો હતો તો ટીચિંગ લર્નિંગ મટીરિયલ ઉપર કામ કરી જ્ઞાાન સાથે ગમ્મત આપતા પ્રોગ્રામ બનાવી બાળકોને અભ્યાસમાં રૃચિ લેતા કરવા બદલ એમના પ્રોજેક્ટને ૨૦૦૫માં રતન ટાટા ઈનોવેટિવ પુરસ્કાર પણ અર્પણ કરાયો હતો.

નવી નાયબ મામલતદાર ની ભરતી માટે ની કેટલીક માહિતી પરીક્ષાની રૂપરેખા તથા અભ્યાસક્રમ : આ પરીક્ષા ક્રમાનુસાર બે તબક્કામાં યોજવામાં આવશે : (1) Screening Test (પ્રાથમિક કસોટી) નું હેતુલક્ષી પ્રકારનું સામાન્ય જ્ઞાનનું પ્રશ્નપત્ર ૧૦૦ગુણ અને ૧ કલાકના સમય માટે રહેશે. સામાન્ય જ્ઞાનના પ્રશ્નપત્ર અભ્યાસક્રમ આ પ્રમાણે રહેશે: (૧) સામન્ય વિજ્ઞાન (૨) ભારતનું બંધારણ (૩) તાજેતરના મહત્વના રાષ્ટ્રીય મુદ્દાઓ/બનાવો (૪) ગુજરાતની ભૌગોલિક બાબતો તથા કુદરતી સંપતિ (૫)ગુજરાતની ખેતી અને ઉધોગ (૬) ગુજરાતનો સાંસ્કૃતિક વારસો - સાહિત્ય, કલા, ધર્મ (૭) સામાન્ય બૌધ્ધિક કસોટી (૮) ખેલ જગત (૯) ગુજરાતની રાજનીતિ અને અર્થવ્યવસ્થા(૧૦) પંચાયતી રાજ (૧૧) મહાગુજરાત આંદોલન-ગુજરાત રાજ્યની સ્થાપના અને ત્યારબાદની મહત્વની ઘટનાઓ તથા (૧૨) વિવિધ ક્ષેત્રે દેશમાં મહિલાઓનો ફાળો (૧૩)મહત્વના આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મુદ્દાઓ/બનાવો. (૨) લેખિત મુખ્ય પરીક્ષાના અભ્યાસક્રમમાં કુલ-3 પેપર રહેશે: (૧)પેપર-૧, ગુજરાતી (સ્નાતક કક્ષા), ૧૦૦ ગુણ (૨) પેપર-૨ અંગ્રેજી (ઇન્ટરમીડીયેટ કક્ષા), ૧૦૦ ગુણ (૩)પેપર-૩, સામાન્ય અભ્યાસ (સ્નાતક કક્ષા), ૧૦૦ ગુણ હશે. પેપર-૧ તથા પેપર-૩ના પ્રશ્નપત્રોનું સ્તર સ્નાતક કક્ષાનું તથા પેપર-૨ ના પ્રશ્નપત્રનું સ્તર ઇન્ટરમીડીયેટ કક્ષાનું રહેશે.પ્રત્યેક પેપર દીઠ સમય 3 કલાકનો રહેશે. Screening Test (પ્રાથમિક કસોટી) માં આયોગ દ્વારા નક્કી કરવામાં આવે તે કેટેગરીવાઈઝ લાયકી ધોરણ જેટલા ગુણ ધરવતા તથા જાહેરાતની જોગવાઈ મુજબ શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત, વાય વગેરે સંતોષતા હશે તેવા, જાહેરાતમાં દર્શાવેલ જગ્યાના કેટેગરીવાઈઝ આશરે ત્રણ ગણ ઉમેદવારોને જ લેખિત મુખ્ય પરીક્ષામાં પ્રવેશ આપવામાં આવશે. (૩) Screening Test (પ્રાથમિક કસોટી) માં ઉમેદવારને O.M.R, Sheetમાં જવાબ આપવા માટે A,B,C,D અને E એમ પાંચ વિકલ્પ આપવામાં આવશે. પાંચમો વિકલ્પ આપવામાં આવશે. પાંચમો વિકલ્પ E 'Not attended' તરીકેનો રહેશે. ૩. (૧) ઉમેદવાર જે પ્રશ્નના જવાબ માટે જો પાંચમો વિકલ્પ E 'Not attended' એનકોડ કરેલ હશે તો તે પ્રશ્નના "શૂન્ય" ગુણ ગણાશે અને તે પ્રશ્ન માટે કોઈ નેગેટીવ ગુણ કાપવામાં આવશે નહીં. ૩(૨) તમામ વિકલ્પો (A,B,C,D, અને E) ખાલી રાખ્યા હોય અથવા પ્રશ્નનો ખોટો જવાબ આપ્યો હોય તો તે પ્રશ્ન માટે નિશ્ચિત ગુણ એક હોય તો ૦.૩ ગુણ કુલ મેળવેલ ગુણમાંથી બાદ કરવામાં આવશે. (૪) Screening Test (પ્રાથમિક કસોટી) માં મેળવેલ ગુણ આખરી પસંદગી માટે ધ્યાને લેવામાં આવશે નહીં. આખરી પરિણામ માત્ર મુખ્ય લેખિત પરીક્ષાના આધારે નિયત કરવામાં આવશે. ઉમેદવાર નાયબ સેક્શન અધિકારી કે નાયબ મામલતદાર કે આ બંને જગ્યા માટે ઉમેદવારી કરવા ઈચ્છતા હોય તો પણ તેમણે એક જ અરજી કરવાની રહેશે અને એક જ વખત પરીક્ષા ફી ચુકવવાની રહેશે. Raksha Bandhan in History

The traditional Hindu festival 'Raksha Bandhan' (knot of protection) was came into origin about 6000 years back when Aryans created first civilization - The Indus Valley Civilization. With many languages and cultures, the traditional method to Rakhi festival celebration differs from place to place across India. Following are some historical evidences of Raksha Bandhan celebration from the Indian history.

Rani Karnawati and Emperor Humayun

The story of Rani Karnavati and Emperor Humayun is the most significant evidence in the history. During the medieval era, Rajputs were fighting Muslim invasions. Rakhi at that time meant a spiritual binding and protection of sisters was foremost. When Rani Karnawati the widowed queen of the king of Chittor realised that she could in no way defend the invasion of the Sultan of Gujarat, Bahadur Shah, she sent a rakhi to Emperor Humayun. The Emperor touched by the gesture started off with his troops without wasting any time.

Alexander The Great and King Puru

The oldest reference to the festival of rakhi goes back to 300 B.C. at the time when Alexander invaded India. It is said that the great conqueror, King Alexander of Macedonia was shaken by the fury of the Indian king Puru in his first attempt. Upset by this, Alexander's wife, who had heard of the Rakhi festival, approached King Puru. King Puru accepted her as his sister and when the opportunity came during the war, he refrained from Alexander.

Lord Krishna and Draupathi

In order to protect the good people, Lord Krishna killed the evil King Shishupal. Krishna was hurt during the war and left with bleeding finger. Seeing this, Draupathi had torn a strip of cloth from her sari and tied around his wrist to stop the bleeding. Goddess Lakshmi revealed who she is and why she is there. The king was touched by Her and Lord Vishnu's good will and affection towards him and his family, Bali requested Lord Vishnu to accompany her to vaikuntam. Due to this festival is also called Baleva as Bali Raja's devotion to the Lord vishnu. It is said that since that day it has become a tradition to invite sisters on sravan pournima to tie sacred thread of Rakhi or Raksha bandan.

Rakhi Purnima

The festival is also known as Rakhi Purnima as it falls on the full moon day of the Hindu month 'Shravana'. The month of Shravana is the month of gods and pujans (worships) and the full moon day being the most important day of all. Rakhi Purnima is important in more than one way. Since, the festival is celebrated in many states, it is known with many names and rituals but the only thing that does not change is the prayer and pledge for the protection of siblings.

Different regions have different beliefs pertaining to Raksha Bandhan and follow different rituals. In the Western Ghats, rakhi is considered to be an offering to Lord Varuna - the Lord of the sea. Lord Varuna is offered Coconuts. On this day, coconuts are thrown into the sea as a ritual. Here, the festival of Rakhi is known as Nariyal Purnima, and it is also marks the beginning of the fishing season.

Avani Avittam in South India
In South India, Raksha Bandhan is called Avani Avittam. The festival is important for Brahmins. They first take a holy bath and then change their holy thread (Janeyu) amid chanting the mantras. They take a pledge to perform the brahmanik duties as prescribed in the holy books and adopt a good conduct and dignity. The Janeyu is a representation of the vow for adherence to vedic culture, observance of Hindu traditions and service to humanity. The ceremony is called Shravani or Rishi Tarpan. All Brahmans celebrate it in the same way.

Kajari Purnima in North India
Kajari Purnima is the name by which the festival of Rakhi is known in North India. The festival is celebrated when wheat and barley are sown in this region. Goddess Bhagwati is worshipped and farmers seek her blessings for a good crop. The name Baleva signifies the might of King Bali and his devotion to lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi.

In Gujarat people offer water to the Shivalinga every Monday of the month. On Rakhi Purnima they offer water and pray to God for forgiveness. In one ceremony known as Pavitropana, a few twisted filaments of cotton are soaked in panchagaivya (mixture of cow's ghee, milk, curd, urine and excreta) and then fastened around a shivalinga.

In Scriptures, Raksha Bandhan is described as 'Punya Pradayak' which means a day that bestows boons to the generous 'Vish Tarak' the destroyer of venom or the vicious 'Pap Nashak' the destroyer of sins.

The preparation for the festival starts well before the day, markets are filled up with sweets and different types of rakhi. On this auspicious day the sister ties a rakhi on the hand of brother as a mark of love and honour, the brother in return offers a gift to his sister and promise to look after her. The brother and sister traditionally feed each other sweets. The brother and sister have to treat each other well on this day. This festival mainly celebrated in north and east regions but now it is celebrated all over India.
On the day of festival all members wake up early in the morning then the sweets and rakhi threads are arranged. Sister prepares thali for the puja . the thali consist of rice grains incense sticks, kumkum and an earthen or metal lamp called diya. The first offerings of the day are made to the deities of the family, then arti ceremony, a pious Hindu festival, is performed. After completion of aarti the sister puts chawal(rice) and tilak on the forehead of the brother and then ties rakhi on his hand sacred mantras are chanted all around as the brother and sister are united by one of the heavenly pledges. However some of the traditions have changed many sisters keep the tying of rakhi very simple, no mantras are chanted after the tying of the rakhi all become busy again.
