Life has been so busy I kind of dropped the ball on blogging. It was the holidays, then we got sick in the New Year with colds and baby Cora is just now sleeping better at night, so I am finallllly back! (Life with three kids is more crazy than I thought!) Here are newborn Cora pictures at 9 days old. She is such a miracle, like all our babies. She is so deeply loved, and the girls adore her! Newborn pictures are so priceless, they literally change so much, in a few weeks.

Lisa Maksoudian is amazing, truly a gifted in child photographer. She has captured some of the best smiles from one of our most un-photogenic child. The girls love her. Today was school picture day and Emma asked if Lisa was taking the pictures. "No, not today." I said.
"That's too bad, I miss not seeing her!"

I have been a bad blogger.. this week my oldest started Kindergarten, my middle daughter turned 2 and I have a brand new baby.. aaaaahhh! Here are few pictures from the whirlwind of the last two weeks!

There is a million baby products out there, but for newborns they really need so little. Lots of cuddles, swaddle blankets, diapers, warm arms and lots of love. Mostly getting newborn photos is so priceless. They grow so fast and capturing those first few weeks so special! We love the work that Lisa did for us. She was patient, unhurried and captured amazing moments with all our kids!

lemon curd cupcakes

I'm so behind on stuff these days, Lindsey might have Mr. Brody before I have a chance to post pictures!!! Jeannett and I threw a shower for sweet Lindsey, her first baby. We used lemon yellow, grey and navy blue for this fun event. Lindsey is the always a ray of sunshine, despite a painful pregnancy. We can't meet Brody soon!

Jeannett did an awesome job with flowers, decor and a wonderful devotional. Lindsey's mom always sang "you are my sunshine" to all her babies, and it seemed to fit Lindsey's personality perfectly!

Some where in the middle of seating arrangements and bridesmaid drama and long talks about $$, most couples toy with the idea of running away. Here is a beautiful elopement shoot via Wedding Bells. I love the colors and textures. It is amazing what you can splurge on when your guest list becomes less than 10! I never had the guts to do it, but it sure can be tempting!

I love little details. It's hard when overwhelmed by wedding planning/ event planning to think about vases, or flowers or have the vision to imagine how it will all look together. I can't recommend enough great "day of coordinators" and event planners that share your vision. It's such a photographed day, shared by so many loved ones, you not only want it to look amazing, but YOU want the flexibility to enjoy those sweet loved ones and not even think about if the cake has been delivered or if the all the linens are pressed! Find someone who "clicks" with you, you trust and know has a great eye for style and detail!
