Steve’s Carts Mod is a great Mod that adds over 20 new carts to the game of Minecraft, all the carts are craft able so this Mod fits nicely into Minecraft 1.1 and into your Vanilla Game. The developer is still working on this Mod adding more features, ironing out bugs and over all making an amazing Mod. At the start of Steve’s Carts Mod there was only a few features and the modding seemed some what basic. The developer has obviously improved his modding skills and this Mod massively and one of the best things about Steve’s Carts Mod is the fact he takes feed back from the community! The Team Fortress 2 Sentry Gun Mod adds the Sentry Guns from Team Fortress into Minecraft, you craft the Sentry Gun and then place it on the floor, and then any mobs that come into the radius of the guns are killed. The Sentry Guns make the dispenser sound.

This is a cool Mod, yes we have dispensers in Minecraft but to get an automatic dispenser you need some red stone knowledge. The only down side to the Team Fortress 2 Sentry Gun Mod in my opinion is the fact that the Sentry Guns make the sound of a dispenser, but if they where to make a another sound AudioMod would be needed, so taking that factor into it this is a great Mod and does exactly what it says.

This Mod adds a lot including symbols, runes talismans, objects of wonder and many other mysteries including ancient obelisk, eldritch trees, crystals and a lot more! Thaumcraft Mod is all about drawing magic from objects in Minecraft and then using them powers to do other things.

You need to craft a number of items before you can start enjoying the wonders of ThaumCraft Mod. I love the fact that you need to do certain things before you can use magic the main reason I love that is because this Mod can fit nicely into the game and its not over powered. ThaumCraft Mod is very enjoyable as it adds a lot of blocks and items and you can have hours of fun with this Mod. I look forward to more additions to this Mod as it has so many possibilities and if its done well it could be great, I hope the mod developer keeps the Mod going and keeps it so it fits nicely in Minecraft vanilla.

The dynamic lighting mod adds a few brilliant features obviously to do with Minecraft’s lighting system. In my opinion some of the features of this mod should already be implemented into the game. Why!? Because some of them are so simple yet so useful. For example if you have a torch in your hand you can walk around cave systems, and you don’t have to put down torches constantly, this is because the torch in your hand lights up a small area around you. This is a nice features especially when your in a cave system and your down to your last torch and you want to explore that little bit further or you want to start heading back. Another great feature this mod adds is being able to throw lights. Now this is massive as of Minecraft 1.8.1 because of the new terrain generator system you will find a lot deep ravines which you maybe cant see the bottom of. This mod fixes that, drop a torch or two down and problem fixed!

The modder says this mod adds ‘shiny items’ and the items which are effected by this mod are as follows; (default: Torch, Glowstone, Glowdust, Lit Pumpkin, Redstone, Lava Bucket, powered Minecart)

Minecraft has a lot of mobs, but theres only one problem. Every cow looks the same every pig looks the same, ok theres sheep with a few different coloured wool but besides that they are the same. So I introduce a great mod; Randomobs. Its currently in version 4.2 and up to date with Minecraft 1.0

Randomobs gives you the ability to have as many different mobs in the game as you want. They all have different textures. The mod developer has also made it so easy to customise. So you can make your own skins for all your mobs or maybe take mob textures from texture packs and implement them into the mod!

Theres a lot of mobs of the same kind in your game now, but they all look different! I think this is a great feature and I would have loved a few different textures to be added to mobs in Minecraft. But now we have this!

New achievements
Glowstone changed from "stone" to "glass".
Amount of Experience Orbs dropped by a player on death now limited.
The ability of Endermen to carry blocks reduced in some way.
Minor changes to some textures (most notable Monster Spawner).
Ghast fireballs have a different texture.
On death, a proper score is given based on how many experience orbs the player has collected.
When flowing lava hits a water source directly from above, it creates Stone where previously the lava would flow through the water.
You can toggle between three states when pressing F5 (first person, third person back, third person front), having the addition of 3rd person view from the front.
Ender Pearls have a unique ability. When thrown, the player will teleport to the Ender Pearl's impact location, but take 2 and 1/2 hearts of fall damage. They will not work in Creative.
Golden Apples now glow purple in inventory.
Fences no longer block you from moving onto their space. You can now stand next to them, like you can with glass panes and iron bars.

Minecraft 1.9 Pre-release 6 has been released to the public. Along with new features and bug fixes, this version adds an ending to the game! The full feature list is:

Eyes of Ender now lead you straight above the ring room of a dungeon. Be careful, as this could potentially drop you into lava.
The boss of the End now has a health bar. Kill him to access the end of the game.
You can go beyond the end with these.
End spikes now have these.
Lily pads are now solid. They can now also be placed in any biome.
Stairs drop stair blocks.
Many blocks now break faster with appropriate tools, have had their “health” fixed.
Powered Minecarts will now push in any direction.
Game Option: Particle effects.
A Repeater bug was fixed.
Minecraft Boosters are working again.

New Bugs:

Wooden Doors now act like iron doors. They cannot be opened manually.
Lily pad placement animation has been made too fast.

Minecraft, what a beautiful game who thought a game about blocks could ever be so beautiful. But with the amazing mountains and multi-biomes Minecraft adds up to be a pretty beautiful game. But then you see the water, just blue. No depth, one colour no matter the atmosphere no matter the biome. The water is blue.

But now there’s a fix! The amazing water shader, a mod that makes the water look amazing. This mod makes the water more reflective, and just improves the game visually.

If you struggle with lag and low FPS I do not recommend installing this mod. But if you have a powerful computer, go install this mod and make your game more beautiful. Even if you install it just to get the experience of the mod. Its easy to install and uninstall. Install the mod see if you like it. If not uninstall. Personally I love it and I will be adding it to my game!

Smart Moving Mod for Minecraft 1.8.1

This mod is personally one of my favourite mods! It doesn’t effect the game much, but adds some amazing features which should be in the game by default. The smart moving mod gives your character a few more features, such as climbing swimming and sprinting. I know sprinting has been added in Minecraft 1.8 and that is why I am so hopeful that some of these other features will be added.

Climbing

As you know we can only climb / jump one block in Minecraft vanilla, but this mod gives you the ability to grap a block ( 2 blocks high) and pull your self up! It also gives you the ability to jump and grap a blocks ( 3 blocks high). You can also build a ladder; out of half steps, leaving a gap and you can climb it like a ladder. If you are on the edge of a cliff you can hold onto a block and edge yourself sideways! (Laura Croft style)

Swimming

This mod adds the feature of swimming into Minecraft, yes swimming not just repeatedly jumping in the water! It makes your character look like he is swimming, and by pressing the shift tab he swims faster.

I love this mod and hope you will try it out!

This Minecraft mod adds koi mobs to the game. Koi are awesome looking creatures that can be used to make fish tanks or koi ponds. They also occasionally spawn items.

Usage:
Koi spawn in fresh water near mountains, plains, and forests. They will not spawn in rivers, oceans, deserts, or swamps.
Each koi will spawn a different item. It will begin to spawn the item once you feed it that item.
Koi flakes can be crafted from mushrooms or flowers. Place two mushrooms/flowers in a shapeless recipe of either color. Throw them at koi and they will eat them.
Koi eggs can be received from koi by killing them. They will drop between 1-3 eggs. One egg can spawn up to 4 koi.

You can catch Koi and place them in a fish tank.

Or use them to decorate your garden with a koi pond.

If you're using a pre-3.0 version of Randomobs (pre-1.8.1 Minecraft), you need PReader by Roundaround. Since he decided not to distribute the old version anymore, and we still need the old version, here is a rehosted one : LINK.
The base of the mod is now part of MCPatcher. All we now ditribute are the skins for the mobs, so have fun ! We'll go on creating new skins so that your mobs are always more different !

1. Locate your minecraft bin. There are tons of tutorials about this around.

4. Run Minecraft, and enjoy.
Note : On some computers, a "macosx" or "DS_Store" file appears : it's because I work on Mac OS X. They are trash files, you can delete them without any problems ; all you need are the class files and the textures.

Add Useful Lasers to Minecraft with this Mod (1.8.1)

This mod adds lasers to the game. These lasers have fully customizable features, power, and ranges. They can be used to do everything from mod traps to fences to farming machines.
Usage:
Every laser recipe uses the ruby. The recipe for a ruby is:

The Laser:

The laser block shoots a laser beam when activated. It shoots a small, white laser beam. It is somewhat useless as it is, but a lens can help increase it’s strength.

Laser Reflector:

The laser reflector takes in a laser beam and reflects it. Just like with the laser block you can put lenses on it to increase its usability.

Laser Sensor:

The laser sensor provides power to redstone and powered devices when a laser beam is shined on it. This is perfect for sending power and signals over a distance.

Lenses:
Lenses can be used to change the colors, functions, abilities and properties of lasers. First you will need to craft a lens bench:

You will need to put a solid block on the edge to form the lens. You can use:

Cobblestone
Bricks
Stone bricks
Iron block
Gold block
Sandstone
Wood
Using an enderpearl anywhere in the recipe will give the laser advanced power.

You can change the color by putting dye into one of the other slots. Each color changes the function of the laser.
White:
Can be used as a detector.
Power 1-3: Blocked by items, mobs, and player.
Power 4-6: Blocked by mobs and players.
Power 7-9: Blocked by player only.
Red:
The red beam gives off heat. It deals damage, catches things on fire, and destroys blocks.
Power: Each level improves the damage per second, the change to set an entity on fire and the beam can dig through harder blocks. Maximum damage: 30 hearts per second!
Advanced: Prevents beam from destruction of items.
Green:
The green laser speeds up plant grow rate. If the user cuts a tree that is under the effect of an advanced green beam, the whole tree will fall.
Higher Power: Speeds up plant grow rate.
Advanced: Tree-cutting mechanism avaible.
Blue:
Slows down mobs in the laser beam.
Power n: Slows down target to n*10%.
Advanced: Slows down by vertical axis.
Yellow:
The yellow beam provides more light.
Power n: 4+n Lightlevel
Advancded: The beam passes through solid blocks as if there wasn’t any.
Cyan:
This beam can push entities.
Power n: Pulls stuff with acceleration 0.4*n m/s.
Advanced: Pushes instead. If the beam is horizontal, it also pushes entities top with same acceleration.
Purple: A hybrid of red and blue.

Putting certain items in the recipe will increase its power, up to a maximum of 9.
The power will increase the properties of the beam.

By default a laser beam will have a range of 10. The range can be increased or worsened up to a maximum of 100.

Mojang has been releasing a lot of 1.9 Pre-Releases as they get ready to officially release Minecraft in November. 1.9 Pre-Release 5 is now ready for download. This one includes:

New achievements
Block of iron texture has been changed.
You now have mushroom biome grass in your creative inventory.
Fence Posts no longer connect to leaves.
Improved stability over 1.9 Pre-Release 4.

Annoying Stair glitch fixed.
Option to disable clouds in menu.
F6 allows you to fly horizontally through blocks. You will take suffocation damage while in blocks.
F9 Adds a fixed camera angle. ( You can move this with I, J, K, and L)
Lily pads are no longer gray in inventory.
Hostile mobs will no longer attack you unless provoked when in creative mode, except for ghasts and spiders. Enemies from spawners are still hostile.
Melon slice drops are back to normal.
Pressing N,M,Y,U,O, and H changes depth of field and camera angle.
You receive a warning when changing render distance to far.
Items retain their enchantments if a chest is destroyed.
You can now look around without a mouse using: I, J, K, and L.
Game Crashing piston glitch fixed.
Player bow drawback animation improved.
Silk touch does not work on spawners.
Grass has a slightly different look.

Get Fists of Fury with the Kenshiro Mod (1.8.1)

The Kenshiro Mod for Minecraft gives the player the awesome ability to go into rage mode. While in rage mode you can use your fists to quickly punch through any blocks or mobs that get in your way. You have to watch the video to understand how awesome this mod is.

Usage:
Hold Mouse2 to go into rage mode and use your fists. You can perform a kick of justice by jumping and tapping Mouse2. It uses less stamina than fists.
You can only go into rage mode with a bare chest and empty hands. It drains a lot of hunger and stamina, so eat before raging!
Hit mobs will no longer be able to attack (except for creepers and archers). They will drop dead shortly after being hit.
While in rage mode you are able to punch though almost anything. This is perfect for punching through caves and walls.

Add Hot Air Balloons to Minecraft with this Mod (1.8.1)

This Minecraft mod adds a hot air balloon the game. Unlike most airships, the hot air balloon is compact, easy to handle, and fuel efficient. It is the perfect way to explore your world from the sky!

Propelled Hot Air Balloon:
The Propelled Hot Air Balloon uses fuel must faster than the Basic Balloon. It uses water every 2 minutes and coal every 15 seconds.

If you crash the balloon you will only get half of the original materials back.

Client - Windows Automatic Installation

Important note - this procedure works on a freshly updated Minecraft. For more complex installation, in particular with other mods, it may be preferable to use the manual procedure.

1. Download all the client BuildCraft packages that you want to install.
2. Download the Minecraft mod pack installation assistant from http://www.mediafire..._installer.jar.
3. Download the latest BuildCraft mod pack description from http://www.mediafire...aft-2.2.1.pack.
4. Double click on the file mod_pack_installer.jar. If that doesn't work, you probably need to install Java, from http://www.java.com/...nload/index.jsp
5. Select the pack that you want to install
6. You will now see all the files required. You may miss some BuildCraft packages, or some dependencies. Click on the "Download" button to get the files that are missing, and then "Refresh".
7. Once everything is green, the "Install" button should be clickable. Click on it. Let it do the magic!

Add Weeping Angels to Minecraft with this Mod (1.8.1)

This mod adds a new mob called Weeping Angels to the game. Weeping Angels are some of the most scary, dangerous creatures in the game. At first glance they look harmless and peaceful. But as soon as you look away they will change completely…
Usage:
The Weeping Angel is a rare creature. But if the player is unfortunate enough to encounter one, they will be in grave danger. When looked at it will freeze. But as soon as the player looks away it will rush towards the player. If the Angel is near a light source, it will attempt to remove it so they can attack the player in the dark.

The Weeping Angel has a 1 in 30 chance of becoming a teleporter. Teleporters will teleport the player somewhere within a 200 block radius upon attack.
On hard mode, Weeping Angels can only be killed with a diamond pickaxe. On normal they can be killed with an iron pickaxe or better.

Switch Between Versions of Minecraft with the MCNostalgia Mod!

Have you ever wanted to see what Minecraft was like in the Indev days? How about using older mods that haven’t been updated for 1.8.1 yet. Or maybe you just have an older computer and can’t stand the lag of newer versions. MCNostalgia is a handy program for Windows, OSX, and Linux that allows you to patch your Minecraft to any version, ranging from Indev to 1.9 Pre-release 2. Best of all, you can do this without messing around with different versions of Minecraft.jar.

Usage:

Extract MC Nostalgia.
Open up MCNostalgia.exe.
Now you need to configure it. Press ‘Y’ to all of the prompts like so:

Go to the “Patches” folder inside the MCNostalgia folder.
Choose the version of Minecraft that you want and copy the files from the folder into “\MCNostalgia\bin”.
Run MCNostalgia.exe again and press ’1′ to patch Minecraft to the selected version.
Close when done.

If you want to change versions again run MCNostalgia.exe and press ’2′ to unpatch.

Millénaire is a single-player mod for Minecraft. It aims to fill the "emptyness" of single-player worlds by adding NPC villages to it, with loose 11th-century Norman, North Indian and Mayans themes and additional cultures planned.

Villages are populated with men, women and children of various kinds, who perform tasks such as trading with the player, expending current buildings or improving existing ones, cultivating crops such as wheat in Norman villages and rice in Indian ones, crafting tools and powerful amulets, etc. As the village expends, the number of villagers increases as couples have children who grow up into new adults.

Help villages grow by trading with them and be rewarded with unique items such as Normand and Indian food or statues and tapestries to decorate your house with. And if they start liking you enough, they might even build you a house of your own.

Type of villagers

There are currently seven types of villagers:
- Farmers, who grow crops in the fields around their house, and bring the resulting wheat back to their house chest.
- Lumbermen, who chop trees, plant new trees with saplings they get from destroying leaves, and gather cider apples from leaves as well. They put the wood and apples they gather in their house chests.
- Wives, who have the most complex work: taking resources from their husbands' work to the various public buildings, making bread from wheat, making cider from cider apples, trading with the player and building new constructions.
- Children, born at night, and which grow up to become adults when bread is available and new houses are built.
- Guards that patrol the village
- Priests that visit the church (and the tavern...)
- Smiths, which makes Norman tools in the forge

Expansion of the village

The main "aim" of the villagers is to improve their village. There are six initial villagers, but their number will grow as they have children and build new houses. They can also build new types of buildings and improve existing ones. For this they need building materials: wood, cobblestone, glass and stone. The first they can get themselves, the rest only through trade with the player. A complete village currently includes a bakery, a tavern, a church, fountains, a presbytery, a guard tower and an (ugly) castle, plus custom buildings if advanced.

Trade with the player

There are three locations at which the player can trade with the villagers: their Town Hall, the bakery and the tavern (when built):
- Town Hall (present at start): you can sell wood, stone, cobblestone, iron and glass (plus extra blocks at time). Payment made in deniers, a special item. You can also buy wood there, and the "village wand".
- Bakery (when built, requires only wood, so normally they can do it without help): buy bread.
- Tavern (when built, requires glass, so only after you've sold enough to the villagers): buy cider and in upgrade taverns calva. Cider and calva can be used multiple times and give back health.

To trade, go to one of the locations in question and stand near the chests. If no woman is around one will arrive shortly. Right-click on her to bring up the trade screen.

Hold the left shift key while clicking on a trade good in the trade screen to trade 8 by 8 or the left control key to trade 64 by 64.

Finding a village

Since 0.1.4, the easiest way to find a village is to press the V key. If a village is nearby, it will display its name, the distance to it and the general direction. Most new worlds should have villages near the spawn point. If you can't find one at all, check in the world with the seed b. If there are none there, there is an issue with the mod install.

Creating a new village: the Village Wand

With enough deniers, you can buy a "village wand" from the Town Hall of a village. When used on a obsidian block, it will attempt to generate a new village around the block. Warning: using a village wand is dangerous, as the village can end up being built on top of you, killing you if the ground level goes up. Don't use it you can't afford a respawn...

Compatibility / installation

Millénaire is compatible with Minecraft 1.7.3 single-player only.

Millénaire uses ModLoader 1.7.3 and should be compatible with all other ML 1.7.3 mods as long as they do not use block IDs 121 to 126. To install it, first install ML 1.7.3, then copy in the minecraft.jar the class files, the gui and the mod folders. Then place the "buildingplans" folder directly in the minecraft folder (alongside bin, saves etc.). Millénaire requires quite a lot of CPU on top of the regular game, especially when generating new areas, so is not recommended for computers where the regular game lags.

Known issues
- When reloading a village, sometime two women will end up building the same thing
- Buildings should face the Town Hall, but often don't
- Occasionally pathing issues will cause a CPU-spike
- Ladders and stairs sometime not placed properly
