I love pasta and aside from pizza, lasagna is my favorite. I always cook lasagna whenever I want to eat something delicious and will satisfy my taste buds. :D

My recipe is very simple and easy to make. In the Philippines, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese are a bit expensive so I used alternatives.

Hope you'll try and cook some! :)

What you need:

9 pcs lasagna noodles
2 tbsp Olive oil
4 Cloves Garlic, minced
1 Onion, medium sized, minced
500 grms Ground beef
1 Small can button mushroom whole and cut in halves (depends if you want to cut in more pieces)
4 pcs Sweet ham

1/3 cup Parsley, chopped
1 kilo Pasta sauce (I used Del Monte sweet style Spaghetti Sauce)
pepper and salt to taste
1/2 cup QuickMelt Cheese
1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese
* If you have Mozzarella cheese, it's better or Parmesan cheese

Procedure:

Part I
Bring lasagna pasta to boil until cooked and set aside.

Meat Sauce

1- Saute garlic and onion in a saucepan in olive oil until brown.
2- Add beef and stir until brown.
3- Add mushroom and ham.
4- Dash salt and pepper and stir until cooked.
5- Add pasta sauce and parsley
6- Stir continously for 5 minutes in medium heat until sauce is cooked.

Part II
1- To assemble, spread sauce at the bottom of the pan (10x14).
2- Arrange 3 noodles lengthwise over meat sauce.
3- Repeat layers, and top with remaining QuickMelth and Cheddar cheese.
* If you have Mozzarella cheese, it's better or Parmesan cheese

Enjoy cooking and eating! :)

This is my very first dessert to post in my blog, well after hiatus for a year! I made Oreo Ice Cream Cake. Kids and even adults love Oreo! Am I right? Lol.

This is probably one of my best dessert and I hope you'll enjoy this too! :)

Ingredients:

1 Pack Oreo (150g)
3 Packs All Purpose Cream (250ml each)
1 Can Condensed Milk (14 oz)
1 Pack Graham Crackers (Chocolate)
3 Egg Yolks

Untensils:
*Spatula
*Food Chopper ( I used Sunbeam food chopper. But you can crush your oreo manually though)
*half size deep aluminum pan

Procedure:

1. Crush Oreo
2. Combine crushed oreo, condensed milk, egg yolks and cream.
3. Mix well. Set aside.
4. Layer graham crackers in aluminom pan and add the mixture. (I had 4 layers)
5. Add bits of oreo on top and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.

Enjoy Eating!:)

Scallops Adobo

Adobo is a traditional Filipino dish that is delicious and simple to cook. I've cooked pork and chicken adobo but cooking scallops adobo is a "first" for me.

Cooking Scallops Adobo just took me 10 minutes to cook. It's so easy I promise! :)

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup- Sheared Scallops
2 Cloves- Garlic
1/2 Small Size- Onion
2 Tbsp- Cooking Oil
2 Tbsp- Vinegar
2 Tbsp- Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp- Oyster Sauce
1/3 Cup- Water
1/3 Cup- Chicken Broth
2 Pcs- Bay Leaves
Pinch of Ground Black Pepper
Spring Onion (garnish)

Cooking Procedure:

Saute garlic and onion in heated pan with cooking oil.

Add the sheared scallops, stir.

Add water and let it simmer for 1 minute.

Add chicken broth, stir and let it boil for 2 minutes.

Add soy sauce and vinegar (don't stir) and let it simmer for another minute.

Add bay leaves and ground black pepper to taste.

Remove from heat and add spring onion for garnish.

Enjoy cooking and Eating!:)
Chop Suey is definitely a favorite dish for me. It can be cooked with meat or just mixed vegetables. It's a Chinese dish but is prominent part of Filipino cuisine.

Ingredients:

5 Gloves- Minced Garlic
1 Medium Size- Minced Onion
2 Tbsp- Cooking Oil
250 Grams- Pork Liver (or Chicken Liver)
250 Grams- Pork Liempo (or Chicken Fillet)
250 Grams- Button Mushroom
1 Large Can- Young Corn
1 Medium Size- Carrot
250 Grams- String Beans
250 Grams- Cauliflower
1 Medium Size- Chayote (Sayote)
1 Medium Size- Cabbage
15 Pcs- Hard Boiled Quail Eggs
70 Grams- Knorr Cream of Mushroom Soup (diluted in 1 1/2 cups of water)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Procedure:

Bring to boil the pork and pork liver for 5 minutes and cut into desired thickness and size.

In a heated pan, saute minced garlic and onion in cooking oil.

Add the pork liver and pork and stir for 3mins and the mushroom for another 2mins.

Add the vegetables, mixed and let it cook for 3 to 5mins. (Do not overcooked the veggies)

Add the diluted cream of mushroom soup. Add salt and pepper. Mixed well.

Remove from heat and add the quail eggs.

Here you go, Easy to cook! Enjoy cooking and Eating!:)

This is the first time for me to cook Beef with Broccoli and Mushroom.Cooking this dish is like cooking "Karne Prita" (one of my faves!) but for me Beef with Broccoli and Mushroom is a lot easier and faster. I cooked this dish for my husband's family who visited me last week. So here's my recipe and I hope you'll enjoy cooking like me.

Ingredients:
1 Kilo- Beef (sirloin) cut into strips
3 Cups- Broccoli
1 Cup- Button Mushroom Pieces and Stems
2 Tbsp- Vegetable or Cooking Oil
5 Gloves- Minced Garlic
2 Tbsp- Cornstarch (diluted in a cup of water)

*Sauce

2 Cups- Beef Broth
1/4 Cup- Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp- Oyster Sauce

Water and ice for Blanch

*Marinade

1/4 Cup- Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp- Oyster Sauce
Dash of Salt, pepper and seasoning to taste

Cooking Procedure:

Combine all the marinade ingredients overnight.

Combine the ingredients for the sauce in a separate bowl. Make sure to stir well

In a heated frying pan, pour-in vegetable or cooking oil and add beef strips.

Cooking the beef until the color turns to golden brown.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Stir.

Add the sauce and bring to a boil.

Add the mushroom and bring to boil for a minute.

In a separate pot, pour the water and add broccoli for a minute in boiling water.

Remove the broccoli from the cooking pot and soak in iced water for 10 seconds and then drain the excess water.

Add the broccoli and cook for another minute.

Stir-in the cornstarch and cook until the sauce thickens.

Remove the pan from heat and serve!
